Bollywood Kitchen offered an amazing culinary experience. The food was a true highlight, with flavors that danced on the palate. While the service was decent, it didn't quite match the excellence of the cuisine. However, the bar staff were a standout, providing not just drinks but an entertaining experience. On a side note, it's a shame Arsenal drew against Chelsea.

Visited very recently. Appears that staff inc chef has changed. Use to enjoy food there. This time food was tasteless Ordered Daal makhani. Horrible taste. Full of sugar and tasteless Had to send it back Also had Jeera chicken wings. Taste less

Ordered from just eat …… Chicken korma was so spicy didn’t taste of coconut at all as my partners mouth was on fire The chicken biryani is missing the sauce part . Called the restaurant the lady was very very rude she said I was a liar and then said in a racist manner that the doesn’t understand English to be rude and not deal with the situation and to be racist to me . I have never had anyone be racist to me before being a white British female but saying to me I don’t understand English was really upsetting after having a full blown conversation in English prior to this comment I’m really upset and I won’t be going there or ordering from there again I have never been treated like this Stay away from there

Love the seating arrangements and the food. The drinks are set at a good price. The sports entertainment made us men really enjoy and relax. No rush to leave this place enjoyed every minute.

Absolutely shocking! Service is terrible couldn’t even smile or talk to us, food was poor and cold, didn’t even come check to see if food was okay. We are regulars here but the last 2 times the food has been awful, we gave it the benefit of the doubt as they said they have new chefs. The curry is flavourless and very salty/oily,starters were cold and the naan had no flavour at all. It’s such as shame as this used to be a go to for amazing food but unfortunately both the service and quality of food has gone downhill.

Went here with a large group. The service we received was dreadful and the lady was more intent on just getting us out the door. The starters were tasty but our mains were dreadful. The chicken was overcooked and chewy. I only really visit here with family when I'm in town, but I won't be coming here to eat again.

We had a family meal for four. The service was pleasant but not very thorough. The menu says they serve Balti .., but not today, we ordered lamb but got chicken… They have a good selection of food but a lot unavailable too. All food came out quickly and tasted great.

We ordered a takeaway this eve. On the website it says collection in 30 mins. On arrival the takeaway was not ready and it took another 30 mins of waiting in the restaurant for it to be ready. Was given it eventually by a rude front of house team member who has previously told us “you have to wait” and did not apologise for the late service. Even a “sorry your order is late would have been fine, them words can go a long way. Sadly we won’t be buying from here again.

Excellent food and service, just what we needed after a long day! Cannot recommend enough!! The lamb chops, kebabs and biryani were firm favourites! Will definitely be returning!!

Horrendous service..placed order by phone at 1900, got told was a 1 hour 30 mins wait due to eve pressure... no problem was promised a 2015 collection time. Got there at 2020 order still not ready.!!! Had to wait another 20 mins. No discount only sorry we have been inundated with orders.!!! After all that and the amount spent the food was horrid. Will not be going back there ever..

I made a visit especially after reading the review about "too spicy". Fantastic food. Very authentic taste. Not like many where the taste is diluted. Reminded me of my trip to Mumbai and yes, its spicy but just right.

Haven't been here since covid so went as son was going to uni. Drinks were very expensive.. Bottle of budweiser was £2.90..all other drinks was costing an arm and a leg.... Pint of cobra, coke and wine was £11.50..too expensive.... food was also expensive but was very tasty except their famous chicken wang wang which was like any fried chicken and tasteless. Service was fine although staff had changed and they were very courteous. Overall food and service was good but price wise very expensive as one thing this place had going before was, food was good and price was reasonable but not anymore.. Will only go if feeling really peckish.

we visited for the first time in months and used the "eat out" scheme which was even better. Drinks are ordered and delivered to your table as you cannot use the bar. We had a really good meal with all the food being excellent

AVOID. First time eating here since new management took over running the kitchen.l and it was awful. Firstly, they had run out of Indian beer in bottles and draught. They had no bottled water. No traditional Indian menu items such as onion bhajis, no Peshwari naan, no saag aloo. We had to ask for the food menu’s twice, we had to ask for drinks twice as they forgot. The food then took 55 minutes to arrive when the restaurant was only half capacity. When it arrived, 3/5 curries arrived, then 2 rices, then 2 more curries, then a few minutes later the remaining rices arrived so everybody had to start meals at different times. No apology offered by any staff member. The curries were all extremely hot and spicy, butter chicken, tikka masala and lamb bhuna all pretty much the same heat and became inedible for some. Minimal amount of meat in the curries. Leaving this morning the morning after as 3/5 people have upset stomach. DO NOT EAT HERE.

