Wow! We can't believe we have lived in Cheadle for 20 years and never dined here before. Amazing food. Loved the starters and mains. The food is fresh and cooked to the customers' spice level. Really enjoyed it. Shame that it was quiet when we went in. I would love to see this place booming as I couldn't fault the food or the customer service provided by owner, Mr Das. We will definitely be back soon.

Went in the red fort about 15 minutes before they were due to close, despite this, the lovely owner took our orders, seated us and nothing was too much trouble. We had fabulous food which everyone said was delicious, several drinks and a lovely chat with the owner who informed us that he has been serving the community for over 40 years. Thank you for your hospitality, gorgeous food and we so look forward to our next visit. Massive thumbs up to you sir.

Thursday night is usually quiet but this time it was the busiest I have seen it in years with 20+ present and takeaways being ordered. Generally Mr Das does his best to serve everyone in turn but that night he seemed overwhelmed. Curries are as good as ever with lots of choice and a great offer of 5 courses for £14 (Poppadum's/chutneys, starter, main course with rice or naan plus coffee or ice cream) Overall well worth the extra waiting time.

Never seen this restaurant so busy. Mr Das and Roy were run off their feet serving well over 20 on a Sunday night and making deliveries on top. Food was as good as usual but due to being busy service was quite slow however this is something we did not mind. Hopefully others were not put off. Still a good value menu with plenty of choice of curries from mild to very hot with chicken, lamb or prawns.

Continuing to patronise this local restaurant as the food is good, plentiful and relatively cheap. Poppadums' and sauces, Starter, main course with naan or rice and then coffee or ice cream for only £13 is a bargain. If you cannot eat everything then leftovers can be requested to take home. Restaurant is rarely busy and most customers are regulars. You can also get most of the food as a take away or delivered by using Just Eat.

What to say about the Red Fort other than it is simply the best place to get a curry in south Manchester. If you want a busy buzzing and loud atmosphere, this isn’t the place for you. However if you want a delicious curry attentive staff and a relaxing meal you too might have stumbled on this hidden gem. I cannot recommend this little restaurant enough. If you don’t want to eat in you can take away and believe me when I say the experience when you collect is second to non.

Thursday night and very quiet. Nice choice of curries and great value for the 5 course special @£12 (Sun to Thurs). Restaurant very quiet for a Monday but food as usual to a good tasty standard. Great value as only £12 for poppadums' & chutneys, starter, main course +rice or naan, coffee, mints and a cream liqueur. Lived in CH a long time and never been here before until last night - not sure why now as will certainly be going again! Food was fantastic and met Mr Das for the first time who was a genuinely lovely man and attentive to our table. It wasn't very busy for a Friday evening but it was reasonably early to be fair. Due to quality of food however and the friendly welcome we received, will most definitely return. Thanks Mr Das and chefs.

Pleased to see that custom appears to be picking up for this small local business. At least 15 covers the night we attended, much better than the 3 -7 seen on earlier visits. Great choice for the 5 course special (poppadums'/chutney, any starter, any main, rice or plain naan then coffee/mints or ice cream and a small cream liqueur with your bill all for <£12 plus any drinks. Thus great value.

Now that restaurants have been allowed to reopen we have been back twice to our local and favourite Indian. Always made welcome by Mr Das or Roy we opt for the good value 5 course meal for <£12 plus drinks. A pint of draft Cobra is <£5 but plenty of choice of other lagers and wine. This consists of poppadum's and 4 chutneys, then any starter (not King Prawn), followed by any main course with rice or plain naan (usually have one of each). Afterwards a mug of coffee and after eight mint or an ice cream and a cream liqueur with the bill. It is far nicer to sit inside and enjoy this freshly prepared meal in a quite leisurely fashion, rather than rushing through a takeaway.

5 of us went to red fort in Cheadle Hulme for the first time since easing of lockdown and the Indian restaurant did not disappoint! 5 courses, including poppadoms, any starter, any main with rice or naan bread and either a coffee or Ice cream with a small Bailey's and chocolate mint for only £11.95! The food was delicious and the service was also good. I have been here before lockdown and each time I have had a meal it has always been to a very high standard. I would thoroughly recommend it if you like Indian food and are eating to a budget. I will definitely be going back!

Made a special trip over from Chester for our first post lockdown meal in The Red Fort. And lovely food and service as usual, with the whole family trying a variety of dishes to celebrate our return and grandad was in raptures at having Bangla beer for the first time in months. It was great to be back in our favourite Indian restaurant and felt like coming home after being unable to get there for so long.

Normally we always eat in at this restaurant, however due to lockdown decided to have a takeaway. Collected our order and got it home within 10 minutes. Poppadum's had gone a little soggy and tough, similarly the naan bread. Rest of meal was OK but no where near as good as having it freshly served up on the premises. Not sure when we will be able to return for a proper meal as even though Stockport has a low infection rate we are in the stricter Tier 3 due to the influence of Rochdale, Oldham etc. on the Greater Manchester statistics. Hopefully restaurant can reopen before Christmas if not it will suffer severely like much of the hospitality industry and end up closing permanently.

