Very lovely meal for my Dad’s birthday. Was a last minute thing and got us a table no problem. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Very good feeling place to go. I was treated extremely nicely as I have a peanut allergy and couldn’t have been more careful, gave me a free Naan bread and communicated very well what I would be able to have. Had the pleasure of 5 free Bailey shots on the house too which was a nice way to end the evening. Thank you for a lovely evening

The best Indian food in Shrewsbury. Me and my partner have been going here for years and we've never been disappointed. Absolutely amazing food for a very reasonable price. Especially if you collect as they give you a discount with other freebies including salad, yoghurt, poppadoms and the best veggie spring rolls you'll ever taste. I love it here so much that a sit down Indian in a restaurant doesn't compare. I 100% recommend this establishment to anyone and the owner is such a kind gentleman too.

The food was delicious, really tasty, and delivered on time, and still hot. We had a range of lamb, chicken and veg dishes, they were beautifully prepared and the portions were very generous. Will definitely be back next time we're in the area, and would highly recommend.

In the area for the weekend at an Air B&B, not far away from this restaurant. Busy, but they fitted us in. Booked online no issues, table for 2. Seating wasn't great but we managed at a very busy time for them. Big birthday party on, but we still felt valued customers. Food was excellent. I had the sea bass starter, it was cooked to perfection and tasted out of this world. Portion sizes were great, I'm a big eater and didn't manage to eat it all. We had the set menu for £18.99, well worth it. Staff were great not over powering, there when we needed anything. Wouldn't hesitate to go again.

I have to say for a restaurant that has been given a restaurant winners prize for 2024 . and a restaurant I’ve used many times before I feel there losing there personality .there was no feeling of being made welcome, the wait for food was long and the staff just seemed more pre occupied asking if you wanted drinks and taking take away order .The food was ok but nothing to justify being the most expensive India restaurant in Bridgnorth/ restaurant. Definitely won’t be returning again poor job guys

Well what can you say about this Indian restaurant, totally superb! We have eaten in my Indian restaurants, but this one is on another level, food was out of this world, staff were super friendly from the moment we went in to the time we came out. Thank you so much shapla we had the best time ever, for sure we will be coming back. Mr and Mrs salter.

We have never said this before, but this was the best Indian meal we have ever eaten. In many Indian meals, the individual flavours are overwhelmed by the level of spice, but not at The Lamp. The flavours all come through. We had two dishes from the House Specialities; a minted lamb and chicken stuffed with vegetables. Both were excellent, as were the sauces that came with the poppadums. All the staff were friendly and very welcoming.

Up until recently I would have given them an excellent rating. I’ve ordered a lot and the food has generally been very good. However, before ordering for the first time I asked if they could make vegan dishes. They said basically order anything that’s vegetarian (with the obvious exception of things like tikka masala) and include a note for it to be vegan. This was great news. So since then we have ordered probably in excess of 20 times. However last time we ordered I got a phone call saying they cant make garlic naans vegan. They provided no explanation as to why they had been sending me garlic naans supposedly vegan all the other times. As you can imagine I was not very happy about this. The manager said he would check with the staff and get back in touch with me after the weekend with an explanation. He hasn’t. I no longer have any trust in this establishment and it’s quite concerning as if my experience is anything to go by, people with dietary requirements due to allergies or intolerances could be put at risk
