The best restaurants serving Indian food in City and Hunslet Leeds Yorkshire and The Humber

Our new FAVOURITE Indian in Wakefield Home cooked food, fresh, tasty and definitely worth a visit. This is our third visit and we don’t usually book and have being lucky with getting a table, but as it’s starting to be on the radar of home cooked Indians I’d suggest booking first. I keep forgetting to take pictures of the food and when it lands we soon consume it haha but managed to get a picture tonight of the Dahl and the butter chicken. My favourite is lentil Dahl, my husbands is the butter chicken, both dishes are delicious. We love the bhaji, we prefer the smaller portion for just two of us, just right. Another favourite is pickle tray delicious raita and lime pickle. I would 100% give this place a BIG THUMBS UP!! We used to go to Leeds for our regular Indian nights but now we don’t need to, sorry cats pjamas Leeds.

Such a nice person whoever served me , the food was served within 5 minutes. He gave both me and a friend (who didn’t even buy anything as I was the only one ordering) a free chicken and cheese pastie/wrap thing to try. Which was excellent as well! I ordered the chicken wrap which was PACKED out with chicken , some chips and salad. Great portion for a very good price.

Indian breakfast here this morning to die for. Freshly cooked wonderful food, great coffee and excellent service from the lovely owner and her niece. Highly recommend

Ordered this after a long trip to pick up from the restaurant under the station. The Chicken 65 Chaat (even take-away) is one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten. The Shyam Savera is great too—especially good choice for vegetarians! Beautiful delicate flavours.

We went here for the express lunch and it was oh so delicious. The staff are knowledgeable and passionate and the food was just so varied and tasty. Just the right amount for lunch too - not over-facing but go hungry. Will definitely be back, the loyalty cards are a nice touch too.

It was my very good decision to choose SINGH'S LEEDS for my birthday celebration.. Good food,courteous staff,quick and organized. SINGH'S is the place to be in!! Food was really awesome. I had the most amazing Indian cuisine in years. Definitely 5star quality....

We had a great dinner at mahe coastal. Great Indian cuisine, loved the Tanjavur curry. Lovely ambiance and awesome service given by maryam. Will come back again for sure.

Vino a almorzar y har el pakora naan. Muy agradable y sabroso. Gran señalización en el puesto con respecto a los alérgenos, que fue muy bienvenido. Sería muy bueno ver alternativas no lácteas para la raita en el futuro, un poco de lo contrario realmente sabroso y mucho mejor que un sándwich empapado de Sainsbury!

Excellent food and service, with a special mention for Vijay, who provided outstanding hospitality and knowledge of the menu options.

Quite a disappointing meal considering the rating and reviews... as mentioned, this is now called Indian Pakwaan. We opted for our usual bottle of prosecco, poppadoms/pickles and a main. Plus points are prompt and courteous attention, but some knowledge of the drinks variable would be beneficial. Also the prices seem quite reasonable. Poppadoms tasted burned and the pickles weren't nice, everything laced with caraway seed. My main was a chicken madras, it was OK, far from up there with the best but it wasn't bad... not much meat in it though. My wife's chicken tikka masala on the otherhand was awful. Oddly hotter than my madras, tasted quite acrid wasn't the red colour with hinted sweetness the dish is supposed to be. Not enjoyable at all.

Good choice on menu with some interesting options. Food we ordered was delicious and not too heavy. Friendly and attentive service
