First time ordering and we will again. Food arrived piping hot and on time. Unfortunately 1 of our curries was wrong, but we rang the restaurant and they were very apologetic. We had the right curry within half an hour and with 2 free poppadoms as an apology. Not ideal but accidents happen and it was well handled. This wouldn’t stop me ordering again.

I will never complain about the food. not even in the next life 😏👌. But a note to self. Never try to be the first customer of the day. Your better off ordering much later.

I ordered at 18:40 and food didn’t arrive until 20:40.. if you ask me 2 hours is a very long time considering I only live a 10-15 minute drive away at most! Having said that the food was exceptional, Every dish tasted delicious and portion sizes were also generous.. would definitely order again but most probably collect myself in future.

Disappointed as to what was a below average curry from a highly reputable restaurant. Delivery time was fine, came 10 mins late but not an issue for me, was a rice and poppadums missing (poppadums were supposedly free so again not a massive complaint but still not great). The curry itself had what I would say was a lack of meat, just stacked with onions and peppers to make up the size and I’m not generally the stingy type to complain about something like this. We sampled various dishes at this restaurant. My wife specifically requested no sugar in her meals, yet we found the Aloo Gobi unexpectedly sweet. This might not be due to added sugar, but perhaps from a pre-made sauce; we were not particularly impressed by it. On the other hand, the Tarka Dal was exceptionally flavorful, and both the Bhindi and Palak Paneer were quite delicious. Another downside was the Tandoori Roti's price - at over £3 each, it's notably more expensive than what we've seen elsewhere in the UK, where you can get nine for a similar price in Leicester. Overall, the experience was decent for the area.

I ordered for half 7 but food arrived at 7. We were not ready to eat so had to try and keep it warm. Food was good, however chicken korma could have done with more chicken, there was a lot of sauce.

We visited Shapla last night upon recommendation and it didn’t disappoint! The flavours in the curries were lovely, my partner had the lamb blast and the meat was so soft and the flavours were perfect! Food was hot, portion size was great, staff had excellent customer service and the atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely. Cannot wait to eat here again, we will be recommending to others too

Food arrived over cooked and tasteless. Chicken was over done , onion barjis were all over cook and no onion in them just a ball of batter . Paid more than what we normally do from our local one as it was closed . Will definitely not be ordering again . Avoid

We took our young children this evening. Service good, food tasty and price fair. We will go again. Some other reviews mention some dishes being very sweet, we didn't find that, but it depends what you choose. The menu is informative and staff happy to discuss dishes. It was early evening and quiet when we went. We had a toddler who dropped a lot of rice and crumbs but they were fine about it.

First time here and ordered take away direct, when checking online on there site after having meal it was £8.50 extra as phoned direct. Disappointing to find out you get no discount for collection and pay more if you phone a order direct. Food was good but not that good for the price.

We booked Shapla for a work event for 21 people. They were amazing, service was brilliant and would highly recommend. Food was served hot, everyone ate together and all our needs catered for.

Food was reasonably ok but the waiters were rude and unfriendly. I’d rather order a ready meal from a supermarket and eat it at home than go there again.

Lovely food, best we've had from anywhere in ages! Only thing that people might not like is that you get LOADS of sauce compared to amount of meat in a dish... I like it this way but others may not

The food was absolutely rubbish and overpriced. The first few dishes we ordered were meant to be spicy but they were so sweet, with no flavours. We complained to them about this so they recommend the Madras curry and it was just the sweet curry mixed with a LOT OF red chilli flakes. The whole top of curry was covered in chilli flakes. It was disgusting. The customer service was quite good though, but the chef wasn't. Don't come here, you'll waste your money.

Food excellent will order again

Extremely disappointed with my meal. The chicken was terribly tough and chewy yet in a korma sauce. The prawn salad was hot and spoilt because it was stored in the hot food bag and the poppadams were more like a packet of chrisps and destroyed. Refund requested.

Food was nice but it's so frustrating when delivery is late, you ring and your told, it's just left the shop will be 5 mins and it turns up half hour later, just be honest... Delivery guy was nice and friendly, and the food was tasty maybe a little hotter than average.

What can I say, Another great meal delivered. Fast and tasty. I had the Chicken tikka balti madras. and my partner had the lamb. Absolutely fresh and well cooked. The onion bhaji was especially well done. The only issue was the naan wasn't as warm as it could be, mind you it is -3 outside. All in all well worth the money.

They forgot the rice. I had to phone them and it was another 15mins in till they sent the rice. It’s not the first time this has happened.

£4.50 for 2 small samosa’s of at best mediocre filling. Tikka Paneer over cooked. Such a shame, I had family round for a celebration food did not stand-up. I will find a new take away now.

I visited Shapla with my family and had a brilliant evening. Service was exceptional- staff were friendly, professional and accommodating. Food was flavoursome and of high quality. The overall ambience of the restaurant was one to remember. Would highly recommend and shall be returning soon!

This curry house is the best by far dont use just eat call them, u will get the popadoms and dips, I have been using this takeaway + restaurant for well over a year and the flavour is outstanding really great. Never a bad delivery time always early. But if it's late believe me it's well worth the wait. Good thing come to those that wait. And it's the best every time.

We did not receive the Naan bread or Popadoms within our order when it was delivered. We called the restaurant direct within 2 minutes of it having arrived & they said they would deliver them, but we did not receive them! I would like a refund of these items!
