Ordered onion Bhaji tastes off plus poppadoms wasn’t crispy had to throw both away over 10 pounds worth of food

I often get the dhal makhani lemon rice and sweet potato chaat with poppadom, it’s my fave comfort meal when I cba to cook. My husband gets the butter chicken and he likes it. Portions are good, food arrives hot early or on time. Staff is lovely too

Food was delivered hot and on time just wasn't very nice for us. Bhaji's looked and tasted like they came out of a freezer bag. Not much meat in the curries. Flavour was OK in the curry sauces but the poppadom was the best part. Sorry!

This used to be a unique Indian restaurant, so different from the many so called Indian restaurants in Gravesend. It used to serve delightful Southern Indian food, rice ‘pancakes’, dosas I think they were called. Now no better than all the rest of the anglicised Indian restaurants in Gravesend. Fortunately the staff are as pleasant as ever. Regretfully I’m unlikely to revisit and will return to the last worthy Indian restaurant in Gravesend. It would be unfair to name it here.

Curry was nice, but £3.75 is already steep for a portion of pilau rice so when it turned up only two thirds full I thought it was taking the mick to be honest. Can get a much bigger portion that comes full to the brim from other local restaurants for £1.90.

Gorgeous food, full of flavour. Very authentic and the fact you can choose the dish to your tastes (hot, normal or mild) makes it a winner in my eyes. Best lamb Rogan I’ve had in 20 years! Will definitely order again.

Have been ordering from these guys for a while! Food is always good and arrives on time or early. Doesn’t matter if it for two people or for 8! Easy, efficient and great foods!

I have spent £40. Food was absolutely tasteless. Don’t order from that place. Shame on them, especially on chef in the kitchen!

Lamb balti tasted nice but was inedible purely because of the amount of spice it had. Balti in my experience is medium heat, this feels like a madras

Really tasty, fresh food, everything arrived as expected, would recommend and use again Only ask is to add onion salad as an order item with the popadoms, I know you added a free mixed salad (thumbs up for that) but you can’t beat a traditional Uk takeaway Indian onion salad :)

We could not be more happy with our food. We have not had any takeaways of this quality in a long time and definitely the best curry any of us have had in the UK! Nice poppadoms. Nice Nan bread. Great onion Baji. Buttered chicken…not so good. Very weak sauce and odd flavour.

The food was cold and butter chicken was full with oil. If you want to eat an oil curry then feel free to come here I was shocked at how oily the food this mad me feel disgusted. The salad came in a carry bag not packed properly at all. Looked like someone just threw it into the bag seemed quite unprofessional. Ended up throwing the food away and ordering in pizza as food wasn’t eatable. I do not recommend this place had a very bad experience please do not come here.

Never used this place before as in usually stick to what I know , after looking at the reviews and taking a gamble , well !! This was one of the best curry’s I have ever had , amazing flavours , nice and hot on arrival and a real pleasure to eat . Thanks for a great experience

always late - never delivered on time

Ordered onion bharjis, vegetable samosa, poppadoms & raita. So tasty & prepared beautifully. Will definitely order a bigger menu next time.

2nd time trying here again in the last year. Unfortunately won’t be ordering again. It’s not unpleasant and portion sizes are good, however both times everything is cooked in the same gravy. We had a jalfrezi, bhuna and aloo gobi. All looked and tasted the same. The rice was quite mushy and I wonder how much of this is frozen.

I never leave reviews, but I found I needed too this time. After living in Gravesend for 4 years I have finally found my go to Indian restaurant. Really nice food! I will be back to order again. Please keep up the great service :)

The vegetable dish options were very lacking. The one we ordered was bland and not spicy enough. For the price, not impressed at all.

Very polite and competent delivery man, food was steaming hot, garnishes were still intact and a complementary popadom. When I got to actually taste the food, it was stunning. Not a traditional English Indian... menu but whatever they do do, it’s done well. What I asked for and more. 10/10 will order again!

Great food but the order arrived a little bit over one hour late than it was supposed to. I will stick with the more local restaurants from now.

Absolutely delicious food as always. By far the best Indian takeaway in the area in my opinion. It was a little late due to the weather and because they were busy. Called them for an update, they apologised as food arrived within 15 mins.. The delivery driver also apologised on delivery, we got free poppadoms and food was well worth the wait. Can’t fault this place 😊

The food is usually lovely but everything had the same runny curry sauce over it. The curry and Bombay potato both had the same very runny sauce poured over them. Potatos weren't cooked to be soft, still quite hard. And the funny sauce over everything with the same flavour was very disappointing. Never like this when we eat in

At last we have found an Indian takeaway we love after a year and a half of loving here. Food was piping hot and very delicious. Tender meat, flavoursome sauce - couldn’t fault it. Will definitely order again from here. Very happy.

The food is normally delicious, we waited over an hour for delivery and when it turned up it was Luke warm, bread was dry and cold, chicken was dry and edges burnt. It’s a shame normally this is the best Indian Resturant in Gravesend, quite disappointing to be honest. Not a good feeling for New Year’s Eve. I think I would have preferred you telling me you were too busy to fulfil the order, at least I could have some hot food from somewhere else, I will never forgive cold food.

Took 2.5 hrs to deliver. The food was cold due to the late delivery. Disappointed!!

Shocking service by just eat yet again and the restaurant are non contactable! The third time in 3 weeks our takeaway has been over an hour late. The people on the phone at just eat are woeful to deal with as well! Happy new year

I have eaten a lot of sag aloo in my time on this earth, but never, and I repeat never has it been brown in colour. A real dissapointment from start to finish, extended delivery time (new years eve so I gave a bit leeway for that), food cold, samosa's dry and powdery, onion bhajee looked like it had been frozen. Chucked most of it in the bin. £37 wasted. Happy New Year.

I always ordered from the same local, but last month I decided to try this place out. Since then I have ordered multiple times and have officially made this my go-to curry house! Amazing flavours. Lovely staff. Good portion sizes. Really good food and always a pleasant experience, I totally recommend!

This is my 3rd visit to this restaurant, and I must say it has not failed our expectations. The food was amazing and I especially loved the Aloo Papri Chaat and the Quorn Madras. The service was also quick and nice. The waiter was coming and checking if we needed anything and had a friendly attitude. I would definitely visit again and would highly recommend this restaurant.

Worst take away I have ever had - hardly any meat in chicken Karahi or the chicken jalfrezi - no flavour in jalfrezi sauce - one poppadum was soggy- good size portions but quite a long wait for delivery (hour)

We love the food from Rasoi Ghar, but we have a few criticisms about our meal last night. There were far too few pieces of cauliflower in the gobi bhaji, and the Rogan Josh and Laal Maas were unnecessarily saucy. Hopefully next time these issues can be rectified.

Rasoi Ghar has become our favourite restaurant. Menu is authentic, food is cooked superbly, take-aways are heaven-sent! Go for a Channa Massala to realise how elegant simple food can be.

Good quality food but too spicy

I have just wasted over £20. I ordered a butter chicken because I like mild curry and it had so much chilli oil that I couldn’t eat it. The Peshwari naan bread just like dough and had no sweetness to it. The mango had never seen a mango and the Bombay potato was too hot to eat. It was so horrible that we both through it away.

Our food delivery arrived about 3 mins early, I was nice and hot to touch. The best Curry we have ever had and being a takeaway as well, that is really excellent. We will be buying from Rasoi Ghar again.
