Estaba señalando hacia la Palmera sobre mi típico restaurante indio, para asistir a una celebración de cumpleaños. Claramente, la persona que ha recomendado normas inferiores a mí. La comida en toda justicia era buena, pero no estaba impresionado con el servicio. El servicio era más lento de lo que yo estoy acostumbrado y el camarero necesita re-asistir a la escuela de encanto. Claramente, no es un persona y no personas sonrisa. Después de terminar, pregunté si algunos de la comida restante podría tenerse en casa. Me cobraron por contenedor y luego me dio traslado a la comida en ellos. No es lo que estoy acostumbrado a con todos los muchos restaurantes que he estado en los últimos 30 años. Luego tuvo el descaro de preguntarme si quería dejar una propina? No hace falta decir que no. A partir de ahora de llevar a visitar Indiaah, también en Pontyclun, donde hay buena comida, buen servicio y un mejor ambiente y al menos te sonríe cuando se llevan su dinero.

Este lugar ha sido un restaurante indio por tres décadas. Actualmente, la palmera tiene una excelente relación calidad-precio con grandes porciones. Elección es limitada, pero eso no resta la calidad de la comida, especialmente al ser vegetariano. Elección de la pecials' es de gran calidad y dos puedes comer bien por menos de 20 libras. Sin duda lo recomendaría.

Comí aquí la semana pasada, con un pequeño grupo de colegas de trabajo, el personal era muy amable y bien informado.Los precios eran muy bueno, la comida estaba bien, pero tengo que admitir que he tenido mejores.Mi mezclados no tienen un Tandoori mucho de la carne, el arranque fue como un pollo tortitas esta era excelente (no estoy seguro del nombre)Volvería de nuevo.

Disfrutamos de la comida aquí - la guerra curry delicioso y una selección muy variada. Las porciones eran enormes, así que muy bien también. El único aspecto negativo era que el restaurante estaba demasiado caliente como todos los radiadores estaban llenos y el lugar estaba lleno. También el servicio era bastante lenta, que tarda casi 40 minutos en llegar nuestras bebidas, de hecho, el primero llegó poppadoms!

Yo y mi otra mitad a menudo a la palmera para una fecha de la cena. Que los dos somos bastante limpia, así que tomamos siempre son a menudo difíciles. La palm hace un oferta especial muy buena, que siempre deja sobras. Como alternativa 1 Oferta especial (orden de arranque principal de arroz y lado poppadoms nann) y 1 entre 2 principal. Recomiendo encarecidamente el sag de gambas. Otros artículos son bastante genéricas y muy tomate.

Imagine La Víspera y nos dijeron que teníamos que salir justo después del plato principal fue terminado y antes de cualquier desierto podría ser ordenados. La discusión subsiguiente con la gerencia incluido acusaciones de ser clientes tercos y este era el negocio más importante del año para el restaurante. Muy decepcionante, Mala Actitud, y desde el principio nos apurando groseramente. Primera experiencia y última experiencia. Cuando el folleto promoción cayó por la puerta hoy nos fuimos directamente a la basura.

Debe haber sido a través de la mayoría de los especiales dos veces cada ahora al otro lado de mis muchas visitas, que son principalmente sentar downs con mi esposa. El servicio es muy bueno y la comida es muy buena también. La oferta mega es siempre demasiado para comer, pero tan buena relación calidad-precio. Para llevar de sobras en una caja es la práctica ahora y siempre disfrutar y recalentado al día siguiente. Volveremos, una y otra vez.

Nice place, good for vegetarians, service quick, food tasty. Value excellent, especially the set meals. Well worth a punt if you passing, although can get busy on weekends.

Come in quite often. Food is always delicious. Brought many freinds here who have also been very impressed. Meal deals are excellent value for money. You must check this place out

I have eaten in the restarant many times and the food is lways excellent. The Green Chicken (yes, really) is my favourite...delicious!

My mouth is watering as I write this review as food at the Palms is delicious. Have been to this restaurant 4 times now in the last 3 months and after the 1st visit Ive always tried something new despite usually going for the same thing for fear of not liking an unknown choice but am confident after past experiences that it's all so nice! Always wise to book on a Friday or Saturday (previously been midweek and just didn't think) so ended up on only available table which, as on this occasion we were with friends so the table 4 of us with all our food was just enough (we'll have to order a bit less but it's very hard!)

