We ordered saffron mutton biryani, fish pakora, lamb chops, creamy chicken balti, and garlic chilli balti, and everything was packed with flavour. The saffron mutton biryani was aromatic and well-seasoned, and the fish pakora had a lovely crispy texture, and not oily like so many others. Both baltis were rich with flavour and had a great kick of spice. The lamb chops were tasty, with a marinade that had the perfect level of heat, but unfortunately, they were a bit tough. Also their peshwari naan was odd with pineapple on it and no coconut whatsoever. Not a fan at all. Overall, it was a delicious meal with just a small letdown. We’ll definitely consider ordering again!

To say this is a restraint I would expect it to be better quality and tastier than the local takeaway but I was wrong. Found a large chunk of cartilage in my chicken, pilau rice wasn’t nice and in general just not a nice curry. Glad it was 40% rather than full price

I had to go and pick the food up even though I paid a delivery charge.

The order was placed at 7.34 and arrived at 22.40 it was all cold I was told at 9.10 the order would be half an hour it turned up an hour and half later 3 hours and 5 minutes after it was ordered

Great family run restaurant and take away. We have always had takeaways but the owner said they were open over Xmas so we decided to try it! In the middle of Horsforth park it's quite unusual an unassuming 60's building. On a foggy Boxing Day eve the light and warm welcome was lovely. The food and service is excellent and with this family feel comes care and attention to the quality of the food and ensuring curries are to the right spice for all diners. The decor is clean and simple, no frills just comfy chairs and a cool light you press orange when ready to order. Its value for money as its alc free menu but everyone Brought their own alc, with no corkage fee it takes the sting out of a lot of restaurant meals with drinks adding up! The dessert in a coconut shell was very novel and with larger groups, small families like us everyone is welcome. A very unique settting, with excellent food and a warm sense of family hospitality that can't be taught!

En medio del parque Horsforth es bastante inusual un edificio de los 60. En un día de boxeo nebuloso la luz y cálida bienvenida fue encantadora. La comida y el servicio es excelente y con esta sensación familiar viene el cuidado y la atención a la calidad de la comida y asegurar que los curry son la especia adecuada para todos los comensales. La decoración es limpia y simple, sin lujos solo sillas cómodas y una luz fría que presiona naranja cuando está listo para ordenar. Su relación calidad-precio como su menú libre de alc, pero cada uno trajo su propio alc, sin cargo por descorche le quita el aguijón a un montón de comidas de restaurante con bebidas sumando! El postre en una cáscara de coco era muy novedoso y con grupos más grandes, familias pequeñas como nosotros todos son bienvenidos. Un entorno muy único, con excelente comida y un cálido sentido de hospitalidad familiar que no se puede enseñar!

Christmas Day 2024. And so glad we came. Brilliant menu and outstanding service from start to finish. These guys were on it! Only one mission in mind from them was for us to have a good time. We certainly did, didn’t feel rushed, felt so welcome, everything was given attention to. I haven’t experienced customer care like this in a long time. What a treat it was for the chef to introduce himself to us all and for us to thank him too for making out Christmas feast so delicious: we will be back …. For my birthday in march!!

Thought I'd review after several good meals here over the last 6 months...most recently for my birthday last Sunday evening (group of 6). Good food with very friendly and helpful staff. Chef is father of the maitre d'. Bring your own alcohol...corkscrews available. Will be returning for more in future.

There was no Salad with this and no mint yogurt or mango chutney. I asked for extra saucy in the main dish and was dry. Extremely disappointed.

What a find! From the outside it looks like a sports pavilion in the middle of a park. Inside the decor immediately tells you that this place is special. The attention given by the staff was exemplary. The food was superb, some of the best I’ve ever had, and the family naan was awesome. I would recommend going for some of the “chef’s specials” as these are unique and different from any other restaurant. Highly recommended and we shall definitely be back next time we are in Leeds.

Tried this place for the first time as we've always been fascinated by it's location in Horsforth Park. We really enjoyed it, the restaurant is nice and spacious so we felt relaxed and calm and the waiter was so nice, very professional and welcoming. The food was good and we enjoyed the butter chicken and korma, freshly cooked. We came out of there stuffed and very happy with the quality of service. Definitely going back there in future.

I really wanted to like this having heard so much about it. Sorry to say that the curry tasted like one you can make at home with a pataks paste. Honestly didn't enjoy it. The chicken was very chewy too and I had to spit quite a bit of it out. The portions were tiny and the whole thing was a bit overpriced. Sadly I wouldn't order again. My curry on its own over £12 and was served in a smaller sized foil tray. Given this and the fact that it was mostly inedible I would say it was vastly overpriced

What a lovely place. We stopped here on our way to Leeds Bradford airport (only 10mins away) and the food was amazing. The staff were really friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend you come here. BYO.

Ameens are my favourite Indian. The food is always beautiful and piping hot when it arrives. You can tell these guys actually care about the quality of their food. It's always fresh and just delicious. I have been to their restaurant too and they are just the nicest people. They care about their customers and pride themselves on being a family run restaurant/takeaway. They will always ring you too if there is an issue with the food which is rare. I honestly can not recommend them enough 😄

I honestly can not praise these guys enough. Me and my partner have got takeaway from these guys and have dined in. Regardless of how we order, the service is the same. We are treated like family and the food is always fresh, made exactly how we ordered, and piping hot. The guys who run this place are just amazing. It is family run and done with so much love and pride in their product. Honestly give these guys a try, you will not be disappointed

