The best restaurants serving Indian food in Eastbourne South East

We spotted this restaurant as we were walking by. It was full of people & really buzzing. We checked out the menu & really liked the food choices. We booked for next day & the restaurant didn't disappoint. We were served with politeness & we asked for recommendations & they were happy to assist. Starters were the dosa, & prawns cooked fresh. We had the lamb biriyani. I had vegetarian dishes the mixed vegetables, mushroom & pototoe curry & the paneer spinach plus chappatti. The food was delicious & the spice was absolutely spot on for us. The service was excellent & we would certainly go back if we're in Eastbourne.

We arrived at the restaurant with friends quite late as we’d been to the theatre. We did not at any point feel rushed, the food was superb and the decor and extra touches were amazing. Highly recommend

Was recommended Dolma kitchen by a friend- it did not disappoint! Momos were the best! Food was lovely - owner was really helpful and advised us regarding dishes to order - he was really friendly and chatty. Food was tasty hot and presented well. Cannot fault anything it was all delicious . Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning. Thank you 🤩

Very good here, probably the best Indian food in Eastbourne

I had the absolute pleasure of eating at Tuk Tuk last night. The tikka masala was the best I have ever tasted and being gluten free I eat this dish a lot. The staff were super nice and the atmosphere was chilled with great music.

My wife and I stayed at the Best Western hotel in Eastbourne and we decided to visit this little restaurant for dinner and we were not disappointed! The service was great and the food was sublime! My wife ordered the mixed grill and a naan bread whereas I had the Chicken Jalfrezi (my personal favourite). Overall it was one of the greatest curries we ever had and the naan bread was outstanding as it was super soft, buttery and full of garlicky flavour. We will definitely visit again! A+++++

Ordered chicken tikka Balti but it had too much lemon juice and did not taste of anything else. That’s the reason for 3 stars.

Delicious food, but the Just Eat menu gave no option but to order and pay for a side order of rice with a Biryani (rice dish), but the food arrived without the extra rice and the rice ordered with another dish was also missing.

Forgot one of the curry’s I ordered. The onion bhajis we couldn’t eat as they was like rocks. And I can’t even get a refund on the food the was missed. Won’t be ordering again.

Ok so what can I say I ordered food from uber last night from here and it looked like it was micro waved food I don’t have any pics of it as I just throw it away the food was swimming in oil it tasted like it came out of a packet also the delivery driver wasn’t happy too when he delivered it I had messaged uber about this but they said no refund yes it was quick delivery but that means that food was pre cooked sorry spice gardens but I won’t be coming back now

We went to the Elvis night on 28 01 25 and it was so fun! The Suspiciously Elvis was humorous and entertaining, he got the whole restaurant singing and dancing. The food was great - loved the appetisers, lamb bhuna and the Bombay potatoes! We went home full and happy - a great night out!

Unfortunately It has been a few months since we last visited. Tonight the Ashoka again showed why in our opinion it is absolutely the best Indian restaurant in the area. The service and staff were outstanding; attentive, professional and friendly as always. The food was brilliant: Chicken Jalfrezi, Chicken Chittinad, Chicken Passanda and King Prawn Naga were all balanced and delicious. All the accompaniments were also excellent. Thank you to all the staff in the restaurant and in the kitchen. We’ll be back soon and would recommend everyone to visit. You will not be disappointed!

Lovely food. Very accommodating staff. Esp. Ahmed, he makes you feel at ease. Great location.

Got there quite late in the evening but they were more than helpful . Excellent food. Friendly service. Even brought our order out to our car for us. Highly recommend 👍
