Was staying in Gravesend just for the one night and the Sharla was suggested as a possible place to eat. Great choice. Food was outstanding, service excellent and the ambience was pretty cool as well. My Lamb Chop starter was unbelievable, so much flavour. My wife reckoned it was the best Indian meal she has had for years. Nice bottle of Shiraz to wash it all down followed by a complementary glass of Port. Price was ok and they deserved the good tip I left.

New address in Queen Street! (same telephone number) Slightly improved premises with a little more seating than in Milton Road. We enjoyed a good selection of starters - all very tasty. The dosas were a little under done but ok. The service was friendly but as the place was almost full they were struggling to keep up. Despite this the quality of the food makes it wort visiting. Don't expect table cloths and napkins etc. Inexpensive so good value. Not the sort of "standard" Indian / Bangladeshi restaurant food. Great for vegetarians.

This curry house is exceptional. Truly amazing. Tried it out once a few months ago for the first time and haven't stopped since. The lamb bhuna and saag aloo are the best items on the menu and the service is always great. Highly recommend.

I've given this place three attempts, as it's very local to me, each occasion ordering a different main. In all honesty, you might as well walk past, go to tesco and co-op and get yourself a microwave curry. You will enjoy it more. Their food has no taste, the way they present it is horrible. My final attempt was a chicken tikka balti, was just five poor pieces of chicken, and the runniest of sauces I would only compare to something I'd rather not put on here. It must obviously do quite well, but I genuinely don't understand how. A curry isn't a cheap meal, spend your money elsewhere

Food was good, service was really bad, we had popadoms before we finished them our mains arrived, they didn’t come back to see if we wanted another drink or to see if everything was ok. We stopped for a breather and then they appeared with takeaway pots and a bag. We had only been in there 55 minutes. We then paid cash and part card, were he then stood at the table and counted the money, which me and my sister thought rude. Apart from that can’t complain about the food
