Tiffins in Cherwell

I've edited my initial review after a bad experience... some background, this place was our favourite Indian takeaway, but a bad experience meant pretty much everything we ordered was not enjoyable from the substitute chef in the absence of the main chef. I was surprised that my partner received a call from Tiffins the next day, offering to put the issue right. You can also see the response provided below... My review was harsh, especially factoring all the previous, very positive experiences, but I was just so disappointed... I am very surprised and impressed with the customer service and how Tiffins value their customers, and them offering by to put this issue right. Anyway, this evening we reordered our usual. Even the delivery man was really pleasant and polite. Oh my God, thank you, thank you, thank you. Back to brilliant food all round. When Tiffins cook food like this, there is nowhere that comes close. We are both very happy and relieved. Thank you Tiffins for the excellent service, thank you for listening to us and for taking it onboard. Now, please clone your main chef and wrap him/her up in cotton wool to protect them! We look forward to reordering our usual from you again very soon.

Tasty curry but shocking delivery service Took 2 hours for food to turn up and when chased after waiting 1hr 15 was told food would be another 20 mins took another 35 and when it arrived delivery driver didn't apologise for the delay and tried to ring restaurant 5 times to chase where food was and no one answered.

Beautiful food every time, definitely one of the best Indian takeaways in Telford! I recommend their Mango & Chilli fish (starter), Pathia and Murgh Amdani. (Picture below is Pathia and mushroom rice)

Best Indian meal of my life, truly exceptional

Highly recommend this restaurant. Food is always hot, & delicious& is excellent value for money.

The best Indian takeaway in Telford

This is our go-to Indian. Chicken Tika Masla is our go-to, and we can't fault it. Sides of Naan bread, samosa, poppadoms, and onion bhaji are always top notch. Chips are decent, too. Other currys we've had are Korma, Buna, and an almond one, which have all been great. Me and the wife normally have one to share as one each is too much. Delivery is normally about 1hr to 1hr 15min due to how busy they are, so we always order in advance. You can either pay with cash or a card when ordering from home, and the delivery driver is always friendly. Would definitely recommend it.

Worst curry I've ever tasted,pasty sauce and creamy, nothing like a chicken balti, flavour very bland waited over hour and a half for delivery rice was hard and the naan bread dry and cold very disappointed Do not recommend at all

Our favorite curry house never used anyone else. Ordered our usual order and left a comment it was our anniversary dinner these guys gave us some lovely free desserts with a little note saying happy anniversary made our night. Top class service as always Thankyou Tiffins

First time ordering tonight. A bit of a wait but definitely worth it, absolutely beautiful. Will be ordering again!

Spot on as always. Ordered for collection. Spot on, plenty of food to last us 2 meals each. This is our go to takeaway and it never lets us down. There is plenty of negative comments recently about the service of the food, just remember that there are many factors that aren’t in the restaurants control. I always like to collect as I get a chance to speak to the lads, who are all very friendly. The Mrs had her Korma as usual and I had a Chicken Akbari for the first time, both were very tasty, and big portions. Having looked through these other reviews, there is an obvious difference between those who understand BIR and those who don’t. Massively recommend the mixed kebab as a starter/ side dish. The meat is very well cooked and unbelievably tasty. Cheers boys

Food 2 hours late. No apology or refund.

Shocking service order online an hour to accept the order no answer on phone phoned through Facebook to be told can not help traffic not the first time food has took over two hours to arrive supposed to be an award winning Indian not with that sort of service will be going else where from now on. The food eventually arrived just before 20:00 even after being told food would be 50 minutes and tasting full of salt normally food is ok.

If I could give 0 stars, I would’ve. Had ordered chicken akbari and king prawns starters. The chicken akbari had lots of food colouring in it, tasted very sweet, nothing like the description. I think instead of salt, they decided to use sugar. The description mentioned nuttiness- there was none. The prawn starter had too much salt in it! . I was in two minds about placing the order and cooking at home. I should’ve gone for latter, atleast would have saved some money and not slept on cereals.

