First visit for a family get together. Fabulous service. Wonderful food and plenty of choices. Excellent thank you

Really disappointed in this restaurant. We were really looking forward to having a lovely meal with our friends. Our starters arrived, mine was inedible, the others were not enamoured by their starters. Then we waited and waited and waited ….. for our main courses and after an hour and 20 minutes we decided we had waited long enough and paid for our starters and left. The restaurant seemed very short staffed and really wasn’t a pleasant environment to enjoy a meal out. We will definitely not be returning.

Grameem is authentic and delicious. Good value and nice people. We are regulars.

5* Service was brilliant, really nice lads and looked after us. 4* The curry was really nice but the chicken was long strips and awkward to eat with chapattis. I'm used to "Bradford" style curries so might be something I've not come across. 4* for atmosphere some of the music was a bit obnoxious but honestly didn't ruin the night or anything. Going to go back again it's now on my list. Edit: went back again 6 months later. Chicken issue has gone away. Just normal pieces. Also the music wasn't too bad this time. So more than happy to keep going. Attached photos are from this second visit.

El mejor curry que he probado. Excelente personal y excelente ambiente de comida excelente. Todo sobre este lugar era excelente. No puedo decir nada más que mantener el buen trabajo.

Food was nice, service was a bit disorganised as servers had to be reminded to bring certain items. Still nice meal/environment regardless.

He estado aquí un par de veces con diferentes combinaciones de personas incluyendo amigos y familiares y he tenido una buena experiencia cada vez. Esta noche no fue la excepción. La comida es buena, el servicio es muy atento y cálido (a mi acompañante esta noche no le gusta demasiada especia y el camarero fue muy servicial en guiarnos por el menú para opciones). Si fuera muy exigente diría que la comida era un poco demasiado larga viniendo de la cocina, pero lo bajaría a un restaurante ocupado un sábado por la noche cocinando a partir de fresco y por encargo, y este pequeño problema no fue suficiente para poner mella en una calificación de 5 estrellas. Solo he probado sus platos tradicionales de curry indio británico (Jalfrezi y Biryani, por ejemplo), pero el menú tiene un montón de platos interesantes de Bangladesh y otros que espero tener una oportunidad en el futuro.

Wow este lugar cumple en todos los niveles. Pedido la especialidad Grameen ‘Grameen Jalfreezi’ pidió extra picante y fue pero lo más importante es que el sabor todavía estaba allí. El mejor curry que he probado. Hubby consiguió Pollo Balti y fue impresionado. Pero no solo la comida es excepcional, también lo es el precio. No puedo esperar a volver

i came here with my boyfriend for my birthday yesterday and it was absolutely amazing the waitor Alam was amazing and you don’t even pay a service fee at the end like most places, despite the server being on the ball constantly there to help, this guy place is better than any restaurants i’ve been to before. the food was immaculate and i’ve came back time and time again because it’s my favourite restaurant. i would 100% recommend to anyone who enjoys indian cuisine, it’s very authentic and the workers are respectful and the food is always on point

Throughout the night the service was immaculate, in particular the waiter Alam was amazing. He was lovely throughout the night providing us a great experience. The food was in itself delicious, authentic and very fresh, would thoroughly recommend. We’ve come back multiple times and the quality of the food and service has been consistently excellent.

Not been in to the restaurant so can't comment on the atmosphere. But ordered from there two times now. The food is absolutely banging and I would highly recommend it. Alam's recommendation of an onion bhaji with the Grameen Jalfrezi was an excellent choice. Top marks.

An absolute gem of a restaurant. Really varied choice and each of the dishes we tried were really tasty - Lucknow lamb chops were our favourite. Really friendly staff and a nice atmosphere as well!

Second week running weve been there. The staff are really helpful really friendly and the food is fantastic superb value for money. Be back there again next week cant give a better recommendation than that.

