Great food. Mega deal on Wednesday & Sunday £14.95 for 5 course. Great food and very clean

Went after a neighbour’s recommendation, they have been going for 20+ years. We love our Indian restaurants including basic ones. Went on a Wednesday night, when unbeknown to us, is a banquet night. £14.95 for 3 courses plus ice cream or coffee which we didn’t bother with. Great value especially as BYO booze too! Friendly efficient service, really keen to accommodate our wishes and overall really good food and experience. Not outstanding just very good and great value. We will return!

Nothing special, the food wasn’t great and very expensive for what it is. It was more like a cheap takeaway than a restaurant. Kids chicken popcorn looked absolutely rank and my child wouldn’t eat it the chips are dry and hard too! Curries are very bland and greasy overall we wasn’t impressed and the atmosphere wasn’t great. The service was shocking and they looked to me they didn’t wanna work at all. I never felt uncomfortable in an Indian restaurant ever but I sure did today. I can say for sure we none of us will be returning again.

Normally 5 star food but today the chicken was rubbery in all 3 meals. The pineapple was sour in the dhansak and the garlic had barely been chopped. Hope this was a one off.

Food was nice and hot. Test was sensational. Will most definitely be back soon

My friend who lives in Sheffield, when he comes to see me, always insists on going to The Red chilli in Castleford. It always a very nice meal. I inferable have the fish and it never disappoints. Excellent food, great staff, and a nice atmosphere. The waiter even turned the music off as it was affecting my hearing aid. I would never choose to have a curry in any other Indian/Bangladeshi restaurant in Castleford.

Rice was clap cold but the worst of it was the curry. within seconds of it being plated up water came out of it and there was a big puddle on the plate. It made the full plate inedible. mango lassi arrived in a previously used milk bottle

Plenty of meat in the curries, however found many fibrous pieces that were inedible. Rice was Luke warm. Chips Luke warm. Keema naan flavour was great but very soggy. Chicken pakora lovely. Used this restaurant due to our usual being closed- not likely to come back.

I didn’t realise the takeaway was in castleford when I ordered, I live in pontefract any there was nothing wrong as such with the food but I think there is better in pontefract

The food arrived late cold and missing items. It was 5 courses and only received 4. Very disappointed and wasted £30. Would not recommend or order from again.

Curry was lovely chops were like rubber the delivery driver was rude on the phone didn’t know how much my order was I had to have a look and tell him wouldn’t get off the phone while trying to sort the price out.

Ordered a lamb badim curry, just ate the rice and sauce of it which the sauce they did it in was lovley, but the lamb was as tough as old boots, think they need to slow cooker the lamb first for a few hours or something to make it tender

Abdul Roth, you are a great cook but the chief at Red chilly 1 Castleford is serving old meat and I think you need to do better.

Ordered for delivery tonight. Arrived before stated and food was delicious. Even my 8 year old enjoyed the masala. Definitely be ordering again!

Although delivered late, 20 minutes after the revised time but nearly 35 minutes after the original estimate, the food was absolutely magnificent. I will go as far to say that it is the best Indian takeaway I have had in many years. Happy (ish) to wait for something of that quality. Will definitely be ordering from them again.

We came to visit the area for the weekend and, as usual, just googled an idian restaurant near by.. I've always loved Indian food and like to think I know good from.bad as I'm so picky but this place is literally the best. I'm going back today after visiting the restaurant last night to take one home with me lol.. the service is great very friendly polite professional and the place had a great buzz the best thing which I think is genius is you take your own drink which just saves a fortune when the bill comes but also you can drink what you enjoy not what they have to offer it's a great trick to get people in but I'm coumg back soon and I highly recommend this place well done to all the staff 5stars all round for me

Ordered a chicken korma with pilau rice and mushroom pillau rice all tasted great very hot and fresh will be ordering again 😊

As a takeaway I ordered chicken tikka masala with chips. They were frozen chips/fries. Enough to feed 3 people but how cheap are they. The tikka masala was not cracking either. Price £12 including delivery which was a five minute drive. Won't be ordering another takeaway any time soon. Bit of a rip off I think.

I would rate this 0 stars if I could, for years myself and my family have ordered from this place but the past 6 months it’s gone down hill from cold currys, to late arrivals from orders… up to 2 hours in some cases and now to the point where they cancel your order without telling you and refusing to answer the phone to explain why the order was cancelled… I was a loyal customer, not anymore. In future I’ll order from yusufs. Disappointing red chilli, what has happened?

Was able to collect in half an hour. Chips and naan bread ended up a little bit soggy from the packaging but rest was fine.

