As a vegan who eats in here occasionally with vegetarian and meat eating mates, their jackfruit masala is on another planet. Everyone I know that's tried it cannot believe it's vegan and so incredibly nice. I've eaten in several times and had the odd Uber Eats delivery, the most recent one just being chips, bread and rice with no jackfruit or masala (just a dry triple carb). It was a huge disappointment as I only get this as the occasional treat. Being told to "contact Uber", an invisible USA firm was a real kick in the teeth. Do better than this please.

Delicious food - amazing curry, rice, and naan! We also had dessert and that was equally as delicious. Our server was very attentive and helpful!

Small little place near the railway station and in town but can be easily missed. Convenient for travellers and shoppers. Anyone craving Indian food then this is a place to go. Enjoyed the bhalla papdi chaat, mango lassi and cholay bhatura. The bhatura was very thick but in all good. I was treated to a gulab jamun and must say was delicious. It hit the spot

After having heard about this establishment from friends, I must say it's a real hidden gem deserving of every award it's won, the lamb dishes we had, the kubani ka gosht and lamb Roganjosh were amazing, really tender and flavourful, the fish starter with the crab, white fish and prawn with dates and figs was a new experience for me, so delicious and the staff have been so friendly, I would highly recommend this delightful find, highly recommend, will be returning again 😊

What a little gem of a place. One of the best Indian meals I've had in a very long time. We had Afghani Lamb chops ,and Samundari goulash Kebab for starters, the lamb was well flavoured and tender. The kebab which was a seafood dish was packed with flavours and so sweet it was a real surprise. For mains we both had a lamb dish again the lamb was tender and cooked to perfect and full of flavours. Lamb Rogan Josh and Kubani ka goshht both highly recommend. But the best surprise was the sweet, something you don't usually see. Shahi Tukda, brioche bread soaked in a saffron infused milk with chopped walnuts. Wow. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.

Visited for dinner on a busy Saturday evening, food was excellent with a good choice. Particularly enjoyed the chilli chicken and chilli paneer starters, mains good quality and vey tasty too. Tables a bit close together,good service, bill was £72 for 2 courses for 2 with 3 drinks and service added on. Didn’t like the bottled water on every table, we declined it and got tap water.

One of the bad experience I have … we are four people there and when we entered they just said fait for few minutes outside and we wait around 5-10 minutes . The food come really slow . And also the staff members are too rude .

I noticed a recommendation from someone on a Leeds Vegans/veggies page. I planned for a family meet up just before Christmas and, because two out of the 4 are Vegan this was ideal as there are plenty of Vegan options. The food was lovely, there was plenty of choice and the staff were great. I felt they really understood about catering for Vegans which in many other places is tricky. We all enjoyed the food and the experience. Highly recommend (and thats coming from one very fussy Bradfordian when it comes to curries)!

Such a lovely little indian gem in Leeds. I am so happy we found this restaurant and I can't wait to come back. They have a great choice of indian food in main menu, but very good lunch menu too, with everything under 10. It was hard to decide what to order, honestly I would like to try everything. Food we ordered was so authentic and full of flavours, pure heaven in your mouth. All together with mango lassi it was a blast. The place is small with nice atmosphere and attentive staff, they asked how spicy we want a food and came twice to make sure everything is ok. Delhi Wala Food is definitely one of my favourite restaurant in Leeds.

Ordered this after a long trip to pick up from the restaurant under the station. The Chicken 65 Chaat (even take-away) is one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten. The Shyam Savera is great too—especially good choice for vegetarians! Beautiful delicate flavours.

Went for the first time last night and was very impressed. Simply surroundings with a very warm welcome from the owners and staff. The food was exceptional and very enjoyable evening meal was had by me and my family. They were celebrating their 2nd year in business and long may they continue to. We chose Delhi Wala Food to celebrate my birthday evening, and it turned out to be a fantastic decision! The quality of the food was exceptional, and the warm hospitality of the staff made us feel truly welcome. Every dish we ordered was outstanding, easily one of the best we've had in Leeds so far.

Me and my GF live in the city centre and had heard of this place for a number of years before we moved in. You can smell the place before you see it, in the best possible way - the food smells fantastic (even down the street!). I finally visited with a mate of mine after a few pints and promised I’d come back with my better half, sober this time just to be sure ;). The food is the best Indian / south Asian food in Leeds and up there with the best curry I’ve had l. We ordered the Chicken 65 Chaat, absolutely beautiful and tastes even better than it looks: sweet, a little spicy and the chunks of chicken are to die for. We mopped up the remaining sauce with some of the best onion banji I’ve ever had. The mains were just as good, chicken was speasoned beautifully and was tender and fresh. Breads and rice were super tasty too! The staff are incredibly attentive. They ask how hot you’d like your food at point of order and check in to make sure that it’s to your taste. I also witnessed them giving recommendations to customers who hadn’t visited before or didn’t know what to order. Drinks are flowing if that’s your thing (it’s defo mine) and they have a decent booze menu. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcoming upon arrival, were very helpful throughout the meal (without being over bearing) and each thanked us for our patronage when we left. We were the first in the restaurant (6:30 Ona Friday in Jan) but after 15 mins the place was packed out. The music and atmosphere was lovely and made us feel right at home. There’s a reason this place is constantly busy, it’s fantastic and will soon be Leeds worst kept secret. Get in there while you still can!! Amazing food, great staff and a wonderful atmosphere 5/5 get there as soon as you can.

A little gem of an old Delhi style restaurant for those that know, appreciate and can discern about authentic Indian street fayre. Food is beautifully presented and portions are generous. We ordered the non-veg platter to share - the lamb chops were melt-in-mouth and the butterfly prawns tasted as though they were caught that morning. If you’re not planning to visit Leeds, come, if only just for this experience.

Truly 5 star restaurant. Had their Achari Tikka, Hyderabad Biryani, Paneer Tikka Masala and chats. Taste was superb and service was quick and delightful. They gave us a desert and loved the gesture. I would recommend trying this place.

Authentic Indian Street Food Experience We recently had Indian street food, which is a common delight back home in India but quite challenging to find authentically in the UK. In Cornwall, it’s especially hard to come across good, authentic Indian food like what you’d get in Delhi Wala. Since moving to Leeds, we were thrilled to discover this place! The quality and quantity of the food are excellent, the presentation is impressive, and the prices are quite reasonable. I highly recommend trying their Aloo Tikki, which is absolutely delicious, and their Masala Fries, which are also worth a try. The staff is incredibly friendly, especially with kids, which adds to the overall experience. A special thanks to Mr. V, the manager, who is very kind and a truly good man. We accidentally forgot our children's water bottles, and he followed us to hand them back—such a thoughtful gesture! The server lady was also very kind, polite, and attentive, making our visit even more enjoyable. We will definitely visit again and 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a real taste of Indian street food! Regards Vis.

The food was really disappointing. We ordered their Golgappe samosa chat potato stuffed parantha and onion salad. The parantha was the worst I have ever had. The dough was very thick and not at all soft. The golgappe was pretty average and The samosa chaat was the only saving grace. Don’t even bother ordering the onion salad cos there is literally no effort put into it, pretty much a scam in the name of salad.

Delhiwala was amazing! The lamb Rogan Josh and Paneer Tikka Masala were packed with flavor, and the Rasmalai took me straight back to India. A must-visit for a real taste of home!
