The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

Visited here 22 February 2025 and highly recommend it for the friendly service from start to when we left, and the delicious food with the perfect blend of spices to give enough heat. We usually like medium/hot. It was a delight to not have loads of added salt which I usually get with vegetarian food. I would definitely return.

Entonces dijimos que no teníamos problema. Si no hay ningún problema puede darnos neembu pani y kokum sharbat nos rechazaron Una chica llamada Parul es muy sucia y nos habla muy sucia. Es muy testarudo. Solíamos hablar con ella en inglés y ella solía hablar con nosotros en Gujarati No sé si no sé inglés, así que por qué lo mantienes en el trabajo. Nuestras bebidas solían ser de £ 4. 50 y los reemplazamos y pedimos bebidas por un total de £ 9 pero se negaron. Chica Gujarati, tuvimos £ 5 de chile extra uno y cuchara extra pequeña chutney. No sabe ningún idioma excepto el gujarati. ¿Cómo lo llevas en el trabajo? Yo no sé nada. Me niego a que toda la gente vaya a Skvp porque Gujarati Girl Paul me engañó porque Lot. Our go to restaurant in Ongar. Always have a great meal every time. Delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. Very highly recommend!

I went here for take out food and the staff was super friendly, I asked for their recommendations and they recommended their favorites even warning me it was spicy which I love. One of the best house side salads I've had with lots of fresh veggies and variety. overall great value and great food from this place.

I have only had a couple of takeaways, but when I collect the restaurant always have a very nice atmosphere and the staff are friendly. From a food perspective for me the portions are not very generous, and there is not as much meat in the portion as other local Indian restaurants. So if they sorted that I would maybe buy from there more.

Tuve la mejor masala dosa nunca. Fue picante, se hizo como debería haber sido. Estoy totalmente contento y contento. Muchas gracias por tan buena comida.

First time at this since it came under new ownership and the food overall was very good, plenty of choice including the traditional curries ,rice and Naan..etc but I would recommend the South Indian specialties including the Dosa's, well worth a try. Nice casual family vibe and quite popular

El lugar estaba limpio. El personal era muy agradable. La comida estaba falta de sabor. TODOS los currys que pedimos tenían demasiado azúcar añadido, así que los currys eran dulces. Nos desconcertó por qué la comida tomó mucho tiempo para que la comida llegara en un restaurante tranquilo. Los precios eran más caros que en Londres. Conclusión: NUNCA MÁS.

Loved the ambience. The smell of food lingers all over the dining hall. So good. The foods were great also the service! Thank you!

The food was superb. I had a chai drink and the light paratha with chickpeas. Everything freshly made on the premises. Very clean restaurant in an unassuming side street in Blackburn. Don’t be put off when you arrive- the restaurant is very clean and there is a good atmosphere. Mixed communities. Great find!

went to try the food out and it didn't disappoint the samosas and the spring rolls were especially really nice with their sauce.

Love the food cant get better in area BUT never answer phone cant order on website as sez closed .... tried just eat again sez closed.... tried for over half hour to put order in via phone not answering... NOT FIRST TIME happens a lot. Great food but need to address the above sure your loosing so much business as I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Order easily taken over phone and very helpful advising. Food arrived on time and still very hot. All items tasty , well cooked and plentiful.
