A1....fabulous. Highly recommended.

The wife and I decided to have an evening out together, and so planned another great meal at Bombay Blue. The food was totally amazing, the services couldn't be faulted and polite. Looking forward to the next visit. Thank you guys for a wonderful experience.

After moving from Cardiff to Church Village, we had a tough job to find a new Indian takeaway that would top our previous favourite, Baba's. We like a proper Indian, beyond a basic korma or tikka. Ordered from Bombay Blue with a local friend who recommended it... And this is now the top of our list! Bombay Blue has some excellent options; I'd never tried a Goan Fish Curry before but it's now one of my favourites! Mildly spicy, flavourful, and a bit different. We also ordered Palak Paneer, not realising it's not actually on the menu.... They made it for us anyway! Their bhajis are to die for, too. Third time ordering from them tonight, and I definitely won't go anywhere else now. Delivery time is a little longer than some others, but very much worth the wait because the food is fresh, hot and delicious.

Been a regular here for a few years as the food is really good .Was preety busy when we sat down at 6.20pm had some popadoms and dips and ordered our meals ...we left at 8pm and the food still hadn't arrived . Heard so many people complaining especially ones picking up takeaways that they had to wait an hour longer then the time . Dissapointed tbh i would rather have been told we're too busy to sit you and gone somewhere else then just sat there waiting for nothing...ah well plenty more restaurants out there to try , possibly cheaper ones too.

Will not be bothering with this place any more since we consistently receive food deliveries late from them

Fantastic service, the food was exceptional. Would certainly be coming back for date night and family event. My mother in law thoroughly enjoyed her Birthday meal. She even got a surprise coffee mug from them. Amazing

Sad to say, gone massively downhill.... and the prices are eye-watering for something so bog-standard. One starter item was unbelievably rancid. I imagine they literally cooked it in the oldest, dirtiest worst-tasting oil EVER. Sent it back, was told he would get us some "newer" ones, and it was replaced. Realised later, they charged us for it anyway. Rest of food was 'OK'/Friday night cheap can't be arsed cooking, let's get a takeaway level .... Also, don't know what's going on with the staff, but it was service with a grimace. We were there to celebrate a teenage family birthday and when the 'birthday girl' of our party was ordering, the bored waiter taking the order was rolling his eyes. I know catering isn't easy, but at least try to fake it? Every time you asked for something (aside from one waiter), there was a discernible grimace. It was awful. In these difficult times, you'd think they'd be falling over themselves to up their game, not the case. You've lost another few customers here.

Bit cold to sit outside today 2°c, but steak baguette was on the money, will eat here again when in the area.

It rarely fails to impress in this place & we visit once monthly or more. Another delicious meal all round, great service, comfortable seating. Poppadums, starters for 2, main meals & sides for 2, soft drinks 2 & floater coffee 2 all for £65. Delicious bargain & best Indian within 10 miles or so i'd say.

Beautiful Indian restaurant, a bit more upmarket than your usual curry house. Very attentive staff, beautiful food and good atmosphere. A little bit pricier than some but worth it. Definitely worth another visit.

I have used Bombay Blue for a long time but will be taking my custom elsewhere from now on. Always state a delivery time when ordering online but every order is either delivered early or late. AVOID!!!

This used to be our go to indian but we hadn’t been for while so decided to go back and give it a try! We were very disappointed! The onion Bahji to start was mushy and a wet consistency, then we had 2 different curries that were mostly sauce and around 8 little slices of chicken! It was so watery that at the end of the meal our plates were swimming in sauce!! We had 2 nahn breads, both which were soggy and very thick and dense, not enjoyable at all! They have definitely put their prices up, not worth it for the money, there are better Indians around!

First visit, food was wonderful, service was excellent

This is one of the worst restaurants I’ve been to. Service was appalling. Staff clearly untrained. We were asked constantly if we wanted to order drinks. They insisted to order drinks before food - v odd. The food was absolutely awful. It was expensive. Poppadom dips were a joke. I can’t believe they ever have repeat business. I can’t advise strongly enough not to go to this place!!

