We have enjoyed pleasant meal here last night, we have turned up without reservation and there were able to accommodate us, the staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable of their menu, very tasty food, well cooked, we tried tandoori prawn starter, chilli lamb, goan chicken, dall naaga, garlick rice, lemon rice and garlick and chilli naan, they all were delicious and reasonable price, highly recommend this hidden gem, amazing service, made us very welcome, can’t wait to no back, thanks

Just had a amazing meal, garlic chilli prawn, pàlak bhaji and rice, they all were scrumptious, staff always so friendly and welcoming. Recommend

Fantastic food and incredibly friendly service, they allow dogs, the food is super quick to come out, and very very tasty, the rajasthani chicken was a standout, all the dishes was tasty, real hidden gem, went here on Tuesday night and we had a amazing time, we have tried many Indian cuisine places and this was by far the best, great variety of options, reasonable price, a must visit if you're in the area, will be back soon, thanks

We visited this restaurant based on Trip Adviser recommendation and were unfortunately very disappointed. We were staying in Eastbourne for a long weekend and decided to go on the Saturday evening. We ordered our drinks being a pint of their draught lager and a miniature bottle of Prosecco. They arrived at the table with the pint being warm and a glass full of ice for my Prosecco??? We told the waiter we did not want ice but he said these have not been in the fridge. My husband exchanged his beer for a bottle which was equally as warm. We persevered and went ahead to order our food. One of the dishes was not as described on the menu and arrived with Chicken Tikka meat instead of just chicken. When we challenged this the waiter had no valid response. One of the side dishes was forgotten so we had to ask for it (I know this is easily done) We do love an Indian meal and unfortunately this was of very low standard and disappointing. I have to say they were not attentive but it seemed to be busy on take outs so this is probably why! We should have thought things weren't right when we arrived at 8pm on a Saturday evening, beginning of the month and there were only 2 tables of 2 in there!!!! Sorry very unusual to give negative review but only right others should know. I would not agree this restaurant is 4/5 star.

Plenty of seatings inside the restaurant, low volume music playing in the background Pros - food was fresh - good and quick service - pay cash and you get discount Cons - small portions - nan breads and poppadom are extras Overall food was good so would recommend this place!

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! It was like going back to school with the waiter lecturing us for not ordering meat or fish! Just let your customers order what they want. Then again, maybe don't as the food was as exhausted as we felt after our telling off.

Worst curry we have ever had. Missing chutneys and sides that we had ordered. The prawn puri starter had just 5 tiny prawns and a tablespoon of sauce (served with a massive pancake!) Biriani was horrendous - 7 small peices of chicken, the vegetable curry that came with it had no flavour just salt and chilli. The Naga was watery and had just 8 small pieces of chicken. All containers were less than half full. Absolute waste of money. When I called to complain I was offered extra prawns and complimentary dishes on my next order... we won't be ordering again.

If I could give a zero then I would. The curries that came with our meal were like piss water I could of gotten a nicer curry from the shop for a fraction of the price. If I wanted a watery cup a soup with a few bits of chicken in the bottom then I wouldn't of bothered. Absolutely vile we couldn't even eat it.

Can't complain had the meal deal for two for the price really can't complain we've had better but also had a lot worse as well decent value for money

I have eaten here a few times. Service was questionable the second time but the food was pretty good. We usually order takeaway from here as they have an excellent deal but the last few times the food just wasn't great. The curries tasted dry even though there was plenty of sauce. The meat was very chewy and the bhajis tasted reheated. We will order from somewhere else next time.

We had an excellent meal here. Very well cooked, the lamb was tender and the chicken was delicious. Thoroughly enjoyable and pleasantly served. We would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

Really awful. Avoid. Food not good. Service and attitude of staff bad. Maybe under new management? As never used to be so awful, just eat reviews are bad too and the representatives that reply to complaints on there is just rude and will not hold accountability for anything being wrong/ bad. Avoid at all costs.

As usual we had a superb curry yesterday evening. This restaurant is consistently outstanding. They will tailor- make anything to your liking. Beautifully presented starters too.

