Curry Leaf in Eastbourne

Forgot one of the curry’s I ordered. The onion bhajis we couldn’t eat as they was like rocks. And I can’t even get a refund on the food the was missed. Won’t be ordering again.

Food was delicious. It was very tasty. We had curry before which was bland but the curry here was just gorgeous.

Wow - I have just had the most amazing King Prawn Balti ever!!! on a diet so had to skip the bread, rice and sundries but the quality and quantity of the main event was top shelf. The prawn was cooked butterfly style, lovely and juicy, the sauce was quite mild and very moreish. Had it with a dry veg dish - excellent. Would definately reccommen based on my visit - really nice staff, very attentive. The place itself had an authentica feel to it

The worst restaurant in town don’t recommend anyone their food are just waste

Absolute s××t when turned, food was cold and a dish missing when I complained was told send back and I shall microwave to make hot, extremely rude man on phone, will not be using again and would advise other people to go else where.

Food was really not cooked, less portion, not a good meal to eat. Won't repeat my order again from curry leaf. Really disappointed

Delivery time was ahead of schedule which is always nice and the food did arrive hot however items were missing. I ordered the set meal for one with a couple extra poppadoms and mint sauce. The extra poppadoms and mint sauce were not with my order. The Nan bread was burnt and the one poppadoms I did receive was all smashed up. The curry itself was ok, nothing I couldn’t knock up myself so disappointing. Wouldn’t recommend ordering from here.

Everything was just delicious, however, there is so much oil in the dishes! I’m conflicted want to order again but the oil has put me off a bit!

The food was all cooked fresh and was really nice. Naan bread was squishy and fab. Loved the korai and the dansak. Tikka masala wasnt my favourite. Too sweet and not enough depth really. All of the chicken was melt in the mouth and a great amount of it in each dish. Rice was well cooked. Mint sauce was very watery sadly. Onion bhajis were crispy and well fried. Nice bombay potatoes, all cooked though, no rawness. Salad was fresh. Guy indoors was friendly. Overall very happy with my food

Best Indian we have had in a very long time. Food was lovely and hot. Loved that you get the mango chutney and lime pickle with the meal deal. Food was tasty. Will defiantly be back and recommend to everyone

The mixed kebab starter at £5+ when you get 4 tea spoon pieces of meat is a joke so that’s a no. Flavour nice though but not worth money. Watered down Raita so much so there’s no flavour. Mango chutney nice though. Delivery was as it stated (after ordering) but longer than the original estimate given and I feel 1hr+ before 6pm is excessive. Curry nice enough etx Good offer on.

Usually always have a great meal from here, Valentine’s Day so expected it to be late which it was. Food wasn’t overly hot unfortunately and they missed off my drink.

Once the order was placed, the estimated time of arrival jumped to 1.5 hours. Had I known I wouldn’t have ordered. The lamb was fatty and disappointing and not worth the wait

Delivery was estimated 30 min before placing the order then 1 to 1h20 and it was even delayed after it. Restaurant was nice to add extra curry to the order.

Food was extremely greasy!! The bag with the onion bahjis had gone transparent with the amount of oil that had come off them!!! Just tasted like we were eating a ball of grease, yuck!!! Ordered chicken pakora’s and it definitely was not a chicken pakora, tasted more like a veggie patty and had no meat in whatsoever!!! That was just incredibly oily too!!! Curry’s we’re nice but the poor sides made the whole meal quite un-joyable. Glad we had the 50% off deal otherwise it would have been £50 wasted!!!!!

Of the four meals ordered, 3 of us were very happy, 1 was happy, but felt the food was a little salty for their taste. Delivery time was good. Value was excellent due to the discount offered.

Two curries were delivered via Just Eat for The Curry Leaf in Eastbourne. We have had a curry from here before with no problems, this time the korma was so watered down it was tasteless, the lamb madras was ultra hot 🥵 my husband said his mouth was on fire. So disappointed, even more so because this was a birthday treat. Most of them both went in the bin, at just over £28 this is unacceptable. If you are reading this Curry Leaf I would request a refund, tonight's meal was nowhere near your good standards.

This time the two curries were awful, the Korma was watered down so much it tasted awful, and the madras was ultra hot, far too hot even for a madras. I am requesting a refund, they are normally good, but not this time.

Although great service the food left a lot to be desired. The tikka masala had so much coconut in it, it was more like a butter chicken or dessert. The keema naan had no meat in it at all and none of the food was hot. This restaurant used to be really good, not sure what's happened?

1st time I have had an issue! Food nearly an hour late, rang curry leaf and got a free bottle of coke! I didn’t want a drink I wanted my dinner!

Would not order again. Food arrived cold, bland and very disappointing. The textures where all wrong and our naan way undercooked and doughy.

