The best restaurants serving Indian food in Yorkshire and The Humber

The food finally arrived after 2 hours from ordering. I had to ring twice to see where it was. The first time I rang they definitely had forgotten about my order. When the food came it was warm but the curry was very watery. Definitely won’t be ordering again

This food took over 2 hours to deliver. I called twice and was told I would be called back after the first one and never was. Second time the staff member called the delivery driver directly and it happened to be just outside.

Always great food, with really friendly staff! We haven’t eaten in before but all takeaways we have had have been great!

Love the atmosphere of this place, the food is lovely, to top it off the staff and service are fantastic!

The standard of food and portion size from this Indian restaurant is second to none. Ignore the rumours from neighbouring shops and their cohorts scaremongering about hygiene standards in the kitchen, this restaurant is certainly worth a visit. The restaurant is mock Tudor and, like the staff, is very welcoming. Parking is yards away in the market place of Helmsley. The chicken tiki achari is amazing, their fish choices vast and their Chefs Recommendations and Spice Specials must be looked at and tried. This review is from a die hard lifelong curry eater, but the food served here is exceptional.

Went over the weekend. I've been 3 times in the last 6 months.cant fault the food.very tasty .I just got the impression they wanted us out the restaurant as quickly as possible.my mate was swearing alot maybe it was that but have a word with us .clearing food away that wasn't finished and never got chance to have the chocolate at the end as they took them away.the restaurant wasn't overly busy so I didn't understand the rush .put me off abit now wanting to return

They catered for all of us including vegetarian and vegan options. Fast service, delicious food and friendly staff. One of our favourite restaurants in Sowerby Bridge.

Good venue, very helpful staff, made our party night great.

Had many many curries here over the years, but had a 7 year gap due to living away. Went back the other night with friends, and shocked to find zero customers at 9 on a Friday night. Immediately had panicking thoughts that the food must now be dire. Wrong! 6 of us with starters and mains, and not a bad serving among them. Good to see at least one staff member of old, still providing great service, but where are all the customers!? You were guaranteed a wait at the front at this time on a Friday last time we were there. Haworth was busy enough, but just not in here. Shame.

Amazingly brilliant food! Would suggest the chicken tikka massala with mushroom rice+garlic nan as they all compliment each other perfectly.👌 Onion barji is cooked and seasoned to perfection, giving your taste buds a real treat. The pickle trey with poppadoms is heavenly.😋 Couldn't be any better!!! Would come again!!

Incredible food and they were more than happy to cater for gluten free people. Incredible welcoming and friendly service staff too.

My family and I were not blown away by the food (roast beef and gammon steak) but others in the larger group loved the food. I will say that serving size was generous and that satisfies many people.