Tasteless food which I believe was not Indian. The only enjoyable dish was the complimentary curry that came with the biryani.

Ordered two times. Both times had to wait nearly 2 hours for food to be delivered. Awful customer service.

Delivery arrived almost an hour later than it was supposed to. Order was wrong and a dish was missing. Tried calling back for an hour to sort it and they just didn’t pick up. Food was alright though.

De kleuren van het eten waren verre van natuurlijk. Drie van de vier curry gerechten waren erg zoet. Het naanbrood met knoflook was heerlijk. Geen cappucino te krijgen. Koffie leek erg op oploskoffie en was niet lekker. Ober deed zijn werk op zich prima, maar leek niet echt geïnteresseerd in ons. Op zondag hoge korting op hoofdgerechten. Dus erg goedkope maaltijd! Zestig pond met zijn vieren.

Food was average. The customer service was not that good. The person who serves must be smiling and welcoming, which we didn't find. Restaurants like this must have great food with great customer service.

Decent enough provincial curry house - though as shown on the attached photo, the prices displayed outside the door don't match the prices on the menu when you sit down. Poppadums were nice, though with the wateriest mango chutney I've ever seen. Naan breads seemed to be like the ones you'd buy in supermarkets - I doubt they have a tandoor. Main courses were decent, but the pilau rice was like the stuff you'd get in the nineties. Despite displaying a big AmEx symbol, it was cash only. I enjoyed what we ate, which was better value than other places in Eastbourne, but felt ripped off by the price difference from the menu displayed outside.

This is and has been my regular Indian restaurant for the best part of 30 yrs. the same family still own and run it. They make you feel so at home and always remember your tastes. They make you feel like family. Nothing is ever too much trouble . I am yet to have a bad meal. Infact, their food is always tasty and freshly cooked to order. Their sauces are made from base, not out of a packet!!! I would thoroughly recommend this eatery to all Indian connoisseurs.

Recommended by a local in the pub I was drinking in during a work trip. 4 if us disappointed with the wait for our food and lack of communication, as well as the missing poppadoms and the really chewy chicken. Shame.

Ordered takeaway. Arrived nearly 30 minutes late. No apology. Two of the dishes ordered didn't arrive at all. Called them and they arrived about 20 minutes later. Not brilliant and won't be going back.

We booked this place for our friends reunion party, we all tried bunch of different dishes and they'll equally tasty and flavourful, all of us had a really great time, this place is hidden gem, cant recommend enough, we will be back shortly and value for money is unreal, very cheap, try this place and I can assure you you'll love their food. Nice curry with all the trimmings, excellent service

Ordered a takeaway for the first time from here and can honestly say in 30 years of ordering such food it's the worst I have ever had. Wasn't a good sign when the food turned up stone cold, even though we didn't really have to wait long for it. However it gradually got worse from there. The onion bhaji's and samosas were bland and hard and the curry mains were watery and tasteless. After a couple of mouthfuls we threw the lot in the bin. A complete waste of £40...would never ever eat here again!

Went here last night with some family members and we all had a amazing time, we tried their new menu and all the food we ordered was absolutely delicious, everyone’s enjoyed it, service was excellent, highly recommend this time, real hidden gem in the area for sure, guys try this place and I can assure you that you ain’t gonna be disappointed, many thanks once again for a great meal.

Went to the Seafront Tandoori for a takeaway. Never been there before. My order was taken. I was overcharged. When I pointed this out, I received, rather grudgingly, a refund. When I questioned the amount of the refund and showed the cashier the menu on their website, I was told that this was an old menu. I asked why the menu hadn't been updated. I was told they had a new website. I asked why they hadn't taken down the old website. We couldn't, they said. Why not, I said. Because it crashed, they said. There comes a point, when confronted by an idiot telling you outrageous lies, when you know the time is right to make a dignified exit. Later, I checked again. There are indeed 2 websites but the price of the contested dish was the same on both websites. So, I got ripped off. What's new in the world, I can hear you saying. What about the food? Well, here it is: Both the foil containers for the main and side dishes were two thirds full. The chicken madras was so-so, but I could have done without the slices of onion in the madras sauce. The okra was completely bland. The Peshwari nan bread came in the usual insulated foil bag - ensuring the bread would be hot and soggy (why do Indian restaurants do this?). I was surprised the restaurant hadn't managed to screw up the rice. On the whole then, it was bog standard. A meal that literally and metaphorically left a nasty taste in the mouth. Later, thinking about it, I wondered how this restaurant managed to get away with it Needless to say, but I'll say it anyway, I won't be going back .