We have visited this restaurant and the lovely Mr Dass for several years. The children say his chicken korma and nan bread can't be beaten even though we have tried elsewhere when on holidays away from the area. The set menu if just fantastic value. We tried others that opened again before him but his is just the best taste wise and much better value. The set menu effectively means you can choose anything except king prawns from the a la carte menu for around 12 pounds. His idea of a glass of wine is to fill the glass to the rim. No complaints from me! We have tried various dishes and never found one that was not excellent. Husband likes to try something different every time and always says good. Children get ice cream at the end of the meal. We will keep coming regularly as a family.

Lived literally down the road from this little restaurant for many years and never give it a try. I'm so glad we decided to as it's a hidden gem. Both the owner and the other gentleman who served us made us feel so welcome and our 2 children very welcome chatting to them both and taking time to use their names. The owner told us he's been there since 1983......The fact he's been there that long speaks volumes. We got the set menu and it's fantastic value for money and the menu is very extensive. The decor is traditional 80s Indian restaurant but some of the ornamental features are fantastic. We were the only ones in but we did leave at 6.30pm and the service and attention along with the food was super. We will now be regular customer's 100%.Supporting local little businesses during this ucertainly will hopefully ensure that he will be around for many more years to come.

I went for the mixed jalfrezi as I have never seen this option on the menu before. It was absolutely perfect, very hot and very tasty. Keema Nann was perfectly crispy and not stodgy like a lot are. I have been going here on and off for over 30 years. (I don't think the décor or the staff have changed in all this time.............which is more than fine by me. I like it how it is!). UNLIKE most curry houses nowadays this place makes and serves REAL Indian food ( NOT the same old mush that most other places seem to now serve). The owner/host is welcoming (he is even Indian!), the menu large, the food very well cooked and presented, and I even like the fact they play Indian music in the background like curry houses used to do years ago. In fact the whole place is a bit like stepping back to a time when curry houses were something of a rarity and a novelty. We get a taxi here rather than walking to the other 3 or 4 curry houses that are nearer to us the place is that good. This place actually seems to value your custom! I can't believe it's not more popular to be honest, though this may be down to where it is located (Not in the middle of a busy town) or maybe most people prefer more "Trendy" looking places. Their loss in my opinion.

We were introduced to Indian Tiffin Room by our car salesman, and it's the best place ever. It's understandable why they are always busy, the food is always fresh and arrives timely. It is one of the few places we can literally pick anything on the menu and know we will love it. It's guaranteed to be tasty and a mouthful of flavour explosion. Our faves are ITR Dossa, chicken lollipop, the tandoori broccoli, there are so many I'd end up listing the whole menu lol. Thanks so much guys.

I’m very disappointed with the service at this restaurant. I booked a table for dinner and the server asked if there were any customers coming with allergies. I said yes one Gluten free. They asked if it was celiac and I said yes. When we arrived at the restaurant we had to wait a few minutes for our table and while we were waiting I took a look at the menu. I saw a separate sheet with all the allergens on it, picked that up, and read that instead. I saw that there were crispy onions in the biriyani and that was the only thing making it not gluten free and they could be taken off to make the dish gluten free. When we sat down the hostess acknowledged that there was a gluten allergy and said to reference the gluten free menu which was at the back of the regular menu. It took us 40 minutes for a server to come take our order and we had to call over the server as it was taking way too long and the tables next to us who arrived later were served before us. When the server arrived, they said again that there was a gluten allergy at the table and they were making a note of that. I ordered the lamb biriyani off the gluten free menu. When the food arrived I asked the server is this the gluten free biriyani and they said yes. I saw that there was something on top of the dish and wanted to clarify if this was the crispy onions. The server was unsure and said it’s the gluten free one and then paused for a second and went back to the kitchen. When the server came back they took the plate away and said someone had accidentally put the onions on top. They came back out with a new plate with no onions on top and had a stick on the top to signify it was an allergy free meal. I am honestly quite shocked at how many times they acknowledged my allergy and still served me something I was allergic to. If I had not read that alternate menu while waiting ( they do not give you this menu at the table) then I would not have known the onions contained gluten and could have had a very severe reaction. This is really unfortunate as the biryani was delicious. I excepted better from the servers and the chefs. I spoke to the manager explaining how serious of an issue this is and how a mistake like this can be life threatening. The manager said they will have a meeting with their team. I asked for the service charge to be taken off. I want to warn anyone with an allergy to read the allergen sheet at the front as well as the vegan or gluten free menu to help ensure you don’t accidentally eat something you are allergic to.
