The Lamp in Shropshire

Got a takeaway this evening for me and my family , was delicious really good portion size and great value for money the guy that runs it is really nice guy , look forward to returning 👍🏻

The Tawa dishes are amazing (specially the king prawn) and the southern indian chili garlic chicken is to die for. good fast delivery no extra charge for delivery and quick super friendly on the phone and excellent portion size and quality - love it

We had a takeaway from here for 4 people. Good size portions and amazing flavours, and reasonable prices.

I made a order of South Indian garlic chilli chicken with keema naan and butter chicken, By far the best Indian food I had!! It was for my birthday. Thank you for making the occasion amazing guys. Everyone in the family loved it.

I use the Lamp on a regular basis being it’s near my house. Before it opened I used to drive to Bridgnorth to get a curry as nowhere else local compared to the Lamp. The menu is vast, food is tasty and is always hot. Never had a bad meal and the owner is very hospitable.

Food is always a 10/10 in my opinion The staff are great lads always pleasant And I’m not just saying this for a free curry with rice 😂 Try it from madras too masala 😋

We ordered takeaway food to be delivered to our home address in view of the Coronavirus lockdown restrictions and although the food was delivered almost a half an hour later than arranged I’ve got to say that the food was excellent and the portion sizes were generous. It was our first time ordering from the Lamp, but it certainly won’t be the last. Well impressed and a welcome addition to the villages takeaway options.

Three of us visited the Lamp this evening for a meal in the restaurant, which is cosy, clean and attractive. It is a great place to eat, serving a good range of Indian dishes. The service is friendly and relaxed. We began the meal with poppadums and sauces. My husband loved the Tandoori Mix Garlic Chilli Korahi and will definitely order it in the future. My son and I chose the Chicken Tikka Korma, which was substantial and very tasty. We also had rice (plenty of choice) and lovely (huge!) garlic naan. As there is no license to serve alcohol, we were encouraged to bring our own wine. As a result the bill was extremely reasonable. We intend making a trip to the Lamp a regular occurrence! They also do "takeaway" and will deliver. What's not to like!?

First off I ordered my food for collection over the telephone and when I got there nobody had wrote down my order. The man serving did not even have the decency to apologise instead argued with me that I must not have rang... Despite literally showing the man my call history on my phone. To show him that I wasn't lying. Then the curry I ordered which was a chicken tikka masala.. Standard dish for most Indian takeaway's how could they get this wrong? Tasted so sweet it made me vomit. Would never order from the Lamp ever again. Not even if someone paid me.

There are many food choice in the village however this one looked amazing even from the outside the service inside is also very good! The gent gave free popadom on collection. The tandoori mix grill karahi was amazing!👌🏽👌🏽

Just returned from a weekend holiday and ordered few meals. It was well cooked and tasted excellent. I saw Bhuna pastry Naan on Facebook and ordered it. It was delicious I highly recommend it. Thank you ...
