Great restaurant. Friendly, very respectful and great food at good prices.

Very disappointed with our meal, went with my Dad, we've always had a lovely meal there previously, we normally go for chicken dishes, however, we decided on lamb for a change lamb madras and lamb tika masala. The meat was awful really chewy and tough quite indigestible really. I told the waiter who got the chef who I explained the meat was inedible. He did apologise and gave me a free curry to take away and said it was chicken. I got home only to find out it was lamb again! It went straight in the bin. I won't be ordering lamb ever again! The bottom line is I wasted 50 quid which should have been a nice treat for my Dad who loves curry!

Absolutely horrible!!! We arrived without a booking, 4 people. We were really hoping for a great experience and amazing food but our overall experience was absolutely horrendous! We ordered some starters to share and a few drinks and shortly afterwards manager came to us and said if we won’t order more food we have to leave the restaurant because apparently we didn’t spend too much money ( just saying restaurant was half empty , there was no people ) this is absolutely disgusting and humiliating behavior and totally disrespectful We were hoping to spend an amazing time with my family but apparently we could not because we didn’t spend enough money!! We felt humiliated and disrespected, avoid this place if you apparently don’t have enough money to satisfy them !!!!!

Excellent food, good service, limited drinks list, fee parking after 6:00pm. The meals were reasonably priced and the menu was extensive. I would feel free recommending this restaurant and I would go again at the drop of a hat

We ordered from this restaurant as we’d eaten there and it was good and we were hoping the takeaway would be as good. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case with hard, overcooked chicken in two of the dishes. We won’t be using again and wouldn’t recommend

We have been lucky enough to o have been eating Curry since we were children (some 50 years now) so we like to think we know a good curry. Ghanaian is just that, a very very good curry. The restaurant is small and cosy, the service is impeccable and the food is even better. We can’t believe we have never been here bore, and are rather upset that we hadn’t. The Patia, Vindaloo, Jalfrezi and Passanda were all just off the clock.it was a lovely evening, a little expensive (as are all takeaways these days) but we don’t mind that when you have such a lovely evening. We would and will, go back in heartbeat.

The onion bhaji was so dense and hard as to be inedible- we had 6 and no one ate a single one. Besides their poor quality they came with two pathetically small containers of yogurt and red sauce - scarcely enough for one serving. The main courses were OK but not warm enough and - for a curry - lacking in tastes. We travel to go to Gandhi because it is usually of superior quality. The was not so maybe the restaurant should think why all the food in this order was below its usual standard

Hi everyone who read my review I take my wife out for valentine's dinner and this time we decided to visit Indian cuisine restaurant. And we wound one not far from us The Gandhi and this place surprise us with professional staff atmosphere and also the main this is food . Food is amazing fresh full of flavoure everything was so delicious we ordered some take away too . Definitely recommend to visit this place and have taste yourself and you will see how this food is amazing. Not far from this restaurant you can get parking too .

The food was lovely, but the waiters/waitress, was loitering by the table all the time we were there, very hurried, even though very early evening, was not busy, empty tables, we could of been in and out in 30 mins, if we had not ignored them, some of the time, was trying to chat with my friend, who id not seen in a while, very disappointing service

This was my first visit to this restaurant. The food is fantastic, really impressed. The staff are very friendly and super efficient without hassling you. Definitely my go to restaurant when in Gravesend area. Well done.

We had previously been here over a year ago and thought it was good and we'd definitely go back sometime. We went a few weeks ago and we were very disappointed in the food overall. Standards seem to have dropped significantly in our opinion. Unfortunately means we've been put off going back for a while. I'll have to give it a try again another time as I had thought they were much better, maybe they just had a bad weekend.

Took my wife here for her first visit to an Indian restaurant and she loved it . Friendly staff welcome you like you are a regular , service is excellent , food is to die for and atmosphere is great . We have been back since and will definitely be back again . Our go to Indian restaurant in Gravesend , highly recommended.

Really disappointing curry, ordered the chilli chicken and there was barely any heat, no depth of flavour, no garnish of any kind. Complete waste of money. Would never order here again much better options available locally will stick to what I know in the future

Another lovely meal out at the Gandhi, I had the Gandhi chicken special, just the right amount of spice. Wonderful. See you soon. Had a lovely meal at the Gandhi on Thursday, 28 December. Food was amazing and staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive (in particular the very good humoured Reggie [apologies if we have misspelt the name]). I can heartily recommend the specials, in particular the fish curry.

We are always welcomed warmly. The food and whole experience is very good and they always cater for my food intolerance as well as they can.

For our first visit we are impressed by the quality and the food. The service of Regi was an excellent standard, with warmth and professionalism.

