The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Italian food

Fisrt time at Oggi we went with family to celebrate my partners 50th Birthday. We were not disappointed, and I'm sure nobody else would be either everything was fabulous. We were seated at a lovely table by the window, service was spot on and very efficient, there was so much choice on the menu we took a while to decide but the staff were very patient. The food was excellent everything was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented- great value for money as Italian food can sometimes be abit overpriced. The atmosphere is fast lively and fun, and then you realise why when you meet Reno the OG of Oggi wow what a character, the singing was brilliant especially when he appeared to sing 'happy birthday' with a complimentry tiramasu! Lots of Italian restaurants in Leicester but you will be hard pressed to find one like this would highly reccommend. Thanks to Reno Jan and the team for a truly memorable evening, we can't wait to come back.

Very nice steak house and grill, me and my partner both had steaks and they were cooked very well, seasoned great and tasty, deffo recommend!

This was the perfect find for our trip. Non-touristy local restaurant with great food and service. The lasagna and tiramisu were solid. Definitely recommend.

I take clients out for lunch(I am a carer). Shared a pizza and a bowl of garlic chilli fries. The pizza was absolutely delicious, I usually leave the crusts... not this time!!! It was a Monday afternoon and I was surprised how busy it was. Will definitely call again. Note for the Bistro, a couple of my clients only have a small appetite and want a child's size plate of food. I am always on the lookout for places that don't mind people having small plates of food

Received a telling off for being 30 mins late. EXCEPT we weren't as we'd phoned the day before and were told showing at 18.15 not 17.45 was fine as long as we were out by 19.45. The greeter gave us a dressing down and told us we'd have to be gone for 7.30. The stopwatch was on didn't make for a relaxing dinner. My 6th and last visit !

Our first time visiting Porro. We opted for a Sunday roast. Everything was lovely from portion size to food quality. The one thing that would have made this a 5 star review - the food was warm not hot.

A great Italian with lots of atmosphere, great service and a tempting and delicious menu. Wednesdays offer a real bargain with two set menus, both under£20, offering a generous pasta dish and a glass of wine day and evening.
