Must have visited Bengal around 10 times with my family. Great food, exceptional service and a lovely interior that's both cosy and comfortable for all. The management and staff always look after me and my family and are extremely attentive and generous. Thank you from the Khan family and we will see you again soon.

A nice meal service wasn't so good they forgot to bring our starters and then as they were going to bring thd main meal remembered them a nice place

Recently visited Bengal Brasserie, staff are very friendly and fast, no waiting around for a server to come up or having to ask. The manager was very friendly and always making sure everything was okay as-well as a complimentary drink after our meal. Atmosphere: the decor is very beautiful with nice purple lighting, the let down with the atmosphere was the bar area with a massive crowd at the door being very loud. Food was very delicious with large portions, was left very full. Would recommend for an evening out, as-well as the prices being fair.

This Indian was really friendly, with a warm, welcome, and a good drink selection. There were a few parties in so the atmosphere was good, although there was no music on at all which I felt would’ve helped create an ambience for those that were not in a large group. The wine selection was reasonable, with a great gin selection, but just to note the tonic water for the gin only comes in 125 mL bottles. The food was delicious, they even do a healthy option and are happy to cook food without oil, perfect for those on SlimmingWorld. I would highly recommend a visit to this Indian, you’ll have a great experience with very friendly staff.

Absolutely gorgeous meal. Had lamb biryani..fresh ingredients cooked to perfection, Absolutely delicious. Best i have had to date. Highly recommended. Very busy on a Saturday night so best to book in advance.

Went to Leeds for an overnight stay for St Patrick's day. After the day had ended we were searching for somewhere to eat just around the corner from our hotel we found Bengal. The second we walked through the door we felt very welcome the restaurant setting was beautiful and was served our drinks within minuets the staff were as friendly as they come. We were then served poppadoms with some amazing array of dips and seasoned onion. The table was then prepared for the main course and we was excited about what to expect due to the experience we were currently having. The main courses were show stopping-ly unbelievable the taste and colour each dish had was something none of our table had ever had before. As our stomachs started to fill it was so hard to actually stop eating becasue it was just too good to leave. Once we had finished eating....our left overs were placed into doggy bags and we were given hot towels to cleanse our hands and a small chocolate to cleanse the balance of the palet. You don't have to have any experience with Indian food either as the staff have all the knowledge you need to know about the menu, is it spicy?....just ask rather than chance it and tamper with your experience by being hit unexpectedly with that unbearable heat ! Thank you so much Bengal what a beautiful experience we will be returning to Leeds very soon just to eat at the restaurant again UNBELIEVABLE!!! 20 out of 10 stars !!!!

My daughter has recommended Bengal Brasserie in Merrion center Leeds to celebrate Mother's day with me in advance. Iqbal and his team are very welcoming. The ambiance is charming and the Bengal cuisine is delectable, freshly made, and at the right temperature. Every exquisite flavour of the dishes that we have ordered and eaten danced on our palate. I say, this restaurant is a culinary haven and I am eagerly anticipating our next visit. To Iqbal, it's nice to know that you like Paquiao. 😊 Jen

Nice food and an exhilarating and friendly atmosphere. The ultra busy and fastidious front of house was a little disconcerting but didn’t spoil our overall experience.

I booked a table 24 hours in advance - arrived at the booked time. Urged energetically to sit at entrance and have a drink. 15 minutes passed with 12 or more people being seated. I asked what was happening with our seating - I was told it was a busy night with event at Arena - it would be at least another 15 minutes before we would be seated !! We left. I explained this in an email. The response was not truthful and there was no recognition that they had failed to honour the booking arrangement.

One of the finest Indian restaurants for food, in my view - the food is absolutely delicious every time. Our most recent visit was before an arena event and we'd been surprised that a booking was still available when we checked the afternoon off the gig. It appears that every request had been accepted, we arrived to a packed restaurant and apparent chaos. However, despite a bit of a delay, everyone who didn't give up was greeted with a smile, found a table, and fed well in good time to head to the arena.

1 of many visits but we visited Bengal Brasserie tonight before going to the arena to see Disney on ice with our little girl! I cannot fault this beautiful restaurant, gorgeous food and fantastic service! The staff are so lovely, cannot do enough for you and are always happy! The restaurant is lovely and clean and plates etc are cleared away so quickly. I would highly recommend this place ! Thank you again Bengal Brasserie, until next time 😃 x

We visited last night for my partners Birthday, we were served promptly by the polite staff and the food was brought to us in good time and was delicious, would recommend as its well worth the walk from the centre of town as the staff are welcoming and its lovely as quiet. Price was also excellent for a city centre venue! Would absolutely recommend!