Had a takeaway for 4 people....food not very good ...wont be ordering again !

Five stars are just not enough! We love love love Tiffins, the food is alway delicious and plentiful, the team are super friendly and I genuinely always feel welcomed and remembered. This is a well deserved award winning establishment.

Great staff great food at a reasonable price

Highly recommended!! 😊😊 My family and I had a take away from Tiffins. We had a selection of mains, rice and nan bread. The food was delivered in good time, all meals were hot and very delicious. We would be more than happy to order again. There is a great selection on the menu, more so than other Indian Restaurants I’ve been too. Cannot comment about atmosphere as it was a delivered order.

Had a beautiful meal from here last night for my mums birthday. Wrapped in foil to keep warm during delivery, the food was hot and fresh. Everything tasted beautiful. Very well done Tiffins. An excellent example of fine takeaway food

Absolutely beautiful food. Ordered last night after moving away for 2 years. I remember it being good before but not as good as it is now. Although delivery was quite long it was definitely worth the wait. I can highly recommend this as one of the best Indian takeaways in Telford.

Staff handi , compliments to the chef an amazing curry 11 out of 10 well done we order from here regularly and will continue to do so.

First time ordering. Was told delivery would be an hour. Came just after an hour. Perfectly priced, Extremely tasty, Good portion sizes, great quality and lovely delivery guy.

We always order from Tiffins and the food is great. However the King prawn Tandoori was not up to scratch the dish was full of onion and hardly any prawns. However I rang the restaurant and they were more than happy to replace the dish and we’re very apologetic. Vegetable biryani was delicious as was the saga Alou

Half portions (containers half filled, three dishes emptied out only just filled a small side plate). Overpriced. The absolute worst Indian food I’ve had from just eat. AVOID!

Fantastic food and service ! Never disappoints

Food is always top quality, delicious and delivery is always with no fuss and on time!

The order came really promptly which was much appreciated. I ordered a paratha but it wasn’t like how parathas normally are it was more like a giant heavy doughnut it wasn’t really to my tastes. The curries were ok they were quite greasy though and the side curry was a really small portion.

I ordered a takeaway for collection. I specified when ordering that I'm vegan. I was fully understood, which isn't always the case. The food was excellent and the portions very generous. The vegetable vindaloo was not weak! Complimentary sauces and poppadoms were included and the price was very very reasonable. I can't remember a better takeaway and I eat a lot of Indian food. 5 stars +!

Amazing every single time, lovely staff and best Indian restaurant in my opinion.

Had made a mistake with my order so phoned the restaurant and they changed my order, no problem at all !

Food was ordered for a particular time and arrived exactly then. However, I think it might have been ready some time before that as it wasn't particularly hot. Most of the food was lovely, as ever. However, yesterday's sag panir was five dry, cold cubes of panir on top of some cold, dry spinach. It is normally delicious so I'm not sure what went wrong with it yesterday.

arrived a bit late and had 2 x veg passanda in the set meal instead of 1 x passanda and 1 x rogan josh, and the mango chutney was missing, but the food was hot and tasty.

Searching for places to order a takeaway in the local area and this place popped up. I don’t normally leave reviews but I feel compelled as the food was absolutely exquisite. Loved the biryani, full of flavour complimented well with the taka dhall. If u fancy an Indian well worth a try, you won't be disappointed

Always a pleasure, consistently flavoursome, family loves it. Jalfrezi is full of flavour and never fails to disappoint. Peshwari nan to compliment 👍. Fab service too

The sag panner was not as it should be. There was barely any panner and it wasn’t in the cream sauce. Very disappointed

Have been going to this Indian for a while now, I’ve been to pretty much every other Indian in Telford and would not go back to any of them as tiffins is hands down the best of the lot. Great food and great service from the lads who run it. 100% recommended

A good set of curries, tasty, they were all enjoyed. Pity not to get a couple of free popodums on a £60 order, I’d forgotten to order some. Small thing though the food was very welcome

I order often and normally everything is perfect but this time my keema rice had a ridiculous amount of salt in it to the point where I couldn’t eat it at all and spoiled the rest of the meal for me, real shame considering this is my favourite Indian restaurant

Probably the worst Indian Takeaway I've eaten. Flavourless. Arrived cold. Overall not very nice and left me feeling unwell.

