Excellent service and the food was super delicious! Everyone should give it a try😋 The waiter Udoy is very helpful and recommended the best curry in the menu.

It's quite a while since we visited as the meal was good for some but mine was disappointing. It was longer ago than 2023 but I couldn't choose the right date. We've had takeaways more recently too but stopped using them as the quality was too variable and portions were small compared to other providers. It used to be much better and perhaps it has improved but we probably won't risk it.

I went to this place for my fiancée’s birthday. The service was terrible, the staff didn’t make us feel welcome at all and worst of all when I tried to order a lassi the server said they are too busy for it. At that point there were only 3 tables filled including ours with around 10 people for the whole restaurant. If that was busy I’m dreading to see what it’s like when it’s truly busy! The staff barely smiled and placed our group very close with another table even though there was plenty of space. Not impressed at all. The food was good although the chicken a little tough. Overall - not the best experience will NOT be going back there.

The food and service was fantastic. They catered for 22 people, not a single complaint. Starters, main and a few desserts with drinks worked out to be around £32 per head. Amazing value and top quality food! We will be back for the next birthday celebration and thoroughly recommend.

Bland and lacking spices. Both dishes were bland and lacking flavour. Not real smell or taste of the usual spices you get with Indian food. Waited an hour for delivery. A few days later I bought the same curry from the Co-op (microwave readymeal). It was much nicer and had more flavour and spices. How can a readymeal be better than a specialist establishment??? Shocking

Nice Indian, reasonably priced, a little greasy but all the dishes were tasty and the quantity was on the generous side. Would definitely repeat😋

This was our first visit here since New Years Eve, which left us very disappointed with one of the owners.....however on this occasion we were blown away not only by the staff and service, but the food was top notch too. I opted for a King Prawn Puree...cooked to perfection and arrived in good time, piping hot. Main course was Chicken Tikka for both of us. Girlie had the starter variant for her main course, whereas I tucked into the full blown main course one. Once again, very tender just enough spice and totally delicious. We followed up with a well presented Pina Colada dessert...all washed down with a reasonably priced bottle of Pinot All in all a fabulous night, just as it used to be.

Fantastic every time. Having tried most Indian restaurants and takeaways in the area, from Newhaven to rottingdean, most don't come close to beating the quality of food from maloncho. Consistent, the curries always taste the same high quality whenever you order them. For me, the tikka masala is rich and spicy but not hot. It is somewhat sweet, so too is the aloo paneer which I also tried and love. Very flavorful and best around. Certainly recommend. Previously tried many other Indian shops in the area , either bland or low quality. Certainly recommend, my experience isn't based on one order it's based on 3+ over the past few months.

I am sad to write this after many decades using this restaurant. This was the second takeaway that we have collected that was warm not hot by getting to car. I took it back and he said it is hot feeling tinfoil case. I said inside isnot. He refused to do anything about it. When home I checked temperature and it was94’F and I checked safety guidance for takeaways which should have been kept at at least 145’F whilst transporting. This curry wasn’t at that when I collected. I got there early so ot would not be kept in the blue box but it was already in there . Please can you address this issue and test the warmth of your food on collection with a thermometer so you can get the his right or adjust pick up times earlier. Had to reheat at home.

Sadly this restaurant has gone downhill. Our curries were SO oily and lacked spice despite our selecting ‘medium spice’ dishes. Disappointing.

Ordered 2 chef specials and a veg side dish for collection. Collected at time specified, drove 5 minutes home and the food was luke warm. Called restaurant, they just said "we are busy, there's nothing we will do". One if the curries had bits of lamb in which is odd as the dishes were chicken or veggie

We had the nicest evening at malonchos, their service was excellent and their food was delicious. You have a range of classic dishes and maloncho specials. They were so accommodating and the prices were very reasonable. Would highly recommend anyone going.

went for sit down meal last night for a table of six. the place was fully and very noisy , we where asked to order before the last two of our party had arrived . be declined. the food was ok nothing special but everything seem rushed . after receiving our bill within a minute a man with a card machine was at our table as we hadnt finished our drinks we asked him to come back . seconds later another man starting taking the table cloths of the table. at this stage we paid and left , start to finish 1 hr 20 minutes. the price for 6 was £224 / £37 per head seems a lot ..will i return NO

