The best restaurants serving Indian food in South Wales

Despite all the negative reviews...I have never had a bad meal from here...and tonight (friday) the service was faultless! I rang at 8mins to closing with hope I could order food for delivery...he said sorry it was collection only and i stated i could not drive and thankyou anyway. Not only did the man accept my order but he walked the order to my house! The food was the best I've had and was delivered promptly and hot. 10/10 for service...outstanding...he could have just said no we are closed, but instead went above and beyond! We ordered a take away from here on Friday night and I could honestly say it was the worst meal I have ever had, I don’t know what the chips were cooked in but they tasted diabolical. The whole of the meal went into the bin, we couldn’t eat any of it. if I could give no stars I would

We were passing and decided to go for a meal as we had never been before, the food was of a very poor standard, we ordered a vegetable curry which could only be described as being a curried bag of frozen vegetables. The rest of the food was also poor and of a low standard. The service however was good.

Let me help you say that in English: I visited Spice Rout e Cardiff Restaurant yesterday. It is a buffet system restaurant. There are a lot of South Indian dishes, Chinese items, chaat items, sweets, a range of desserts dosa, chutney, and starters. I enjoyed the unlimited food a lot. The service was very good but they have improve the ambience. The lighting and chairs could have been better. Otherwise the food taste is super.

We reserved a table for 7pm and turned up to an empty restaurant, with no staff anywhere. Radio and TV were blasting. We went to the hotel to find a member of staff who assured us the restaurant was open. Upon returning to the restaurant the omly member of staff apologised and said she was busy (restaurant was empty). We ordered drinks, my boyfriend had his pint and the waitress asked me again for my drinks order as she'd forgotten it. A gin and slimline tonic!! I was given my drink which was gin and soda!! When I retùrned it to the bar, I was told that's what I ordered, and then said they don't have slimline tonic. We drank the drinks and cancelled the reservation and left!! They need to train their staff in customer service.

Food was lovely but could not pay with card so had to go to the cash point.

Up to now, they were great, ive left 5 stars. But this time, I ordered the same dhansak and got bhuna flavoured curry. Heavy on the onions too. Super oily, super spicy. Very disappointed.. Late delivery, but to sweeten the deal, I got extremely sick. Very very disappointed bro.

Ordered from Uber Eats apparently they just delivered to another house. Didnt even resemble my address. They do their own deliveries after contacting uber eats. I would avoid if you want a guaranted delivery on a weekend . Sorry I cant comment on the food only the service, but they both go hand in hand. A very dissapointed family on a Friday night. Please dont make teh same mistake we did. I wont ever be ordering from them again.

Had food delivered to pontllanfraith which to be fair is quite a distance from the shop for a delivery service. food was delivered 30 mins late to the time I asked for it which isn't to bad considering the distance covered and food was delivered hot and was really nice tasting. I couldn't say a negative thing about it.

Seems to be permanently shut, phone disconnected, but website is still taking orders. Had to recover money from PayPal.
