Very quick service the staff were polite to me the prices are good and I love their chicken tikka its amazing

Had my first order from purple mango today, it was one of the tastiest experiences I had in this area. Fresh, hot, humane prices, neatly packaged. My new go-to when it comes to Indian food for sure. Thank you guys.

Service was fast and excellent, the place was very clean.

Family meal , cockroach on table , we were all out of our seats looking for it , waiter came to see what fuss was about but didn’t seem concerned. Nobody wanted to finish meal after this so we got ready to leave , was still charged full price . Won’t be going back .

Cockroach on the table and the manager didn’t care at all, all stopped eating and was charged the full amount.

Really nice place, friendly staff (too much?) and really good food. Most of the food was great but my starter was only luke warm. The visit was only spoilt by a loud bunch of "lads" swearing away, but we will definitely be back soon.

Purple mango didn't get our online order so ended up waiting over 2 hours for food after chasing it up. Then missing a Nann bread. Food was cold. When forgotten Nann bread was eventually delivered we had finished our meal by this time. Would of thought they would have least sent a complimentary bottle of wine or something but nothing. Very bad service.

Food was excellent......very attentive staff who go above and beyond to make your experience at purple mango the best. Highly recommend..

Service was very good. Very keen to please. If anything a bit too enthusiastic. Food was good apart from our main course the chicken tasted very rubbery and not very pleasant. The price is good though.

Pets food is better then this restaurant food I ordered 2 vegetarian food but they give me a without fried food only crused tamato i requested to people never try this food better they don’t know what is garlic nan if you order garlic nan and they give plan nan and charge you. Gralic & butter nan if you go subway or mcdoland is more better than this thankyou

After several years of awful food, the new management have really turned the place around and now it's amazing again. The staff are fantastic and so welcoming.

We were staying at a caravan site for the weekend so I called the week before to ask if they would deliver, yes they would so we placed an order for delivery 18:00 on the Friday, I called at 17:00 to say we were ready anytime and was told the chef was going to start cooking at once, I ended up calling 4-5 times and the food eventually turned up at 18:30 , Luke warm and very uninspiring, sent a private message before leaving this review and heard nothing back,, Would not recommend and would say to avoid, sorry but that was our experience,,,

Motown quality entertainer. This was a five course meal option with entertainment. Since this new family have taken over the quality of food has improved. Really great onion bhaji and loved chilli red sauce to complement meal. Staff very attentive Will be back for sure.

The Purple Mango had new management around May 2024 and since then it has improved 100%. I visited on 4th August 2024 to "give it another chance" and was so impressed I will definitely be going back again. The food was delicious and the staff were absolutely amazing and friendly.

We tried to order a takeaway for delivery but they didn't seem to understand their own menu!! They couldn't understand our contact number so we gave up. Resorted to ordering via website, but none of the options we wanted from the menu were not recognised!! Now they are constantly calling us! Funny that!! I'm absolutely not going to trust them with any payment card details!!

The family had a lovely Sunday buffet. Food and service were very good. Would definitely recommend.

There banquet nights are good value for money you have a four course meal which can not fault some of My Family members have allergies so they are very helpful with what they can eat

Visited again tonight. Everything was perfect. Delicious food ( really flavoursome Rogan Josh and madras) Attentive staff who seem genuinely pleased to see you. We always try to visit when we’re in Banbury and heartily recommend anyone to try it too.

Excellent food as usual - my favourite is the Green Delight with lamb. A change in management / ownership has had a positive effect on the atmosphere - we were made very welcome, and it was nice to be in a busy restaurant. We will be back soon!!

Great service value for money and spotlessly clean amazing

I have never eaten a curry that is so bland. I'm not even sure how you would cook a curry with no flavour. Very disappointed.

We attend a soul night and a food banquet it was great we all loved it . The staff are really friendly and very helpful made you feel so welcome. The food was great tasty and plenty of it so nice and lots of choices. The entertainment singer was amazing and so good hope he comes back all in all great food lovely staff and great entertainment and we all had a boogie to thanks to the purple mango for a great night

New Owners, The food is outstanding...The best in Banbury by far. I like a hot and tasty curry ( Chick Tikka Narga) and this was without doubt the best one I have had so far. They have only had this for the last two weeks and prior to this they ran Indian Banbury which was also outstanding

Terrible food and drinks (no mango pulp for mango lassi and flat beers). Red food colouring used excessively in the tikka and curries instead of actual seasoning. The poppadoms were the best part of the meal. Our waiter (who may have been the manager) didn’t seem very interested or friendly.

Food was not good at all. Very very tasteless and bland. Completely baffled by the good reviews tbh but service was great and they are really nice people. We have much better in London so might just be the area.

Heard lots of good things about this place so finally went to try it and was definitely not disappointed. Staff were so friendly and helpful made you feel so looked after and welcome. The food was outstanding can not rate it high enough. Clean and welcoming and fantastic value for money can not wait to visit again.

I’ve been out of the country for a year and missed a good Indian. Me & my mum spare of the moment decided to try the Tuesday Banquet. It did not disappoint, my only criticism is that I wish there was tons of leftovers that I could have feasted on for days! My mum thought the Korma had a funny taste and I agree it wasn’t the best. But my lamb Balti….WOW Service is excellent, can’t fault the experience.

King prawn puree start was amazing. Mango delight and keema rice was packed full of flavour. Staff always bring a smile to your face and make you feel really welcome. So glad this is my local.

Food is nice here. The Sunday buffet is good, and gives you the chance to try items you might not normally order. The meals are a little inconsistent in that a curry which was spicy the previous visit might not be the next time you go. I guess that's a good indication they are made fresh but it's hard to know what to order. Service is always friendly. We usually go when it's not busy so the atmosphere is quiet, but that is our choice to visit on quieter times.

Ten of us went to Purple Mango Banbury for a family birthday dinner. We were very well looked after, food and service was great. All food came out together, piping hot, had a great time. Access was excellent for wheelchair user. We'll be back, thanks

17th Feb. Waiting for takeaway delivery, chased up after 1.5 hrs, told it was on its way. Chased up again at 2 hrs. Said system down, altho I had confirmation it was in kitchen at 18.28pm. Very disappointing. Won't be using them again. Refund given.

Me and my husband have been going to purple mango for over 12 years, we have always enjoyed the food and service , especially now 007 the main man looks after us very well , very pleasant guy , looks after all the customers coming in , most of all the food is amazing

Executing first class, professional service whilst being casual and great fun to talk to. The food was absolutely spot on - completely delicious in fact, whilst fairly priced and well presented. The overall service was what made my first visit here quite special, and warranted this review. I asked for straws for my younger siblings which they didn't have, which is not even a problem anyway... but a staff member actually went to the shop to buy straws for us without any prompting. Very kind, and thoughtful. Great food and lovely service from people who clearly care about what they do. It's an absolute must visit if you're in the area. Thank you again Purple Mango 🙏👊

Overbearing passive aggressive atmosphere, I've never felt more bullied into making a choice. Less than average food, missing drink from order, incorrect and tricky to understand the hand written bill which was still way more than expected even after the random main dish was removed. Also had the cheek to tell us that service was not included.

Stopped off in Banbury on way home from Gatwick airport. Found Purple Mango on trip advisor. Service was great food delicious. Would recommend anyone to try this Indian restaurant.

Food was so tasty and the service was excellent. Staff were very attentive and food arrived quickly. Catered for special dietary requirements as I don't eat diary or eggs. I had the chickpea and potato balti and asked if they could add some more chilli as I like my curries spicy. It was just the right amount of heat for me. Would recommend!!