Arrived at 18-30 as a party of 25 pre-booked As it stands ( 20.45) half of our party have been served and finished their meals whilst half of us are still awaiting our starters Bit of better planning after pre- booking would have been appreciated That said the food was excellent

We are so happy that this excellent Indian restaurant has reopened! Such great food with excellent service. The onion bhajis here are amazing. Not oily just plenty of flavour. We had black pepper chicken with mushroom rice and murgh makhani with lemon rice, bombay potato and garlic nan. Such large portions! The rice really complimented the curry especially the tangy lemon with the creamy murgh. Served with cobra beer, all went down a treat. We weren’t going yo have a dessert but we couldn't resist! Pistachio kulfi and banofee ice cream pot were lovely!! Very impressed with the food, service and atmosphere. We will be back!

Let's be honesty take away isn't quite the same as eating in....and we were delighted to discover that the eating in bit was to reopen..and duly booked a table for the first Saturday of business. We arrived unsurprisingly to a busy restaurant, and were swiftly led to our table. There were, amongst a couple of familiar members of staff, lots of new faces, which seemed to lack experience, but were efficient non the same. However, they were serving food like there'd been trained by Eusain Boult....with a swiftness not seen anywhere before! Having said that, the food (chicken tikka, and the prawn puree and the chicken they set fire too) was a as easy as ever with very generous portions, and excellent value for money too. We had to 'nick' clean cutlery and a candle/tea light from an adjoining table... The manager/owner (or at least we think he was) took the trouble to go round the restaurant to thank us for visiting, although he lacked a little bit of sincerity, however one of the other familiar faces was much more appreciative. Welcome back guys......we look forward to our next visit.

Not for the first time we waited a long time for our order (1 hr). We ordered in the shop and then waited and watched people come in, order receive their food and leave. When I enquired how much longer we would need to wait I was told that I hadn’t been waiting that long (50 mins). I said other people had ordered and gone and was told ‘no they haven’t’ when we received our food luke-warm and tasteless and no apology for the wait - definitely need some competition locally

Freshly cooked food, my partner has allergies to preservatives & nickel. Malonchos food is the only takeaway where she doesn’t end up itching or swelling, sometimes slow when very busy but, worth the wait, can be 1 hour but they do warn you of that…

Peacehaven definitely needs to open more Indian restaurants to take the monopoly away from malonchos and give it some healthy competition ,it might then up its game .My wife and I had a takeaway from malonchos last night normally it’s ok but I felt they are now putting profits before good food and flavours, this is the second takeaway that has been below standard we have had in the last 2 months.I had the king prawn madras with chips and as you can see from the picture I have added I didn’t know if it was a curry or a soup as it was like water with about as much flavour as water . My wife went for the chicken tikka masala which she said was so dry it was chewy. As for us it will be our last time eating from here until We see a lot of good rating . It’s a shame as this place was once very good .

I hate to admit this as it's been my local, regular Indian for years now but it's going downhill. From a takeaway perspective, the first challenge is getting through on the phone. It easily takes at least 20 or so attempts on both landlines to get through to place an order. I get that this could be a hard thing to manage if you're getting lots of orders but a queuing system would be fine. Secondly, delivery times now are consistently well over and hour, even on weeknights. This would also be understandable if the quality of the food was still there, which regrettably it is not, which leads me on to my final point.The food quality has declined so much from my experience. Having used Maloncho for so many years, I have tried the vast majority of the menu and all the dishes used to be great - full of flavour, spice, rich sauces etc but now this is not the case. Even my choice of go-to safe options which always used to be good have now become bland, watery and generally unsatisfying. With the long waiting times for delivery also the food usually turns up lukewarm and for some reason the last handful of times, usually all over the bag rather than in the containers. It started off with 1 bad experience but I happily wrote it off as just an off-night, it has now been for the last 5 or 6 orders now and this is enough for me, I'll have to sadly find a new option. I hope it can return to its previous glory.

