The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

Dined here on a Saturday evening, food was very good however service was not so good. Did not have a check back on food and when given the dessert menu no one came back to our table for 50 minutes. Yes Saturday evenings are busy however it's not excusable to be forgotten about.

Really warm and welcoming restaurant, I have used Mardi Spice for over 16 years and can honestly say, their food is fantastic, cooked to your liking. Highly recommend them.

Phenomenal. Best Indian we’ve had and my only regret is we are only visiting the area and won’t be able to make this our regular! We had Ali’s special, lamb, garlic rice, onion bhaji and peshwari naan. The Ali’s special had the perfect level of spice/heat, the lamb dish was incredibly tender, rice was *chefs kiss*, bhajis were nice and crispy and the naan was fabulous. If we’re ever in the area again you can bet we’ll be back. The staff were lovely, very friendly, prompt service. I can’t sing their praises enough. All in all, a great experience

Although we had booked a table earlier in the day circumstances forced us to order a take away instead. What superb meals we had. I had Chom Chom for the first time and loved it. Well done.

The food was delicious, veg was ok, non-veg was tasty and the service was top-notch - friendly and attentive staff. The atmosphere was just okay, but overall a good dining experience!

Excellent food and service. Limited cask ales. Good pint of regular Guiness NOT the extra cold.

Enjoyed the friendly service and real great meal. We returned a few weeks ago and sadly the problems started with the booking and we asked about Gluten Free options, in the email it wasn't a problem but when we arrived everything on the menu could have gluten including, rice, cornflour products and literally everything. We asked for tap water that never came Food was like last time good, sadly, one of us couldn't eat anything, but the service was very poor. As good as the food is it will only be a delivery option from now on.

What an absolute gem of a restaurant. The staff are friendly and efficient. Food was really tasty and good size portions. The service was spot on. We will definitely be back again soon. Thankyou 😀

Decent food, decent prices, service could be better. Went there for dinner. Ordered lamb thali, pani puri and chicken thukpa. They sent a nice complimentary starter of spiced potatoes. Pani puri: Puris were nice and crunchy, the sauce was nice, but I've had better fillings. Thupka: They sent vegetarian by mistake, and didn't figure it out till I went and asked. The dish felt quite tasteless too. Thali: The lamb was nice and the other dishes were fine too, but I would have expected a bit more quantity. Overall, I came out with mixed feelings. But I could give them another chance.

Lovely meal, all good and to a very high standard, service was also superb. Couldn't fault a thing.

Another great visit with friends. Lovely atmosphere, really tasty food and service was excellent. We were given a complimentary dish and a baileys which was a lovely touch. All round great value
