Mhariam takeaway in Stockport

Just enjoyed a delicious meal to celebrate the end of my Daughter’s GCSEs. We had a selection of curry, kebabs & starters. Delivered quickly, tasted amazing with tasty fresh salad & sauces. Thank you

One of the worst curry’s I have ever received. I ordered the prawn curry. It was nothing like the photo on their google page with large prawns - Instead prawns were super tiny and very chewy and rubbery. More worryingly was all the water that separated on my plate. I could not eat it all. Only thing that was nice was the sheek kebab and paswari naan.

Had nice takeaway this evening but ordered to collect. I arrived exactly on time but had to wait over half an hour at the desk whilst being told it’s ready repeatedly- when it clearly wasn’t. Really disappointing when you’re proper famished!

Absolutely spot on. All the meat in my mixed grill was perfect, really good quality. Onion bahjis are among the best I've ever tried. I'll definitely be back

Great food. great price great service friendly

Ordered lamb vindaloo, garlic nan, butter. chicken and one portion of rice. Got home, no nan bread, butter chicken was watery. The vindaloo wasn’t hot at all, green peppers in it? The beef vindaloo turned out to be chicken as well. Will be going to Aldi for their Billash £2.50 vindaloo curry, much better. Oh, and it was cold so had to blast it in the microwave. Avoid.

First time I have had food from this take away. Lovely starters and chicken madras. Highly recommend.

Decent enough. Had onion bhajia, a balti and paratha. Friendly staff. Parking difficult. We probably continue to use Mint Kitchen in Reddish.

Got to say, this is without doubt the best Indian takeaway in Stockport. Amazing food, amazing staff, and a great bar down the road, while you are waiting for your order( Cassidy's). There is one dish in particular that I requested - Chicken Saag Masala, which wasn't on the menu (just something that we was recommended by a friend), they said no problem, leave it with us. OMG, absolutely beautiful. Give it a try Guy's, you will not regret it. Just the right strength for everyone, with amazing tastes throughout. You can all thank me later. x

This place based in Heaton Moor on Shaw Road used to be good value for the tasty food they provided. Unfortunately I was extremely dissapointed when I ordered 2 curries with starters plus rice etc. When it arrived I could not believe they charged £3.30 for 2 small veg samosa. The rice is in a smaller carton, 4 small pieces of meat in the curries. It tasted ok but unfortunately when you spend over £30 I expected more. I understand business's have struggled and prices have gone up but this will unfortunately put people off from ordering again I know we won't be. Don't be to greedy Mhariam, it will not entice people to return.

I am gutted to be writing this! Really looked forward to a bank holiday treat - ordered a chicken kebab with salad and mint sauce - the naan bread was like uncooked glue, the chicken was OK at best, no sauce and just thrown out - not the service I would have expected for a high profile take away:(

I have ordered from Mhariam for many years and they always nail it. I've had most things from the menu but recommend the dishes from the Mhariam Exquisite section, particularly chicken chilli and chingri tok jal. Big thank you to the Mhariam staff for their service over the years.

My takeaway was Unbelievable. It was that good, i wanted to ring up to pay compliments to the Chef. Highly recommend the Lamb Saag

I ordered the Naga curry - fantastic. The spinach - brilliant. The chicken - good. Coconut rice - terrible. The "coconut rice" (£2.80) contained about 2% coconut or coconut milk and just colour, sugar (loads of it), cashew nuts, raisins and anything that could be thrown in. Please avoid. That aside Mhariam takeaway passed.

Love this place ....tasty curries, fabulous kebabs always good quality meat ...what's not to like ...highly recommend !

Excellent tasty food.Been going here for three years. Not had a bad meal yet.

Initial delivery was missing 6 poppadoms and chutney. We phoned as soon as this was realised to rectify... We were offered a refund as it was "too out of the way" but having paid cash we had to opt for items to be delivered. 90 minutes later, poppadoms delivered but still no chutney. Otherwise, food good.

One of the best Indians around. Whilst Heatons Tandoori is my recommendation for a sit down type of Indian meal, mhariam is amazing for takeaway and in particular the kebabs. Love it both drunk and sober! I usually go for the chicken kebab with chilli sauce, the naan is really tasty, generous portions and good quality chicken (no gristle, just nice tikka) for under a fiver - awesome! I live only a few mins walk away and usually call before collecting and they will give me a ring when it's nearly ready. Yesterday i ordered at half six and they called to say its nearly ready in five minutes.

Finally found an Indian in our area that ticks all the boxes. Well worth the money and not a grain of rice gets scraped into the bin. Mouth watering taste, tried many dishes from here and the quality of the meat is superb. No fat and gristle like many other takeaways we have tried. I cannot recommend this takeaway enough and even better that they currently do delivery too.

Brilliant takeaway. I’ve been going for years. Great service. They give you a collection time, usually 20 to 25 minutes and your order is always ready! I’ve been going every Sunday evening during lockdown and still fantastic!! Love it and wouldn’t go anywhere else 👏👏👏

First and foremost the food was absolutely delicious. Loved it and will probably be our go to takeaway curry from now on. Also, the staff were great at accomodating us (wife has dairy and soya allergy) and told us exactly what we could/couldn't have) and were generally very friendly and helpful.

