The best restaurants serving Indian food in Eastbourne South East

5 stars all the way, looking forward to going back v soon. The food and the service were both top notch. Go along, you will be delighted that you did!

We arrived at the restaurant with friends quite late as we’d been to the theatre. We did not at any point feel rushed, the food was superb and the decor and extra touches were amazing. Highly recommend

Myself and 3 friends ate at the Dolma last night it was superb,we all had starters and mains and were treated to some ice cream which had been made earlier in the day as a complimentary sweet.The menu has dishes that I have never heard of before the chicken dumplings (momo) were outstanding. We were made to feel more like members of the family than paying customers we will definitely be returning soon.

Really impressive - great service and superb food. Reasonably priced and served piping hot. The tuk tuk special is delicious as was the butter chicken. Not huge portions but plenty big enough and £65 for 2. Highly recommended!

Very good here, probably the best Indian food in Eastbourne

My wife and I stayed at the Best Western hotel in Eastbourne and we decided to visit this little restaurant for dinner and we were not disappointed! The service was great and the food was sublime! My wife ordered the mixed grill and a naan bread whereas I had the Chicken Jalfrezi (my personal favourite). Overall it was one of the greatest curries we ever had and the naan bread was outstanding as it was super soft, buttery and full of garlicky flavour. We will definitely visit again! A+++++

Went on a quiet Tuesday just after it opened. Had a fabulous meal made spicy on request. Everything perfect from food to the service.

Forgot one of the curry’s I ordered. The onion bhajis we couldn’t eat as they was like rocks. And I can’t even get a refund on the food the was missed. Won’t be ordering again.

Ok so what can I say I ordered food from uber last night from here and it looked like it was micro waved food I don’t have any pics of it as I just throw it away the food was swimming in oil it tasted like it came out of a packet also the delivery driver wasn’t happy too when he delivered it I had messaged uber about this but they said no refund yes it was quick delivery but that means that food was pre cooked sorry spice gardens but I won’t be coming back now

Worst Valentines night I've ever been to. Waited nearly 20 mins for complementary drinks and only received because we went to bar and requested...had to wait to order bottles of wine...service slow...food mediocre...musical entertainment finished before we had finished main course, if the music had carried on we would have been dancing and spent a lot more on wine....bad management....people were paying and then going to bar next door. Would not recommend

Unfortunately It has been a few months since we last visited. Tonight the Ashoka again showed why in our opinion it is absolutely the best Indian restaurant in the area. The service and staff were outstanding; attentive, professional and friendly as always. The food was brilliant: Chicken Jalfrezi, Chicken Chittinad, Chicken Passanda and King Prawn Naga were all balanced and delicious. All the accompaniments were also excellent. Thank you to all the staff in the restaurant and in the kitchen. We’ll be back soon and would recommend everyone to visit. You will not be disappointed!

Amazing place will go again 10/10 service and delicious food

Try find something to eat on a Sunday night… almost every restaurant was closed, here we did find a welcoming and nice place. Food came very quick and was really delicious. Especially the spinach paneer was really good!