Abolsolutly fantastic from the popa doms to the main . . I must say one of the best curry's I've had and I've been to a few it's my regular now with my pal . Just thought it was due a write up after so long going . I could of ate the pop a doms and dips for starter and main ( so tasty ) We got mixed platter for starter ( recommend ) Main I had lamb n spinach ( madras strength ) BEUITIFUL .. Keep up the great curry's..

Chicken Hydrabadi was Delicious, medium spice lots of bursting flavours I recommend everyone should try this dish. Best place we have found in Castleford.

Just ordered a takeout..... onion bahjis were like glass shards, tikka paneer was like dried wood. Nann was dry and tastless. Curries were synthetic. I don't often feel the need to give negative review but this was simply awful!!! Avoid.

Family meal 3 hours from start to finish waited way to long meals and service very poor very bland food

It was late I stated can they deliver at 7:25 and it came at 7:55 food tasted reheated but flavour was good we both enjoyed it 6.7 out of 10 would use again 👍🏻

Onion bhaji was stale and over cooked, chicken pakora batter was soggy but the chicken it’s self was dry. Tandoori chicken main was very dry, the only decent thing was the chips and the pop! AVOID at all costs! I’d love a refund seen as all the food went in the bin. But I know that’s not going to happen.

The worst curry i have ever tasted. Watery, and tasteless, no hint of any spices being used. My Bhuna a dry dish had seen a tsunami!

Order was placed at 19.10 said would be delivered 19.50 to 20.00. Rang the. At 20.10 to be told driver left 5 mins ago. Food delivered at 20.20 and it was Luke warm so had to microwave it all. Want be using them again

As usual Abdul, Callum and the guys looked after us. Food was sublime had spicy chicken 🐔 pakora and chicken chat to start and then nagah takari and mutton worri for mains with mushroom pilau and for one time only !!! Chips 🍟 fantastic plus the coffee ☕️ is the best you will get in any restaurant 😋. Thanks again guts for a fab night .

Absolutely love it. Been eating here for 15 years never had a bad meal. You can have a sit down meal and choose from there huge menu and have even changed meals for my girlfriend who doesn't like much spice. Or go on Sunday to enjoy there buffet menu which is like £11 for 4/5 courses. you can take your own booze. 👍👍👍

Thursday evening and we placed an order for £40 and was told delivery would be 45 minutes, that was the first mistake, after 1 hour we rang again to be.told driver was 1 minute away. Two time of ringing they ask to hold on and they would ring driver, which they did 4 times and it went to answer machine so after 1 hour 40 minutes we rang and said we don't want the food. Suprise driver turned up and said please take the food, our reply NO thank you. Driver said he had broken down so why did he not ring and ask for someone else to deliver our food. Will be a long time before we try again. Very very dissatisfied.

We’ve tried loads of Indian’s locally but they’ve never been quite right. This one is 10/10 There was no greasy top layer, the meat wasn’t fatty and the flavours were lovely. By far the nicest Indian we’ve had by far.

Food is amazing, and consistent. Service is just ok. Staff really don't want to be there. So miserable. They need some training on how to set a table. I have not had a napkin on my last 3 visits. Might need to start taking my own.

Usually very good, but on this occasion was delivered 45 mins late. Everything was cold. Driver was miserable and unapologetic. Not sure if we’ll use again after that .

I’ve had food from here for a lot of years, eat-in and takeaway and it saddens me to say that this was the worst food I have had in a long time. I don’t know why but I sincerely hope that you sort yourselves out.

Ordered a special chicken dish.what I got was square chunks of chicken in gravy. I ordered a chicken masala previously and the dish was the same.I am from Bradford and red chilli is not a patch on curries from there.

Lovely food the chops were a bit burnt couldn’t eat them as they were a bit hard but the rest was fab. The delivery driver was as rude as. Don’t knock on a customers door to deliver there food while ur on a Snapchat call didn’t speak didn’t look just passed my food n gave me my change n walked off

Chicken not cooked properly curry is just chilli water the Samosa aren’t homemade just something you get outta the freezer, Wetherspoons curry club is better than this

We turned up pretty late not far off closing but still got really great attentive service along with beautiful fresh food. The prices are really good too cheapest place iv been but dosnt Mach the quality of the food.

Placed an order for collection and the restaurant confirmed it for 17.55 when we got there were told it was not ready and we were asked to wait a further hour. Why confirm the order if they are so busy they can not do the order in the first place. Safe to say won't be using them again and won't be waiting another hour so gone elsewhere
