Mo's Kitchen. Pontypridd. in Rhondda Cynon Taf

My first order here in September 2024 and it arrived earlier than delivery estimate and the food was great and loads of it. Second order today (Oct 20th 2024) - ordered at 17:55 , just eat delivery estimate 18:50 . Then revised to 19:10 . At 19:20 status has changed to delivered - it wasn't delivered. I called and was told that there is no order for my address/postcode/delivery code, but they'll check and call back. Of course no call back. So I call again and offer to provide the order number however they start telling me my address and that the delivery has happened. I reiterated that I haven't had the delivery and queried where they delivered to - if it went to a neighbour I'd go round and get it. Suddenly a change of story: the delivery driver left a few minutes ago, so shouldn't be long and apologised for the delay... I'm writing this review 20 minutes later (and 2 hours since ordering) and of course no delivery. If it does get delivered then I'll revise this review but at this rate I'm not holding my breath.

Food was cold. No flavour at all. Didn’t even have a smell! Naan was terrible and solid - even popped in microwave it was solid with no flavour of garlic what so ever. Reported to just-eat who only offered £6 refund for our entire order.

Awful, wrong order delivered, we rang to to tell them and they said correct food on the way. 45 minutes later no sign of the food, rang up to ask again and they hung up on me. Went to the restaurant in person and finally got what was missing, 4 portions of rice and a naan bread. Naan bread was stale and inedible. My wife found raw chicken in her curry and spent much of the night vomiting

Long wait and service was shocking. food wasnt good

not up to normal standard. Naan breads were tough as old boots, need a good set of gnashers to eat them

Very watery sauce on both curries! Poppadom was soft in pasty’s also. Disappointing flavour. Onion Bhaji was good.

Disappointing, don't bother. Waste of money. I've ordered here before. I don't know what's happened to the quality of the food, but it was awful. Korma was like water and had no taste, same for mint sauce. Tandoori chicken dry. Keema nan, dry and hard, meat inside very limited and dry also. This is a customer who will never return. Tried to call the shop, but could not get a reply due to my disappointment.

Tonight chips were dry,and cold.Prawn cocktail was a lot smaller than we normally have and hardly any sauce on it.The tikka masala didn't have much chicken in,wasn't impressed at all this time which is sad as we normally get good food here.

Aside from being late, unfortunately the food was tasteless and watery. The naans were slightly undercooked and there was only one small piece of meat in the keema naan and no trace of coconut in the peshwari one. I won’t be returning.

Unfortunately all the food was tasteless and watery, the tikka and pasanda were terrible. Also the onion bhaji’s were horrible. Sorry but I won’t be ordering anything from there again.

It turned up cold I ordered a large rice it was in a large tray but not even half full the garlic mushrooms the quantity was very very poor ordered king prawns they weren’t king prawns and again 3 prawns for £15 my whole meal was inedible

Order never showed but said it had been delivered, contacted restaurant 3 times with them replying the drivers going to be a few minutes or that the drivers already been, shocking how the business is allowed on this app. Do not recommend.

Well worth a visit. Take your own alcohol food is really good.

Avoid. tasteless watery mess. Nothing had any flavour, rice was about the best bit. Curry no flavour and watery, tandoori grill, tasteless and watery, onions not cut up, naan bread wanted to fight me it was that tough. Won't be back.

Went there last night place is rundown and dirty young boy serving curry did not no menu portions are so small I was so disappointed you would think now one curry house has had a fire and there’s a major event going on they would get there act together very disappointed and would never go back

This is a review about Mo himself and not the restaurant. Mo also owns a taxi business and he is so caring and friendly. I was walking and afraid and he not only asked to see if I was okay but when I voiced my concerns about this boy following me he not only looked out for me but offered and gave me a lift knowing I had no means to pay he saw I was afraid and the reasoning for my fear and he didn’t hesitate to help. If only there was more people like Mo out there thank you so much!

Both Keema Naans were basically thick bread with the most minute bit of keema in the middle. Absolutely awful. The curries were ok at best, and the rice was overcooked

Worst food I have ever received. Chicken tikka masala was tasteless and very watery. There was only 6 small pieces of chicken in it. Prawn biryani was also tasteless and had very few prawns. Peshwari naan bread was so tough it was hard to break and tasted awful. Won’t be ordering from here again.

Lovely sit down Indian in Saturday night food was quickly served very tasty 4 of us eating pretty good on prices aswel used before sit in and take away will use again

I wish I could be more supportive of a local business, but they can't even get a basic Naan Bread right. Service is veeeeeery slow and no-one will explain what's happening until the food arrives after a long wait.

