Exilent food quality with the best price specially the chicken tikka masala and chi vindaloo,staff was very friendly and no rush .i think this is the best place ever i ate in lingfield area,will must visit again soon

Most EXPENSIVE Indian Restaurant I have Ever eaten at. Me and my partner went here on Friday Night, and decided to share a Curry. 3 poppadoms. 1 curry, 1 rice, 1 Nan, 1 chips and 2 Beers.......over £39! Disgusting! Where I live, the same amount of food was only £17. I'll never come back here.

Tasty takeaway and promptly delivered. Food was piping hot. Nice spices and not greasy. Wide veggie selection.

Beware of the container charge at the end of the bill if you decide to take food home. This wasn’t explained to us as we ate most of the food and decided to take some home and then wanted to charge us £16 for container charge, this was then reduced to £4 and that’s £1 each container after a conversation with the waiter and then the manager. This was the rectified which was quite of an embarrassment.

Half price Sunday and Wednesday makes up for the rest of it

My family and I have been going to the Bengal for years and it NEVER disappoints. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is always brilliant and is cooked to order, and the prices are good too. We were lucky enough to be there on Sunday when, unbeknown to us when booking, all food is 50% off when dining in which was a very welcomed surprise! This deal was available another day of the week too. We went with kids and the staff were very accommodating of them - getting extra (cold!) plates for their food.

Excellent good I mean great food. Very clean and amazing decor. Good host and ask them about the Sabucca trick? Amazing really good deserves a visit at least once a month. Eat in or take out I am sure you will be H for Happy 😌

Went for lunch with friends. The ambience and decor was amazing. Staff were great. It wasn't busy at all. The food was amazing, mixture of both spicy and mild. We had choices of various dishes such as prawns, mutton, chicken, biryani rice, freshly baked butter naan bread. I truly had a feast. I will visit again.

Went as a party of 4 for dinner. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Every dish we had was on point. Even with all the drinks we had, the total bill was very reasonable. Would recommend.

So disappointed with the evening tonight, staff was very stressed, Food was ordered and a long wait when it finally arrived I had to wait for the remaining rice by the time it had arrived my main was cold,. Food is okay (chicken was chewy) but very small portions and very overpriced for what it is. There’s quite a bit of noisy coming from a water tank which is a bit off putting

Every time we visit family here in England, we always have to book in atleast 2 times here and always have amazing service and the food is the best curry we have had! We come all the way from Australia for it and can't find another like it! Khan especially is very welcoming! Highly recommend!

Staff extremely pleasant, helpful. No rushing in getting you to order your food, but extremely prompt on entry to your table and asking if require a drink, food piping hot could tell it was freshly cooked, food portions great size, even topped up glass when getting low. very friendly staff would definitely recommend

We went on Saturday evening after being at the race track. They were very accommodating given that it was later in the evening and the food was lovely. I had a delicious lamb biryani, but given that it was so late I ate less than half and asked to take the rest home with me, not wanting to waste it. Opened the take away box for my lunch today to discover that ALL the dozen or so pieces of lamb had been removed and I had been given the remains of a vegetable curry, not what we had paid for. I can only assume that they did this with the intention of selling again to some other unsuspecting customer. Shameful practice and taken advantage of the assumption that it was all wrapped up and I wouldn't check until later. Will not be returning and very disappointed.

What's happened to the spicy poppadoms?! They're awful! Just rammed full of cumin seeds and salt now; I like salt, probably too much, on my food but these were so salty they're inedible. Why would you do that?! It's almost as if the chef ran out of the correct ingredients and just threw in, literally, a shed load of whatever else was to hand; and it was cumin seeds and salt, and lots of both and nothing else. Disappointingly dreadful. For a change, the entire order was all there this time, nothing was missing, only for it to be ruined with these culinary horrors ... knew it was too good to be true. If this is the shape of things to come, then it was better when they forgot them altogether to be honest!

Twice we have visited this lovely restaurant. The manager, Khan, is very attentive and friendly along with all other members of staff. Food is so flavoursome and always piping hot! Good variety on the menu. Will be visiting again!

One of the most enjoyable evenings spent in this lovely restaurant. Most of our family chose a different meal to the usual one.....wow...Kashmir chicken was absolutely delicious, I didn't think I could top my normal Korma or even Biryani!!! I was wrong. The extra taste of banana with the coconut was just magical. We have always had fantastic food and service in this place, but last night just tip the top. Thank you all very much.

The curry was lovely, but the poppodums were stale and I was charged delivery even though it was advertised as free delivery.

Had delivery, onion bhaji's swimming in oil, had to drain the excess oil off the bhona. Nothing good to say about meal, most of it is in the bin. Very disappointing. Would not use again, waste of hard earned cash.