Can’t believe it takes a restaurant almost 2 hours to serve food, especially when you have kids in your party. There is no customer service and the owner does not Have the courtesy comes to apologies for the delay. Overheard him trying to justify the delay to other tables.

The kitchen is now run separate from the bar Service was absolutely shocking How long does it take for peanut mix 48mins i timed it.Mediocre food walked out after waiting such a long time for starters and mains first time i have ever walked out of a restaurant in my life hopefully the last. keep this club as last option , the new Catering company is really terrible , they do not have word Called SORRY in there Dictionary , valentine's day we went to have dinner , waited for 2 hours for starters , had 2 dishes only from the total of 8 ordered, went to complaint to manager, he behaved as if I was speaking some Chinese words which did not understand, and on top of that asking orders for main course, did not even bother to say SORRY for Fu.... up your evening , we left the club with frustration , had to do a take away pizza on the way home. I would Definitely not recommend this for club.

Menu has changed since i last came here a few years ago. Service was fine and the food tasty and authentic as opposed to the normal oily curry houses.Food has a spicy kick to it which i loved and i think the prices are quite reasonable.Would 100% recommend the sholay chicken. Traveled here from Atlanta, GA for a mate's wedding and had the pleasure of visiting RSSC on several occasions. It's the perfect place to come and unwind for the evening, equipped with a pool table inside, entertainment on the Telly, and a nice outdoor patio to catch fresh air. The drinks are poured right and the food is absolutely delicious. They have a new Bollywood menu that is an ode to authentic Indian cuisine; it's well priced and the portions are large enough to share.I had the pleasure of meeting management and speaking with them about the direction of this establishment, and it's exciting to hear about all of the positive changes they're implementing to make this Club a home away from home.Worth noting that most of the negative reviews complain about personal experiences but fail to share both sides of the story. I found the "This is not Ayodhya" comment hilarious and very appropriate. Who comes to a restaurant to nitpick & complain about its name? Sounds like this person came in with the intentions of starting an argument.It's of my experience that the management does not sugarcoat things, and as a result they are honest and transparent about their thoughts. I appreciated this, as they've worked very hard to create a family-friendly atmosphere that caters to their whole community, and they work even harder to maintain this.Looking forward to returning and getting an order of Mogo fries just for myself. It's too good to share.

We recently went back to taste the new menu our friends told us about, and we were pleasantly surprised! We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-course meal. Definitely will be visiting this place again. Also is a nice place for a few drinks too. Thumbs up from us!

Went with family and friends New Years Eve. Very cheap entry great food, cheap drinks and great evening with a DJ. Very friendly atmosphere everyone had a great time celebrating the New Year.

We’ve been enjoying Indian food at the Ram for several years. Lately it seems to be under new management with a new chef - and we couldn’t be happier! The food is deliciously authentic, beautifully cooked and the portions are generous. We sometimes have a starter as a main course! Lots of variety - both veg, non-veg - and reasonably priced.

I attended the RAM club hoping to eat some vegetarian food after being named after the Hindu God RAM only to find meat was also being served. I was approached by staff when entering the restaurant and asked if I’m a member in a very aggressive approach. I explained I’m on vacation from the US and wanted to eat at the restaurant. I asked politely if the vegetarian food is cooked with the meat in the kitchen and why the restaurant is named RAM if meat and alcohol is being served, as this was slightly disrespectful. I was approached by 2 managers saying “This is not Ayodhya, go and do your protest elsewhere”! I found this offensive and extremely aggressive customer service. I decided not to eat at the restaurant and left. I am a genuine customer and have no personal business to compete with this restaurant. My advice is sort out the management and how the vegetarian food is being cooked.

