Very good here, probably the best Indian food in Eastbourne

Having been a customer for around 6 years (possibly more) I'm unsure as to why it's taken me this long to write a review about this place!! I cannot rate it high enough. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff are always so lovely and accommodating (I love a vindaloo but like it less hot haha!) The curry is always spot on too! I don't think in all the years, we've ever had a bad meal! Thank you very much Curry King! Look forward to our next, which I'm sure will be real soon!!

Amazing food- full of flavour and not at all oily , everything we ordered was perfect apart from the raita which was just plain yoghurt

Arrived late at night in our camper van up the road from these guys....delivered to our motorhome within 30 minutes.....lovely food ,great service,nice people.....definitely recommend if your wild camping in car park as they do deliver.....Happy days

Used to come here years ago no real reason why it stopped but so glad to have rediscovered it the food it just delicious & the prices are so good to Thank you to all the the curry king We are & staying here.

The chicken tikka dansak was more like a lukewarm very sweet passanda.. the bread wasn’t fresh.. we ordered and paid for pilau rice, but were delivered ordinary boiled rice and one other curry dish was just alright!! The whole meal was terrible and we’re NEVER EVER GOING BACK!

We have been using Curry King for 21 years. It is consistently excellent food and service. I can honestly say that whenever we go to friends who use a different take away it is never as good in fact in most cases it's not even close.

Really good flavoursome food, we had two hot Currys which despite the chilli heat had amazing flavours, really well priced, good portion sizes, and quick collection time. I would highly recommend this curry house, many thanks we will be back soon, A***

The tikka masala was very good, i highly recommend. The butter chicken however was absolutely horrendous. It was way to sweet and tasted almost just like coconut. It is almost as it was trying to be a dessert. Also, it was not fatty at all which butter chicken is supposed to be. Service was quick and good though

This was perhaps the worst curry takeaway we’ve ever had. It was so disappointing! I ordered a vegetable pasanda - it arrived a pale yellow colour and was very watery. It also contained broccoli and sweet corn inside which I’ve never had on a curry before? I’m wondering if the vegetables came from a frozen mixed veg packet. It tasted really odd. My partner had the chicken bhuna and it was extremely dry and flavourless. All the food felt bland and over cooked. We felt really let down and would have preferred to spend £30 in a supermarket.

Une très belle découverte, je ne connaissais pas la cuisine indienne et c'est une très bonne surprise grâce à ce restaurant sur je recommande sans problème. Pensez à prendre un bol de riz pour accompagner votre plat. Riz qui est par ailleurs très bon.

Dhanask was far too sweet and not spicy. Should be sweet, sour and spicy. Bhuna had no spice or flavour at all , very bland. Bombay pots little flavour . Onion bhaji were good . Shame because everything seemed nice n fresh just lacked flavour and too much sugar .

Ordered chicken tikka, hariyali chicken, garlic naan, veg rice and tarka daal. Starters were a bit disappointing but dal and rice were good.

Ordered takeaway and disappointingly it was delivered later than promised. Thankfully food was delicious and after previously complaining about the late delivery, to his credit, the owner subsequently delivered a full refund, in person, as promised. Will use again.

Over previous years, I have never been in the shop just ordered. Yet never disappointed, I never really knew the people inside, however today that all changed. It was roughly 9 o clock, needing something blessed with kindness, a homely feel and a good sense of original family food, I walked in there. Curry king. I was instantly invited to order at the till. I didn’t know what to order, but I was helped out by the man at the till who recommended me a wonderful chicken curry. When I sat down on the Comfy soothing leather sofa, I was offered a choice of either a free onion barge, or a popadom on the house. This was including the 10 per cent discount that the man gave me. Not understanding why they were so generous (especially with portion sizes) I wasn’t complaining.

Easily the best takeaway curry I have had. Always consistent and great service too!