Pretty new to the area and thought we would give this place a try. It was our first time ever ordering from this restaurant and what can we say... The food was delivered really quick and the guy who delivered it was really polite and friendly and the food tasted great! I ordered a chicken dish while my partner ordered a vegetarian dish and both tasted fantastic. Will definitely be ordering from here again!

Best by far , I’ve travelled lots finding new places this is by far my new number one place , friendly , helpful , caring , food outstanding if I must say , I’ve passed so many times , but stopped to try for first time last week and will return non stop and promote this place , the only thing pointed out by one of the tenants was it could do with maybe lamps on tables and decor on walls , maybe trees with lights to make it feel more inviting and cozy , but will not stop us coming back , food outstanding on both visits , highly recommend this place for sure

Got tandoori mixed grill. Never had tandoori chicken that has come looking like grilled chicken. It should be red. Where’s the flavour?! I got chicken shashlick as well and it tastes exactly the same as the tandoori chicken. They may only have one sauce - plain sauce. I’ll upload a pic of their tandoori and how one should look. Can tell just from pictures it’s flavourless. So annoying when you’re starving and looking forward to some nice food and it’s just bland. The lamb chops are even worse.

Second time I have visited to sit in, although I've had plenty of take aways! And as usual the food was exquisite. Grameens may only look small from the outside but the food is the best I've ever had. There is an extensive menu with plenty of authentic dishes to try (also the usual Indian dishes are available). I've tried numerous and everyone has been delicious. Today's visit was no different. Both dishes we had were amazing, so much flavour and taste and the right sized portion. The onion bhajis are divine! Homemade, crispy and the tastiest sauce to go with them. I honestly couldn't recommend Grameen more and the gent running the restaurant is second to none. Couldn't do enough for us, so friendly and welcoming. If you haven't been to visit then go. This has to be one of the best restaurants in Leeds. Thank you!

Not ordered for a while been trying to be good but it did not disappoint. Lovely hot tasty food delivered on time with a smile. Even brought our daughter popodoms and mint sauce. Cannot fault Grameen at all great food great service 👍

Tried for the first time last night and it was absolutely beautiful to the point where I wanted to order it again a few hours later..the coconut rice was absolutely sublime,Karahi chicken,bombay potatoes and a garlic naan was perfection..Honestly cannot wait to order from here again.

Low quality food. Ordered takeaway from here for the first and last time. Lamb tika starter was like rubber - very tough and poor quality cuts, so much so it was inedible. The speciality curry was bland and chicken also slightly tough. The keema naan was just OK. Disappointing and do not recommend.

Hassle-Free booking over the phone 24 hours before; nothing was too much during our dining experience Group of 6. nice relaxed atmosphere, starters came out piping hot & prompt. Our curries were lovely, Tikka Masala, Korma, Lamb Rogan Josh, nothing apart from praise. Garlic Naan, Pickle Trays, Poppadoms, Lamb Samosas top drawer. Will definitely be back. Accommodating Staff at Grameen March 2024.

I've been here a couple of times now and enjoyed both occasions. Last night, I came with my family and boyfriend to celebrate my securing a new job. The service was fantastic and food delicious. We had a couple of sharing platters to start with. The Curries we selected were delicious and the mild ones were actually mild which is always a bonus! Bring your own drinks policy which is always fantastic.

Been coming regularly to Grameen's, every six weeks, for a number of years now and it is excellent every single time.  Always warmly greeted on arrival by Iqbal and Allam  - only problem is deciding what to have on each visit as we've probably gone through the entire menu at least a couple of times.  Yes, we have our favourites which are well catered for here but there are also other dishes available here that you do not often see elsewhere.  Absolutely worth the 30 minute walk there and back home and can not recommend highly enough. Go and try for yourself - we are sure Grameen's will become a firm favourite just like it is for us.