I set the delivery time but it still came asap. Also I ordered paratha. What came was more like a poori and not paratha. They need to update their menu to reflect this as I ended up with 2 super oily deep fried bread for my children rather than a paratha which is a pan fried flat bread. The other curries and briyani is good.

We ordered for nine people. Food was delicious, we really like this place! However a couple of mains we ordered were missing and a couple of side dishes were wrong. Nevertheless it was all very tasty and there was more than enough for nine people anyway.

Beautiful food can’t fault it at all

Excellent food and excellent service. So well cooked - lovely tasty sauces (and very little oil). This place always comes up trumps every time, we will be ordering again and again. We had a mix of meat and vegetarian dishes.

I nrefuse to order from any other Indian takeaway. Tiffins are the benchmark, and have always been so.

The order arrived with one naan missing (we ordered 2 and received 1). But otherwise, it was great. It arrived really quickly and was very tasty.

Tasted ok but chicken was very chewy and gristly and the saag paneer was dried out spinach with three lumps of dry cheese.

Really good quality Indian. Not the cheapest, but I don’t mind that when the quality is that good. Delivery was swift and the food arrived hot.

Wonderful tradition family business, food was cracking service was good however they were busy. The banquet night remains extremely popular post lockdown and is flexible to a reasonable degree, contactless payments accepted.

Madras sauce was thin and I ordered 2 Naan breads but only received one.

Food excellent as usual but delivered far too early. We deliberately chose the delivery time as we knew we would not be home until slightly before that time. Fortunately, my son was in to take delivery but I like to give the driver a tip and my son did not have money to do that.

Amazing food amazing service as always

Staying with my elderly, disabled mother, we decided to order a take away from Tiffins Tandoori. We were so impressed with all aspects of the service provided.....the initial telephone call placing the order was received in a friendly, helpful manner, it was delivered on time by a very friendly person, and the food was delicious plentiful, perfect temperature (hot), and freshly cooked. Thank you for a wonderful meal. We recommend this restaurant heartily.

Overall not too bad, I ordered Chicken chat & Tandoori mixed grill. The lamb pieces from the Tandoori where very tough, which detracted from the overall meal.

Food was not fresh onion bhaji were stale and reheated, curry not freshly cooked. Very poor food, won’t order again!!!!

I ordered a side of sag panir and it arrived with no panir. Quite an impressive mistake! I called the restaurant and they did send out a replacement - which contained four cubes of cheese. Bit disappointed and also surprised that they didn't chuck in a freebie for the inconvenience; the rest of the food was obviously cold by the time the replacement dish showed up.

Perfect food from a perfect restaurant

One of the best curries I've ever had tried lots of different places all over the West Midlands you will struggle to beat these guys on flavour and customer service! EDIT: First bad takeaway from here tonight, unfortunately stale poppadoms. Tough meat not the usual standard at all!

Great time to delivery. Food was pretty good, although the naan bread was not properly cooked/still dough - hence the lower food quality review.

Food was nice but I am annoyed at a £2.00 delivery charge which wouldn’t have been charged if had ordered direct with the restaurant. I will not use this app for this restaurant again.

Ordered from this restaurant few times before no problems. However, this time I had popadoms missing from my order and a portion of onion Bhaji’s. Very disappointing.

My fries were rock solid u could not even bit them, my bread was soggy and disgusting and the chicken with sos was alright
