The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

Probably the most tasteless curry we have ever had. We were expecting exceptional because of the queue for takeaway, tandoori chicken starter was dry and tough, shema kebab was burnt, peshwari naan was very dry, both curries we order were almost tasteless. Rice had no seasoning, we will not be back. A special evening ruined.

1st visit of the year to the Shaj Tandoori and once again, we couldn't fault the food or service, spot on once again......+++++......

We recently discovered this fantastic Indian restaurant in the heart of Langport. Clearly a local staple, we ate in the restaurant and were treated well, and the food was very tasty.

Excellent restaurant: food, service, space itself. Best of the best. We go often and always enjoy the atmosphere and delicious food! Strongly recommending

The fact Hassans isn’t #1 is incredible. The food and service there was impeccable and nothing too much trouble. If you aren’t close to Moreton then a trip is 100% worth it. Both a fantastic menu and a good selection of drinks, it’s the perfect place for a date night or for a big meal out. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable, we will be back!

Fantastic food as always, had the lamb jalfrezi and lamb pathia with pilau rice and peshwari naan.

Fabuloso restaurante indio con boca - comida deliciosa - tuvimos deliciosas chuletas de cordero anjeer y entrantes de pollo sexy y luego pollo tikka masala, gambas malvani, pollo pistacho y Dahl negro - me está haciendo la boca agua simplemente escribiendo esto!! ¡No puedo depilarme lo suficiente sobre este hermoso lugar!

A wonderful place in the heart of Buxton. The staff are super friendly which really helps. The menu is very clever with lots of innovative options including a children's menu. This business really stands out in Buxton and is well worth a visit. Highly recommended. Keep up the good work.

One of the best curry’s I’ve ever had!

I've been coming here for over 30 years and it's still the best curry you can get. The staff are all lovely and the food it's just so good. You can't get a chicken tikka or butter chicken dry fry anywhere else which is why I keep coming back. The prawn dishes and staters are also fantastic. I used to love coming here with my parents as a child and have many happy memories. Its all been refurbished and looks great but thankfully its still the same chefs and still the same lovely tasting food. Can't wait to come back.

Family run business in heart of town easy parking, food was amazing keema curry and korma , was amazing food & very traditional, if in Retford again will definitely visit ,real hidden gem , and great value for money .

Not been for a long time. Starters ok. Main okish Other groups chosen meals looked like their plates had been served with a freshly slaughtered cows innards. Bright red. Surely this isn't right! Pickle tray as bad with unrecognisable bright red dips apart from onion relish. Poppadoms fine. Wine (I use that term loosely) came in a caraffe and if it had 5% alcohol in it it would be stretching it. Watery. Place lacking ambience. A place where a gang of lads would go after a night out on the lash.
