Seafront Tandoori in Eastbourne

Try find something to eat on a Sunday night… almost every restaurant was closed, here we did find a welcoming and nice place. Food came very quick and was really delicious. Especially the spinach paneer was really good!

We tried Seafront Tandoori 2 months ago for the first time and since ordered 4/5 times it is out of this world. Best Indian we have ever had! We’re ordering again tonight as we’ve both been wanting it all week, everything is so fresh and tasty and piping hot even after a 15 minute travel they never disappoint. To top it off the price is incredible for the quality of the food, I’ve only realised recently it’s not a takeaway and is in fact a resturant so this will absolutely be our regular date night spot! Would highly recommend x

Warm welcome and a friendly atmosphere, fast service great food well spiced with a good balance, I travel around the country and this is up there as one of the best I will definitely return next time I am back in town.

I order from this restaurant at least once a week. Absolutely love the food. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews.

Not happy at all. Went on their website booked a table for 9.45pm on Saturday 25th January 2025 for 2 adults. Taxi booked and arrived at 9.50 pm as taxi slightly late to find restaurant all closed up 😡😡😡. How bad is that. Why allow a booking to take place on website when you are closed 🤷‍♀️. Thanks for that and the £20 taxi fare to take and return us to our hotel. Shocking 😡😡😡

Unfortunately our large order was 50mins late and stone cold. Oh except for the salad. Shame because the food was quite tasty.

Excellent food, mixed kebab starter was great, Naga chicken as the main was even better and a nice cold bottle of cobra beer was the perfect drink to go with it. Great food at reasonable prices, pleasant atmosphere, and great service. Easily the best Indian restaurant in Eastbourne.

The worst "Indian" food we ever had. We were disappointed with the food (slurry, tasteless, tasted like these were heated up from frozen or using cans. The naan bread wasnt proper naan bread - tasted like it had been frozen). We couldn't eat and had to leave the restaurant to eat elsewhere. If you know and appreciate proper Indian food, save yourself from disappointment and look elsewehere. The server said it was cooked “English style”, despite it saying “Fine Indian cuisine” on the front.

Once again everything was yummy, can’t get enough from this place, definitely recommend and can’t wait to try all the other dishes, thanks guys, keep it up 👍

From what I ordered the mixed grill was missing, the rest of the food was cold and ordered 2 mint sauces which both came about under half full. Not very nice when you pay almost £30. Wouldn’t order again.

This was hands down the worst curry I've ever had. The dhansak was watery slop, with no richness or spice, just a strange, thin mess that had no business being called curry. The Bombay aloo tasted stale and greasy, while the pilau rice was a sad, half-filled pot of bland mush. To top it off, the mixed starter was a disaster – greasy, lukewarm, and tasting so off that it was almost inedible. This was far from an authentic, enjoyable meal; it was a sloppy, tasteless disappointment.

I ordered this for my dinner and was rather inedible. The sauce was just water laying on top of chicken and the rice had gone cold and was all clumped together.

Just finished my meal and it was very tasty, will definitely order again and recommend this place to friends and family, keep it up 👍

What a lovely place, visited last night with lot of family members who love indian food and we all had a amazing time, the menu is not your usual Indian variety but a really good selection of different and excellent Indian cuisine, perfect location, near seafront, we ordered lot of different dishes and they all were equally tasty and delicious, words cannot describe how amazing the food is here and how helpful n friendly the staff were, lots of unusual dishes and great flavours, huge extensive menu which caters for everyone meat lovers,fish chicken and lots of vegan and gluten free dishes, we highly recommend this place and we cannot wait o go back in December for our Christmas celebration meal, they'll be open on Christmas day and boxing day as well so we planning to go there again on boxing day, we will see you guys soon, thanks

On first impressions it was empty but was a Monday Evening so gave it a go. The host was very polite and showed us to a table of our choice chatted about how bad the weather was and served us some popadoms with chutney.We ordered our main meal and it arrived in good time and was faultless good portion sizes hot and cooked to our liking it was a very enjoyable meal.We are in Eastbourne again next month with some friends and will certainly be returning Thank You for a wonderful Indian Meal.

We’ve been to seafront tandoori on many occasions over the years and always enjoyed the atmosphere and excellent and delicious authentic Indian food, we asked the team if we could book the restaurant for private party which they kindly obliged, so we booked a table for 20 and we were treated like family members and food was once again was marvellous, all of the guests loved the food and it went down brilliantly, highly recommended this place and we will definitely be back soon, many thanks

Went here last night with group of friends, glad we found this place on TripAdvisor, food was really good, huge extensive menu, lot of vegan option as well, very friendly front staff, we highly recommend this hidden gem, reasonable price and delicious food, what else you need, we had a amazing time and we planning to return on December, keep up the good work guys and see you soon.

Arrived on time . However , food wise , all wrong . Poppadoms were off , poor chicken quality , the Balti wasn't a balti , honestly it was all pretty bad . What a total waste of money ... Up there with the worst . Vegetable side had 90% potatoes and a few peas . The chef should be ashamed to serve out this trash food .