Tenía el domingo por la noche especial - poppadums, entrante, pan, arroz y nan por £9.95, que es absolutamente una gran relación calidad-precio! La comida en sí estaba muy bien, no es el mejor que he probado, pero sin duda no es el peor - cebolla bargees eran preciosas (todos los 4 de ellos!). El lugar es muy elegante por dentro, y me gustó la cabinas poco puede sentarse. La única verdadera decepción fue el personal miserable, por desgracia. Mi marido y yo fuimos fuera de nuestra manera de ser alegres y agradecidos cada vez que vinieron a la mesa, pero no podíamos conseguir mucho de una palabra o una sonrisa de cualquiera de ellos, lo que es una vergüenza y un poco estropeado. Regresaría para el especial si esa forma de nuevo, ya que la relación calidad-precio es genial para lo que te dan, ya que las porciones son enormes.

No reservarlo y estaba encantado de que tenían una mesa sólo disponible para nosotros cuando llegamos sin avisar a las 8 de la tarde. Esperamos a menos de 5 minutos de estar sentados a la mesa. Orden tomadas rápidamente y bebidas y aperitivos llegó rápidamente. Plato principal, un poco menos rápido, probablemente esperó media hora o así después de empezar, que no nos disuadió. Comidas muy, muy, muy bonito! No tienen el postre, así que no puedo opinar. Sin duda volveré y lo he recomendado a un montón de gente ya va.

One of our favourites. Will make any dish to taste as hot or spicy as you prefer. Menu is updated at just the right times. King Prawn Puri is gorgeous as is the Aloo Chat. Home delivery or eat in,- always good

It`s a very nice restaurant cosy , clean and calm , the food is superb and generous portions, the staff are wonderful nothing is too much for them

Hemos estado aquí muchas veces pero últimas noches visita fue la peor ... nos tomó más de 1 1/2 para nuestra comida para venir.lo que buscabas para llevar dieron prioridad y clientes en el restaurante estaba justo a la izquierda que esperar. Y un servicio pobre desde el 1 camarero que estaba intentando su mejor

having had quite a few good meals over the past twelve months over the last three weeks be it take away or sit down we have had two very poor take always and tonight was the last straw on a sit down we waited one hour fifty min from starter to main thus we walked out paying only for our starters and drinks there is an old saying you don't beg and pay we won't use this place again

Nice feeling restaurant, Nice seating and table layout etc. The service was good but the curry was quite average.

We just moved into Pentrych and coming from Cardiff were looking for a good indian restaurant nearby. Searched on the web and stumbled across this place. Good clean place with a good decor. Helpful staff and they catered for our taste. Only thing was they we like to have the chicken tikka on a hot plate and the chicken balti in a metal balti dish. Maybe me next time we will make a request. Food was the right taste and spicy. The Nans were fresh. The vegetarian dishes were especially tasty. Try the okra jaipuri and the sag paneer. Will visit again.

Please nobody visit this place. took my family here and it was honestly awful. Not just the food but the service also. They gave us a high chair for my baby girl and it was filthy so i had to clean it with a baby wipe. we were given our plates that were piping hot in our hands rather than being placed on the table. the waiters looked so hard done by and was an effort to serve us. the food was so awful, the worst balti my parents have ever. The chicken was so tough and my butter chicken wasn't creamy at all just very very bland. The papadums were stale and the dips were asif they had come from a packet. the coke was also very flat. it was so awful that we actually found it laughable, the service was appalling.

Nice friendly welcome and the service was excellent. Good range of meals available on the menu.The restaurant is not in a busy town area but in a quiet suburban area and feels out of place. But don't let that put you off as it's worth visiting.Parking is anywhere you can find a space on the road.

Visited here on Sunday 15th March 2015 - even though it was Mothers Day they fitted us in no problem. The food was excellent - very tasty starters, and one of the nicest Naan breads I've had in a long time.They have a Sunday special of £9.95 for starter and main.Highly Recommended

Another excellent meal & experience this evening at The Palm Tree. As ever the food was 1st class! Top quality chicken & lamb - complimented by gorgeous flavoursome sauces! Lovely welcome & excellent service from friendly & attentive staff. All further enhanced by warm contemporary surroundings. Excellent value too - thanks to mid week meal deal! Will be back very soon!