Really poor service here. They offered a 20% discount but did not apply it. Now claiming they don't deal with this promotion. NOT TO BE TRUSTED

Popped in here on the way home from football. Good service and pleasant staff. The food was good but our bill seemed a little steep for what we had, we should of checked the bill a little closer before leaving. Compared to our usual little restaurant the bill was at least £10 more for the same items !

Five of us to talk shop. Pretty fast service, five different curries, rices, dahl, red onion naan. All nicely spiced, good sauces and plenty of meat. Very nice indeed.

It's always an enjoyable time at Bombay Blue. Reasonable prices and good sizes portions and friendly service.

Great for a takeaway always reliable and fair price

Although service was as good as usual the food wasn't. Firstly there were no mushrooms, on a Wednesday? So no mushroom bhaji which helps make the meal overall. The starters of sheek & shami kebabs were too salty. The price of a korma sauce alone was £5.50? We will return but not a good visit this time really.

Table of 5 on a Saturday evening. The resteraunt was surprisingly busy. Food took a long time to come to the table almost 50 mins however was delicious and of a good size and standard. Only criticism would be the small amount of meat in the currys.

Air con made food go cold quickly was my only fault

Took my family to Bombay for my husband's 60th birthday. Have been here before and love the food. Service is really quick and friendly. Atmosphere is quiet and calm. Food is the best around.

Yet another cracker of a meal here last evening. Served by friendly & polite staff with courses at appropriate intervals. Comfortable surroundings. 2 courses with 3 sides & 2 starters plus poppadums & a naan bread & soft drinks x 3 was £62. Still a bargain. Happy to report once more that this is the best local Indian we visit at least once monthly.

Ok curry house but poor service. We book this evert year for our Christmas curry meal. There was about 8 of us. They seated us and took our order. The service was very slow. Other people who came in after us but in fewer numbers got their food before us. Although the restaurant quite busy, it wasn't full by any means. The food was OK but it took forever to come. Its a pity the service was so slow as it spoilt the experience.

Another great meal, great service too. Much better than our last visit when so many items were just not available. 4 x poppadoms, 2 course meal with 3 sides & 3 soft drinks only £59, a bargain these days. Warm & comfortable in there too.

Ordered a family take away as a Christmas treat . Arrived after 2hrs! Chips where hard and cold . Chicken pakora was inedible. Curry was ok but cold and I’ve no idea what I had but it definitely was a naan bread..,it was awful ! Sorry but we won’t be ordering again .

Not great we intended to use meerkat for 2 & 1 deal as advertised on the meerkat website - but we got there and they said they were refusing the offer due to it being Christmas and busy. Naughty really when it’s advertised on the website …. KFC it is . Wouldn’t recommended

4 of us, Tuesday evening, it was quiet & service was good BUT that's where it ended for the most part unfortunately. For starters they had no onions with the poppadoms & the mango chutnet was nothing like i've eaten there previously, had bits in it & was more spicy that it should have been. The main courses, they had no mushrooms for the bhaji, they had no lamb for the mixed tikka dish so replaced it with chicken, which, clearly doesn't taste like lamb & is a cheaper meat. The tapali ghosht had no capiscums but they failed to tell me they had run out of those too. So not a very good visit at all really nor were we offered any sort of dsicount or a free drink or something to compensate for the many missing/replaced items. They told us their delivery day was Wednesday & had run out of various items but that was no excuse when Tesco is a mile away. Very poor show indeed this vist when we are so regular down there the staff knew what we ate.

Easy to book a table online and they where ready for us when we arrived and when i had to leave before i was finished they put my food into takeaway trays and i took it home for the next day 👌🏻 brilliant service there

I like my curries mild and the korma, makhani/butter chicken, and chicken tikka are all the best I've had. Whenever I try somewhere different now they just taste bland and can't compare to Bombay Blue's.