I am a member of the ram club and have been for 4years. Two of the friends we were eating with were not members. We walked into the club, the scanner wasn’t working at the entrance to scan membership cards and no one was sitting at the desk to sign in visitors. A member of staff saw we had cards waved us in. Before we had got to a table, a man jumped up from a bar stool and threatened a member of our party shouting he wasn’t a member( he is) he was so aggressive I thought he was going to start a fight, he eventually calmed down and we went to a table. The atmosphere was very strained and as the only female I was quite upset by the mans outburst. We ordered food, which when it came up was wrong, no surprise there as this has happened before, they replaced it eventually but it was still wrong and because of what had happened earlier i didn’t want to make a fuss. The food was very spicy, and it arrived at the table in dribs and drabs. I couldn’t eat the food as I had been upset by the events and left before the others. I will no longer eat at the ram club because of that evening. To make things worse the gentleman who owns the ram was sitting at a table next to us, saw what had happened and never said anything. The guy who launched at us doesn’t work there but was allowed to behave in a very unsociable manner. Your loss ram club, we will not be our renewing membership and will advise others not to visit

This is my 3rd review I’m having to leave as clearly this Restaurant does not like the truth and request TripAdvisor to remove it. I visited this place with my family hoping to eat some clean vegetarian food after the restaurant is named after the Hindu God RAM. On entering the RAM club it looked slightly more vibrant inside then it does on the outside. I was immediately approached by staff asking if I’m a member? It felt very intimidating. I stated that I’m here on vacation from the US and just wanted to eat at the restaurant. I noticed meat being served and found this confusing as the restaurant is named after the Hindu God RAM. I asked if the vegetarian food is cooked separate from the meat and just generally asked why they have named the restaurant RAM? This is where I was approached by 2 members of staff, possibly management saying “This is not Ayodhya, go and do your protest elsewhere”! As a customer, I found this highly aggressive and offensive. Clearly it’s not Vegetarian friendly neither customer friendly. My advice to anybody considering eating at this place is to avoid. I have received personal messages in my inbox from staff giving me abuse because of my experience at this place! The restaurant has some serious hygiene issues too. Inspectors rated 1/5! I’m glad I never consumed any food at this place

I visited this restaurant with my family as I was hoping to find good clean vegetarian food as the club is named after the Hindu God Ram. Upon entering the club I was confronted by management if I’m a member or not? This felt very intimidating. I said I’m here on vacation with my family and would like to eat at the restaurant. I then noticed meat was being served. This confused me as I thought a restaurant named after a Hindu God would not serve meat, as this is highly disrespectful. I politely asked the staff if the vegetarian food is cooked separate from the meat and it’s wrong using Gods name in this way.(website states vegetarian friendly) I was approached by 2 managers saying “This is not Ayodhya, go and do your protest elsewhere” I found this very offensive and aggressive. My questions were never answered and the customer service was appalling. I have been to many restaurants and all of them make you feel welcome. The avoidance to answer my questions clearly indicates that it’s not really vegetarian friendly if it’s being cooked with meat. I’m so glad I never consumed any food at this restaurant due to the hygiene rating of 1/5! Google does not lie. I will never recommend this place purely because of how the staff or management handled the situation.