100% RECOMMEND! WOW! Where do i even start! If i could give 10 stars i would! Firstly, when we arrived we was impressed with the interior of the restaurant! It has been decorated to a very high standard and you can tell alot of effort & thought has gone into the creation of this beautiful cuisine! The fact this is a small family run business makes this review all the more worth while! They really deserve the credit! We was going to order for home delivery as our son has sensory issues and does not like loud environments but i am glad we changed our mind and went to the restaurant as the atmosphere was perfect! He even ate all his food which is very rare! The food itself was an absolute 10 out of 10! We are a family of 5 so we do like to order a few different dishes! We would highly recommend the chicken tikka masala & the lamb karahi! (The lamb literally melted in the mouth) We also loved the mixed starter! The dishes are very generous but i would definitely order more just to try the different tastes! Very authentic & traditional and tasted like home cooked food! We also want to mention the small details of having a warm cloth for each of us brought to the table after our food! The small details with this restaurant are what makes it unique! We loved the fact it was based in a quiet location away from all the noise big restaurants usually have. This makes this restaurant extra special! We have ate at some very high end and expensive restaurants and we would definitely say this is on the top of our list of favourites! VERY IMPRESSED! Worst Indian food I’ve ever had.

Had food from you many times and its definitely not as value for money as it was. The lamb chops are getting smaller with less meat and my meat vindaloo dish only had a few bits of meat in it, the rest was sauce. Not sure we will be returning as this is just getting worse from a decent meal when we first ordered to this is very disappointing.

Food absolutely tasty and hot and portions perfect everything cooked to perfection

Onion bahji were hard it was like chewing cardboard . Both curries we couldn’t tell the difference between them even though one was a bhuna and other was masala . Pilau rice was brown ,parts of it was stuck together and it tasted like salt . Wouldn’t recommend based on this experience

This is our favourite restaurant and takeaway. We visit every 6 weeks or so, and choose to come here for birthday meals too. The food is delicious. There are many vegan dishes on the menu. Our favourites are the Veggie Balti Special and the Kidney Bean curry. Our children love the chips here, best chips in Leeds! Over the last four years we have come to know Aman well and he feels like a friend now. He always makes us feel so welcome, and nothing is too much trouble. He accomodates our family’s needs so well, as we ask to come early as soon as they open so it’s not busy (our children are autistic and prefer a quieter environment). The restaurant is clean and stylish and the toilet facilities are pleasant too. We have had many a takeout from here too and the quality is just as good as when dining in the restaurant. Overall we wholeheartedly recommend Ameens as a fantastic place to eat and have a good time.

Popped in for a quick curry. Our dishes were served fresh and hot (and spicey as advised). Restaurant area has been updated although as our host advised, not yet finished. If you like tasty, authentic Asian food give it a try, you might be surprised. Don't forget to BYO Beer or Wine. If you're not sure what to order ask your host, he's full of helpful suggestions.

Aman and the team are a class act. They welcome you with open arms. Their service second to none. Their food is delicious, wonderful, simply the best. We love going to Ameen’s, visit as often as we can, always for special occasions. Our it’s all our family’s favourite, from Grandma to our two boys 4 and 6. Beautiful setting in Horsforth Hall Park. We went here for the first time yesterday. The food, service and surroundings were excellent. I'd recommend taking the short stroll through the park to try this place out if you haven't already.

I ordered for 7pm but it didn't arrive until 7.30. the starters were a bit dry and bland, especially the onion bhaji. The currys were nice but the tikka masala (ordered creamy) was too spicy.

First time ordering from here. 40% off which was great. The food was very nice. Larger portion sizes would be better but will order again.

We went on a Friday evening in a large group (15) and the whole experience was fantastic. They were so accommodating for every one of us (including 4 children). I've just had food delivered from Ameen's for the first time. It was way better than anything I've had locally before. The delivery driver, who I suspect was not only the driver encouraged me to leave a review, even if it was a bad one, so i'll start with the onion bhajis, which did not have the fresh crispness I like, and were quite compressed. However they tasted delicious and if I bought one to eat as a snack on the street I'd be really happy. my main course vegetable garlic balti was just sublime, clearly freshly cooked and not overcooked, with a garlic coriander naan where the coriander seemed like it had just been picked. my meat eating friend was very happy too. I will definitely become a regular. Easy five stars.

Don’t normally leave reviews but the guy specifically asked me to when dropping off. So I was expecting it to be really good, as it was expensive as well. But it was terrible; worst curry I’ve had in many years, probably ever. Everything is really poor quality. Onion Bajjees are like they were cheap ones bought from a supermarket. Chicken tikka was just takeaway kabbab chicken with red food colouring on it. Curry was really bad and way too salty. Pilau rice was the worst I’ve ever had. Would ask

We've been here twice recently and can't fault the place Its family run and you can tell the food is great the menu extensive and all served up by very attentive and friendly staff that can't do enough to make your visit a pleasant experience One of our party thought the fish curry was the best he's tried anywhere Its also take your own Alcohol which helps to keep the cost down that said the prices are very reasonable anyway Leave your car in the nearby Car Park of Horsforth Park and its just a short walk to a very nice meal Go and give it a try you won't be dissapointed

We've ordered from Ameen's before and the food was great. We ordered again this evening and while the food was good, the main dish was wrong - we ordered chicken biryani but received mixed biryani, which is a problem since my wife doesn't eat seafood or lamb. Too late to wait for a replacement so I picked out the protein she doesn't eat.

Brilliant family run business! Amazing, friendly and personal customer service by Ash and his brother, and gorgeous food by his father and assistant chefs all in a lovely refurbed decor setting in Horsforth park. Food tasted great, and there were plenty of it for the price, value for Money! Great that you can do bank transfer too as I hate having cash. We don’t go out for Indian food often but will deffo return!
