It was a Tuesday evening so not busy. Great food and service.

I was staying in Lewes overnight as had a business meeting the next day. My hotel recommended Blue India and I wasn’t disappointed. Parking is plentiful in carpark next door. I was greeted by friendly staff straight away and shown to a table. The decor is very clean and modern but with a welcoming feel. I don’t eat meat and there were plenty of options including Vegan Chicken & Beef substitutes. Having never tried them and usually going for Paneer I decided to take the plunge and go for a Vegan beef Ceylon, Pilau rice & naan bread. The meal came out in good time and everything looked and tasted fresh & hot & tasty I was pleasantly surprised by vegan beef and definitely have again. I would definitely recommend and will definitely visit again when in the area.

First takeaway from here and our last.... Just tasteless even though ordered a variety of different dishes it tasted like it all came from the same pot. Definitely not worth the money paid. Not that cheap ethier. Will not be ordering agian!

Absolutely Outstanding – A Go-To Spot! Cafe Ganges,has consistently delivered an exceptional experience every time I order. Their tandoori dishes and butter chicken are absolutely stunning—packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. Whether I’m dining in or ordering takeout, the quality remains top-tier. The staff are incredibly polite, welcoming, and always friendly. Even when I order for delivery, the service is prompt, and the food arrives warm, well-packaged, and without any mess. That level of care really stands out. I’ve also had the pleasure of dining in, and the experience was just as great. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the management personally greets guests, which adds a lovely personal touch. On top of all that, the pricing is very reasonable—especially considering the location—and there’s plenty of parking available nearby, which makes it even more convenient. They also serve halal meat which is much appreciated! Highly recommend Cafe Ganges —great food, great people, and always a pleasure.

A great meal. A full and flavourful curry. Delicious rice and tasty sides. We had the Pathia and Korma. The price was fair, but as with most take away, it’s in the up.

Ordered a takeaway delivery to the port terminal where we were staying over night for the ferry. Food arrived early. Chicken Biriyani and Chicken Ceylon and Veg Naan. Both meals were of exceptional quality. Red hot and freshly cooked. Lovely people to deal with on the phone and in person. Excellent value too. Heartily recommended. If we lived down here we’d be there every week. Superb. Thanks to all the staff.

Food delicious, no complaints. Great service. We shall be back.

I just moved to Peacehaven I saw there ad in the Peacehaven Magazine. I ordered Meat Samosa and Chicken Biryani which came with Vegetable curry. I wanted Delivery its cash on the delivery only no Card on the phone. When he came I give him cash with a small tip. Not even Thank you he turn around and walk off. I open the bag it was soaked with cooking oil. OMG. The the oil was dripping on my floor I had to clean it up. The oil soak my Samosa and salad. OMG I bined the salad my fingers were cover with oil. I phoned them straight away telling them what happend No There don't care. The veg curry had so much oil. The food was blend no taste at all.

Went there today. The food was very delicious. Recommended.

Saturday night curry. Chicken tikka naga, vegetable dansak, onion bhajis, mushroom rice, poppadoms. Absolutely delicious, cannot fault it, melt in your mouth food.

Excellent food, lovely king prawn curry and really enjoyed the range of vegetables. As usual excellent service and extremely friendly staff.

This is one of my favourite authentic Indian place, the owner and his family are amazing, and the food is amazing and so delicious, I recommend getting the fish curry or the chicken bhuna with pilau rice, it's worth the money..! trust me
