Das Ambiente ist verbesserungswürdig, vor allem die Stühle beim Eingang sehen leider schlecht aus, aber lassen Sie sich nicht davon abhalten, hier zu essen. Don't be fooled by the pictures, they are nine years old, pre-covid and bear no resemblance to how this "dining room" looks now. We last went here ten years ago and it was wonderful but it's now under new ownership. First impressions really count and when you enter you are greeted by a steep staircase with a sticky handrail and a red stair carpet that was so black and filthy you could barely see the pattern. The dining room was no better, the same red carpet was worn out and black and filthy. Where we sat it was ripped and fraying everywhere. The black vinyl chairs were all completly worn out, every single one on our table for 12 was sagging and not just ripped was disintegrating. Two of us left with black marks on our clothes. The room was devoid of any decorations whatsoever and lacked any atmosphere. They didn't sell Kingfisher even though it was on the drinks menu. The curry arrived but there was a very long wait for the rice so the curry was going cold. Usually a curry is placed in little portable hotplates but not here. The coconut rice arrived and it was simply a plate of cooked rice mixed with so much dessicated coconut that it was falling off the plate. The Madras curry, despite being very spicy,had a strange soapy taste to it and was not nice and the rice was far too sweet. When we paid they overcharged each of us a pound, not a lot I know, but I suspect they did this to everyone! Sorry but we won't be going back any time soon.

I have alwaysed used Vicroy for takeaway, but thought I would try Bombay. The butter chicken had no taste and the chicken was tough. The Tikka was bland and chicken even more tough than the butter chicken. Onion Baj was nice as was the nann. Rice was hard and cold. £59 for tasteless tough meat. Won't be using aagain.Pay a little extra and get a great takeaway from the Vicetoy instead. Disappointing for my daughters 16th b day treat.

Good place to go where they'll cater to all sorts of tastes; with more common British curries, authentic Indian food and even Chinese-Indian mixed dishes. Prices are fair for the quality and amount you'll get for your order, only thing I wish is for there to be more explanations as to what some of the dishes were, for someone who would be unfamiliar with what's on the menu.

This is not right over an hour after estimate delivery waiting for my order. It never arrived. I was told a lot of good things about this place and was looking forward to having the food, but now I'm out of pocket with no food. I've tried ringing several times and no ancer. Does anyone work there. I'm very disabled in this. I'm never going to order again.

Ate at this restaurant on a Friday evening. Food was fantastic. I have eaten at many Indian restaurants but seldom have they been as good as this one. Very generous portions to. Also like to add the front of house lady who took our order was exceptional. Very helpful, had a wide knowledge on the dishes and made us feel very welcome. Definitely recommend and will go back again as soon as we are in the area

Top notch dining, service and wine. I particularly enjoyed the north Indian chill and garlic, plus the Biriyani. Yes, we had to wait but that indicates it was freshly cooked. I worked in Brick Lane this was so much better.

We ordered here after bad experiences elsewhere. Well the delivery was early, the food was still piping hot and it was really really tasty. Not oily and clearly freshly made. Will definitely order again

The food was fantastic and we couldn't fault it. The naan bread is fresh and tasty. The decor though is not good at all and can do with tidying up to give it more appeal.

Definitely a hidden gem. What the restaurant may lack in kerb appeal because it's upstairs, it certaily makes up for in abundance with the quality of the food and delightful service. We were only visiting Sherborne for the weeked and due to the lack of choice locally, decided to look slightly further afield. This was a random choice of retaurant, but what a good and lucky choice it was. I understand it's under new management and I wish them every success. It would be well deserved. A very enjoyable meal.

I called to complain and rectify the matter, unfortunately after explaining, my call was handed to the chef, who tried to tell me the chicken is not cooked in “batter” it is in a coating, I proceeded to ask what does the coating consist of, to which he said water and flour. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I proceeded to explain in England that is what you call the coating. Regardless I was told they would not solve the issue, the manager is away in Bangladesh for 3 weeks and to call back with the problem then. When I requested a refund or just to re do the chicken correctly he refused and told me to leave my review and put the phone down. So here we are…. Do not use this Indian the quality under “new management” is horrific! Shame as it used to be my favourite.