This place was good when it opened but the last 3 times we have visited (giving a fair chance I think!) the curry has been watered down and tasteless! The service is terrible and the staff are full of excuses. What a shame!

The food is always good and reasonably-priced. The staff are always friendly and very welcoming. The special deals tend to offer less quantity, but are still good quality.

Ordered for delivery! After 2hrs of waiting my husband rang to ask where was our meal. It hadnt left. Was told another half an hour! Didnt seem bothered when my husband said leave it! Disappointed :(

I reviewed Palm Tree in April but since then we have eaten here at least twice a month, usually for home delivery which they don't charge extra for. As always, service is always swift (their timings on the phone are always bang on but usually they deliver earlier), the food is always consistent, hot and tasty. My partner cycles through the same few dishes whereas I've tried a few different vegetable dishes now and have always loved everything that I've tried. Last night I opted for the vegetable vindaloo which was so full of flavour, it was gorgeous! The heat was about right but didn't detract from the flavour of the dish. This is now the only Indian in Pontyclun that we use as we have never had a bad meal or bad service, highly recommended!

Simply the best indian restaurant you will ever dine at. Food is consistantly excellent for a very reasonable price with the specials on sun/mon's an absolute bargain. Menu is excellent with a fantastic choice and numerous chefs specials. Top marks from me.

Having read the other reviews, feel that perhaps we went on the wrong night. Not too impressed with the meal overall. I had vegeterian which was fine, but my partners lamb curry was tough (very). Staff must have been having a bad day too as only one of them I would say was friendly and welcoming. Would we go again, not sure. Would have to think hard about it.

Best Indian takeaway in the pontyclun area. Keep an eye out for the meal deals. Good service. Lovely food.

Having become an addicted regular to The Palm Tree (as most people I know are too!) I have to say this has to be one of the finest Indian Restaurants known to man (& I should know as I've been to a few in my time!). The quality of the food & service is always first class! The menu selection covers all the classics plus plenty of more adventurous & contemporary offerings - all presented beautifully. Like the menu - the decor is classy & contemporary. Excellent value too - especially with the fantastic Meal Deals mid week. I can't wait for my next visit!

After spending £88 on takeaway we were very disappointed to find that most of our trays contained a lot of sauce and hardly any meat.It was not a great takeaway!

I have used this restaurant quite a few times recently for take aways and have always been pleased with the food before. We ordered the ten pounds deal on a Tuesday evening and collected it from the restaurant; our order was completely wrong with one item missing and lamb instead of chicken for the main. We telephoned in and we have never experienced such awful customer service in our lives, we were told this meat was definitely chicken and not lamb and that we were wrong, the manager refused to give any discount whatsoever for the fact that we would have to drive all the way back to get it changed and we were also insulted by the manager telling us he cannot ensure such small orders are correct as he has customers who spend more - not the attitude you would expect from a local business. We took the food back and showed the manager the meat was brown and not chicken, he said he has plenty of other customers anyway and would not apologise. We will never be using this establishment again, it's a shame good food can be let down by such appalling service.

We eat in this restaurant on a fairly regular basis and the standard gets better each time. Last night (Friday) the place was full and they were also busy with take-away/delivery service. The staff are exceptional, the owner is "hands-on" and will go out of his way to cater for all by adapting dishes to suit your taste. Choice of menu is excellent. The house wine is good.The Palm Tree is on the edge of the village (where there I is another Indian restaurant) but definitely worth the walk! Sundays and week nights they do a special meal deal which is excellent value.

Ate here recently on a whim after being disappointed with another local Indian. Palm Tree mark on their menu the dishes that contain dairy and all dishes are fried in vegetable oil so special diets are well-catered for. I went for one of the meal deals and as a vegan, had a nice selection to choose from so I decided to have the poppadoms, vegetable samosas to start, saag aloo with boiled rice and I was able to swap the naan bread for a chapatti. My partner eats meat and throughly enjoyed his tandoori mixed grill with plain naan and chips. Neither of us could eat everything that we were served but we put in a good effort. The restaurant was pleasantly decorated and the staff very helpful and friendly with food arriving absolutely piping hot and very tasty. This is now our favourite Indian restaurant to visit that's on our door-step.