The weather was bad but we received a warm friendly welcome. The place was empty probably because of the awful weather. An extensive menu covering the whole range of Indian food with recommended Chef specials. The food was mediocre and lacking. My Garlic chicken was an ample portion but did not have the bite which I would have liked. The Biriani's were considered bland so unexciting. The outside look is nothing that would draw you in but the interior was light, bright and modernly decorated. Very pleasant. Due to the lack of customers it had little atmosphere. Perhaps on another day?

Quite possibly the best take away chicken pathia I have ever had. You know it is good when you are still eating even though it hurts. Highly recommend. Particularly like the fact it arrived within the timeframe passed on order! Will deffinatley use again

Went for our anniversary meal. Lovely large menu with lots of specials and heard them offer to make one diner a specially hot type of what they odered. Always nice and freshly cooked food reasonably priced and the service and staff are excellent and friendly ( poppadoms are yummy as well )

This restaurant makes the best curries ever !!!! I’m from Surrey and visit Newhaven every year to have one ! If I lived nearer I would become very fat ! they are delicious and I would recommend to any one and everyone you will not be disappointed!

been here for a take away twice recently after unsuccessfully trying to get a walk in table on a Saturday evening. they were so busy, there was not a table to be had. good for them, which is a great sign. so we ended up having a take away the next weekend. We had what I think are Probably the nicest Lamb Passandas we've ever had....... absolutely fabulous . well done Maloncho, we'll be back ..... hopefully for a sit down meal.

Food was cold ,called them to say and was told just been made , had it been a meat chioice it would have been straight in the bin , but ate a little bin anyway

I had a really great night out recently with some friends and I really cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The food was absolutely top notch, served fresh and hot. The staff were really nice, friendly people. We were respectful, although spirits were high and the owner and his staff joined in the fun. They also have an amazing view of the sea from many areas of the restaurant which serves to enhance the relaxed dining experience. I really cannot rate this restaurant highly enough and would more than happily dine there again.

Food was quite good, service good but very slow. Wine was a bit pricey for a local restaurant, but overall a nice evening

My wife and I are from Birmingham and so are spoiled for choice when it comes to Indian Restaurants. However we frequently struggle to find a good one when we are away from home. Therefore when visiting my cousin and his wife in Peacehaven we didn't really expect too much when they suggested having a takeaway from this Indian restaurant. We needn't have worried . The quality of the chicken in our food was excellent(always a good indicator) and the sauce was both tasty and very much to our taste. We paid a bit more than we would have done in Birmingham , which is not surprising , but you don't mind when the food is as good as this. We would definitely reccommend this restaurant.

If you want good service & a nice atmosphere- give this place a miss. Kept waiting an hour for main course & when we asked how long it would be, were given the excuse of being busy with no idea when we would eat. Full of large noisy groups , some with children and babies in proms. Utter chaos. You couldn’t have a conversation.

the food was excellent and the variety on offer great. All fresh and authentic and great value. we had set starters which were hot and tasty with a salad garnish. Given that we were a group of over 20 this was excellent. The main courses were varied, meat, prawns and vegetables. Tasty and plentiful.

Great collection service never had an order wrong unlike many take aways. Great pakoras and meat samosa is great lovely quality of chicken. Always friendly.

Have been here a coupled times always had good service and food! Husband likes really hot chicken vindaloo and I am more reserved with chicken tikka dishes, both lovely really nice selection of side dishes and don't forget the yummy poppadoms to start. Lovely food very hot and seems freshly cooked even offered to customise a did h for another table. Quite reasonable price wise. Is now our go-to Indian restaurant as our old one cut their portions but not prices.

Shocking service, waited 1 hr 20 minutes for food, we were not alone in complaining about the wait, the people on the table next to us actually walked out after being told their food was coming several times, the waiter was totally indignant and was rude in his response to them. Another waiter that served us has clearly been to the Basil Fawlty School of service, I have never met such a surly character, he was extremely rude and certainly should not be front of house. Food was ok, we thought we would try Maloncho as it is near to us but we will be returning back to our usual

Although known as a takeaway they built a superb seating area on the side of the building a couple of years ago. It’s a very bright and airy area. The staff were very attentive and the food was some of the best Indian food I’ve tasted in ages. A superb restaurant I’ve visited before and will be visiting again.