We had a really nice meal here. Service was fast and food was hot and flavourful. The restaurant was clean and pleasant. I understand it is recently under new management.

Wow my brother who love his Indian food said to come here . OMFG it was lovely. Order of a lamb curry . Was so much meat and the flavour my good was beautiful. Being a London lad and coming here I won't be worried to anyone eating at this place . Il defo will be back. .

Pre-ordered for 5pm. Delivery (not free!) Finally arrived 6.18pm. Rang up no apology. Shame food good & plentiful. Due to the lack of service will not re-order.

Paid for collection then got an email that the takeaway was rejected do will issue a refund in 3-5 business days, downloaded the app, no help there cause I couldn't even order, called multiple times to order and no answer, are your business hours even consistent? Are they even still in business? DO BETTER

We had a lovely evening and meal. Very welcoming staff with new owners. When we mentioned vegetable pakora was our favourite the chef made it specially for us even though not on the menu. Reasonably priced and good home cooked Indian food.

I am from out of the area and took a punt on this place for a delivery. I won't talk about the delivery as that is another story. A bad one. Just Eat. The food however was absolutely amazing. I chose a chefs special and it was sublime. The lamb off the bone was to die for and with the accompanying sauce, onion and peppers was one of the best I've had. I've had a lot. Generous portions too.

Friends took us here for dinner and it was delicious. Good portion sizes too. We all left full and satisfied. We'll definitely be coming back and probably the odd takeaway too.

Ordered for veg fried rice and got rice tasting like pulav.. the taste of the food was below average..

We won't be going back. £3.60 for the pickles to go with poppadoms whether you ate them or not. Staff didn't know what dishes they were bringing out and were more confused than we were about what they were serving. When we told them that we weren't happy with the meal as we couldn't eat the one dish they smiled and said "good". Asked to speak to whoever was in charge and the chef came out in dirty clothes. We paid and left and won't go again.

Had coconut rice and chicken tikka masala it was stunning. Make sure you read the reviews like I did because the outside could do with an upgrade but they do have a 5 star food hygiene rating don't try the rest try the best!!!!!

Great place, clearly marked vegan mains that tasted good. Could of been better if marked vegan starters but they seemed happy to check when asked.

Went to Bombay dinning last night really warm welcome by all the staff. The menu is very reasonably priced and vary tasty. Well done all. We had poppadoms and pickles the lime pickle really good and all the dips are outstanding. Mains a really good range to choose from on the table we had korma and jalfrezi with a mix of rice really tasty. Also there was no rush we could have stayed there all night. Well done to all in Bombay dinning keep it up

Beware ordering a takeaway from this restaurant. I ordered via their published website, paid on-line and waited for delivery. As no delivery 90mins after ordering I called the restaurant. I gave my order reference and was told that they have not received my order. I explained that I had ordered through their website. They responded that they stopped using their website for orders 2 years ago and I should order via just-eat. I explained that my order had been processed and my credit card charge. They tried to fob me off my asking me to call the company that took my order. I was adamant that this was their issue, they refused to sort out and told me they could not return my money and they would not be delivering anything against my order. I told them this was unacceptable and they had effectively stolen my money. I told them I would go elsewhere but I would be following this up formally to get a refund. I managed to create an order with a more reputable business that delivered promptly. About 30 mins later I was amazed that 2 people from. Bombay Dining arrived on my doorstep with a bag of food. I refused delivery due to reasons above, they left the food on my doorstep where it stayed for 2 hours after which I deposited in the refuge. What a shambles of a business and what an appalling way to treat customers. I will never order again from this establishment.

Seriously delicious food! Probably one of the best Indian foods I have eaten. I had tikka masala, I would highly recommend. The flavours were incredible, the Pishwari nann - hands down the Best nann I have ever had!! & Onion baji. I was given extra Complementary bajis that were incredible. Beautiful food. I truly Can't wait to eat here again. Thank you for an amazing dinner.