One of the best Indian’s in the area, and staff have always been friendly. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely return!

Absolutely amazing food best Indian we've been too,we went two nights in a row then on the second night we're told that basically they were getting busy an that they needed our table. Very rude to be told to hurry up after spending 14 pound in two nights will not be returning

Take my advice have your phone system divert to your mobile. We were calling all day, in the end you missed out on a party of 14. We booked elsewhere had starters, mains, sides and drinks so by not diverting your phone and being able to answer we had our meal elsewhere, this would have been spent with you.

Rang through for a take away and told it would be ready in 30 mins, waited just under an hour. When returning home the chips and Nan breads were all stone cold. Our chicken madani dish had very little chicken in it and was majority sauce only. Very disappointed about to the required standard unfortunately 😫

We eat here regularly, at least once monthly. However this visit was poor because on a Thursday evening they told us they had run out of lamb? You might expect a shortage of a main ingredient on Saturday perhaps but on a Thursday? The meal we had instead was ok but not what i wanted for sure.

Coming back to this review after months to change it from a 4* to a 1* as its the lowest I'm able to give. While walking into the restaurant the kitchen is downstairs where the back door was open, As my wife walked past the waiter(in a shirt & black tracksuit bottoms) popped his head out the door & made a remark at my wife not knowing she understands his language. My wife was so angry and once we had got inside I brought this to the attention of the chubby guy who I believe is the "boss", he pretended he doesn't understand the language(bangladeshi) the poor sod & he will have a word with the waiter instead he went over to him & started smirking. I was completely in shock there was no sense of apology or empathy towards how his customers should be treated by staff or himself. This restaurant definitely needs to be kept a close eye on due to the lack of respect they have towards females. We also expierenced a woman sat alone drinking herself under the table behind us!! trying to join 2 men having dinner who clearly didn't want to know. She had no food at the table just a wine bottle & glass but this place has a favourite sentence even when your glasses are full "do you want another drink". They must of asked us 9-10 times during our meal. Clearly the chubby guy who is running the restaurant should take responsibility if somebody is drunk already & they've come in alone they can barely stand without disturbing other tables giving them a large bottle of wine isn't going to end well. The entire restaurant was turning to see if she's OK, But I guess the sleezy staff didnt mind this too much & turned a blind eye to it. I really do hope she got home safe.

Absolute disaster, ordered a meal, told it would be an hour and a half, no problem, then waited another half hour, rang again said it was on its way, 2hrs later, still nothing, then received a call stating it’s nearly with you, by then we had gone to get a KFC as needed something to eat, they told me they would reimburse me in 3/5days, but took my money within a minute, absolutely ruined our family night, will never go near this place again

Lovely place for a meal, superb food. Try something new

We ordered a delivery from here on a Sunday. We were told there’ll be a 1h10 waiting. After 1h30 we called again. They said they were leaving right then. We live 5 minutes away. After 15-20 minutes we called to cancel the order. This was the 2nd time this happened. The difference this time is, as I was getting some food out the fridge, they knocked on the door. We took it so the food wouldn’t be wasted. The food was cold and we had to warm it up in the microwave (I don’t like food too hot and this was cold even for me). It wasn’t the worst takeaway but neither was good. We had some chips and tasted like they were cooked the day before. I wouldn’t recommend ordering takeaways from here. I know we won’t do it again.

I really cannot believe some of the low ratings with Bombay. Either the drink was wrong, or expensive or picking at the colouring in the food blah blah! I l do not eat regularly but every time I do the staff, service and food is simply amazing. Yes compare with another house just go back there!? I see my children once every six-eight months since moving back to my home town Cardiff and they all say can we get food from 'that place near you Dad'! They are fussing little people but 'that' place is Bombay Blue. Beautiful sit in surroundings (have not done that yet), super polite staff and committed customer service. Best continental food I have enjoyed and I am 47 years old and seen many!!! Just called in again.. And again, amazing these guys look after you regardless.

