Amazing food and very friendly staff . 10/10 recommend

Have used this place for years, but it’s become a victim of its own success. 50 minutes after being sat they take our order, after asking three times to be told two minutes. No drinks service at all and then while half table still eating they start clearing the table, leaning over people as the next booking for our table has arrived. 50 mins to order is why it’s over run. Such a shame as the food is amazing.

The food was superb & the service excellent. I would very much recommend it.

I pen this message under the watchful eye of the sun. The food? Delectable. It was a warm summer night, darkness coming in, we took shelter. Stepping into the establishment was like stepping into Delhi, even though it was in the UK. We were seated and dined like an episode of come dine with me without the other guests. Food was brought, drinks were drank, Indian music was sang. I felt like Cinderella being taken to the ball… even though I left with both my shoes. 10/10, would go again

I’m new to the area and I was deeply impressed with the food. The restaurant was immaculate and the surface was particularly good. The portions were extremely generous. Cannot recommend highly enough. My waiter Sultan was particularly excellent.

We have come from Dorset for a funeral & after reading Trip Advisor reviews,we decided to have dinner here. Its the BEST Biryani I've ever had. I've had it in India & this is better than in India. The vegetable curry accompanying it was stunning. Every dish was unique & utterly delicious. The welcome was warm & the service outstanding. If we lived here, we'd come every month. Best Indian Restaurant in the UK.

highly recommend this restaurant we came today for the first time and they had a buffet I can honestly say the food was outstanding. the beat madras I've ever eaten. the whole buffet menu was stunning. the staff are lo Ely and friendly. we will definitely be returning and have now found our favourite curry house

Food is always excellent. I do have some suggestions: sell large portions of mint sauce - fewer plastic containers wasted…. The Daansak is lovely but is a bit too spicy now - it was perfect a couple of months back.

Food always top notch. Super friendly staff and even got offered a complimenty brandy after the meal. Whyteleafe may not be a bustling or picturesque destination but the RT is really worth a visit. Great stuff.

Nice buffet food, worth a visit

Thought we would try the Sunday buffet and it was simply superb. Food was excellent with good variety and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we were well looked after. Great food, lovely staff and venue.

The food and service are excellent and the restaurant vibe feels very cosy and welcoming. The staff are friendly too. I would recommend getting the lamb garlic goa curry speciality.

In the heart of Whyteleafe, the Royal Tandoori scores top marks in every way. Masoud is a perfect gentleman and host and his kindness and hospitality shines through every aspect of the lovely restaurant. The menu is excellent with some unique delicacies, the atmosphere is stylish, the food exceptional, and the staff are superb. Prices are excellent value too. The Royal has ample on street parking as well as the station road car park just yards away. We are so delighted to have this wonderful community spirited restaurant in Whyteleafe. Altogether a very valuable treasure in Whyteleafe village.

Exceptional service, varied menu with something for everyone. Very welcoming atmosphere, service is friendly but professional. Bar holds a wide variety of drinks, lovely selection of after dinner drinks including really nice coffee. Highly recommended 👌

Ordered a chicken tikka masala and chicken korma with pilau rice. The chicken in the korma tasted like it was left over chicken (days old) after a sunday roast or was boiled and pulled apart then mixed with the sauce. Everything tastes reheated/days