Had their meal deal for two at the weekend. They do a fantastic madras and very tasty Bombay potatoes. The Korma tasted unusual and was discarded. The condiments ie sauces for poppadoms were utterly disgusting - need to go back to the drawing board on these!The naan bread was probably the best I’ve ever had. All delivered very quickly too.

Top place to go, myself and my gf are celiacs and lactose intolerant. All the staff go through all the ingredients in the food and double check everything. They are very conscientious. They are super friendly and welcoming, once home the food is fantastic and a win win for me and my lady. Big thanks to all the staff All the best D

Ordered from Curry King for the first time this evening, The food was excellent,full of flavour will definitely be ordering from them again.

First time we have ordered from Curry King. Unfortunately we found that the spicy dishes were quite sweet without a kick of spice and heat. They delivered promptly and were really lovely over the phone. Might give them one more try but order something that should have a bit of humf to it. Thank you though for what we did receive. Onion barjes were great!

We’ve been ordering from The Curry King for a few years now. I really can’t recommend them enough .We usually have the set meal for 2. It such great value. It’s always good but last night was exceptional! We had a lamb balti and chicken tikka garlic for mains. The lamb just fell apart, it was perfect and the flavours were amazing. The chicken tikka garlic (my favourite)was just as flavoursome. My mouth is watering thinking about it again! Thank you Curry King

The food from here is just stunning, my favourite curry house in Eastbourne, great service friendly people, tasty food not had a bad meal yet, stunning NARGA but I have a new favourite Chicken Marshia, highly highly recommended, martin ocklynge court

I didn’t know I liked curry until I discovered curry king. The chicken korma is to die for. The portions are very generous. The guys at the front are amazing and have customer service down to a tee. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Curries were pleasant enough although they lacked seasoning, would have liked them slightly spicier. Temperature wise all the food was very hot when I got them home.

Ordered a selection of lots of different things for 5 people. The foods arrived within 45 minutes. The food was very tasty. All the curries come with plain rice included in the price They even threw in some extra onion bhajis for us too.

We have been using CK for many years but just recently their service levels and quality of food/meat has declined significantly. Our past few orders not only took well over 90 minutes for delivery but were also wrong which included a prawn curry (my wife is allergic to seafood as they know because we are regulars) Having spoken to the owner he kindly offered us a free takeaway as he didn't want to lose our custom. We always have the set meal for 2 with 3x additional dishes added, which of course are extra. On the 15.05.20 we ordered our regular meals but despite the owners knowledge of his original offer, he proceeded to charge us £10 for the extra 3x dishes. When questioned, he told me that all he was prepared to cover was the set meal price and insisted this has to be paid. I should have seen the light because what we paid actually covered the cost of the free order and more, so the owner wouldn't be out of pocket. CK have now lost our custom and we will never use them again.

Wow, just had a meal from there and was very impressed. I have experience eating Indian food and have to say curry king is amazing. The customer service is good and the food is even better. I would strongly recommend the Chicken Tikka Briyani.

Best take out curry and has been for years, should of 'shouted about' it sooner. Never too late as they say and highly recommended to all.

Definitely recommend, I usually go for the lamb bryiani. It's exceptionally good.

Curry wasn't very nice at all we tried korma and lamb curry, chips are cheap frozen chips stone cold. Expensive and not very nice.

I used to live above this restaurant almost 15 years ago and got takeaways several times a week. I was pretty much addicted to this place (not that I was lazy), their Korma and Madras were the best. Glad to see the place still open.

Went in for a take out. The staff were incredibly friendly and food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be going back.

