Beautiful food, lovely setting and attentive staff

The smell of this place is divine and is very promising of the food to come. The food is flavourful, the portions are generous and the staff are lovely and polite. Absolute favourite!

An outstanding restaurant: great reception, friendly efficient service and some of the best Indian food I ever tasted, including visits to India north and south. A glitch with the booking time was rapidly resolved and drinks were on the house. Really looking forward to going back there again.

Went to the Kismet last night for the first time with a group of 16 people for a birthday celebration. All 16 enjoyed the food and service provided. I would highly recommend the Kismet and look forward to my next visit.

Four of us went for a meal and although the food was lovely some of the staff were very rude. One in particular was very abrupt.

Ordered via the web page. It came within the hour and the man delivering was absolutely delightful. Really lovely and friendly. Talked to me about my car. I wanted to invite him in!! When we unpacked the meal we realised the rice was missing so I called them. They apologised and came back inside ten minutes with the rice and a bottle of beer! Just can’t fault them for their customer service and friendliness. The food was quite delicious as well. Will definitely be ordering again.

Ordered a takeaway, 3 meals all poor, small bones in the chicken,tough chicken,bland lamb and spinach...wouldn't go again.

In the area due to work and fancied an Indian meal so chose this place. I can honestly say it is the wordy Indian meal I have ever had. The menu was extensive. Should have known at the outset when no one was in there .. but it was a Monday night and only 6.45pm. No wine listed on the menu but got told to look in the fridge and pick one from there! Then given two pakoras as a ‘treat’ which were cold and hard, The papadoms had been cooked in old oil and tasted stale and the condiments were clearly scraped out of a jar. I’m not too sure that the Raita was actually a raita but it looked and tasted revolting - a grey/beige colour. My colleagues main chicken dish was passable but my main dish was inedible. Advertised as ginger and something lamb bhuna but was mutton. The meat was gristly and fatty and tasted terribly. The sauce with it was passable at a push. The one saving grace was that the vegetable side of Sag Aloo and mushroom rice were ok. There was only one member of staff, an elderly man who was pleasant abd asked how our meal was and so was honest. He took my meal off the bill without asking which I appreciated and we noticed he had crossed it out and it had been written as mutton not lamb. The actual place is pretty run down so maybe we should have just avoided … my advice to anyone else is to do just this!!!!

Xmas treat. Ordered take away for the family. Manager was really helpful . Great service. Food was delicious . Ordered 3 different curries with onion bhaji and lamb chop starters. Would definitely recommend.

Hadn't visited for a few months so I had forgotten how good the food here is! Chicken Malwani chicken is tender and sauce flavoursome, great prawn Koliwada. Highly recommend.

This place is just one stop away (Heald Green) and 3 minutes on the train from Manchester airport. Then a 5 minute walk. Good traditional Indian food. This is our second visit and has been just as good as last time. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is nice. Food is very good and served hot. Half the price and twice the quality than anything we’ve ever found at the airport.