Walked in place was freezing service was very slow!! Was only people in there! Starters took ages portions minute very small! Took ages to clear plates then waited an hour for our mains while 4 people came in for takeaway and got their food!!! No communication or anything about delay Told manager was leaving and did not even apologize or anything didn't seem bothered ! Very disappointed don't know how any good reviews which I why I went!! Won't go again! One couple walked out after sitting and waiting ages freezing, not long after we left leaving one poor couple on valentines night to probably wait an eternity for their food n probably spoil their night wouldn't mind but place was empty! Seems they are only bothered about takeaway as that's only people that got their meals!!! Please don't reply saying u are sorry it didn't meet your usual standards and to look for your special offers on website as I wouldn't dream about coming back and judging by the tiny average starters glad I didn't spend the nearly 100 pounds I was going to!!!! People saying it's a gem must not know a curry!

Brilliant food tonight ... so tasty . Excellent value for money as you can bring your own drinks. The waiter was really friendly nothing too much trouble at all . We were not waiting long for the food and didn't feel at all rushed. Really nice cosy atmosphere. I highly recommend the chicken chom chom balti. 10 out of 10.

We are regulars at Grameen when we want a quick nice curry. A really lovely local business. Knocked a star off as at peak times it can be really loud in there but I guess it's just everyone enjoying their food. Best pickle tray around, crispy garlic naan and flavoursome curries. Never been let down.

We ordered a take out not ordered from here before. Unfortunately we won’t be ordering again the chicken had been reheated it was dry and stringy it was inedible sadly. The naan was rubbery. All in all extremely poor.

Best new year meal, service was spot on and the food was perfect, lovely atmosphere and lovely touch with the desserts, can’t wait to come again and thank you for a lovely night

I’ve only really been a couple of times, but as of last night I’ve realised it is almost certainly the best curry house in the local area, and will be visiting a lot more. Food absolutely fantastic and the staff are brilliant.

Just moved to the area so tried this curry house, was not disappointed, lovely staff delicious food and fair pricing, I recommend.

Food was 10/10, was all delicious. We had various naans, rices, tikka masala, Korma and karahi. Staff friendly and you get a hot towel and a complimentary spoonful dessert before paying the bill. Best Indian I’ve had in years. Will be going back again.

Greeted by the owner, very pleasant. Led in to sit down. Nice neutral decor. Quite warm Recently visited Grameens nr Huddersfield with close friends. Were told about this one in Horsforth. As we only live quarter of a mile we decided to try it. Really enjoyed it, food was very tasty, not too spicy. Wonderful flavours. Some unusual dishes. Highly recommend to anyone. Called as advised by namesake at Ainley top. Since very local Horsforth, decided to pop down. Overall all impressions very good. Parking nxt door. Easy. Warm. Decor. Very personable greeting and attention. Obviously concerned and proud of their place and quality. I had a sea platter starter and samosas with my wifes main course. Mine delicious, wonderful, not full of salt or excess heat to mask bland content . Cooked beautifully. Onions tender, sizzler, soft (hate raw onion chucked on) fish perfectly cooked. Samosa crisp large full. Going back nxt week with my son. Try more fish dishes. My wife had 2 mouthfuls of her main course, (Isfahani palong motor) said "I'd come back just for this" . Pleasant chatter, discussion and appreciation of food from the 2 gentlemen there. Give it a go. M. & J.

Everything was fantastic. Best curry we've had in ages, the staff were friendly and great service. Bring your own drinks which makes it even better value than it already is. We didn't realise at first, but there's a shop two minutes up the street which sells a good range of wine and beer, which is really convenient. Will definitely be going back.

The service is so friendly and warm. The food is 10/10 and for the price is unbelievable value. We also receive a small complimentary dessert after our meal which was a really nice touch. I would really recommend this restaurant, 10/10!

This place is a gem. The food is so fresh and the flavours perfectly balanced. The atmosphere is friendly and warm and the staff/owner’s accommodating and welcoming. I honestly can’t praise this place highly enough. We’ve recently turned veggie and the options are excellent . The meat dishes we’ve had previously were really high standard ingredients.