During my visit to the UK, I had visited many pure vegetarian restaurants, as my family tend not to eat at places where meat is cooked. I was staying at a Hotel near Gatwick Airport as we were due to fly back to the US. I was informed by a local Indian staff at the hotel that the Ram Club serve good Vegetarian Indian food. I asked the staff if the name is associated with the Hindu God Ram or the animal? He said it was named after the Hindu God. I informed my folks that there is a local restaurant called Ram Club and must be pure vegetarian. I tried to access the menu however an error occurred. We got an Uber to the restaurant which cost us around 7 bucks. On entering the club, we were asked if we were members? I said we are here on vacation and would like to eat at the restaurant. We were instructed to pay money just to enter the restaurant which I found really bizarre. My parents then informed that this is not a pure vegetarian restaurant as they can see meat being served. I asked the staff why are they using a Hindu Gods name and serving meat and alcohol? I have never come across this before and found this misleading towards Vegetarian Hindus. I asked if the vegetarian food was cooked separately from the meat and why they are using the Hindu God ‘Ram’ as the name of the restaurant, as eating meat and drinking alcohol is forbidden within Hinduism and this is wrong. I was confronted by 2 Asian men, possibly management with a response of “This is not Ayodhya, go and do your protest elsewhere” I found this highly offensive and aggressive. I did not raise my voice neither did I cause a scene. Truly shocked. Could you imagine a restaurant named after an Islamic or Jewish god/prophet and serving Pork? We left without eating. I later read that this place had serious hygiene issues. Good job we didn’t eat there. Staff are very confrontational. The restaurant did look presentable inside, however they do not handle criticism very well. To my US friends, avoid!

I've been a member of this social club for many years. I was out for a meal with friends and we thought we would give the Ram sports and social club a try, especially after all the bad press.

Amazing food and service .. delicious kebabs and lamb buna ! Everyone enjoyed it and the price was really reasonable .I will definitely be coming again 👍😃Thank you

I used to come here for food with the family to catch up. At first it was good. Normally you pay £1 entry if you are not a member which was fine. But allot of the time the staff where not on the door so when you arrive and go to the bar you have staff interrogating you agressivly saying "You must pay entry and sign in" and "Why have you not signed in"

The food is delicious. I’ve been a number of times and have enjoyed each of the different meals I’ve had.

I visited this club for the India vs Pakistan cricket match. Great atmosphere throughout the game. Considering there was only one person behind the bar, drinks service was excellent. However the waitress messed up the food order several times, and was very abrupt and rude.

Visited twice - the vegetarian dishes, mixed veg starter was really good. the chilly paneer was very good and the veg Manchurian was good. However, the non veg dishes were not so good. the tandoori chicken was not marinated well, did not live the flovor as well... The lamb chops was half cooked... did not like it as well...

I will be visiting the Ram club this Saturday, a bit of a Welland leaving do. I hope to enjoy fantastic food & also the lovely peopl that work at Welland that will be here on the night.

Went to the Ram club tonight ordered chicken tikka roll was given lamb shish which i didnt order and was cold.. after complaining the waitress brought out the lamb roll 3 times saying this is what i ordered her english wasnt good. By now i was annoyed and eventually recieved a chicken tikka roll no serviettes to clean up with.. very poor.. Ram club management you need to go to the parsons pig and see staff etiquette.. this place is going down hill and management are just ignoring it. come on raise your game!!!

We are regulars here & the last few visits have been very disappointing. The quality of the food has deteriorated & our waitress was not over friendly. Such a shame as we have enjoyed many meals in the past.

can't beat this place for a lovely curry - can sometimes be noisy as there are very little soft furnishings, so can sound like a canteen but you cannot beat the grub

Went there with a big group of people, booked a table but didnt made any preorder, waitress was really nice unfortunately can’t remember her name but she works very long time the, although restaurant was really really busy I would say as usually but our food wasn’t delayed or something, we had amazing experience at Rams so me and my friends would like to say massive Thank you for head chef Aftab and his team for making our delicious food and letting us to feel special! He sent some complimentary food as it was our friend birthday although we didn’t expect so we was just amazed! Service and food 5 stars, and YES definitely will recommend for our friends and will come back next time!

Had a family meal this evening. Pretty decent food and service at a reasonable price. Very busy at times but food enjoyable.

After our first good experience, we went for a family dinner again on a Saturday. To our surprise the place was terribly understaffed. The whole dining section was served by only 2 waitresses. Took so long to take orders and repeat orders. They looked stressed and kept telling us that they didn't have staff so couldn't serve us well.

I had high hopes of The Ram after being recommended by friends. It's not a beautiful restaurant, more a social club with a slightly cheesy neon interior, but was busy for a midweek night which made me think it must be pretty good. The food heading out to diners looked and smelt appetising, especially the sizzling meat dishes.

