It was a Saturday night, it was full and the atmosphere was lively. The service was excellent and the attitude and efficiency of the staff indicated a well trained, happy team. The two owners were constantly calling the orders in Italian adding to the atmosphere. I started with prawns and then a rich Lasagne. Finished with a Tiramisu and an Affogati.

What a fantastic restaurant !!!, nothing is too much trouble, we went for a birthday celebration for my daughter and had a fantastic time We took my two grandchildren and they were overwhelmed with the amount of food they were served My grandson unfortunately knocked a drink over but the staff were there in seconds and not once made him feel bad , they professionally cleaned it up and the table was spotless once more The atmosphere is amazing and the surroundings superb , Will definitely go again Thankyou guys ( and girls) for making it a night to remember xxx

First, let me state I have never stepped foot in this place, I am not really sure where it is? , my partner went tonight with 2 of her friends for a meal, they are not the biggest eaters, but they really enjoyed their meal, because they had food over and it was so nice they asked to take the remainder in a carton to take home, when my partner came home she asked I wanted the chicken stroganoff she had returned home with, I had already eaten earlier but thought why not, it looked really creamy and plenty of chicken in...wow!.... it was superb, as good as anything I have ever eaten and I have been to some top restaurants all over Europe, so much so that I find myself giving a review to somewhere I have never been!... it was that nice....

We make a point of going to Vivo any time we're near Nottingham. I have ordered a different meal each time and have yet to find anything that isn't exquisite. The staff is always super friendly, and the service is always exceptional. I can not recommend them highly enough.

This restaurant is by far our favourite, the Pollo Calabrese is insanely delicious, the best garlic bread I have ever had, the atmosphere is second to non, to go in there 6 months apart and be remembered by name. All the staff at fantastic. I highly recommend Vivos in stapleford for any occasion

Had enjoyed a couple of meals at Vivo whilst visiting family who live locally. Had been impressed by the quality of the food which had prompted us to book again. Visited today for a family lunch which was delightful. Authentic very tasty food ( loved the special menu and traditional dishes ). Plenty of choice and beautifully presented food at reasonable prices. The service was welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. Massimo and the rest of the team created a warm and friendly environment and we could have stayed there all afternoon. We wish we had this restaurant on our doorstep Grazie mille……..non vediamo l'ora della nostra prossima visita

Went here for the first time, mid week around 6:45, and was it busy, and justifiably so. The food and service was excellent , and they offer 2 menus, one of specials until 7pm and a full ala carte. We went with the specials , and the food was very good, although vegetables etc are charged extra. Great Italian restaurant atmosphere, with happy and friendly staff, working together as a team. We will certainly come back again.

I’ve been to Vivo many times over the last couple of years having moved to the area and the food is always great, the welcome friendly and the service spot on. I would wholeheartedly recommend a visit and I especially like the chicken dishes (my wife is vegetarian and has always enjoyed the food too). There is a really nice and relaxed atmosphere at the restaurant and I always walk home, either on my own or as a couple, very happy I went that evening (lucky to have the place just a 5 minute walk away!) 🇮🇹

This was our first visit to this fantastic, friendly restaurant. The service was impeccable, my peroni was served in a chilled glass , prawn starter was a taste explosion , and as for my calzone, wow it was huge and delicious. Italian music played and the whole experience was special . We never waited to be asked for another drink and the owner Massimo introduced himself and asked how our meals were. Credit where credit is due guys , we will be back soon.

We are long standing customers however hadn't managed to visit for sometime. We had a fabulous lunch and were reminded why we love Vivo. The team are so welcoming and the food glorious. We can't recommend highly enough. To the team - we won't leave our next visit so long and look forward to seeing you again soon.

Good quality restaurant and worth a visit. I've revisited Vivo a couple of times since my first visit, and I've updated to 5 stars, purely for the value for money that is on offer here. Monday to Thursday before 7 pm is £12.95 for two courses, and you will struggle to find better value for your money!!

We celebrated my brother's birthday at this Italian restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience! The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making us feel right at home. The staff went above and beyond to make the day special, even singing a cheerful "Happy Birthday" in Italian to my brother. We were made to feel truly excellent from start to finish. These amazing memories are ones we will cherish fondly. Highly recommend!

What an amazing evening for my Dad's 80th. This is a superb Italian restaurant with an authentic Italian vibe. We always feel so special coming here The food is consistently of a superb standard, the service second to non and the atmosphere perfect. Massimo has worked tirelessly to build the reputation of this little gem of a restaurant in the heart of Stapleford. I do read reviews - all those reflecting the positive attributes of Vivo - and there are many - are accurate. Any negative - few and far between - are more a reflection of the people writing them than the restaurant itself in my view.

A terrible place to eat, when for a birthday meal last night the place was very loud with staff shouting at people as soon as we walked through the door, we were seated right by the bar and the staff had to squeeze past behind my seat disturbing me when ever they bought out food, when the waiter bought out our tables food he was shouting each dish aggressively as us then when nobody claimed the garlic bread he stood there just shouting "GARLIC BREAD!" until we told him to just leave it on the table, we were not allowed to put our own cheese on our food they had some kid sprinkle it for you! The door was poor I was served a piece of rubbery chicken wrapped in bacon with basically just tomato past dumped on top with a handful of chips, altogether a loud atmosphere, staff shouting nonstop and food not brilliant

The absolute nicest, took our reservation last minute on a Saturday night, didn’t mind our puppy joining us, and the food was superb, authentic, and perfect.

I had a lunchtime early menu meal deal today. 2 course meal for a very reasonable price. Plus some beautiful Italian Peroni lager. Me and my friend (Jon and Magg's) are always made welcome here, we feel like film stars the way the staff treat us. The food is well presented and being Italian is extremely healthy food tasty and good for your health. Keep it up.