Ordered via uber eats, have used a few times always been brilliant,tonight though whatever chef you have on tonight sack them the food was bland, watered down not barbecued at all including the naan bread also wrong item sent absolutely inedible.

This was the first time I've been here but definitely won't be the last everything was prefect from the time of entering to leaving, the staff were excellent, the food was the best curry I've ever had in Leeds, so tasty from the pickle tray, to the starter, and then the main course, and plenty of food on the dish as well and the kingfisher larger was so smooth and refreshing, and would like to thank the lady who I think was the manageress for the complimentary drinks top marks all round 10 out of 10

5 of us had a curry on a Friday night. Booked a table got greeted at the door and offered drinks whilst we waited a couple of minutes for our table . Shortly after being served got shown our table wonderfully laid out. Didn’t order starters but our poppadoms and pickle tray came exceptionally quick. Our mains were followed in reasonable time. All in all it was great experience and wonderful food. Would recommend to anyone. Lovely staff and great food 👍

We had a very nice meal ; in particular the Lamb Handi was 5 stars. Nann was sadly only 3 stars ; it needed more tandoori oven time. Apart from that it was very good. Great customer service

Me and my wife went for her birthday. The food is 5*, so much so we had to take it home with us. The potion sizes are well worth the money you pay. Best Indian me and my wife have had in an age!! We will defo be back as the services was 5 * too.

I had a chicken tikka masala and it was more like a korma with not much flavour at all. My girlfriends was luke warm and not very fresh at all and both of us had chicken which was very dry even with the sauce. Naan...

Early midweek evening when we are there, so was quite quiet. Unable to comment on other times though as I have no experience of them. The service was really good, without being overly attentive. A good and unusual selection of curries offered on the wide ranging menu. For a Leeds city centre eatery the prices were very reasonable.

I order from Uber really terrible everything was bad no taste naan was over done horrible packing . Curry and panner tikka was really bad no taste at all .

The food was ok, starters are much better than the mains. The service was horrid, one server was insulting us simple because he didn’t know us personally and aren’t involved in the community. He made us super uncomfortable and kept insulting us saying how we aren’t educated or brought up right since we’re not in the community. Made the whole experience unpleasant, won’t be going back.

Great service, excellent value, perfect food, very clean and beautiful restaurant. If there was only one thing it was slighty too warm in the resturant but that was just my personal opinion. Otherwise the visit was faultless and I would definitely go back.

I love going here with my partner. The food is amazing and the service is excellent. The owner is very kind and offers great service, even giving me an umbrella in order for me to go outside in the rain.

Great food but the korma is quite spicy, should be available milder. We weren't asked if our food was okay or if we needed more drinks, and instead of paying at the table, we were told to go to the bar. Previous reviews state that you get less attention if you're not ordering alcoholic drinks, which seemed to be true sadly.

To be honest, a bit of a disappointment. I expected great things after reading reviews and visiting other Bengal Brasseries around Leeds. We'd booked a table for four but it wasn't available on arrival, so we were asked to get a drink from the bar. After ordering drinks, we asked if we we could add the bill to our table. The server said it would make a their life easier if we just paid straight away. We replied that it would actually be easier for us to add to the table bill and left it at that. Not a great start. A table became available and we were seated. Food then came quite quickly, with starters being delivered before we'd had chance to finish the poppadoms and pickle tray. All seemed a bit rushed. Food was generally OK. Starter was fine (Tandoori Mixed Kebab) but my main Chicken Bhuna served medium had no heat to it. Obviously subjective, but I'd have classed it as very mild. At the end of the meal, no pleasantries asking how the meal was, would you like desert/coffee. Just the bill placed on the table. The waitress then brought the next tables bill too. It seemed fairly obvious they wanted to get us out so they could get more punters in. We were asked to pay at the bar if using a card. Despite numerous attempts the card machine wouldn't work (their problem, not the card) so we ended up having to pay using cash. We thought we'd chosen well for this year's Christmas meal, but will be crossing off the list for next year. In summary, food fine but service etc rough around the edges.

Food superb (as always) and the manager dealt so nicely with our very over tired 3 year old who had a big tantrum. Came over, helped calm him and miraculously he was sat eating happily within 5 mins. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for curry in...

Really disappointed! We were a party of four, 2 adults, 2 children, waiters were more interested in the alcohol drinkers. Tables around us, who had arrived after us, got much quicker service even after we had told staff we had a show booked at First Direct Arena! Watch out for the little old lady in the sari, schmoozing all the drunk men parties & enticing them into buying more drinks - it was shameful to watch! Will not be visiting ever again.

I ordered food from here from Uber eats in which I paid for online. My food did not turn up even though the restaurant gave my order to the Uber driver. I called Bengal Brassier and the lady who owned the place was so helpful...