Amazing! So glad to have found this place. Tried for the first time this week and it was so good I’ve ordered again three days later. Old town style special and chicken Bhuna were both so tasty!

Lovely meal! The staff were wonderful. They catered for my request of a paneer tikka masala even though it was not on the menu which was amazing and it was delicious. Loved the special touches of hot towels and the small dessert with the bill. Thanks for a great meal, we will be back!

Just had a takeaway delivered, trying this curry house for the first time time. Lamb Jalfrezi for me and Chicken Tikka Masala for my son. Good, rich flavours and plenty of spice in the Jalfrezi. Mixed meaty starters were good too. Arrived slightly before the estimated time and no delivery charge. Will definitely use again 🙂

Been using these for years however I will never ever be able to go back now as the food we had we found a large number of hairs in in addition to my child's choice of meat with my choice of sauce and vice versa. Didn't bother to call them just vowed to avoid avoid avoid.

Very cold building and the food was average. Not the worst I've had but not the best. Front of house were lovely though and couldn't do enough for you.

A group of 6 visit to this BYO restaurant. Staff really helpful with all questions about the menu. Restaurant is comfortable, clean, tidy and has parking. Food and service was excellent with a good selection. Will definitely go back

An amazing meal with my mum, we ordered the mixed grill to start and garlic chilli lamb and jalfrezi for mains absolutely perfect. Highly recommend lovely staff and gave perfect amount of time between courses. My mum said she didnt want the curry too spicy and they accommodated to her liking. Highly recommend the garlic chilli lamb. Will be returning very soon. Thank you so much for looking after us.

Great curry and service. We've had takeaway from here a few times which is always good, but decided to eat in for the first time last night. Although it was quiet (Sunday night), it had a warm atmosphere. We had quick service and a very friendly waiter who taught us how to make Lassi at home! Excellent food, would recommend.

Hidden Gem - We had a fantastic time at Grameen. We have always wanted to try here since moving to Horsforth - especially with the good reviews. It is BYOB, but this adds to the experience. Food was brilliant, service was excellent and we left a generous tip with the plan to return again soon. Wholly recommend!

First time we have been and it won’t be the last, really good service and excellent quality of food, the Peshwari Naan was one of the best I’ve tasted in a long time, light, fluffy just so lovely. I had the spicy grameen curry which was beautiful. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Had a takeaway and it was delicious, staff very friendly upon collection too. Will be visiting in person soon for sure.

After seeing and ordering (thanks to the review,) “Best Indian takeaway Ive had in years” I feel compelled to make a comment. For me it was BY FAR the worst and bitterly disappointing as ordered for a special occasion. Had it been in restaurant and NOT a takeaway I would have refused to pay the bill.

Really delicious food. A great menu, including plenty of vegetarian options. I was surprised (and very pleased!) to see more than one type of dal on the menu, and the one I got was a real cut above lentil dishes I've had elsewhere. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We'll be back!

Amazing find. Very friendly restaurant - the gentleman that served us was really pleasant and attentive, and the service was spot on. What really set it apart though was the food - the menu had a huge range of specials as well as all the traditional dishes, and all three of us were extremely impressed with our meals which were top quality. Would definitely come here again.

I've found a new Curry House! Simply amazing, the best curry I've had in a long time. The meals I've tasted are an experience to eat as you can taste every flavor and not one over powers another. You have to try this place!

Well worth a visit…. My Wife and I have just dined here. A pleasure from arriving to departing. Two lovely Gentlemen at front of house and great food. I ordered a chicken karahi, garlic naan, portion of chips, and mint sauce. I asked for delivery only to find out it's £15 min delivery however I'm literally 1 min in a car up the road to latchmere drive but couldn't drive as I had a few beers, order was refused so I won't be using them or recommending them ever.

New Year's Eve, a treat from a friend. Hadn't been since it was called Golden Gate which closed all those years ago. Very impressed. Take your own booze though, so give 4 stars. Meals were excellent, great service Will deffo go again