Just been a lovely meal at bombay dining, food was really tasty and temperature hot, service was really friendly, would definitely visit again, when funds allow

Don't let the entrance to Bombay Dining mislead you. Climbing the somewhat underwhelming stairs leads to a tastefully decorated dining room with plenty of seats and tables, a well stocked bar, courteous staff ready to serve and a menu to excite and enthrall. As well as the standard "British" Indian dishes, there are some true cultural gems. I chose one of these as my main course and was instantly transported to rural India by a rich combination of flavours and textures. The menu offers many Indo-Chinese fusion dishes too. I found the meal I had here a unique experience in many ways and will most certainly be coming back to sample some more new delights. If you found this review interesting, I heartily recommend that you give Bombay Dining a try.

Having a couple of days break in Yeovil and tried here. Lovely and clean, friendly and did not rush us which was great. The food was brilliant, fresh and tasty. Honestly the only fault was the restaurant was hot. If we come back this way we would definitely go back.

Overly priced items. Ordered for chilli chicken, never tasted like chilli chicken, 2 pieces of paneer tikka was priced at £6. Food was average.

The restaurant ambiance was ok, no other customer turned up. The food was very average and very over priced. You even get charged for the pickle £4, why a rip off. The starter Tandoori Paneer was £5.95 for 2 pieces of Paneer. The Chilli Chicken was not authentic Chilli Chicken. The mains was poor except for the Dal which actually was very good. The coke was flat, a pink £3.95 but you can get a coke can for £1.95.

It's a best Restaurant in Yeovil to have a go for INDIAN food I have tried many Indian restaurants but this place is best for GREAT TASTE AND PROPERLY COOKED IN INDIAN STYLE 😋👌 I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT & good 👍staff as well

Ordered on Uber, Took an hour longer than they said, food cold, contact number links to a mobile not in the restaurant. Photo shows what should be 6 poppadoms with a dip ?? Someone hungry on route????? Never again!!!! Only ordered here as the amazing magic spice is closed on a Tuesday.

Visited Bombay Dining during a work trip Down in Yeovil. Went after numerous recommendations from my colleague. Lovely food and service and would definitely return. Brilliant pints of cobra! The chicken shashlik was cooked to perfection and they made me a mild madras sauce to accompany it. I would suggest an improvement to serve the shashlik on a griddle pan as it adds to the wow factor but overall great meal.

Visited today, asked for the starter to come with main meal ! No it came out first and then main ?? Why ? Ordered butter chicken, never seen a pink sloppy sauce in butter chicken, tasteless , the only ingredients coconut milk or cream not sure which, decicated coconut , maybe a touch of tomatoe puree ( was this why it was pink ) !! and chicken. I left most of it and told the waiter it was not a butter chicken , he was not interested, hardly the attitude to have and will never be returning

We dined at Bombay Dining for my Daughters 40th Birthday, and all I can say is the food was the very best and tastiest I have ever eaten. Everyone there all 9 of us really enjoyed ourselves. The staff were exceptional , very polite and the service was excellent. We all would certainly dine there again.

The restaurant itself is very plain, no flocked wall paper here, just nicely spaced tables with plenty of room to place all the delicious food. Service was quick and attentive but it was a Tuesday night and early. The pickles are a triumph! The Lime pickle, normally very much a 'bite the back of your throat' pickle is home made and has a more nuanced taste. The mint accompaniment, while Emerald Green, has a beautifully balanced selection of spices, all very fresh and it zings in your mouth.We selected the set menu and were not disappointed. The same care that had gone into the pickles was very ably demonstrated in the starters of Tandoori chicken & lamb tikka , Mains were chicken makhani (gorgeous) & lamb dupiaza, along with bombay aloo, pilau rice, egg rice, peshwari naan.Quantities were excellent and we ate really well and were very happy to have come across it.Only thing that may be a problem - it is up a set of stairs - but the food is very much worth it.

Disappointed - ordered via Uber Eats, it was 25 minutes late, arrived almost cold and both vegetable curries that should have been provided with the Biryani dishes were missing. Having eaten in the restaurant, we expected more, but sadly wont be ordering take away again.

We happen to get a takeaway from this restaurant after reading good reviews about the food.We ordered food and waited for nearly 45 minutes only to realise they never took our order. We called the restaurant and the management dealt with the delivery of food swiftly apologizing for the mixup after 1.5 hours of us ordering the food.I was happy with the hospitality only to realise the food was a nightmare.Food was horrible and we had to bin it after few bites. I was devasted to see my daughter getting fungal infection in her mouth after eating the mushrooms from this place.Our GP suspected, food from this place might have triggered the infection.I am now running around the GP services for swabs, medicines! Please donot get into the trouble I got into, avoid eating in a place where hygenie and food standards are not taken seriously.

