Mukta balti in South Somerset

Very disappointed. We have had many meals over the last few years but none of us were wowed today. Order was wrong necessitating a second delivery (so we could not eat together). Food was ok and hot but onion salad was full of water. May need to find a new local favourite.

First time using this place and very glad we did. Food hot and chicken soft, tender and not overcooked like most places. Good bit of spice in the vindaloo but very nice flavour, wife loved her tikka masala. Ordered the onion bahjee starter and received 4 large ones and a free naan. Too much to eat in one go so we both halved the curry and rice and put the rest in the freezer. Definitely give this place a try.

The delivery drivers will scam the money you give if they get the opportunity. STAY AWAY. For context they mistakely marked order as paid so when we paid the delivery driver by cash they pocketed it. Ending in a massive dispute with the owner in which they accussed us and took the drivers side. Horrendous experience, STAY AWAY.

Had our first takeaway here today and it won't be our last. Amazing food and great service, the best Indian food we've had for ages, tasty, well spiced and really generous portions.

Went to Mukta Balti because we were let down by Raj Cuisine. Thank goodness it happend. Ordered the same items and wasn't disappointed, in fack the food was outstanding. Hot, flavoursome and generous portion sizes. Will use this take away from now on and will recommend to anybody.

Have used Mukta for years but recently have been getting worse. Expected to wait over 2 hours for food on a normal night so we have been sat waiting patiently for 2 hours, called and were told their website is down. Despite getting a confirmation email. No apology. No offer to rectify. Just "you can order over the phone now and wait another hour".

Just ordered our usual meal, have used this restaurant many many times and is our go to Indian. Tonight the Bombay potatoes were black in places and hard so very disappointed. Prices have gone up dramatically, last year just under £20 this year £27.70 despite this because we have always had a very good meal we were prepared to pay but not anymore.

You can’t beat it. I have spent a lot of money in my life eating Indian food, in many different places. It’s still the best.

We have been using mukta balti for a number of years now, the quality and quantity are second to none, they offer little extras which complement the meal, its obviously very popular as the phone constantly rings whilst we have waited for our meal.

Paid for food, to later find out they got the order wrong, then when called to correct it they expected us to pay again when they didn't even gave us what we ordered. Decided that's not going to happen, ate what they gave us anyway. Thought it tasted good, until I found a hair in my food

Have been ordering Mukta Balti for a number of years as WAS the best Indian in Yeovil . . Lots of sauce - but lack of meat in the dishes . Waited 2 HOURS for food to be delivered.

What a fantastic takeaway, I can honestly say it's one of the best takeaways I've ever had!!! I had a Bombay curry with egg rice, garlic nam bread, sagaloo, and a takka Dal, with free extras, so generous with the high quality portions 5stars,

Won't go anywhere else for a curry, the chicken pasanda is the best. Even friends from London that tried mukta curry said they haven't found anything as flavoursome and great value as mukta Balti and our looking forward to Covid being over so they can visit for a curry night!

I am a regular at Mukats and the food is always great. The food is so good and large portion sizes. The staff are really helpful with any questions you have regarding any dishes. Can't wait for next weeks Indian on a Friday!

Absolutely rubbish. Over cooked chicken with all the dishes we had. mango chutney had gone off lamb bhuna was ok. Mushroom rice was good poppadoms really salty. We did send a email to complain but still no reply.

I don't often get this sort of takeaway but gosh it was fab. The Morisa was hotter than I was expecting for a 'medium' but was very tasty. Came with a free naan and papadum too and was so much food I'll be eating it tonight as well.

Ordered 2 mains, naan, rice and got a complimentary portion of onion bahjis. The sauce on the dhansak was great the one on the Chicken Jhinga garlic less so, tasting of garlic, ginger and not much else. The main disappointment was the chicken in both dishes was overcooked and dry which spoiled the meal somewhat. I've had better meals from there.

Used this establishment loads of times and found all the food to be excellent and good value with big size portions.

I've been using mukta for the last couple of years and the quality of the food and the portion size is amazing. Always order early in plenty of time especially at the weekend, they do get busy because the food is worth waiting for. Haven't found a chicken pasanda anywhere else that even comes close to mukta's.

The food is amazing here, don't bother going anywhere else! Big portions, super delicious and always hot. The customer service is great too. Can't wait for my next curry from Mukta! Hats off to the chef and staff.

The food is so good here, I think it's safe to safe to say I am a regular! The food is always freshly cooked, really tasty and the staff are really helpful! Be sure to order in advance as they do get busy quickly. Just goes to show eveyone loves a bit of Mukta curry on a saturday night, forget the rest, mukta is the best :)

My favourite Indian Takeaway The best Phall I have ever had. I always try different dishes as well as the phall, and my wife whom is a vegetarian also loves the Veg curry, mushroom bhaji etc.... Sometimes it's so busy there is a wait on a Saturday but it's worth waiting. Plus I used Mukta for over 17 years and I am not bored, great menu.