Decided to have a takeaway Friday dinner as a treat and it was the right choice. We have ordered: 1 Macher Jhol - fish dish, very nice, mayyybe fish was a bit too fatty, we have actually removed a solid fat from it , still very nice dish; 2 Paneer Chilli Masala - a bit hot, good flavour; 3 Vegetable Malaya - sweet sauce with potatoes and pineapples, which was a surprise for us as we have never had pineapple in Indian dishes- lovely lovely dish. Two of us have eaten half of all dishes and we have other half for tmr happy days

My wife and I went for a last time to this restaurant and I need to confess that it was the longest wait for food I had experienced in a long time.

Went for a meal on Saturday night and the service was just so slow we had to ask 3 times to place our order then had to wait so long for the meal to. Come out, when it did arrive we were told it was our fault for ordering a fish dish, as the fish is frozen??? Which I thought was a weird thing to say! The food was nice but by the time it came was not that bothered about eating.!

It’s a shame when the waiter brings down the reputation of a good restaurant, but when you wait 40 minutes after your order is taken to get your drinks and then when the meal arrives it’s almost chucked at you, you think do I give them a second chance as they all can’t be bad or just go elsewhere!

People often complain about the delivery times however the restaurant is so popular what do you expect, the food is absolutely glorious!!!! Always use maloncho and always will!

Don’t go here if u want a stress free delivery! Whoever the idiot was on the phone is a complete moron the usual bloke wasn’t there and the Pratt I had to deal with ruined the whole ordering side of it. Will never go here again! Have given them chance after chance after late delivery but done with them now.

Awful takeaway - Fish swimming in thick orange sauce- Nan bread thick, chewy & inedible. They must have known this when they put it into the bag. Waste of money.

It looks like a lovely restaurant. Serving Indian food.. But the food is very bland.. Not what I'd call authentic Asian Cuisine. It has been adapted to suit a British palette thus losing its authenticity... Quite well priced but wasn't too impressed with the food...

I came here on my own early evening, so place was reasonably quiet apart from a loud group of 8 people, which for some reason the waiter gave me a table next to. I ordered chicken jalfrezi, mixed vegetable curry and pilau rice - good-sized portions.

I recently ordered a takeaway for my family, this place used to be good but I was shocked by the abysmal quality of the food and poor value for money. The chicken korma was a sickly pale yellow and too sweet to eat, and the lamb tikka starter at £6.95 ... we’ll see for yourself how tiny the portion was. Very disappointed, we threw away most of the curries

Just wanted to put this out their, ordered a curry from Maloncho, it turned up after one and a half hours after being told it would be 50 min and I feel I was right to ask for discount or they can keep it, we'll they chose to keep it, shocking shocking customer service!!!!! Will never ever use again.....

My Mother ordered a Takeaway on Christmas Eve, that she then had on Christmas Day for her Christmas Dinner - she loved it. Very good quality. Lots of it. Very well priced. Service and speed was good. Apparently, they provide a great delivery service as well. Well done Peeps :-)

Visited the place twice with friends for dinner. The first time it was lovely! Food was nice and staff very friendly. Happy to find a good curry place in Telscombe we decided to go back again! This time it was very disappointing. The staff was on the verge of rude and the food was with no taste at all! I had a goan curry but it had to taste or spices whatsoever. It was just fried onions with tomatoes and a few prawns. Such a shame! I don't think i will visit again.

First visit to this restaurant with friends,Wont be going back! The noise was terrible from groups of people shouting about so loudly we could not hold a normal conversation.We were served quite quickly and the food was a good temperature and quite tasty although too much red colouring..But when we got the bill I was very shocked, £51.00 for two curries , two puddings, one nann bread and two drinks.It appears from the bill that we were charged £5.00 for one tea and £9.00 for a coffee.

