The staff at Kitchen Royale are always a pleasure to deal with, from the friendly phone call to the warm welcome inside. Their chicken madras was absolutely delicious. they're definitely our go-to curry house in Crawley.

Love the food from amma! We are a vegan family, and don’t struggle at all to eat here. All dishes can be made vegan. They use probiotics and healthier alternatives to white refined flour. The prices are amazing! We usually spend £30 for a family of 4 and have left overs for the next day! This has become my favourite place to get a takeaway! ***** from us!

This restaurant in the heart of Crawley town centre is great! The portions are brilliant and the food is so authentic- it's full of flavour! I highly recommend eating at this restaurant!

Fast delivery and nice hot tasty food

Compliments to the chef on shift the evening of April 26th. Usually impartial to a cinnamon curry but tonight was GREAT!! Might be giving my favourite curry restaurant a run for their money.

We've just finished a delicious take away curry. Cannot find any fault. It was ready to collect when they said it would be. Very reasonably priced, including a 15% discount for collection . No complaints whatsoever 👌

My order took over 2 hours to arrive. When I called the restaurant they assured me I would receive my order very soon and after half an hour I called again, they said the driver was arriving any second which was 20 minutes before my order actually arrived. The driver refused to come to my flat door, instead waiting for us to come and find him. The food was good but not worth all the hassle. Very disappointed.

We had to wait ages to be served when there were only 2 other couples in the restaurant. It was freezing cold and I had to put my coat on. When the food eventually came it was very poor quality served by a waiter in dirty clothes (not just a bit of a spill in grained grime). I wouldn't go there again ever.

Great service from the waiter and worth the money. The waiter explained clearly which dishes I cannot have and what can be adjusted to suit my allergy.

This place has had a revamp.The decor is stunning, the new seating is so homely and comfortable. The food…wow, just incredible. I’ve been eating here on and off for several years. Several years ago this place was right up there as far as a curry in Sussex will give you. I’m happy to say that the food tonight was exceptional, incredible even. The Downsman has got its mojo back.

Great service and our food was absolutely amazing. Our waiter, Ash, was extremely knowledgeable around allergies and put me at ease as he was so on the ball. Great place and will return.

Overall nice food, however main course curry was mainly sauce so sent it back and asked them to add more meat. Service however is appalling, slow and no apology even when I told them about it!

I ordered through uber eats for myself and my boyfriend. I put that I am allergic to gluten and checked the menu and ordered the things that said were safe. They then called up to say certain side items contained gluten but the lamb pasanda (my main) was gluten free. I said to remove the sides. The food came and they left off the pasanda and told the driver to pass on the message. They gave me extra drinks. So all I got was a pilau rice to eat. We then called the restaurant and asked for anything else they can make me to eat, in which they said no as they are busy. I’m so sad and I’ve eaten there for years and always been my favourite but guess I won’t be eating there again. Happy Valentine’s Day! Hahah

It’s great to have a local place that serves delicious Sri Lankan Kottu. Reasonably priced and the mutton rolls are spicy so watch out!
