The best restaurants serving Indian food in Eastbourne South East

We arrived at the restaurant with friends quite late as we’d been to the theatre. We did not at any point feel rushed, the food was superb and the decor and extra touches were amazing. Highly recommend

Myself and 3 friends ate at the Dolma last night it was superb,we all had starters and mains and were treated to some ice cream which had been made earlier in the day as a complimentary sweet.The menu has dishes that I have never heard of before the chicken dumplings (momo) were outstanding. We were made to feel more like members of the family than paying customers we will definitely be returning soon.

The food was amazing and the staff were so attentive. The starter i ordered was too spicy for me (my fault i was advised) Maria offered several solutions to my dilemma so was so helpful. I 100% recommend you visit

Good location on Terminus Riad, just off the seafront. Lovely, welcomimg, friendly, polite staff and good atmosphere. Very busy (a good sign for a Sunday evening). However, food was just warm, quite small portions and what we had wasn't special and a bit bland. We had 1 poppadom each, 1 starter each, we shared a biryani and shared 1 side, bottle of house wine and bill was £65.50 plus tip on top of that, so quite expensive for an Indian meal we thought.

Bought the ‘set menu A’ that just eat offered (meant to be for 2 people) and three of us were completely full! Massive portions, beautiful tastes that flood your mouth and fantastic poppadoms!! No waiting around for food to be delivered, told an hour and got it early! Fantastic restaurant, cannot wait to order again!

We had a great meal here we ordered 2 curries rice poppadoms and pershwari naan to share. Service great.The food tasty. Will definately return. They have a good choice and some different dishes which am looking forward to try out. Next door to Thayers ice cream parlour.

Really good food, and good service.

This was one of the best restaurants I've been to!! The service is quick and organised, the food was delicious - the rest of the food could be taken home in containers , and the atmosphere was comfortable.

Forgot one of the curry’s I ordered. The onion bhajis we couldn’t eat as they was like rocks. And I can’t even get a refund on the food the was missed. Won’t be ordering again.

Unfortunately It has been a few months since we last visited. Tonight the Ashoka again showed why in our opinion it is absolutely the best Indian restaurant in the area. The service and staff were outstanding; attentive, professional and friendly as always. The food was brilliant: Chicken Jalfrezi, Chicken Chittinad, Chicken Passanda and King Prawn Naga were all balanced and delicious. All the accompaniments were also excellent. Thank you to all the staff in the restaurant and in the kitchen. We’ll be back soon and would recommend everyone to visit. You will not be disappointed!