A little disappointed 😞 Ordered from here for me and my Dad for dinner as we fancied something different. Sadly they didn't have what I wanted so offered me an alternative which is absolutely fine but when the delivery arrived not only was one of the Nann breads wrong but the prawns that I had as an alternative still had their tails attached, which with a curry isn't exactly the easiest thing to deal with. The staff are really polite and friendly but disappointed that the order was wrong.

Great take away in Yeovil. The dansak is great with the right level of spice and the Sag Paneer is especially creamy. All in all, consistently great food and reasonably priced.

I booked a table for 5 people on a Friday evening at Bombay Dining online. Upon arrival they had to arrange a table to fit us all on, so I guess they weren’t expecting us. The waiting staff throughout were a delight, easily the highlight of the evening, which dragged the rating up to 3 stars. Upon taking our drink order and poppadom order half of the drinks were unavailable, no draught cider (just cans) and no amaretto. We were seated in the main room, very quiet as there were only us in and another couple, but either the delivery driver in and out all evening. Poppadoms and associated dips were lovely, and we ordered our mains. The Chicken Munchurian was the most tasteless dish I’ve ever had - I genuinely couldn’t tell you what it tasted like, except very slightly spicy. It didn’t even taste like chicken! Chips were fine and plentiful, rice good, but garlic naans were awful, lathered in garlic butter, almost inedible without scraping the excess off. Chicken Korma was lovely, not much chicken but really tasty. My mother had a chicken dish with undercooked chicken (although she didn’t complain or tell the staff..). Toilets were ok - no means of drying your hands though. Parking easy and round the corner. It’s not the most desirable of areas, or the cleanest and more inviting, but it was ok. The bill came to roughly £23 each, not massively expensive, but for drinks from a can it seemed on the pricy side. Food for me was 2 out of 5 at best, dragged up to a 3 with the grand service from the super staff. Card machine broke down so had to pay cash, but that could happen anywhere at any time. Upsets me to say this, but I’ll be going elsewhere for an Indian from now on.

Just enjoyed another fabulous take out from Bombay Dining. The food is always amazing here. My absolute favourite Indian Restaurant. Although we’ve very much enjoyed the take outs, hopefully we can return to the actual restaurant very soon. Looking forward to it.

Tried this restaurant on a bit of a whim as a change from our regular Indian in Sherborne and we have definitely found our new favourite! Incredible food, fantastic value and great portion size.

I do not recommend spent over £35 the korma was watery and had a hair in the chicken tikka , phoned up and spoke to the Manager about it he didn’t seem bothered and was very rude and started swearing down the phone at me , I will not be using this restaurant ever again!

I have just tried this takeaway tonight for the first time, just felt like trying something new, and it is superb, really delicious and very fresh. The Ceylon Chicken blew my head off but so delicious kept coming back for more. This will now be my regular place for Indian food.

Me and my boyfriend are visiting from London for my birthday and honestly it’s better than any Indian I’ve had at home; I had the honey chilli chicken and chilli cauliflower it was fabity fab! Also the waiters were nice! Highly recommend 5 stars x

Walked in at 18.30 and restaurant was empty at 19.00 sat at table heard the restaurant staff discussing cooking of a frozen salmon, opened menu to discover food stuck to the inside of menu. Promptly left grossed us out

We ordered a takeaway during our weekend stay. A northern Indian lamb curry with plain naan and a king prawn bhuna with onion garlic coriander rice.We were given a takeaway discount and free onion bhajees and poppadoms with sauces.We found the curries and rice quite delicious. Full of deep flavours and spices. The curry sauces were light, i.e. were not containing loads of oil like in other restaurants but still filling.The king prawns were giant!Nice food would order again

Had a take away for tea, what a disappointment the chicken Pathia was awfull and had to be throwen away with the rice. The Pathia was so thin in texture with no lemon or tomatoes slices on top, it was spicy hot, more like chicken in tomato sauce. The special rice tasted of over spicing. Not good. The veg curry looked like it had been made from frozen veg not fresh. I would not use again