The curry and rice we had was lovely albeit a bit cold by the time it arrived. The onion bhajis were amazing and the best thing we had. The naans however, were awful. Not sure if shop bought or what but they were not nice at all. We haven’t ordered from here for a while because of issues before but gave it a try but unfortunately a little disappointing

First time ever ordering from here it was disgusting burnt mushroom rice under cooked onion bajiees literally the worst Indian I've ever had and took 1hr 45 mins to arrive crazy AVIOD wasting your money here

Nice place and the food was cooked ok but very small portions, we're not massive eaters by any means and the mos special chicken steak burger 👀 only thing special about it was it was the most thin, sad looking chicken burger I've ever seen in my life

We ordered online and when it arrived we sat down at the table and started dishing up. Everything was watery. I had the chicken korma, bland. Zero flavour and just ran across my plate. The mint sauce and mango chutney were both thin and no flavour. My naan was ok but my partners wasn't even cooked. So very disappointed, always gone here but this is the last time we waste our money. Properly gutted

ok thats the last time ordering from here portion sizes are a complete joke we always order tandoori mixed grill ,onion bhaji rice with sauce , the mixed grill was tiny and i mean tiny the skinniest sheek kebab ive ever seen smaller than my finger, 2 little chunks of tika ,1 tiny chewy piece of lamb and the quater of tandoori chicken was again tiny think quail size, the naan bread was hard oh nearly forgot the garnish of 1 tiny onion petal all that for £12 , the onion bhaji was just ok 1 was perfect the other 3 slightly under cooked ,the keema rice was good but not full tub and the curry sauce was very bland and this was half full ,the salad was crap too with most of the lettuce brown but the mint sauce was lovely, we have noticed the deterioration over the last month or so but last night was the last for us its a shame because mo's was the best about at one time

We had an excellent takeaway from Mo's last night! The food was exceptionally good and Mo could even stretch to a cab ride home when the town centre was as quiet as it was yesterday evening.

Ordered a takeaway as had a leaflet through the door. Delivery was an hour late. Food was mediocre bombay potatos were still hard not cooked through wont be ordering from there again

Ordered food at 7 o’clock and given delivery time between 19.40-20.00. At 20.15 no sign phoned and told food has just left and will be 10 minutes. Phoned again at 20.45 spoke to someone different who said the drive has just picked it up and is on the way! Food finally turns up at 21.15. Absolute shambles of a place 2 hours for the order to arrive and part of the order missing. Phoned up to enquire where my order was and young girl on the phone didn't have a clue what she was doing. Do not use if you want a decent meal. Customer service is a joke

food was tasty ,but ordered naga and it wasn't very hot like I have ordered from elsewhere and the chilli tikka wasn't spicy . like I said it was tasty ,buy if your ordering currys that are supposed to be very hot then that is what you expect. I also found that Changing the time 3 times was not good .would I order again ,probably not

Can’t fault it!! Food was only delivered about 10/15 minutes ago and we’ve already finished it! Absolutely gorgeous, cheaper than any other Indian I’ve had and it’s nothing but pure quality food!! Definitely coming back!!

Really disappointed. I have ordered a few times from Mo and always been very happy. Tonight though I was not so happy. Don't get me wrong, as usual the food was outstanding, but it was delivered an hour late. I could have coped with that, but the food was cold, hardly luke warm. Had to reheat everything, thankfully the wonders of the microwave helped. It will not stop me from ordering again because as I said the food was outstanding, but please Mo try and get it delivered on time and hot. Look forward to ordering again.

Another visit to M'os Kitchen. It is even better than before. As well as a good full breakfast they now serve the best breakfast omlet that I have had for a very long time. Mine was with hash browns and beans. Next time omlet with bacon. The food is freshly cooked and very tasty. I have also visited the restaurant in the evenings when it becomes an Indian restaurant that also provides a takeaway service. The quality of the Indian food is well above average. I have become a regular and enjoy working through the many choices on the menu.

