Damn good service and food. Never had a Nepalese Curry. Amazing. Very attentive (but not too much). I was the only one here (early dinner at 430). Great little spot.

Does what it says on the Tin. The staff were really nice. The service was excellent. The food was pretty ok too, but that is for individual pallete I guess, however it is good honest food.

This bistro is 1.5 miles from the East end of Princes St. On the bus route up North & South bridge to Newington (about 10 minutes). This is small, friendly, elegant restaurant. The owner is so kind and welcoming. As local residents we love coming here as the quality of the ingredients and cooking is superb. It’s not your typical Indian menu. Dishes we enjoy are Crispy fried okra, Dirty Samosa chat, Prawn Malabar, Ghee roast chicken and Lal mas. They also serve a Tasting Menu. Vegetarian/Vegans also catered for. A small wine list. Would love to see a Tapss style evening event as their amuse bouche was outstanding.

Fantastic authentic tasting food. Best onion bhaji we have ever had and the lamb in the Karahi curry was so tender! All round great meal & service! BYOB, another bonus & amazing value for money! Will be returning for sure and highly recommend!

Me sorprendió lo ocupado que estaba, ya que no había oído hablar de ello de mis amigos que son locales de Edimburgo. Estábamos encantados con el servicio de comida y toda la experiencia sin duda volverá en mi próximo viaje al norte.

A Culinary Gem in Edinburgh I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cilantro, an exceptional Indian restaurant in Edinburgh, and it was so good that I found myself returning for dinner the very next day! On both visits, the food was consistently fantastic, full of rich, authentic flavors and perfectly prepared dishes that left a lasting impression. Despite exploring other options, nothing seemed to compare to the experience Cilantro offers. From the warm and welcoming atmosphere to the impeccable service, everything about this place speaks to quality and care. If you’re in Edinburgh and looking for an unforgettable Indian dining experience, Cilantro is an absolute must-try. I’ll certainly be back!

first time eating in for a while and we won't be back. had the most dreadful service from a waiter who seemed to be in his own world. despite being the only people eating in for a while the service was some of the most dreadful I've ever experienced. from not clearing plates, to messing up the order (despite repeating it back) to not topping up water to no apology for a piece of dish sponge in a mango lassi to making the customer self transfer their food to takeaway dishes, extraordinarily bad. a real shame as the food is good. the this person should be be serving anyone. ever.

The food is ok, but it's way too expensive for one meat dish when it's called a meat thali, plus it's ckn breast. This is 17.5pounds, whereas a meal at the nearby Indian places works out to less than 15 if you're sharing a couple meats between 3-4 people The laddu is quite interesting, V dense and it really approximates the texture of a sweet rather than a fruit. The price comes from labour costs, because apparently she cooks each portion of curry for each thali individually. Also when you choose your spicy level it's just how much chili powder she mixes in. The chili is spicy tho
