Popped in for lunch with familly. Lovely little place with relaxed and freindly atmosphere. Had the porchetta with rosemary potatoes and green beans. It was one of the best meals I have ever had! Homely, comforting and authentic. My wife had the Rigatoni pasta with Sicilian sausage, that was also VERY good. We finished with coffee and canollo. A very pleasant experience. Will definitley be returning when in the area.

Second visit to Compa Nottingham City Centre, both times we have really enjoyed both the food and service. This visit we had the Funghi Arancine, Caponata and Norma, all were very good, full of flavour.

I was so looking forward to the aubergine parmigiana. It came in a bowl with a few slices of aubergine floating in a lot of very nice tomato sauce, with a sprinkling of parmesan on the top. It had not been layered and baked as a whole, which i was expecting - just the separate ingredients assembled in a dish. For the price it was very disappointing and really needed a lot more aubergine and a significant amount more parmesan. The side of fried potatoes with rosemary and onion was pleasant, but neither of the latter two ingredients could be seen or tasted. My friend enjoyed her rigatoni. The ricotta cannolo was lovely. Compa offered a lunchtime deal, 2 courses (a starter- one option- and three mains to chose from) for £10, which i wish I had opted for. The person serving was friendly and helpful.

Great, authentic sicilian food packed with flavour. Service was excellent with both guys being really welcoming and attentive. Don't be deceived by the dish sizes, they really are packed with lots of tasty goodness. Lovey dining experience....Will definitely return.

My husband and I had the bruschetta which for something so simple….I can’t believe how delicious it was! They also gave us the warm salad that was eggplant onion et cetera and that had so much it was so good. Our dinner was delicious. Definitely will go back and definitely recommend. Oh, and the lemon tiramisu was fresh and yummy. **Nottingham location

Very friendly staff, quick and efficient service. Too small plates for main meal, it was difficult to cut one piece of food to don't cut another. The green beans was a bit overcooked and didn't taste super fresh. Nice arancini tho and atmosphere.

Me and my boyfriend had an amazing meal here on New Year’s Eve, the food and taste and service was perfect. Flavour in all of the food was incredible. Felt very authentic Italian. The staff was so friendly and polite and everything was so clean. Would highly recommend.

I shared the most wonderful of New Year’s Eve meals at Compa with my friend. If I was to sum up Compa I would say smiles, warmth and beautiful wine bottles…with delicious homely food and great olives! Can’t wait to trial the city centre one too! A real Beeston gem!

The service was excellent as we were a large party having a christmas meal. The menu was wide ranging and the quality of the food was wonderful. Can definitely recommend this restaurant for some wonderful authentic Sicilian food.

Overall disappointing. We had two different Arancine and taste wise it was hard to rell the difference, both were bland. The Pasta Ragu dishes were okay but again, in the one with the Sicilia sausage, there wasn't a lot of flavour. The wine at £9.95 for a large glass is very expensive. I can't see the point of a television displaying pictures of Sicily, background music would be nicer. The staff were friendly.

We came for a meal after a graduation ceremony at the University. The pasta was great and the cassata and lemon tiramisu were very tasty too. Nice light informal setting and very friendly service. Will come back in the evening.

Do you know those places where, as soon as you step in, you feel like you've been transported to an entirely different world? It’s warm, cosy, and all your senses are indulged in the most wonderful way. That’s exactly how it feels in this place. From the very first step, you can sense the passion, the desire to create something that goes beyond the simple "buy food - sell food" concept. The lady, who I believe is the owner (an Italian), was incredibly lovely. When she noticed that my girlfriend loves pistachios, she brought out a little plate of pistachio cream from the kitchen! The food was absolutely delicious, and you can tell the chef in the kitchen truly knows what they’re doing! The waiter also deserves a 5-star rating. I highly recommend this place because it’s not just about eating – I genuinely felt relaxed, as if I were in a real Italian restaurant where everything is authentic, and nothing is pretended. I will definitely return! Huge applause to everyone who contributes to creating this amazing place.