We visited on a busy, hot summer Saturday night. The food was INCREDIBLE, probably the nicest Indian meal we have ever had. The waitress was lovely, very attentive. We loved especially that you order and eat your starter before they order you main course, allowing your palate to adjust as necessary.

I’ve been a regular here for years and food has by and large been good. Unfortunately the service has really gone downhill. Was there for birthday with family, waited 1 hour 15 minutes to order starters and that was only after complaining to some table staff. Apparently only one staff member able to take orders on a Saturday night!! Are you kidding?? The worst thing is they didn’t even really care and showed no concern. Tragic really. Same situation at the bar as well. They really need to invest in training staff in good customer service and hire more staff! Want to give 3 stars as food was good but the service was the worst I have experienced in a long time.

Love The Ram! Great staff, warm welcome and friendly. Food is delicious, fresh, big portion sizes and very tasty! I have been many times and will continue returning. Easy, free parking. Bar and pool table Good for any occasion £1 entry

Came in here with work friends and to be honest I was expecting great things.

Highly recommend this place for the excellent food and friendly staff. You have to pay £1 to come in as a non member of the club. There is a bar area and pre booking is advisable as this place gets very busy.

My husband and I were driving through Crawley and I've been here before for dinner so we stopped for some lunch. The club operates on a £1 fee if you are not a member but I'd say it's worth it for the food! Waitress isn't super trained and a bit dozy but ignore that entirely...just order lots of starters, sit back and enjoy!

I choose to have my birthday party and the ram Club it's not because it looks like a restaurant but when you go down there the staff are friendly did you know you will eat very well a lot of people don't understand social RAM club is not like a proper restaurant people expecting a 100% perfect service but if you look to yourself it's no one is perfect in this world that's the reason I leave this message because off the reviews people making it in here .I did enjoy very much to have my birthday party there .one more time thank you to have me ... there .

I went there with my friends for a meal. We had a great time, food was amazing, portions huge. We have ordered starters too which have protions like somewhre else main dishes have. It is a more spicy than other places so bear in mind if you don't like hot food. Overall, great evening we were all happily stuffed.

I have been to the Ram Club on several occasions not once has the service been poor ! the staff are always very attentive and cant do enough to make sure we are happy with everything....food is always excellent.... I cannot praise this place enough, looking forward to my next visit.

Esta es una visita regular mensual para mis amigos y yo nunca he tenido una mala comida. La comida es auténtica y fresca con una maravillosa fusión de sabores. Pollo Tikka y chuletas de cordero son una delicia. Las porciones son muy saludables y el bar sirve bebidas a precios de club social. El personal es muy amable y ofrece buenos consejos si es necesario. Siempre ocupado y ahora la Ram abre los fines de semana en el almuerzo.

Me visita aquí cada mes con un grupo de amigos y sentarse en la zona del bar, el servicio, la comida y su relación siempre ha sido bastante buena. Sin embargo, esta noche nos trajimos 2 amigos para su primera visita, el sábado en el restaurante y me sentí muy avergonzado. Cuando las bebidas en el bar pidiendo había personal nuevo que no tiene ni idea, el servicio era pobre y la señora estaba haciendo su mejor experimentado, pero fue un poco de un desastre. Esperamos llegar a un menú en el restaurante, en el extremo que tuvimos que ir y encontrar uno. La señora que tomó el pedido no fue muy amable y me perdí algunas cosas, ella no sonríe una vez y no hizo ningún esfuerzo por ser amable. La comida era buena, pero en el momento en que llegamos nos sentimos bastante decepción. Toda la noche con las bebidas era de más de 30 libras por cabeza, que todos sentimos, era excesiva. Siento decir que nos sentimos avergonzados, ya que así nuestros amigos para disfrutar de la experiencia y de vuelta, pero el servicio era malo, desagradable y poco eficiente. Odio escribir un decepcionante, pero lamento decir que esperaba mejor y me sentí totalmente decepcionante.

i've been there twice now. 1st time was okay. standard indian food (proper in the sense that it has Indian chefs and not Bengali or Pakistani). arrived to a good atmosphere as there was a big football match going on. then things went downhill. waiter unable to understand what we wanted to order. tried to get another waiter to take the order, they also couldn't understand english.i ended up writing the order down on the pad for them! food was terrible. Shish kebab had no taste, maru bhajiya not tasty at all. i've had better. quite frankly the food was rubbish which is unfortunate as there isn't great restaurants around Crawley anyway and you'd hope this would be a good restaurant.