First time ordering from Curry Leaf and I must say it was lovely. I used to use Tumeric but for some reason they aren’t on JUSTEAT any more. We had Lamb Madras, Passanda, Bombay Aloo. The poppadoms were lovely, fresh and crisp. Food was hot and tasted fresh. Will definitely be ordering from here again.

Confusion from delivery driver on arrival as she had rung someone different who reported the food had been delivered! Food was only like warm & small amount of lamb tikka for main but very tasty and discounted as Tuesday.

Took ages and ages but the food was hot and delicious

Very, very oily food paper bag was ripped from how much oil was overflowing and just about held up in the plastic bag. It had also stained my unit from where the bag was sat on it while trying to plate up. Wouldn’t recommend!

last time i ordered a bhindi bhajee it was so delicous that i have convinced my daughter to try it instead of the brinjal bhajee. Todays bhindi bhajee was horrible, it was sliced and not cooked enough and stringy. Completely different. What a shame. That means that I can't trust you to serve up the same standard. My dhansak is beautiful.

Food delivered 2.5 hours after ordering phoned quite a few times to check on order restaurant not answering phone - food cold and almost inedible due to just tasting of salt so salty actually horrible- won’t order from here again

They took ages to deliver the food and when it did arrive it was nothing sensational. A shame as this place was once superb.

Food fantastic, staff attentive and meet me at the door and even knew what my order was. Chef came out and talked to me about the food which was a nice touch. Go here and you won't need anywhere else. Impressive. Chicken Tikka Dupiaza and mushroom rice.

DON'T GET FROM HERE. Although ordered at 19:08 didn't receive 20:50 After calling stressing how upset i was. She asked me to collect! After second phone call. Saying this poor service.. she said she was calling the driver to cancel my order! Luckily i saw the driver.. Rude service

Food was amazing as always, on time, hot, only let down were the chips were a bit dry and hard. But it’s bank holiday, I expected it! Amazing food regardless though! Curry is always so fresh!

We had a take away delivered. We've had a meal from here a couple of times. My dansak this time was watery whereas it should have been thick with lentils. The pasanda tasted of coconut more than anything else. The pilau rice tasted like plain over boiled rice. Otherwise all ok. Ha ha.

We always visit when we are in Eastbourne and we're not disappointed. The food and service was fantastic as always. We tried the tandoori grill this time, alongside our usual choices and it was delicious!

Showed 20 mins collection vs 45 delivery so went for collection. Confirmed collection as 60 mins when I’d placed the order. Got to restaurant - got half way home and realised half the order was missing. Had to wait for them to cook it. No refund or compensation offered. Finally got to eat at 8pm (ordered at 1830).

Yet again turned up covered in oil. Went in the bin, again. Last time it happened I thought I would give it another try as it used to be so nice but now it’s happened twice I wouldn’t order from here again. I called the restaurant, didn’t even get an apology. I asked if they would take it off the next order and they said yeah whatever and put the phone down. Avoid this if you want a curry without a bottle of olive oil. Very sad as used to be lovely.

Disgusting food and customer service. I have ordered from this place for over a year and it’s been lovely. Tonight the saag panner and saag aloo were half topped up by oil, so when I poured them onto my plate all the other dishes were ruined and the whole meal swimming in oil so had to throw away all the food. I phoned the restaurant and kept being told they would send me another one. The lady did not listen to me when I said it’s now nearly 9pm I don’t want another one. She then told me to call Just Eat to get a refund. I suggested to her that good customer service would not be me now having 1) no food and 2) having to sit on hold to Just eat. I asked her what she would suggest. She said she would refund the money only on the basis I didn’t write a review. Well the £22 is not worth it I would rather write the review and go elsewhere in future if that is the now level of food and customer service on offer. Such a shame this restaurant used to be amazing. No one minds having a bad meal delivered every now and again these things happen. What is not acceptable is bad customer service to deal with the problem. Maybe a lesson learnt for the restaurant in the future.

I'm new to Eastbourne and have been struggling to find decent takeaways. This is hands down one of the best curries I've ever had. 2nd time ordering and definitely won't be the last 👌

Unfortunately due to food being delivered later than we were told some of our guests had left and we didn’t need all the food we were delivered. A lot of food went to waste unfortunately

Such a beautiful curry. All 3 of us were extremely pleased with our choices. Food arrived on time and hot. My husband who can be quite picky devoured all of his. The extra’s like the bread etc were very nice. I would order again and recommend.

Food delivery was great but I didn't get the discount I qualified for as a first order. I was told it was NOT the delivery driver or Curry leaf who gave the discount but just eat and yet I have no contact details for Just Eat to do this as the email came back directing me here which is just about the food and delivery! I will NOT be using Just East again unless someone contacts me. My order was for over £100 and as well as not getting the first order discount was charged for delivery AND a service charge. DISGUSTING! PS. How do I rate restaurant service when it is takeaway?? I couldn't submit this without answering this!
