The best restaurants serving Indian food in Eastbourne South East

We spotted this restaurant as we were walking by. It was full of people & really buzzing. We checked out the menu & really liked the food choices. We booked for next day & the restaurant didn't disappoint. We were served with politeness & we asked for recommendations & they were happy to assist. Starters were the dosa, & prawns cooked fresh. We had the lamb biriyani. I had vegetarian dishes the mixed vegetables, mushroom & pototoe curry & the paneer spinach plus chappatti. The food was delicious & the spice was absolutely spot on for us. The service was excellent & we would certainly go back if we're in Eastbourne.

Most tastiest meal I have had for a long time. Throughly enjoyed the experience and food. The chilli squid was delicious and the chicken danshak was incredible Highly recommend

Myself and 3 friends ate at the Dolma last night it was superb,we all had starters and mains and were treated to some ice cream which had been made earlier in the day as a complimentary sweet.The menu has dishes that I have never heard of before the chicken dumplings (momo) were outstanding. We were made to feel more like members of the family than paying customers we will definitely be returning soon.

Fantastic food , Great Service , Nice Staff

My wife and I stayed at the Best Western hotel in Eastbourne and we decided to visit this little restaurant for dinner and we were not disappointed! The service was great and the food was sublime! My wife ordered the mixed grill and a naan bread whereas I had the Chicken Jalfrezi (my personal favourite). Overall it was one of the greatest curries we ever had and the naan bread was outstanding as it was super soft, buttery and full of garlicky flavour. We will definitely visit again! A+++++

Tourists or visitors, please don't fall into this trap. It's not a South Indian restaurant. I don't even know what cuisine it is. The sad part is, I asked the guy whether it is a real South Indian restaurant or not, and he said the boss is from South India. At least he could have been genuine to the customers.

Really good restaurant. We went here for a work Christmas party. The service was very fast and super friendly. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced and the atmosphere was great . Highly recommend

Forgot one of the curry’s I ordered. The onion bhajis we couldn’t eat as they was like rocks. And I can’t even get a refund on the food the was missed. Won’t be ordering again.

Excellent food, and an issue with the order was quickly rectified. Would recommend.

Very professional yet cosy, food is great

Unfortunately It has been a few months since we last visited. Tonight the Ashoka again showed why in our opinion it is absolutely the best Indian restaurant in the area. The service and staff were outstanding; attentive, professional and friendly as always. The food was brilliant: Chicken Jalfrezi, Chicken Chittinad, Chicken Passanda and King Prawn Naga were all balanced and delicious. All the accompaniments were also excellent. Thank you to all the staff in the restaurant and in the kitchen. We’ll be back soon and would recommend everyone to visit. You will not be disappointed!

Got there quite late in the evening but they were more than helpful . Excellent food. Friendly service. Even brought our order out to our car for us. Highly recommend 👍