All our best friends came down from London Saturday and we all had a great day in Brighton visiting various pubs, Crickiters love this place, my hotel for more great cocktails, and decided to have dinner, so after going to various Restaurants in Brighton that were all fully booked or not serving at all at 22.00 at night???? Really I thought, so we decided to go to Muloncho Indian, I called to geek the table as the last booking is at 23.30 we arrived and the place was so busy, we got a big table at the rear which was all set up and ready, our waiter was a great chap sadly did not get his name but he wore glasses, and was so friendly . We started with popadoms and various pickles, got our Sauvignon Blanc wines and some beers for the guys, we ordered our mains of Cyclon chicken, Chicken madras. Lamb Buna, Sizzling Chicken, chilli chicken, and tried various rice diches of, Lemon Rice, Mushroom Rice, Cocunut Rice, Sagaloo, Bombay Potatoes, and after about just 10 minutes our mains arrived and we all agreed after trying them all that it was truly Delicious and served on Hot Plates ( I Love That ) the waiter really looked after us all throughout the night and it was a great Atmosphere . We asked for Taxi for us to get back to my House, and again it was all sorted, it's a lovely very well laid out Restaurant, the place is spotless throughout and the service is superb, parking is easy to, and the menu is fantastic with a great various selection on Indian and Punjab food but do ask about trying Different foods like we did as it was well worth it, truly delicious food,

Used to use Maloncho regularly (don't want to admit every week but there are worse sins)! Over the last month or two service has really gone down hill. Deliveries now taking 2 hours plus and now more than once the wrong dishes delivered, luke warm.

Ordered my food to be picked up and was told that it will be ready in 40 mins. I arrived...

Excellent.. fabulous food... give it a go.. always very busy... even if you have a takeaway... always suggest you collect.....

Had a great meal , think it was the best Indian meal iv had for a long time , the staff a very friendly and the restaurant is bright and modern, definitely worth a visit.

Again so hungry ordered takeaway not what we ordered. Pompadoms burnt tasted disgusting I'm sorry we decided to order. Also for the poor customer that got my curry as I like them hot. Lesson learnt

Went for a try out meal at Maloncho. I'm vegetarian the two people with me weren't. I had great starter and my main was excellent. Both of my fellow diners also really enjoyed their meals. Nice restaurant but a bit formal for my personal taste. Would recommend 100%

Visited here on a whim, didn't book thinking they would be quiet, turned out to be really busy, a good sign for any restaurant on a Sunday afternoon, and I have to say all 4 of us were very pleased with all the dishes we tried, except for the popadoms & chutneys(tasted like out of a jar) highly recommend the sizzler Juliet, which comes out on a hot skillet flaming the smells are out of this world, a very popular dish that came sizzling through the restaurant regularly though the evening, all in all a must visit if your in the area

Have ordered takeaways from Maloncho's for many years and have always thoroughly enjoyed their food. Have now on a few occasions eaten in their restaurant. Again the food was very good. The staff are very friendly and the service excellent. At the weekend it gets very busy, so have to be prepared to wait a bit longer. Worth it though as the curry is freshly cooked, hot and plenty of it. The new restaurant has a nice atmosphere, modern and clean. We have also been offered a complimentary drink at the end of the evening. We will definitely return soon.

Have been having takeaways for years and were good, but it seems that since the restaurant has opened things are not as good, the last two takeaways I have had to phone and complain because they were not up to standard, have not been back since.

Attended the Maloncho for an evening meal. I have eaten many take aways from the Restaurant but never eaten in before. I found the menu to be extensive. The service was excellent, the food to be superb. One of the best places I have eaten Indian food

We had a curry on Thursday evening it was really poor, tasteless and the onion bahgees were oily and not very nice, however we gave them another try tonight and was much better, the chicken was a little on tough side but the rest was lovely. It does seem to be a bit hit or miss from here, I wonder if they a different chef on wèekends

Service was first class, very polite and friendly. They don't rush you. We had 2 tikka masala's and a chicken Balti, onion bahjee, Bombay potato with a couple of naans and all were amazing. Even offered complimentary drinks which we declined on this occasion.Can't wait to go back or order our next takeaway.