You can’t go wrong ordering - every menu item is full of flavour and staff are always happy to help and answer questions. Tiny space chairs uncomfortable. £7.50 starter was a rip off, very expensive. Let me put in perspective 4 ordinary Naan cost £11.50 now you image what will be cost of main and gosh forbidden if u try to order beverage the cost will sky roof. Biryani was look biryani but test was a boiled rice. Rest of other dishes all test the same. We order 5 different main dishes.

Excellent food we booked an 18:30 hrs table on a Monday the only ones there. The food was lovely, the waiters were very polite and friendly. All in all a brilliant meal

We have been dining out in this restaurant for many years. The food is faultless. They are also extremely accommodating to tweak dishes to your personal taste. The staff are always so professional and tonight we were served by Rej. He is extremely friendly, knowledgeable about the food and generally a very fun member of the team. An asset to the Ghandi.

A Sunday buffet as it should be served. Fresh offerings kept fresh, good attentive, but not overpowering service, and a reason bill. Made me and my lady friend contented and happy. Recommended!

Arrived 35 mins after the app said it was out for delivery. Food was only Luke warm on arrival. Massive shame as usually always enjoy good from this restaurant & have done for years. Maybe just a really busy night?

DO NOT EAT IN THIS RESTAURANT!!!!!!! Food was so boring and lacked flavour, poor hygiene, restaurant was filled with flies, which I think is disgusting and completely put me off my dinner. I know for a fact I did not order them with my families meal. Toilets were filthy and were clearly in the process of still being built even though the restaurant has been open since 1996 AND what is with the one singular toilets for each gender???? Food is also not freshly made and it’s pretty obvious too… Lastly the staff made me and my family feel awkward as they kept looking over every five minutes.

Food was absolutely lovely. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was brilliant. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Thankyou Reg and all the staff for such great service.

My wife and I went there for an impromptu meal to celebrate our anniversary. We have not been to the restaurant for afew years and was impressed with the quality and portion size of the food offered. We were not rushed and service was paced well between courses. The staff were very attentive and catered well for our dietary requirements - so a very big plus point for that. Well done and we'll be back!

Visited on Tuesday night with a colleague whilst away in business. Restaurant was lively, and the food was excellent - mixed kebab starters, chicken pathos, lamb madras and then sundries, with large Cobra. Staff were attentive and helpful, with the venue well presented. Decent value for money and will return the next time in town.

Popped in unexpectedly and they were able to accommodate the last minute booking despite being very busy. The food was amazing as was the warm welcome and friendly service we received. The atmosphere was pleasant with background music set just right. Thank you Reg, we will definitely be returning.

I have been going to the Gandhi for more than 15 years and I have never been disappointed. The food is excellent and the staff is amazing. I have introduced the restaurant to a lot of people and they unanimously say that at the Gandhi we eat the best Indian food. I 100% recommend it so if you have never been there, you are missing on a great experience.

This is not the kind of restaurant that will blow you away. Its the kind of restaurant that is reliable, friendly, kind, clean and most of all delicious! Great quality food, peaceful atmosphere and friendly knowledgeable staff that gave us good recommendations aside from our usual. Expect banter and a little conversation. Fantastic friendly service. We stopped for a take away and the food came really quickly and was delicious! The team are really friendly and helpful - even went out do their way to help us with our car troubles! The restaurant itself has a cosy atmosphere and I’d definitely come here again.

I regularly take my family to The Gandhi & we always come away happy, the food is delicious, the staff are always attentive (we were served by Reg last time & he was very good), the owner is excellent he will come & chat with you & even suggest dishes that go together with what you’re ordering. Lovely place , the buffet was very bland, tasted more like a casserole. The meat was nice and tender. Probably won't visit again. I like a curry to taste like a curry.

Thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I especially recommend the King Prawn Pathia. I had it with bhindi bhaji and saag bhaji and it was utterly delicious.

Definitely the best indian / Bangladeshi food in the Gravesend and Kent area. There are no shortage of indian food options in this area but I have found this restaurant consistent and the quality of the food shows that the owner and staff do not compromise. It is also conveniently located near the station and away from the hustle and bustle… The restaurant is clean, spacious and comfortable. Staff are friendly and the owner / manager does everything he can to make sure all guests leave with a smile 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

After ordering from here for years this was unfortunately a bad experience. We have always rated the superb quality but this seemed to be well below standard. Chewy meat, sauces tasted old and stale, in general it just didn’t seem fresh. It won’t stop us ordering as generally the quality can’t be surpassed but we won’t order near opening time or on Sundays anymore
