Unfortunately It has been a few months since we last visited. Tonight the Ashoka again showed why in our opinion it is absolutely the best Indian restaurant in the area. The service and staff were outstanding; attentive, professional and friendly as always. The food was brilliant: Chicken Jalfrezi, Chicken Chittinad, Chicken Passanda and King Prawn Naga were all balanced and delicious. All the accompaniments were also excellent. Thank you to all the staff in the restaurant and in the kitchen. We’ll be back soon and would recommend everyone to visit. You will not be disappointed!

My wife and I dined at this restaurant. My wife had the mixed tandoori starter as he main, no problem for the staff to do this. I Had a chicken dhansak, pillau rice included in the price of £!3.95, and spinach bhaji, with drinks. We both enjoyed the food. The only criticism I had was the dhansak sauce had a stronger than what I usually expect tomato flavour. Perhaps that is how it is preferred in Eastbourne.

I get to Eastbourne twice a year (excluding covid lockdown) and look forward to having a meal at Ashoka on every visit. The setting is very nice, the staff are very good and attentive and the food is very, very good.

my wife and I had a meal at the Ashoka, we were both disappointed with the main course and could not finish the meal. Later that evening we both felt unwell with a painful stomach, for the next 12 hours+ we were on the loo my wife still felt poor the next day. As we were still taking precautions with Covid we had had breakfast at the hotel earlier and this was the only food we eat apart from our meal.

Not the best of cuisine, food was very bland no flavour at all, had to ask for salt and pepper. Service was good although there was some language issues as some staff could not speak hardly any english at all and after asking for the pepper 4 times and was first given tissue paper i finally got my pepper

We always like to pre-book to eat here when we visit Eastbourne. It is in the centre of town an easy walk from the hotels on the Grand Parade. The food is good quality Indian fayre and it is served in a good ambience by cheerful staff. We find it fits within our budget £50 for a meal x 2 and we are not disappointed.