Placed an order for delivery for 3 people and including side orders. After waiting and waiting the food did not arrive, got fed up of trying and waiting I drove to collect food from another restaurant. Awful Experience and won't return here.

Decent Indian, lovely food, generally good service although you can find you order before other tables but get food later than them. Nice atmosphere. For those a little cautious over covid the restaurant could do with opening windows or doors regularly but didn't bother us. Recommended

We ordered a takeaway on NYE for delivery at 19.50. The driver didn’t turn up until 21.00 and the delivery was incomplete with 2 curries missing and also, no sauces, no chutney tray. We knew there would be a delay because of NYE but the attitude of the staff was abysmal and were very unwilling to help resolve the issue. Never ever again. Will stick to Safron in Pontypridd from now on.

Ordered a delivery for NYE ‘21 with expected delivery time of 19:50. Appreciate that the delivery would more than likely be late due to the date, but not to arrive until 21:00 with a number of items missing is very poor, especially as the quality of what was delivered was no where near the standard previously experienced. My family regularly purchase from this restaurant but this will be the last. Mainly due to the disgusting customer service from the manager, who, after us requesting a refund and leaving what was delivered ready to return, would only provide for those items not received. Shambolic, would not recommend at all.

Supern Indian, best in the area. Lamb was tender & chicken moist with delicious sauces/curries. Staff were helpful & polite.Couple of down points are that only the one door is left to close & doesn't do so properly so don't sit immediately across from that door is my advice, the draft on opening/closing can be nasty in the winter. My wife said the ladies toilet was not the cleanest/tidiest she'd seen. A little slow service bewteeen starters & mains but it was very busy there. Still worth the wait though. 4 poppadums, 2 starters, 2 mains, rice, chips, naan just over £53, absolute bargain. Will definitely be returning soon.

Have used them a number of times and they want you to book through any app rather than direct, which always costs the client more! As the food is OK, we ordered through just eat and was willing to allow the 1 to 2 hour delivery slot.By the time the food was delivered we were starving and food was missing! Rang them straight back but they said there delivery driver had gone home so couldn't deliver the rest of our order!They said they couldn't refund our order without going through the just eat app again! They said they would give us the missing food if we went down to pick up, which defeated an over an hours wait for our delivery!Won't be using again! Steer clear!

40 minutes late. Food came Luke warm, the men in the restaurant hung up on me three times when I asked them where it was. Curry came doused in curry powder and no flavour. The man was so rude on the phone and didn't help and didnt try to amend the problem just patronised me. Won't be ordering again

Meal delivered 10 minutes early(hence one star) But was barely warm. Tried phoning. Constantly engaged. Distinct taste of bodyspray/aftershave on food. Very disappointing as we have dined in restaurant and had takeaway once before.

I stopped attending this restaurant - it was mediocre for a tasty price.However, I recently attended for a birthday party and was very pleasantly surprised - it appears that our food had been cooked by a second chef - which was very tasty and fantastic. If I could guarantee my food being cooked by the alternate chef I would definitely start going back again.The service was good - they were keen to do a good job.

I just had a take away delivered from this Restaurant that was 45 minutes late, the food was freezing cold and disgusting, starters were greasy cold and inedible, it tasted as if the food had been prepared days ago, I would have had to microwave the food to bring up to temperature which when you have fish starters is a little on the dangerous side. Prawn Puree, greasy cold and literally inedible, crab bites that tasted as if they has been made yesterday and served today, and potato lollipops that were so hard I could have built a wall with them, the onion Bhajis were freezing and the Curry's that were just disgusting. We had to try and warm up the Naan Bread in the oven, and in the end we threw everything in the bin and ended up having a Ham Sandwich for dinner. We have a family treat once a week and choose our takeaway from places where we have previously experienced a nice in house dining experience, so we were all looking forward to what should have been a lovely evening and food, I will never again order a takeaway from this place. The delivery driver spent about 3 minutes trying to open his boot after driving up and down the road for a few minutes, the food was delivered in a cardboard box which had never seen an insulated delivery bag, he also asked if I wanted the free bottle of lemonade that the Restaurant had obviously given him to give to clients, very unprofessional and frankly a joke as a representative of the Restaurant. the only redeeming feature of this awful experience was that the Manager has agreed to authorising a full refund for the inedible food which we have had to arrange through Kukd.