A wonderful restaurant. I went for lunch, and ordered the porchetta and it was amazing. I had a delicious torta al caramelo for dessert which was a gluten free, homemade cake. The staff were friendly which makes me want to go again.

Very authentic restaurant. Was able to walk in without booking in advance but this was midweek. I imagine at peak times, this place will be full! Beautiful food. The flavour of the lasagne……absolutely excellent and not smothered in the creamy white sauce I’m used to seeing. Was helped to pronounce some of the dishes without being patronised. Owner very warm and welcoming without being overbearing or insincere. When I next visit Beeston (my son’s a student at Uni of Nottingham) I will definitely return.

Food was delicious and great service on a busy Saturday night. The only minor thing was the pasta could’ve been a bit hotter but I’m really splitting hairs with this. Will be very happy to return and to visit the new restaurant in Hockley when it opens.

I went to this Sicilian restaurant in Nottingham with my family, and we all left satisfied and full. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with furnishings that recall the colors and sea of ​​Sicily, bringing a bit of sun even on the grayest days. Each dish is prepared with the freshest and most authentic ingredients rated 5/5, with vegan options that have managed to surprise and please us all. The staff, made up of the family that runs the place, is extraordinarily kind and attentive: they welcomed us with a smile and made us feel at home. The "chef's imagination," which changes daily, was a pleasant surprise, and the cannoli, crunchy and authentic, gave us a taste of Sicily in every bite.

Fantastic place! Extremely reccomended. I have been there for a dinner with my girlfriend, and we had a great time. The atmosphere is amazing, a really cozy familiar feeling space. The food is absolutely incredible. We had arancine and caponata for starters and both were super tasty and full of flavour. For me the best was the porchetta (italian slow cooked pork) we had as a main: tender, juicy and with a fantastic crunchy skin. The cherry on top have been the cannolo we had as a dessert. The staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful! Definitely reccomended, I will be back 100%, 5 stars

This is a perfect combination of food, ambiance and service. It’s difficult to single out a particular feature which makes this a great venue to visit. So I give my compliments to the owners who work well to bring together all the elements which make a visit worthwhile. Really a great restaurant!

Our first visit here after recently moving to the area. A great selection of food, we had difficulty choosing 😊 We settled on ragu arancine and bruschetta pomoforo. Both excellent but filling. Next time we will share a starter. For mains i had Spiedini Di Pollo, absolutely delicious. I couldn’t eat it all and was kindly offered take home box, the skewers were excellent the next day. My husband had Pasta Con Ragu Di Salsiccisa, very tasty. No room for dessert for me but an affogato enjoyed by husband. We also enjoyed the house red wine. Really great atmosphere in the restaurant. Very friendly service. We will definitely be back and highly recommend you to try it too. 😊

Our second visit and will definitely be returning. Every plate is fresh, delicious and made with pride. Service is exceptional, they are very friendly, helpful and a pleasure to be around. We were served by the son on our first visit, and Angela on our second, she took time to talk to us about the dessert wines available and how these would be enjoyed traditionally and even complimented our order with a wine of her very own not on the menu. It is rare to find food so delicious and service so genuine, it is literally like you are in their home being served from their own kitchen. We find it a little pricey for our budget but not for the quality you recieve so when we can afford it, we will be back!

Lovely Italian restaurant on Wollaton Road in Beeston. The food comes well presented and not too large portions - perfect for me. Main courses around £15 and desserts around £7.00. My bill for one person was around £30.00 including dessert and a drink. Well worth a visit.

Called this restaurant to see if they would be able to provide some catering for a meeting nearby. Angela was very responsive and they cooked delicious food for 14 people. Lasagne and Parmigiana was so tasty. They delivered the food too, perfectly on time and well packaged. Thank you so much!!