Vivos restaurant is situated on the main road in stapleford & has very good connections for local transport & has a very nearby bus stop , plus it's very own car park to the rear which is free for it's customers , so no worries about time slots for parking charges . The premises are kept clean to a very high standard & I noticed a hand sanitizer dispenser is available for customer use , which is a good option for safety & hygiene . The decor is ultra modern contemporary & mood lit with various lighting features that are changing throughout the day , depending on the time of your visit , the night time is especially pleasant as the blue hues & spot lit corners add to a very romantic & intimate atmosphere . The music policy at the time of my visit was modern Italian popular music & it was playing at an ambient level of volume so as not to overpower the vivo dining experience . The food @ vivos is classic Italian & also some modern takes Vivo style !! , which are prepared by the highly skilled Vivo chefs , who can be seen working Their magic in the open view chefs cooking station which is a unique feature of the restaurant . The pizza here is a hand crafted variety & not a generic bought in base !! , so please don't expect a uniform mass produced style pizza , this is classic pizza & pizza done well !! . Vivos also do have an extensive varied menu that caters for most tastes , from pasta to meat & fish options , plus a Prezzo fisso menu for the early diner , which is a good value for money option . Vivos also has a good selection of alcoholic drinks & a good selection of Italian fruit soda's which are sensibly priced , I had the house wine upon my visit & it was of a very good standard ! , particularly the rosé which was very easy going & served well chilled . The staff/ owners are very welcoming , polite & friendly & always make your visit a special one . So if you like classic Italian food & good service , coupled with pleasant surroundings then vivos could be your next place visit . RECOMMEND PIZZA THE CLASSIC MARGHERITA , RECOMMEND LIQUOR THE CLASSIC STREGA !! traditional herbal liquor from Benevento , a must for the more adventurous drinkers !! .

A fab local restaurant with excellent and attentive service. Had a New Year's lunch with my mum and sister here on 3rd Jan. Lunchtime menu is excellent value. Decent sized portions for 2 course options. Massimo and Alesandro are welcoming and funny. Lots of Italian banter across the dining room and it's a lovely welcoming atmosphere and GREAT for families with children too. Parking at rear and the bus stop is literally right outside the restaurant to Notts, Derby, Long Eaton/Sawley, Ilkeston etc so easily accessible if you want to make the most of the wine list too ;-) Definitely be back again soon with my family. Came here last night for my brothers birthday, one of the best ‘eating out’ experiences i’ve had in a long time. Food was fantastic and the staff we’re so friendly and even sang happy birthday to my brother 😂 got everyone singing, the two guys who own/run? the place made a real effort to make us feel welcome…..I cannot fault this place, will definitely be returning for future meals out 🙌 highly recommend….p.s. try the Calzone 👌 it’s spot on!

I travel to the area frequently for work and always rotate into here for an evening meal once in a while. The food for the price and location is consistently good and as a lone diner I always feel in good company. I regularly bring new starters to the business here so they know a consistent place to dine with a warm welcoming atmosphere.

Tasty Italian food. I had the chicken with rosemary, olives and cherry tomatoes in a tomato sauce. My wife had the Margherita pizza. My wife and our friends also enjoyed a selection of ice cream and sorbet.

Vivo is the best Italian restaurant in the area and always one of the best restaurants in town. Always a warm welcome from Massimo and Alessandro. Amazing food and an especially good value Early Diner menu. It's so good you'll want dessert and coffee too.

A first class experience from beginning to end. We were greeted with a smile and taken to our table, which was clean and nicely set out, in a modern setting. Everyone who served us was pleasant and attentive, but not overpowering. The food was well presented and just the right potions. Our meal, including drinks, was very reasonably priced. We will definitely be visiting this restaurant again soon.

What a find! We are staying locally so took a stroll out looking for somewhere to eat and found Vivo. Vivo has a lovely, welcoming atmosphere which we really enjoyed. The food was delicious-I had sea bass and my husband had carbonara. We followed this with coffee and the chocolate mousse. The chocolate mousse deserves a special mention- it had a beautiful silky texture, topped with orange and garnished with orange peel and mint leaf - wonderful! The food was beautifully presented, fresh, tasty and generous portion sizes. A really lovely experience!

Good place for family gatherings and to enjoy very tasty Italian food. The parking lot is small and parking can be difficult in the area. Prices are reasonable. Staff was friendly but it was a little chaotic.

We booked a 6.30 table for 2 a couple of weeks ago thinking that service and food would be better earlier in the evening. Wrong on both counts. The owner was irritable bordering rude after keeping us waiting while he stressed over the large party that arrived the same time as us. Despite there being 2 waitresses standing around and 2 bar staff he appeared to be determined to take all food orders and serve food himself. He gave the impression of being a very controlling man. When the food finally arrived it was lukewarm. The tarragon sauce didn't appear to have any tarragon in and the portion size of my friends ravioli was very small. It felt as though the chefs were trying to eek out the food that they had as otherwise there wouldn't have been enough for the large party as well as the other customers who were arriving. We had to wait around for someone to bring the card reader so we could pay the bill. Not a relaxing evening at all with unimpressive food. We won't be going there again

The wife and I came here randomly the other day. We've been before but not for at least 10 years. I fancied the steak but wasn't expecting much as I tend to go to steakhouse's for steak. All I can say is "wow". A huge lump of fillet cooked to perfection wrapped in an Italian ham with a cheese sauce and bowl of grilled vegetables. The combination was amazing and a bargain for the price. I'd go here again just for steak. The service was great too, very polite and couldn't do enough.