Order arrived 2 hours 20 mins after ordering and the restaurant then delaying. Naan was burnt, bhajis undercooked, curry’s watery and flavourless, overall a disaster - never again

My food finally arrived over 2 hours after ordering. I wanted it to be good as I’ve previously eaten in the restaurant and it was good . Tonight it was awful my chicken chilli Bhuna was lacking any kick , the entire meal needed warming up on arrival and my naan bread was in about 15 different pieces , looked like it had been kicked around the kitchen . Very very disappointing, over 2 hours to wait for a very disappointing meal

Ordered 8.25pm with estimated delivery 9.25-9.40. At 9.25 changed to 10.10 - 10.25. Phoned at 10.25 and told on its way. 10.55 received and missing a half and half. Tried contacting the restaurant but no answer. Enjoyed starters, korma was awful, no flavour at all just like eating warm water. Tikka masala was nice. Naan bread was awful, same texture as a Welsh cake. Also ended up needing to cook food for the missing half and half. Kind of defeated the idea of a takeaway. Our first time ordering and I can very surely say we won't be back

Popped in on the off chance after a few pints at the Tumble Inn. Sad to see it deserted apart from very frequent delivery drivers. That aside, we had a great welcome and enjoyed a cracking meal - poppadoms and pickles - followed by Naga chicken (vindaloo strength), mushroom rice and garlic nan; bob the builder balti (Ceylon) which frazzled my mate; our other mate had a more sedate mixed balti which he polished off Worth a visit

It may of been a little late but it was well worth the wait, I think this simply reflects the quality of the food which I must say was great, very nice indeed and certainly worth the wait. 👏👏

I'm so sorry, i don't want to leave a bad review , but the food was poor quality. Tinned pineapple was awful, rice had an awful aftertaste. Please consider refunding me. Very disappointed

Today me with my partner get inn the restaurant with welcoming smile but we didn't know what was waiting for us ! Saw 2 more customer was shouting cause of late service! One of them Waiting since 1 hour 10 minutes My partner ordered noodles which was served black burn ! And smell of burning! Even the manager was telling us it wasn't their fault as he was saving his back .. The environment was good but later on the staff's of that restaurant behaviour made more horrible environment.... They shout loudly in kitchen that u can hear from table ! 1-2 staff running carelessly that body touching by table , and they weren't even care of customers! They force people to give 5 star

Probably the worst Indian we've tasted. The korma was watery No flavour in any of the dishes Some chips weren't cooked and they gave lamb instead of chicken... Declined us a refund. Awful. Never again

The curries where watery and we didn't enjoy the at all. I had a korma that was flavourless. We've ordered from mo's before and it was nice. This was on a Saturday we ordered, don't know if that made a differance. But it was just dissatisfying. Sorry.

This place is so hit and miss, curry was very runny, hardly any meat in either curry. Very disappointing.

Even after a time change was still late

I am an avid curry lover and I can honestly say this is one of the worst curries I have ever tasted. Consistency of a jarred curry with added dried spice. I could have made a better one myself. I was really looking forward to Indian food tonight and am so disappointed that I will be going out for Indian again tomorrow. Will not be ordering from here again.

Food was late I also had all bits in my egg fried rice even though I phoned and asked for it plain and they told me it was just egg in there.

We ordered pilau rice, two naan breads, chicken bhuna and chicken passanda. All the food was hot and incredibly rich in flavour, can’t believe it was our first time ordering from Mo’s but it won’t be our last!

Ordered a takeaway from Mo’s. Really quick delivery and food was piping hot. Ordered the Korma which was more of a liquid rather than creamy and mint sauce lacked mint.

Lovely staff, food very tasty, very clean and I highly recommend Good idea bringing your own booze What more do you want in Pontypridd As an ex ponty boy who's done very well living in London I suggest you visit, you will not be disappointed

Gone down hill since last visit.I had a sausage sandwich which was very bland no taste plus I had a hot chocolate which was very milky, I couldn't taste the chocolate as milk was over riding it

Delivery was delayed and then missing a main. Called the restaurant and after some confusion they agreed to bring the missing meal which was delivered within 10 minutes. Mushroom bhaji and prawn balti both hotter than the usual medium but all in all everything was delicious.

Was given 20.20 -20.40. Had to phone them. Was told 10 minutes. 20 minutes later was delivered. Food okay. Missing the chips.

When there this morning. Asked for a breakfast roll. Well I got sausage and egg and it was poorly cooked. Put it straight in the bin. Will never go there again or wouldn't recommend it to no one avoid for breakfast

Very nice food and friendly staff

The lamb dish was really chewy due to it being poor quality and fatty ( like gristle). Chicken pakoras were covered in thick batter and very dry. Didn't enjoy the meal in general. A waste of £32 on a meal that we didn't eat.

Every time I’ve ordered from this place it’s been late the restaurant is 8 minutes away from me and it took about 30 minutes after the app said it was with the driver not ordering again

So disappointed with the breakfast today no BACON how can you have a full breakfast without BACON you have sausage so what’s the difference Staff are lovely but I’m afraid we won’t be back until BACON is back on the menu Denise