Place was empty. Take no notice of the menu on here - this place has gone up considerably !! Average vindaloo at above average prices.

I went to The Seafront Tandoori with my partner for dinner this evening and yet again it was really delicious, this restaurant has to be the best for miles around. My Chicken Dansac was even better than usual with extra lentils which really gave it the most wonderful texture. My partners Chicken Tikka Massala was delicious as usual. Amazing Pashwari naan. Great selection of rice and Onion Bhaji. What a perfect dinner.

I have been to that restaurant several times and the service is appaling. LAst time I went, my food arrived cold, again. The waiter brought the wrong drinks and refused to change them. He brought Fanta instead of Coke and Fanta instead of OJ, and he refused to change the drinks, saying Fanta is the same as Orange juice. The lady sitting in the table next to me complained about her naan, but he pushed the plate against her and told her that how they made it. It was revolting. I will not go there again.

although we live in billericay essex . When we visit eastbourne we always eat at the Seafront Tandoori and as usual there is a very friendly ambience ,plenty of choice on the menu , good value , generous portions and superbly cooked.

Went here Saturday night with some family members and we had a amazing time, it was rainy and windy night but we still had a amazing time, top quality food, lots of new interesting dishes and service was great as well, highly recommend this hidden gem, we will see you guys soon, many thanks and keep it up.

This was one of the worst Indian meals we’ve had. Be careful the quality of the food was extremely poor - order which was delivered was also wrong. Asked For tikka lamb - but was not tikka Nan breads - heated up Complained but the manger was not at all interested. My advise is eat else where!!!!!

Great quality food and service, this place offers great value for money as well, booked in for a family meal last night and really enjoyed it, very nice relaxed atmosphere and the staff were friendly and polite, food was really tasty, the menu is very different to other Indian restaurant in town, huge extensive menu which caters for meat eater and same time lots of vegan options as well, highly recommend this place, we will be back soon for sure, many thanks for such a lovely meal, exactly what we needed after a long tiring day.

We came on a Sunday evening as its 50% off, didn’t have to book and the food was delicious. That’s the good part. From sitting down to paying took nearly 2 hours, we weren’t in a rush but was hungry so waiting 40 mins between courses was uncomfortable. Our waiter hardly spoke. I said hello, how are you? got no reply. I asked again and got a grunt out of him. Wasn’t busy so be prepared for a very long wait when they are. I asked if we could take home what we didn’t eat and was a foil dish was thrown down on our table, no complimentary drinks offered at the end and no fairwell either.

Whilst in Eastbourne we went for dinner at this restaurant, which was around the corner from our hotel. It was a Thursday evening, so not too busy. We chose the chicken madras, chicken korma, plain rice, pilaf rice, a plain naan, a bottle of Cobra beer & a large coke. The food was delicious & flavoursome & served up hot to our table by our waiter. We really enjoyed our meal, which was very reasonably priced & would visit again.

Food here is always exceptional, was excited to take few family members from America, they visited here on airborne weekend, took them here on Saturday night, place was packed so I'd recommend to book, very popular with local, I heard every table was praising their food, one of my cousin is vegan and luckily they've got lot of vegan options which is rare to find, we ordered variety of dishes and they'll served same time, and food was absolutely delicious, we all enjoyed what we had, great service, very friendly front staff, cant recommend enough this place, A must visit if you're in the area, thanks guys, we will be back soon.

My parents ordered a takeaway, special treat for them, and when it arrived it was wrong. When mum phoned she was told it was her fault & they were incredibly rude to her. She was overcharged & never got her dinner, the food that was sent wrongly she couldn’t eat due to food intolerances. The issue is with the company’s website so beware ordering online as they won’t accept the error is theirs. When selecting prawn biryani, it turns out the website just put prawn. The starters were below average. The bhuna, and chicken curry had no flavour. Chips were cold and Nann bread must have been found on the street. Only okay thing was the service.

