Vigo Tandoori in Gravesham

This curry house is exceptional. Truly amazing. Tried it out once a few months ago for the first time and haven't stopped since. The lamb bhuna and saag aloo are the best items on the menu and the service is always great. Highly recommend.

First time takeaway here and it was great. As a vegetarian it is so hard to get a decent paneer curry. Their menu has paneer in all options. All the dishes we had were so fresh and tasty. Food was ready and waiting, staff polite and clean tidy premises.

Second time we have ordered from here, the food was delicious and great value for the money. The staff was very helpful and polite I would highly recommend trying this restaurant.

First time ordering and I wish I had seen the bad reviews beforehand as we had the same terrible experience. Ordered a takeaway for a family celebration and was told the food would take 40-60mins to arrive. Giving them the benefit of the fact it was Saturday night I gave them a few more minutes but after 90 mins I called to ask where it was and was told it was about to leave the restaurant to get to us. We are ten minutes away and half an hour later the food still hadn’t arrived. I chased again and was told exactly the same thing. I tried to cancel the order but the person at the other end kept shouting that it was coming. When it did eventually arrive two and a half hours after ordering there were items missing. When my husband called them to complain and ask for a refund the person at the other end laughed it off. At no point did anyone call us to let us know of a delay, no one apologised at any time or offered a gesture or refund to make amends. The food was mediocre and definitely not worth the appalling wait. The whole experience ruined our family celebration.

First time order with Vigo Tandoori! Ordered a butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and a lamb Bhuna with peshwari naan and onion bhaji’s - everything came HOT which is perfect for mum as she can’t stand lukewarm take away. Everything was flavourful, unlike some Indian take aways where everything tastes the same. Bhaji’s were nice and crispy! Under £30 for 3 people so great value for money! The lady on the phone was super helpful and friendly as was the delivery driver. Will definitely be ordering again!

I placed an order on line, having ordered from Vigo many times in the past. After over an hour no food arrived, so I called to find out where it was....apparently out with the driver. An hour later it still hasn’t arrived, my kids dinner was included in order so am now preparing them something else. All phone lines now on engaged and no longer taking any online orders. Really not good enough, don’t accept an order if you can’t handle it!

So disappointed and disgusted that during covid they should give our meal to someone else who took it home had a good look then sent it back .. they then tried to give it to us. Absolutely disgusted that this should happen and they should expect us to accept it. They did offer to re-do our order but we had no confidence that we wouldn’t get the same meal reheated. Soooo disappointed that we finally felt confident enough to order a takeaway, will NEVER order from them again. Still waiting for the cost to be re-credited to debit card.

We normally rave about this place and it is our go-to when we want a curry. However, not sure what was going on this evening! I booked online at 5pm when they opened for a 7:30 delivery. I appreciate Saturday’s are busy, but food over an hour late (I had to call twice to find out what was going on!) and when we did finally have it, it was stone cold and if a very poor standard! I hope it was a one off and not a sign of a new poor standard!

Great choice and so delicious, our friends also say it’s the best Indian meal they have tasted in a long while. Plenty of offers such as 10% off with cash or 15% if ordered on line. No long wait and will deliver if required. We live locally so just as easy to collect and again no long wait to return and collect your order.

This place delivered a wonderful meal for 6 of us on a busy evening. We all had different dishes and everyone loved theirs.

Great Indian food takeaway food was very tasty and hot good price would recommend I gave 4 stars because we waited 1 45 mins for it they forgot our nan but brought it within 10 min but the food was very good will order from here again Rob

Nestled in the village of Vigo is a clean, bright takeaway. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Even suggested dishes when I said what curries I liked. The takeaway was busy with the phone ringing and orders coming through on the internet but the staff worked together ensuring we felt like valued customers. The food was prepared within 25 minutes which included a mixed grill from the tandoori oven and naan breads. It was still piping hot when we got it home. The food was delicious, generous portions and very filling. We will definitely be going back regularly.

After getting our takeaways from a well known Indian restaurant in Meopham and feeling that they had started to get a bit too expensive and hit and miss we decided to try Vigo Tandori. I ordered online for a 7.00pm delivery. It was delivered 2 minutes to 7pm - piping hot, all our order there and excellent quality. Chicken Dhansak was delicious, as was our other dishes. Highly recommend. Will now be our go-to Indian takeaway.

Ordered last week for a family gathering- we had to make specific requests as I have a fussy family. The service on the phone was outstanding and she checked with the kitchen if the chef could make the changes to ensure our meal would be what we wanted. The food arrived on time and it was hot and delicious. The chicken tikka masala is definitely the best we’ve ever tasted! The lamb dansak is full of flavour and the saag paneer is certainly deliciously naughty. Everyone loved their food- we couldn’t find anything we didn’t like! It is obvious this takeaway is passionate about its food and service and goes beyond all expectations. This is one of the best Indian takeaways we have found.

My husband and I tried this takeaway for the first time this evening and were very, very happy. We pre-ordered online for the food to arrive at 19:15 and it arrived at 19:13! It was delicious and one of the best we have had. We will definitely be ordering from them again!

Have used the Vigo Tandoori a few times now since it changed hands. Have experienced a small variety of dishes. Ultimately, the food is good and it's well worth giving them a go. Chicken Balti - Tasty, but a little bland for my taste, could do with a little more citrus. Chicken Pathia - Very good, spicy, sweet, and flavoursome. Chicken Tikka Masala - Excellent, in fact, one of the best I've had. Rice is fine as rice will ever be - cooked well, not at all stogy. All dishes would benefit from a little extra meat. 8 pieces of chicken in a CTM is probably acceptable, but more would be likely to make me choose Vigo Tandoori more often. Prices are very competetative in relation to other local options. All in all, a good indian takeaway, serving worthwhile food.
