This is hands-down some of the best Indian food we've ever had. Really, really good. Outstanding in fact. I had the lamb bhuna with pilau rice and a peshwari naan. Absolutely beautiful. They even gave us a couple of complimentary little desserts with candles for our friend's birthday. Thank you guys, well done and please keep doing what you're doing.

Worst naan and worst curry and special the butter milk which is more taste like a water of pani puri not butter milk. You dont deserve this food when you are paying 85£ for 2 curry and 3 naan and a buttermilk. Worst experience and never visit this restaurant.

Too good for Indian Food Lovers. Their kitchen is no less than our own kitchen in India. Mr. Sourav is a wonderful host. I am regular to this restaurant.

We visited Indian Pakawan in Leeds on 21/09/24, having pre-booked a table for 19:00. We arrived a little early and were seated promptly. The start of the evening seemed promising—drinks were served reasonably quickly, and the popadoms with the pickle tray arrived shortly after. However, things quickly went downhill from there. We were ready to order, but it proved almost impossible to get a waiter's attention. The staff seemed focused on seating other guests, and despite multiple attempts to signal them, we were ignored. I eventually approached a waiter to ask if we could place our order, and he assured me that a colleague would be over shortly. Ten minutes later, we were still waiting. After more time passed, I went up again, and the waiter finally took our order along with another round of drinks. We thought this would be the end of the issue, but unfortunately, we were wrong. As time passed, it became clear that the service problems were affecting other tables too—guests were left waiting for drinks, menus, and attention. Some diners even decided to leave out of frustration. After waiting a significant amount of time, the waiter brought out warm plates, which we hoped meant the food was on its way. Ten minutes later, only our drinks arrived, despite the fact we'd ordered them with the food. When I asked about the food again, the waiter simply disappeared. After another five minutes of waiting, we gave up and left. The lack of communication was appalling. If they were experiencing issues in the kitchen, it would have been helpful to let us know. Instead, we were left waiting without any explanation or update. This was easily one of the most frustrating dining experiences I've had. I won't be returning and can't recommend it to others.

Booked last minute on the way to Leeds on a Saturday night as my family and I were in Leeds to drop off my son back at uni and saw the reviews on Trip Advisor. There was a slight mix-up with our booking and it was a very busy night but this was sorted and they made up a table for us within 10 mins. We made things simple by ordering Poppadoms/chutneys to start, then 4 x Chicken Tikka Masalas - with an amused smile from the very helpful waiter - , 2 x peshwari naans, 2 x garlic naans, 4 x basmati rice, plus lagers and Coke/mocktail for my teenaged children. From beginning to end, one of the best restaurant curries we have ever had; Poppadoms were super-fresh, piping hot and tasty, naans incredibly good, definitely the best I have ever tasted, pillowy, light with a delicious flavour, masalas fragrant, super-flavoursome and with complex flavours completely different to the usual, rice light, piping hot and perfectly cooked. The bill was also very reasonable, and less than we usually pay for similar dishes elsewhere. Just amazing - fabulous food, great prices, great restaurant.

Food taste was good, tried bhindi masala and dal fry. Both are good at taste. Must recommend. Staff and Service was wonderful 😊

We stumbled across this hidden gem, we we're all a little sceptical, but as we entered, we we're greeted by a lovely lady who seated us and brought the drinks menu, we had lamb buns and butter chicken, all I can say as we made our way to our event was WOW, I love curries but this was out of this world,will definitely be visiting again,thank you pakwaan.

The service was so slow and unprofessional that we left after waiting for nearly an hour. It was complete chaos amongst the staff that customers were getting up and leaving in frustration .

For me is one of the best Indian restaurants in Leeds and atmosphere there is amazing. Staff were incredible food is my most favourite part I usually have something I don’t like in all places I go this time I didn’t everything to was spot on. Me and my friend order chicken biryani , chicken tikka masala with garlic cheese nan , and finally we had for starter padi chaat . If you fancy authentic Indian definitely would recommend..

They are doing a bloody scam by putting fake image and price and claiming it as chicken tikka (platter) for 7.95 pounds meanwhile that dish really costs 19.95 pounds and they have uploaded that in their website and doesnt even justify that. The customer service was really arrogant and doesnt even consider it as their fault and does not value the customers who point it out. I am very disappointed with the response from the service team and the food management of the hotel.

Came last weekend l dont knoebhiw you guys get good reviews I was extremely disappointed with food me and my my enjoy the best of foods cost is irevalant but the paneer was not up to my wife's standards didnt create a fuss but thought ld leave a review and to have a bit four pieces of paneer is curry is extremely disappointing to say the least the nan was rubbery was told could have chosen chapati that's not the point a young vice Indian lad (SIKH ORIGIN )knows of the wuity we meant so just shows the people who know know . Well that's another one off our list .

Indian Palawan have the best Indian food I ever visited in Leeds my server Saurav was really helpful and kept looking everything is okay or no that was good highly recommend this restaurant for sure.

Really enjoyed our food here, portions are substantial and I actually couldn’t finish the naan! As a vegetarian there are a really decent amount of options as they have a large number of paneer based dishes. Service was fast and friendly and the price was reasonable.

Lovely meal. Curries and starters were brilliant. Lamb Shank curry was exceptional. Tandorri King Prawns also amazing. Only slight issue was the two lads on the floor were a bit over ran but not the end of the world. Well done guys! We’re from Hexham but we come to Leeds for a golf trip every year so we’ll see you next year!! 👍

My husband and I just had the loveliest meal at this restaurant and couldn’t be happier - or fuller! Every tiny thing was delicious and was prepared and presented with care. I had the Paneer Makhani and it was the nicest I’ve ever tasted, although it’s the dish I order most. I also tried the mojito mocktail and it was so nice I had two! Himself had the Butter Chicken with a side of Aloo Ghobi and barely spoke to me, he was so intent upon his delicious meal. We definitely needed a little walk afterwards, as the portions were as generous as the hospitality. Our family is likely going to be in Leeds again soon, and a return visit to Pakwaan is definitely on the itinerary. Thank you for making us so welcome, and for a truly memorable evening. ❤️

A fantastic little place with great food and excellent service. You could taste how fresh the ingredients were, layers of flavour and some new dishes to try beyond the usual fayre. Our waiter recommended the masala chips to use which were really tasty. Highly recommended

I live in East London and was only in Leeds for the night and chose this place as so much of the menu is gluten free. I had the best biriyani I've had in years. Hands down beats anything I've had in East London! Lovely...

Walking through Leeds on a Saturday walked into this place on a whim. Wonderful food, lovely service and gluten free too! Will be back next time we are in Leeds