Don’t bother we tried it from our usual place and all the food was cold, very cold and what can only be described as sludgy , we complained and were basically ignored and offered nothing to make up for the dreadful food , avoid avoid avoid, how this place is still in business is a miracle , it’s awful just don’t bother

Possibly the best takeaway food ever however will NEVER go back to this place again! 2 and a half hours later after ordering on the phone, food turned up even thoe after 2 hours i rung to ask for a refund as couldnt be bothered to wait anymore. To be spoken to rudley lied too many times and HUNG UP ON TWICE!!!!! Guy said he didnt know how to do a refund on the card machine and asked for my sort code and account number to transfer it......(how stupid do u think i am!!!!!) Ended up driving down there at 9.30 at night to get my OWN REFUND as no call back as promised to do a card refund or cash delivered to our door again as promised. No apology no offer of anything for driving down, nothing. Literally the worst customer service, communication and experience ever! We use to order and eat from here a lot and will never again. Very very disapointed.

Nicest Indian takeaway in Yeovil. We have always bought from the restaurant in takeaway alley but seeing the good mid week deals Mukta Balti do we thought we’d give it a try....... so not dissopointed !!!! It was delicious ! The chicken melted in the mouth and just fell off the fork , amazing . The sauces were spot on. Portion sizes were very good. We have found ourselves a new Indian takeaway. Would highly recommend .

I have only been using this take-away for around 3 weeks. After trying every take-away and indian restaurant in Yeovil, i have to say that this is the best! The flavours are to a very high standard, so tasty and presented so well, nonetheless the portions are huge and they're enough for two. Complements to the Owners and Chef, amazing place! Honesty is the best policy. If you give a customer a time no matter how busy you maybe you should keep that customer updated. 2 hours later and still no delivery. Having been told 5 min it is now 40 minutes later and no show .In the age of the Internet you should up your customer service game or watch your business fail.

Well I won't be ordering from there again. I ordered our food at 5.45pm to be told delivery will be with me at 7pm. At 7.20pm still waiting for food. I phoned them and was told there are busy and it would be at least another 20 minutes. There was no apology and they didn't seem to care. So I cancelled the order and placed order with someone else.

First takeaway from Mukta Balti tonight.....We ordered Lemon Chicken for 2,with Lemon Rice..It came with extra onion bargees and popadums for free..The meal for 2 could of fed 4 people..It came to £22 and it was quality......Will be back

Don't even bother, closed tuesdays yet fail to mention this on their website (Which still allows you to place an order!) or their signage on the door! Great if you enjoy your time being wasted! Have since submitted that they're closed Tuesday's to Google to prevent others from a wasted trip.

Me and my husband came to Yeovil for the first time for work and we were recommended this place, and it's safe to say they did not disappoint!!! The food and service was absolutely amazing, very good portion size and so tasty! They even gave us a few extras as we'd been fasting all day! Mukta Balti... Even the name sounds mythical. Before visiting the legendary curry-house, the reviews I had received from prior visitors would shake me to the core with raw excitement. Some say that I hadn't really lived, if I've never tasted a Mukta Special. All food you've ever had has nothing on this unreal Balti house. Remember that snack you took from Max, bin it. Remember that Steak and Kidney Pie you had from Ty, get rid of it. Thinking of going to get Fish And Chips from Mrs Pips, THINK AGAIN. Go to Muktas and you'll never leave. Tell your wife and kids, cause mate you're gonna be living in Muktas.

Hands down best indian takeaway in yeovil, well priced, good size portions cant fault them! Hard to get through for phone orders at busy times but that just a testament to how busy/good they are. Also my wife orders a meal that got taken off the menu and they still make it for her no problem, there arent many takeaway places that would do that for a customer

Been left Yeovil for 6 years + and when I was there was a frequent visitor to Mukta was down visiting friends and family and decided to have an Indian I was a lover of the chicken handi and you can't get it in the North East so decided to have that again omg it was delicious my wife and the vegetable karai and she love the portions was good so brought some back with us and have just had it and it was so nice just had to write a review

The first time we have ordered from here and we will always order from here now on. Husband said it was the best Korma he had ever had and the garlic chili chicken balti was perfect! Huge bits of fresh chicken, with tons of flavor. Large portions too... I'm still working through my balti a day later. Will certainly be back,

Amazing! This was our first (delivery) order with them and decided to go for the set menu. It was perfect, all the dishes we like (that aren't usually in set menu) and so much food. Could have easily fed 6 and we are good eaters! The meat is very good, literally couldn't fault it. Will be ordering from here from now on!
