Deep fried GF veggies in their own batter - wonderful. Good chatting to someone that understands what people want.

Always unique and so delicious. Slices of various vegetables, peppers, broccoli, beetroot carrot onion aubergine, and more dipped in spicy batter and deep fried to order , served with a selection of dips my favourite is mango Chutney - and also vegetarian and gluten free. So simple and yet so special. Lucky lewes for having WhamBam.

Hot, spicy, veg in season you're never quite sure what vegetables will be dipped in the delicious batter. An ideal lunch when you're mooching around a market or festival.

We have visited this takeaway dozens of times over the years, best way to get kids to eat vegetables! Beautiful fresh cooked food, amazing mango chutney, lime pickles etc, choose the level of heat you want. Very nice people, excellent food

Have been coming to this wonderful foodie place for years, especially when the Farmers market is on - 1st Saturday of every month. The variety of vegetables is terrific and the tempura batter is perfect. There are lots of different things to have with them - my favourite is the mango chutney. Once you've tried them, you'll become addicted I'm sure!

They are running a takeaway from the restaurant where people are sitting eating. The phone rings constantly, there are delivery drivers coming to the restaurant constantly to pick up orders. The waiters are running around constantly in the restaurant area in order to keep up with orders.

Was great when it first opened, We knew the owner and he had a real " spark" of enthusiasm. Now....its lost something. The food was OK.. comparable to other restaurants in the area, although expensive. , but the atmosphere is flat. We were almost the only couple. The owner sat around a corner looking bored and ignored us. Gave us a vague wave as we left with a cursory.." was the food OK?".... real lack of interest. Previously it was his enthusiasm that inspired us to go. We could have ordered a take away for all of the dinning experience, but reading the reviews of those....there is no way. A shame....end of an era...bye bye Spice Village.

I don’t like writing negative reviews. I really don’t. But this place was a bit meh. Nothing was ‘bad’ but nothing was particularly good either. The service was good and generally attentive but the food was disappointing and presentation was distinctly lacking. There were 2 full menus and perhaps that’s the problem - they do a lot of dishes but none of them particularly well?