This is definitely the place to go. The food is amazing and with their special meal deals which run through the week, it is a great opportunity to eat new and lovely dishes at relatively low cost. The meals are always really fresh and service is always good.

I have been to the palm tree lots of times and can honestly say it is my favourite in the area!Saleh the owner is always very accommodating and polite. The staff are all very friendly and join in with the banter. I tend to go to the palm tree in a group of 10 or more and the food we have each time is amazing quality with fantastic flavours. I have had friends ask for things not on the menu and they are only to happy to make dishes asked for. The deal we love is £13.50 (Sunday to Thursday) for any starter, main, veggie side, rice and naan. A lot of food that fills the table. Anything left over we take home (in our 50p pot) and enjoy the following day. I will be honest and say that I have had a take away that wasn't up to the standard that I am used to from the palm tree but having been a loyal customer I know it was a blip and have not been disappointed since. I have friends that meet us at the palm tree from sully, Caerphilly and Barry and they come back with their families too. If your in the Pontyclun area, I would highly recommend calling in and sampling something off the menu.

I have eaten in the restaurant and used the takeaway service. The food is very good from both. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would find if hard to find fault in anything.

We eat in this restaurant regularly (not just because it is at the bottom of our road:)) and although there can be some variation the food is excellent. It is 'Indian' although I think the owners and staff are from Bangladesh. The menu appears standard but each item tastes better than I've had in other places. As vegetarians we find the selection huge. I love chilli but as I've got older it just doesn't like me, so what is particularly good is that 'mild' means just that but the flavours keep coming. For the quality the prices are really good value. Again I like beer but it doesn't like me anymore so it is the house red which is cheap and OK. Not that any red wine goes well with Indian food! So don't be put off by its unprepossessing position - just out of town and on a mini-roundabout - you will be in for a treat

I have had many lovely takeaway meals from the Palm Tree and always thought the restaurant looked nice and almost always busy but never got round to eating a meal there. Today I went with my family and ordered the set meal for £9.95 pp. Service was swift and friendly and the atmosphere was good. The food was excellent as usual. I was also impressed with how clean the toilets were which are often neglected in others places. Will definitely go again to take advantage of the set meal offer on Sundays.

Best Indian around by far! Popped in to this restaurant early on a friday night recently and had a fab meal.My wife had the mussls to start and salmon curry main ,whilst I had the lamb tikka starter and chicken shashlick bhuna for my main.Service was superb,food was excellent and good value.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We called up to book and they said to just turn up as it wasn't busy. There's not really much parking so on the road side will have to do They were very accommodating with 7 adults, 2 children and a baby. For £9.99 you get a popadoms with chuntys, starter, main, choice of rice, and a naan (for an extra 30p you could make it garlic, chilli, cheese etc) .The starter came out and it was very well presented. And tasted great. The mains came out and was absolutely outstanding. We would defo reccomend to anyone!!!! I had the chicken tikka masala for main and was deliciousTo finish of once they had cleared down we had complementry chocolates and a hot cloth to wipe hands.

There are several places in the area where you can have decent Indian cuisine but this place is one of the best. Four of us enjoyed the 'Megadeal' which is a massive amount of food. It was all excellent with service from the staff to match. The restaurant is a sponsor of the local rugby club so deserves local support

Popadoms, starter, main, rice, side dish, nahn, all cooked brilliantly in a flash, every bite very tasty..... £13 odd on a weeknight??? If only there were more places like this. Bit quiet (amazingly) with not much atmosphere, so grab some mates and bring your own!We'll all be back.

I have been to this restaurant 3 times and I can honestly say its one of tge best indian restaurants in South Wales. Great value for money. You wont be disapointed. Staff are very freindly and service excellent.

I have been to The Palm tree on numerous occasions and I have to say the service, food and atmosphere there is second to none! This time we went as a group of 15 for a birthday and we were not disappointed. The food was tasty and hot and the service was spot on! The staff are always friendly and willing to offer any help where required. They adjust curries to suit the individual and the amount you get for a Sunday, Monday and Tuesday deal is amazing. If you havent been to this Indian restaurant you have to try.