Whenever I go home to visit the old dear I visit Bengal. They've not disappointed me once since they opened many years ago. I eat a lot of curry and this is one of the best i've had between Croydon and Brighton

My wife and I decided to get a takeaway from Bengal Village after seeing all the positive reviews. They serve authentic Indian and Bangladeshi dishes.The food was beautifully presented and the aroma of warm spices made our mouth water! It certainly didn’t disappoint!We Ordered: Poppadoms with mango and mint chutneys - the golden wonders of a curry house! Mix Starters - vegetable samosas, onion bhajee, chicken tikka, lamb tikka. A great start to our meal! Crispy samosas and bhajees and soft succulent chicken and lamb! Lamb Chops - These were first class! The marinade was very generous that when you bite into it, you instantly taste a combination of spices instantly full of flavour and very meaty too! Some restaurant give you chops but low quality with not enough meat on the bone! Lamb Achari - Our favourite of the two curries. The lamb fillets were so tender and really loved the achari taste! The spicy and tangy combo is amazing Karahi Chicken Tikka Masala - the soft and tender chicken was the same as the starter but infused with a tomato masala gravy. It is a milder curry in general though I was wanting a spicy kick. Peshwari Naan - a tasty with a strong nutty and coconut taste naan which my wife loved alongside the two curries! Cheese Naan - It was a lovely naan with cheese on top, I would have preferred the cheese inside but nonetheless very delicious! Keema Rice - A winning keema rice! A must to order as it's the best we've had at a restaurant! Fresh and spicy keema mince and there was so much flavour from the garlic and spices! Pilau Rice - Delicious buttery pilau with lots of fried onions! Perfect with the curries The portions are really generous and enough to feed the whole family!If you're looking for a takeaway spot with hearty food then we would definitely recommend you try Bengal Village!

Ordered a takeaway from here. The food was extremely bland and tasted like it had no spice or seasoning. It was so poor that we ended up not eating it. Such a waste of money. We rang them and they said that’s just how it’s cooked and there’s nothing they can do about it. Very disappointing, have been going to the Bengal for years but definitely wouldn’t order again from there.

Excellent service and the food was sublime. Some of the freshest and most authentic Indian food I’ve had in a long time. The flavours were all well defined. Worth a trip from London to give it a try, really superb.

I've heard people say this is the best Indian take away in the area. They are wrong. It's s the best Take Away in the whole country.

Ordered online / they provided someone else order which was a pickup - we then had to return to the restaurant with the food (despite Covid-19 they wanted the food back) and the we get our own order and that turns out to be incomplete The restaurant flatly refused to put this right by delivering - insisting we return to the restaurant a third time.Disgusting customer service - I wonder if the lady sat in the restaurant waiting for her order got the stuff we had to return.

Disappointed. The service was slow and our server got agitated with us because of an onion allergy despite the food being ordered months in advance and multiple discussions in advance to ensure they could cater for the allergy. When the food arrived it was sloppy, dull and unappetizing. Disappointing as others seemed to enjoy it. Service was incredibly slow and it wasnt that busy. Though we were a large party I would have expected more attention from the staff

My wife and I visited this restaurant today for a leisurely dinner, the food was well presented, piping hot and tasty, the service was superb and we had a thoroughly delightful evening. The restaurant has clearly been refurbished recently and looks superb inside and outside and I cant wait to visit the venue again in the VERY near future. If you are in the area, do give this restaurant a go, you will not be disappointed.

Me and my partner moved to edenbridge (bout 10 min drive) 7 years ago and have been coming here since then its our favorite place to eat in the world. Cant see us ever not going

Food is great service was ok been in twice now with a person in a wheelchair there is a step but no offer of help to negotiate and no temporary ramp.

Long time since I have been in the Bengal and was very pleasantly suprised ! Although the decor is the same as it was in the 1990s (i think) it is clean and comfortable. The staff were really friendly and we had the special menu as it was wednesday which was really good value for money. All the food was also really tasty and not oily - nice and hot too.

Best takeaway meal we have had in months. Will be reordering very soon. Had the veg curry and the new king prawn dish which were both very tasty. Thanks

Bengal Village is located in the Surrey village of Lingfield which is the home of Lingfield Racecourse less than a mile away. Race days sees a large influx of people to the town and its restaurants but even on 'normal' days this restaurant is very popular so it's worth booking tables especially at weekends. The menu offers both traditional and unique Chef Specials at reasonable prices in a lovely clean atmosphere. The staff are always friendly and helpful and will provide off menu dishes to suit individual requirements. Takeaway service is available but not delivery.

Didn’t have time for a sit down meal so opted for a takeaway, excellent food, well presented, right level of spiciest, all very clear from the menu, had to collect as they dont seem to do delivery, but very impressed with food and staff were also super friendly

We are having meals at lingfield for last many years .Bengal village was good one for food and services . But now it has taken over by new management . They can't take proper dicision for their business . New management may be struggling with their business. They should set up mind for super services. Last week we went there for dinner with my family where was a child . waiters were busy with computer and also was talking loudly about their own matter without looking after us. My child was very hungry so i liked to get their attention but they were so crazy about their personal matter . They didn't bother us as a customer . We were so lucky that finally one person has served us food with very annoying face . Thats it .There is no busy like befor we have seen , I think due to their bad and crazy services making them business down . So Sad .

The food was above average, tasty with crunchy salad and quick service. However the decor is in desperate need of some attention . Meal started okay with the normal popadoms and good selection of chutneys etc. However we were repeatedly interrupted by a waiter asking for our main meal orders. We tried to explain that we were in no rush. After this remark the waiter acted in an aggressive , unprofessional manner. Treating us more like his mates from the pub than paying patrons. He was strutting up and down, shoulder back and chest out , like cockerel that was guarding his hens. His customer relation skills were something to be desired. To cap it all , once our meal was completed he threw the bill at us and didn’t ask if we required anything further. I did complain to the management and was told ( with a smirk) the waiter was having a bad day . At the end of the evening the young waiter disappeared and Abu served us. He can only be described as a lovely chap but unfortunately could not undo the wrong doings of the arrogant young waiter. Would I return for the food , Yes but would I risk returning and receiving he same waiter No. Well done Abu for trying to save the evening but unfortunately you were a bit too late.