We have enjoyed pleasant meal here last night, we have turned up without reservation and there were able to accommodate us, the staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable of their menu, very tasty food, well cooked, we tried tandoori prawn starter, chilli lamb, goan chicken, dall naaga, garlick rice, lemon rice and garlick and chilli naan, they all were delicious and reasonable price, highly recommend this hidden gem, amazing service, made us very welcome, can’t wait to no back, thanks

Fantastic food and incredibly friendly service, they allow dogs, the food is super quick to come out, and very very tasty, the rajasthani chicken was a standout, all the dishes was tasty, real hidden gem, went here on Tuesday night and we had a amazing time, we have tried many Indian cuisine places and this was by far the best, great variety of options, reasonable price, a must visit if you're in the area, will be back soon, thanks

We visited this restaurant based on Trip Adviser recommendation and were unfortunately very disappointed. We were staying in Eastbourne for a long weekend and decided to go on the Saturday evening. We ordered our drinks being a pint of their draught lager and a miniature bottle of Prosecco. They arrived at the table with the pint being warm and a glass full of ice for my Prosecco??? We told the waiter we did not want ice but he said these have not been in the fridge. My husband exchanged his beer for a bottle which was equally as warm. We persevered and went ahead to order our food. One of the dishes was not as described on the menu and arrived with Chicken Tikka meat instead of just chicken. When we challenged this the waiter had no valid response. One of the side dishes was forgotten so we had to ask for it (I know this is easily done) We do love an Indian meal and unfortunately this was of very low standard and disappointing. I have to say they were not attentive but it seemed to be busy on take outs so this is probably why! We should have thought things weren't right when we arrived at 8pm on a Saturday evening, beginning of the month and there were only 2 tables of 2 in there!!!! Sorry very unusual to give negative review but only right others should know. I would not agree this restaurant is 4/5 star.

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! It was like going back to school with the waiter lecturing us for not ordering meat or fish! Just let your customers order what they want. Then again, maybe don't as the food was as exhausted as we felt after our telling off.

As ever, a joyous and glorious meal. The level of good from the economic mega set meal deal is unrivalled in Eastbourne. Impressive food for a reasonable price.

Ordered from here on other occasions and food been excellent ordered tonight and was very poor £2.50 for a handful of chips if that, the nan breads we re doughy and the garlic one had no garlic on it, and the khurma curry that's suppose to be a korma was a pale brown jelly sauce, tried mixing didn't work chicken was just thrown in not marinated like has been before and chicken was dry we are hoping this was just a one off cause never had any problems before and been well worth the money

Worst curry we have ever had. Missing chutneys and sides that we had ordered. The prawn puri starter had just 5 tiny prawns and a tablespoon of sauce (served with a massive pancake!) Biriani was horrendous - 7 small peices of chicken, the vegetable curry that came with it had no flavour just salt and chilli. The Naga was watery and had just 8 small pieces of chicken. All containers were less than half full. Absolute waste of money. When I called to complain I was offered extra prawns and complimentary dishes on my next order... we won't be ordering again.

If I could give a zero then I would. The curries that came with our meal were like piss water I could of gotten a nicer curry from the shop for a fraction of the price. If I wanted a watery cup a soup with a few bits of chicken in the bottom then I wouldn't of bothered. Absolutely vile we couldn't even eat it.

I have eaten here a few times. Service was questionable the second time but the food was pretty good. We usually order takeaway from here as they have an excellent deal but the last few times the food just wasn't great. The curries tasted dry even though there was plenty of sauce. The meat was very chewy and the bhajis tasted reheated. We will order from somewhere else next time.

We had an excellent meal here. Very well cooked, the lamb was tender and the chicken was delicious. Thoroughly enjoyable and pleasantly served. We would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

Really awful. Avoid. Food not good. Service and attitude of staff bad. Maybe under new management? As never used to be so awful, just eat reviews are bad too and the representatives that reply to complaints on there is just rude and will not hold accountability for anything being wrong/ bad. Avoid at all costs.

food is so spice - korma has chilli in, mushroom rice had chilli. portions are very small. avoid.

As usual we had a superb curry yesterday evening. This restaurant is consistently outstanding. They will tailor- make anything to your liking. Beautifully presented starters too.

Honestly - I usually love your take away, nothing improves my day as to when just eat gives me the thumbs up and I know your curry is coming. Never had a bad one, until tonight where seriously I've been left very disappointed. I am not sure what happened, the entire order (apart from the popadoms was honestly not your finest work) we all have our off days. I'm sure I'll be back.

Delivery arrived almost an hour later than it was supposed to. Order was wrong and a dish was missing. Tried calling back for an hour to sort it and they just didn’t pick up. Food was alright though.

De kleuren van het eten waren verre van natuurlijk. Drie van de vier curry gerechten waren erg zoet. Het naanbrood met knoflook was heerlijk. Geen cappucino te krijgen. Koffie leek erg op oploskoffie en was niet lekker. Ober deed zijn werk op zich prima, maar leek niet echt geïnteresseerd in ons. Op zondag hoge korting op hoofdgerechten. Dus erg goedkope maaltijd! Zestig pond met zijn vieren.

The curry was very nice , but the onion salad was a let down, didn’t seem very fresh.