Debo decir que normalmente no soy el único que se toma el tiempo para escribir una reseña, pero en esta ocasión pensé que sería grosero no hacerlo. El mejor curry que he tenido en mucho tiempo. Pedí el baji de cebolla y un cordero madras wow, terminé el lote. Los Bajies de cebolla eran perfectos, 4 bolas pequeñas del cielo con un chapuzón encantador, no lo suficiente como para asustarte, pero lo suficiente como para hacer que quieras volver por más (hablando de una chica que nunca comería 2) y el cordero Madras era derretir en tu boca bootilicious. Felicitaciones al chef estará comiendo su comida pronto mamá felizGema

2 because their service is quite good. They were friendly enough at the counter. But my gosh their food was terrible. The curries have absolutely no flavour and they didn’t give us the right rice, or they made a mistake on our pilau rice. Just wouldn’t recommend it because at the end of the day, it’s the food that matters.

Pedí un llevar para ser entregado y me dijeron que sería de unos 60 minutos, fue.Los dos popadoms estaban completamente rotos, sabían bien.Cuatro de nosotros comimos - 3 eran comestibles, una comida - uno de los "especiales de los cocineros" fue tan horrible que mi hijo lo dejó porque tenía un sabor amargo muy fuerte. Era el shatkora nawabi que era pechuga de pollo. Lo probé también y fue rango. No lo habría comido tampoco.Tuve un kashmiri con pollo que tenía 3 lichis, sabía bien y el arroz hervido estaba bien.Los otros dos miembros de la familia tenían platos diferentes, uno tenía un korma de pollo con arroz frito con huevo y el otro tenía delicias de mango de cordero, que era otro de los especiales de los cocineros.Ambos encontraron un pelo en sus comidas, ¡puaj! El dueño de este lugar necesita hacer que todos los chefs usen redecillas para el cabello. Los pelos eran de diferentes longitudes y colores de las personas que los encontraron, por lo que los pelos definitivamente no eran su propio cabello.Debido a los grandes problemas que sufrimos y lo repugnante que me hizo sentir, este lugar nunca más lo usaremos.

Hemos sido clientes habituales de Curry King durante casi 10 años y la comida ha sido excelente durante todo ese tiempo. La comida siempre es deliciosa y está bien presentada; la comida es muy sabrosa y bien condimentada, no demasiado grasosa y cada plato es diferente.

Definitely not curry king. Even the curry didn't even taste like ordinary street curry, it was below average and I didn't appreciate the food colouring at all.

Had a few curries from here a little while ago and was really looking forward to it from all the 5 star reviews, but both curries were sickly sweet (and no they weren't kormas) and there was bizarre food colouring used (bright green chicken tikka anyone?)

I moved to Eastbourne from London 4 months ago, I wanted good Indian for sooo looong. I found other places and was somewhat disappointed with them.

Ordered delivery from here while away for the weekend. It was busy as it was a Friday night however food arrived within 45 minutes and was really delicious. Would recommend this place!

Nos trasladamos a la zona hace unos meses, y habían estado usando otro Indio para nuestra tiendas y no había sido muy impresionado, yo no paraba de ver coches Curry kings localmente y pensé que lo pruebe, así que me alegro. Wow mejor indio que he tenido en años y no ir a ningún otro lugar. He encontrado nuestra llevar el cielo.

Title says it all, you won't be disappointed. Really friendly staff who will help you choose. If you like prawns go for the dansak- it's the best. Been getting takeaway from here for about 20 years!

great value, prompt service and dead handy. This is mainstream UK curry, IMO...in that it has sugar added. Whilst they use chicken breast it can sometimes seem a little watery. However, if you are looking for great value, tasty straightforward Indian nosh then you won't be disappointed. They do cook fresh ingredients - I saw my order being cooked in the background. The set meal option for two is great value, coming with a drink at under £20 and there is plenty of it. Mainstream, done right. Deservedly popular.

Tuve para llevar ordenados de Curry King hace muchos años y no me impresionó tan recientemente ordenados desde otro lugar. Sin embargo tenía comida para llevar el viernes pasado y fue excelente en todos los sentidos así que ahora hacen de este lugar el lugar de elección. Todo lo que puedo decir es que si lo intentó hace años y nos decepcionó luego volver de nuevo.