To be honest, I didn't have high expectations as I'd heard mixed reviews... but I was very pleasantly surprised I'm pleased to say. The place was heaving on a Thursday night - I'm glad my friend booked! There were two parties taking place but that had no impact on us at all, the service was spot on, we were very well looked after, food arrived in huge quantities & pipping hot - you'll never go hungry here the portions are very generous & very reasonably priced. It's not Michelin star quality but it's also not as cheap and cheerful as I've had the displeasure of eating in other Indian establishments. The menu is packed full of yummy Indian dishes, drinks are reasonably priced & a lively fun environment - I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Une fois entré et payé 1 pound (non membre du club) direction le bar pour savourer une pinte de Cobra (bière blonde succulente) et ensuite, dans la salle de repas, aller sous la verrière (beaucoup plus jolie que la salle).La nourriture d'inde est très bonne et le choix est conséquents. En prime on peut choisir le niveau d'épice. J'y retourne à chaque fois pour pouvoir (enfin) manger épicé et digérer sans problème.Chaudement conseillé !

I visited this restaurant on the recommendation of several friends couple months ago who had all been. I'm glad I went! The service excellent, décor, and of course, the food were all excellent. A huge choice of fresh tasty food. I'll be going back soon. also I recommend this place people love curry house is not as bad as the people reviews is just over exaggeration ...

Great local place, good local atmosphere, you really get the feeing everyone knows one another in this place. Food is great and full of flavour! No complaints on that front.Two deal breakers here. 1. You have to go and get your own drinks. Firstly this is by far a pub, and it's no weather spoons. You feel like you are in a restaurant when you walk in. So it's a service you expect, someone to order your drinks and bring them to you.2. The food service is awful! Most the staff can barely speak English let alone know anything about the food/menu.

Another visit to the RAM last night and as usual the food was fantastic. There's a new menu with new dishes to choose from and all at a great price.There's plenty of easy parking. The restaurant is tastfully decorated and clean. The tables are far enough apart to keep your conversations to yourselves if you want but not so far apart to destroy the atmosphere.The RAM is a busy vibrant place and I would and have recommended it to anyone who loves good quality well priced Indian cuisine.It is a members club, so you need to pay £1 at the door for your one night membership. It's no hassle at all and I will be coming back again and again.Enjoy

Very disappointed after a visit to the Ram Sports and Social Club for a meal. I have been a member since it opened and have never experienced such terrible service as I did tonight. A group of us came for a meal on a VERY quiet night only to be ignored by the umpteen new staff. We eventually got to order poppadoms which we ate. We were then ignored by the staff completely who thought it would be better to do nothing than to serve the only customers in the building. Big Mistake! After half an hour of being ignored in an empty restaurant we decided to go elsewhere. As a regular customer I spend a lot of money in this place-not anymore. As an indindividual I have the opportunity to chose who and where gets my money and this place has just Lost! Give a restaurant who deserves the money and CARES. This place has lost all its charm and lack of customer service. Great food if you can get served. I personally have no problem with the new menu and the price increase but if you don't have the service you are flogging a dead dog. So pull yourself together and get staff that care otherwise you will not have a restaurant to run.

Great curry and the service is great tv everywhere so if you want a curry beer and football this is it the staters are amazing chicken wang wangs and the lamb chops are a must also really sensible prices a meal is about £22 with a main meal 2 beers and a starter.