Our evening was to celebrate the wedding anniversary of two couples and thir family. The welcome, service and food was faultless. We commented it was the best indian food such as korma, duck and spicy chicken we have ever tasted. Wonderful surprize of a gift of 2 bowls for both couples. It was a wonderful evening. It was our first time to the bombay blue and won't be our last. The food was fabulous and the service was excellent. I would be telling my friends and family about the place.

take aways are ok but eating in is better simply for the clam & quiet atmosphere & quick meal delivery really fresh. Parking safely on the road or outside the restaurant. Staff are friendly but not over bearing. Clean in there. if there's a down side it's that the gents hand dryer hasn't worked in over 2 years! At least if that's not the case it keeps breaking down?

We were staying just outside Cardiff and was looking for an Indian restaurant for my sons birthday. Finding this was a highlight of our stay. From the outside it doesn’t look all that but from the initial service onwards it was great. The menu is well written so everyone could understand what they were ordering, food was served very promptly with large portions to boot. and was absolutely delicious. The added bonus that what we didn’t eat was packed up spring us to take it home and enjoy again.

Visited here on many occasions, nice to go back after lockdown, fantastic food, great service, staff were friendly and enjoying being back, can't wait to visit again.

We used to visit this restaurant when we had the opportunity before all the lockdown came into effect moreso. It used to be a great restaurant, sadly that has now changed.The restaurant was about half full but several folk waiting for takeaways. This us where it failed. Customers were having takeaway orders dealt with before those in the restaurant who were kept waiting for a considerable amount of time.On one occasion 3 takeaways were issued before we had our main course of which we waited 40 minutes for. When we questioned why we were waiting so long we were told the takeaways were very busy that evening !!Food was mediocre unfortunately, My dish was inedible, very overcooked and impossible to eat. Meat very dry, vegetables burnt, waiter explained it had been kept warm under heat lamp !Customers using the restaurant tend to have to pay more for restaurant service, that's fine, but that is what they have forgotten, they need to pay attention to the customers sitting in the restaurant not ordering a takeaway. This place needs to decide if it wants to be a restaurant or a takeaway.Wouldn't return or recommend

Delicious food and fantastic,attentive service here tonight. We came out for a family meal and I can honestly say that I cant remember when I enjoyed a curry as much as I did tonight. There were some new dishes on the menu and the ones we tried were so good. We will back soon! I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!

3rd time visiting here and never disappointed! So many wonderful dishes you won't find elsewhere, certainly not your typical Indian restaurant! Highly recommend it.

We have eaten here lots of times and we love the wonderful dishes that are on offer. I especially love the piri piri chicken and my partner adores the honey glazed salmon. On this visit we ordered the maharaja lamb, tikka salmon, chapati, chips, spicy katlama naan and steamed rice. The meal was really big, the prices were fantastic, the food tasted great and the staff were friendly. This is one of our favourite restaurants and I would recommend a visit. We will definitely be having another takeaway soon.

This is our first visit and we were impressed with the whole experience. The online ordering service was easy to use and the food was ready for collection really quickly. This restaurant probably has one of the best menus we have ever seen. We were amazed with the outstanding value for money. Our order came to £36 and included a chicken India (Yorkshire pudding filled with curry smoothered in cheese), a BBQ chicken wrap, a paneer tikka, Bombay special biryani, cheese and garlic naan, chips and Bombay fried rice. The food was amazing and flavoursom, the restaurant was immaculate and the member of staff who served us was extremely friendly. We can't wait to return.