Worst curry house in a long time. Tiny amount of paneer in the main dish, ridiculously spicy and burnt my fingers on the dish. Staff clearly didn't want to be there. Appalling.

We had a big family gathering yesterday and we’ll decided to treat ourselves with curry, so went here last night with everyone from 6 year old to 55 year old, and we all had a extraordinary time, food was really delicious, we tried variety of dishes and all of them was equally tasty, service was spot on, attentive and very friendly, we all had a amazing time, can’t recommend enough, we will see you guys very soon.

This is the only Indian restaurant I eat from in Eastbourne. The restaurant is usually quite busy so i always book a seat. You can order through 'Just Eat' for a take away, and if you eat in on Sundays you get to eat half price!! Sultan and his team are always on hand to assist with ordering and if you want something thats slightly off the menu then they will make this for you

We used to go this place almost every single week, haven't been here few months now, was working away and was busy with other things but finally got some free time now so went here last night to celebrate the Eid festival with whole family and food was tastes even better then before, everyone's enjoyed their food,starter main side rice bread and papadom everything was yummy, can't recommend enough, service was on point as well, attentive and very friendly, highly recommended

The food here is really tasty, if you are in search of taste this is the place. Ambient has loads of area of opportunity but food, must say one of the delicious, less oily and food full of flavour. We re hungry so no picture but taste and food presentation commendable.

The food from here is really nice. Especially enjoyed the lamb tikka korai. Everything tasted great. The vegetable curry was lovely too. The only bad point was the small portion sizes.. The containers weren't full. Some of them weren't even half full.. Such a shame because the flavours were delicious.

One of the most disappointing food experiences I’ve ever had. Curry and Bombay potoroos had no flavour whatsoever. Dhansak appeared to have no lentils in it unless they were blitzed ( who knows). A shop brought ready meal is more flavoursome. Chicken was fine , just no flavour in sauce or potatoes

Have been a customer here for best part of 30 years. The treatment received from the manager tonight was appalling. Ordered for delivery, ended up driving and collecting it myself. Over an hour late, and all he said was he couldn't understand what all the fuss was about. "Not my problem the driver is late". Arrogant, rude, and a complete lack of respect. Refused to refund my payment when they couldn't deliver on time which is why I had to collect. He even turned his back on me mid conversation. Doesn't deserve my hard earned money.

Have had to change my 5 star review from 5 years ago to one star. Food arrived 1hr 20 after ordering, 30 minutes later than they said. Food had leaked out of trays due to poor packing. Onion bhajees were cold. All sauces were watery and bland and chicken grey and very poor quality. Very disappointed. Must have had a change of chef. Will never use again. 😣

Really nice food and very polite staff 👌 My only 1 critism would be it's needs more lighting or to be more bright seems a bit dull inside.

We went here on a Sunday while holidaying at Eastbourne while the tennis was on. And we were impressed! Nice food and amazing value as they discount all food on a Sunday by 50% I believe. Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the bill!! Definitely recommended.

My daughter and I visited the seafront tandoori yesterday and I just say it’s one of the best Indians I’ve ever had. It’s a hidden gem. I’d never heard anything about it and was just wondering town when I came across it. We came in and omg the from the rice to the curry to the nnan bread it was absolutely delicious.

Not had a bad meal in the probably year we've been going here. Today the order arrived missing a curry and side. 30mins later missing food arrived absolutely stone cold. Seriously unimpressed not what you expect. Even if they did undercharged us the least you expect is hot food.

Restaurant was empty apart from my party, although we didn't arrive until after 9.15pm, however their takeaway delivery service was quite busy. Food was good and tasty, and just the right amount of heat for us. Will be back!

Very bland & watery sauce in both curries we ordered. Naan bread looked like it hadn't been cooked, very anemic & sticky. Have used this restaurant for a long time, but very very dissappointed with this takeaway.