Food was very nice, the restaurant was full so waiting time was a normal but thats to be expected when they are full, would recommend to any one a lovely Curry House, the staff are very helpful and efficient, and will do virtually anything to help, you want it hotter or not, whatever your tastes, they will try to satisfy your needs. Food is superb and really tasty, and, whilst in the Area, the food is worth the little extra. Give it a try... recommended 10 out of 10 ...

I went into Ram sports social club and had such exceptional level of service. I was impressed with the food choices .you have tawa lamb and chicken lollipops on well known dishes .I was also impressed with the flavours. A great bonus ! I have been a few times , but the last time I went was exceptional. The staff went out of their way to make sure I was looked after. The food was delicious . I am definitely going back there again I recommended this restaurant and honesty can't get enough. If you're looking for great service , excellent ambience and delicious food .well... this is the place for you !

I had visited with family after watching movie drinks were cheaper compared to the other and Food was unbelievable in whole Crawley will visit again thanks for all good staff.

You can't get better value for money when eating here , cheap drinks great food , aways willing to find you a table even on the weekend when it's jam packed , the staff are very friendly and kind , and they do their best provide great service , remember freshly cooked food don't take 5 minutes!!!I find it hard to believe that people leave poor feedback ? Haters or you were just to lazy to book table in advance Never had a problem at the ram club 10/10 , sums it up when there hundreds of members.

I went to the Ram club last night for the first time and had a great time. Nine of us went and we had various starters and main dishes that were all fantastic, the Ram club special chicken karahi was very good. The service was good and the cost of food and drink was very reasonable. We will definitely go back there again.

I have never been so embarrassed in my life, the attitude of the staff is diobolical the food is awful we found a fly in the sauce and gave a lot of us had a VERY bad stomach! Wouldnt accomodate for children and the customer service was outrageous. Avoid at all costs dont waste your money there is a lovely curry place in gossops green with great deals!

I visited Ram with 2 friends on 3rd February. We used to love Ram but after tonight we won't be coming back. Our main meal took over an hour and a half to arrive, and that's only after we got our coats and walked to the door. We asked staff 5 times when our food would be ready. Most of the staff couldn't understand what we were asking and lacked basic customer service skills. When we spoke to the head waitress she asked us what we had ordered then went away to deal with other customers without coming back to inform us where our meals were.As we approached someone and offered to pay for our starters, the head waitress asked us why we were leaving as our meals were ready and on our table. We went back to eat. When we received the bill we asked if the management would consider giving us a discount due to the long wait. The waiter said "not my fault - we're busy". I said I understood it wasn't his fault personally but if his management knew they were going to be busy then they should have planned for it. Most of the tables had been pre booked after all. The waiter took our bill and went to speak to his manager who then proceeded to have an argument with him in front of other customers.We waited some more... we tried to catch the waiters attention so we could get the bill. All of the staff were trying very hard to avoid eye contact with us.The manager finally brought us the bill and told us that she would not be providing a discount for the poor service received as they were short staffed, and it wasn't her fault. I asked who her manager was, and she told me she didn't have a boss. She then went on to explain that the restaurant is a charity and the premises are owned by they local council. Any profit made from the restaurant is give to the charity. After telling the manager that we would raise a complaint with the local council, she agreed to a 10% discount. I really hope that Ram sort out the customer service as it used to be a really great place to go with amazing food, but even the food wasn't that great tonight. Such a shame.

Enjoyed our night at the Ram as usual. I see others comments but I don't expect to pay bargain prices and get 5 star results. It is priced ok, drinks are reasonable and service is pleasant. We never regret going. It was very noisy tho and one needs to remember it's a social cub so kids are there and noisy sometimes. Would like to give 3.5 but can't on TA.

This is or was a regular place I frequented for food. Over the past 6 months the service has deteriorated and the food quality and taste has become very inconsistent. Our last visit was on 03/01/17 for my sons birthday. Bar staff were disinterested and no customer service skills. We waited 35minutes to order our starters and the place was practically empty. We then waited for someone to come and take our main course order, waited 20 minutes and then I had to approach staff and tell them I wanted to order food and why there is such a delay in being served. It fell on deaf ears. We no longer enjoy visiting this establishment, it really needs to look at training it's staff in customer and people skills.