Stopped in here for coffee and a sweet treat with my daughter, and we found it to be such a warm and friendly place with a lovely welcoming vibe from the owner. I had an absolutely gorgeous slice of torta della nonna and my daughter really enjoyed her cannoli. I can highly recommend this as a place to visit for lunch, and I definitely want to come back for an evening meal as the menu looks great with plenty of vegetarian choices.

Second visit to try even more delicious Sicilian food, in a lovely homely atmosphere. Ordered a selection of starters and mains to share together and to try lots of different things. Stand outs were the polpette (meatballs)- great quality meat and the most amazing rich tomato sauce, and the Burrata (cheese)- super soft and creamy and accompanied perfectly with tomatoes, honey & walnuts. House red wine is beautiful and the service was lovely and friendly. Would highly recommend and will be back again to try even more of the main menu and they now do pizzas too!

A very homely, genuine, and delicious meal. Firstly the service was well timed and friendly. We were left for the perfect amount of time to decide what we wanted and the guy who served us was very friendly. We ordered a number of starters and mains to share between the two of us, and asked for it all to be brought out at the same time. Usually this never really happens but it really did all come out at once. We felt like we waited for the perfect amount of time, not too long, but also it didn't come out really really fast. The food was delicious, I could not fault it in any way. Every dish tasted genuine and was full of flavour. Overall, the perfect restaurant experience really. I will definitely be returning to try some of the other dishes. Thanks.

Everything we had was fresh and delicious. Went with friends but will 100% be going back with my husband in the near future. We had arancini for starters and shared 3 different flavours, all great - personal favorite was the mushroom. I had a pasta dish for main, delicious. And we all had different cannolo for dessert. Again, all fantastic. Modern technology for splitting the bill which made it easier.

Took a day trip to beeston today with my partner and we had a lovely experience at Compa! It’s a family run restaurant and they were extremely welcoming and warm. The decor is gorgeous and truly transports you back to Sicily. We had their breakfast plates which have been a new addition to their menu- the tomato sauce in the pizza eggs was sweet and well spiced. The classic Italian bread was crusty and fresh. The brioche buns had a slight orange zest and the perfect dough-y consistency. We also tried their lunch starters of Aranicni and sausage ragu- the flavours were spot on and reminded us of the food we had eaten in Italy. Lastly, we finished off with desserts of the fresh ricotta Canoli and were gifted a gelato bowl. We chose strawberry gelato which was creamy and has small pieces of strawberry running through. The best bit was the gelato is vegan so well catered for diets et requirements. Speaking with the hosts, they cater for gluten free and halal too. Top quality ingredients are used and that reflects in the delicious dishes. An amazing and unique restaurant to the Nottingham food scene and we cannot wait to be back.

The service was excellent and the food was delicious - really traditional and flavoursome. They were great at advising on gluten free options too. We will definitely be back and are lucky to have this lovely place in our neighbourhood!

Authentic Sicilian fare like Nanna used to make. It was introduced to me as 'not cheap' but I didn't think the prices were unreasonable for the quality and quantity and I like to pay fair for local independent businesses. The canolo at £6.95 was the only thing that felt steep but it was the best canolo I've tasted in this country outside of London so fair enough. I've marked it down one for the tableware - because a) the fancy patterned plates were plastic, but I see they are going for a theme with the colours and patterns, and b) the shape of the table knives is a bit silly. But then, I wasn't eating the cutlery.

Went to Compa for my Mother's birthday celebration this past Sunday. We were a party of 9 with 1 disabled member and are not very organised! Angela was fantastic from my initial online enquiry and she and the team were even better in person. Friendly, helpful, attentive, they could not do enough for us to make us feel welcome and special and the food was AMAZING. A real hidden gem - 11/10 - go here!

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Compà. The food was delicious - more so than we had hoped - and the waiting staff were able to provide both explanations and recommendations of dishes and accompaniments. The menu was clearly labelled with allergens and prices, which were reasonable We had a lovely time and will certainly plan to visit again in the future. If you’re craving authentic Sicilian cuisine, you’ll not be disappointed.