This take away always provides food of a high standard. It has a large choice and we have yet to try anything we haven't enjoyed. The staff are efficient and friendly and everything is cooked to order within sight of the customer so there maybe a short delay but it is well worth the wait! The prices are reasonable and the portions are substantial. If only they offered a delivery service they would be awarded 6/5! P.S. Make sure to get the onion bahjees -they are incredible.

If there is a better Indian take away in Greater Manchester I have yet to find it.

I come here for what I call a "clean kebab". Really nicely cooked meat and fab nan. The staff are always friendly and helpful. 👍

According to the publicised opening hours it should be open until midnight. Unfortunately when I tried to order a takeaway at 11:30pm on Tues 25th Sept, they said they were closing early and going home. Desperately disappointed as I was starving and was banking on a nice meal. Otherwise, the food is really good.

Only recently tried their currys and everytime we had it it always been lovely. I would even go to say “best curry ever”and their kebabs are lovely too. All round amazing. Definitely would recommen it to all.

Great food, lovely staff, very helpful. Had food from here countless times and can't stop going back. The prices are excellent and for under £5 I get a chicken kebab with sauce and salad wrapped in a naan bread along with a drink. Cannot recommend more.My only complaint is that it doesn't open earlier.

very disappointed, had great food here in the past, but not today, ordered the full house kebab (£7:50 so far from cheap) chicken was under cooked, i had to spit it out.

Absolutely dreadful! Samosas tasted stale..popadums soft and the Currys had no flavour and very little meat in them..this was the first and last time I will be eating from there.

Mhariam is a great take out place! Loved the food there and the staff were extra friendly. Really recommend the Shashlic Karahi, the chicken is really well marinated and not too spicy!

Review as I eat a rich, deep and full of flavour Ghorkali. Chicken is high quality, peppers and onion in a rich, spicy but not overwhelming sauce. Naan is a great accompaniment for sauce. Pillau rice a bit of a let down as only adequate but not detracting from my enjoyment. A treat, may a delight

I wouldn't say the curry's match their competitions curry from the nearby area but the kebabs and mixed meat starters from here are amazing. It's cooked right in front of you and the naans are very authentic. Staff are friendly and it's a comfortable waiting area

Been eating from here for many years and hadn't realised never done a report. cant thank the guys enough for the food and service always excellent quality and fresh . ask for something special and they will always do it, my grandchildren don't eat large amounts and make a smaller portion for them ,can recommend the Madras sauce and the mixed tandoori always good and chicken tikka good quality fresh chicken. Best curry and kebab house in Stockport

The only place we order a curry from these days. Staff are friendly and helpful and food is always good.

What can I say, great food every time & all their food is prepared right before your eyes. I don't trust many other places for hygiene, but definitely no such issues here.

Necesitaba una para llevar, era parada de distancia. Orden ideal y recogido. La comida estaba caliente y muy sabroso el naan era la única decepción. Le dijo a mi compañero acerca de regresar un segundo plato de la noche y tuve diferentes e igualmente sabrosa y mi colega de acuerdo. Sin duda lo recomiendo.

Cuando llamé a mi orden eran groseros no entregar orden correcto porque estaban demasiado ocupados. Tuvimos que recordar el tipo de teléfono que el cliente y él era el que había cometido el error.

I moved from the Heatons three years ago to near Knutsford. We drive 14 miles each way to pick up our takeaway as the food is that good. I have never had a bad meal here and the lads are fabulous.

I've been coming here for a good four or five years now and I can honestly say Mahriam's is the best Indian take away I have every had the pleasure of visiting. The service is every bit as good as the food in this clean, welcoming little take away where the chefs prepare your meal .right in front of you. I live a good thirty minute drive from Mhariam's but work once a month in Heaton Moor, which is probably a good thing or I would now be nineteen stone! I'm a veggie which has never been a problem and the aloo ghobi and saag paneer are both highly recommended. Great value too.

Its all about the lamb kebabs here and the lovely welcoming staff. They are gorgeous and so cheap for Heaton Moor which is unusual to say the least. Definitely visit here

After reading the reviews online we decided to give it a go and it lived up to our expectations. A clean and welcoming takeaway with friendly staff. The food was tasty, hot and fresh and a of good quality. It was reasonably priced too and we will be returning as soon as possible. Can't wait

This isn't actually our most local Indian Takeaway but it's miles better than any near us. The food is consistently good. My boyfriend always has something different and has been really impressed with everything. I love the taste of Korma but I like spicy food so they do a spicy version of a lamb Korma for me which is delicious! Great service and reliably good food!

Got this tonight , pleasantly surprised by the flavours , this dish includes potatoes which added to taste. Ideal first time meal for medium heat.

We normally order indian takeaway from the local restaurants, but decided to have a change. What great food and value. We had the set menu for two which could easily feed four. Well cooked full of flavour and spice and great value for money. Will definitely go back.

This is by far the best Indian takeaway in the stockport \ Manchester area , with the gallery kitchen it's great to see the excellent chief at work , very clean and food is amazing also the staff are excellent , very helpful, all freshly cooked in front of your eyes , 100% the best around, and I've tried most in this and the surrounding areas , give it a go you will not be disappointed

A night isn't complete without a visit to these guys. The best kebabs bar none. Mid week when the urge takes you their curries are awesome. If their was 10 stars they'd get it!!!!

Great little shop very well presented from out side .. Lots of fresh dishes to pick from and all seem to be very well made . The staff are great lads always wanting to please and will make you want you want if you want it slightly hotter they willingness to please is great .. Well worth a trip 10/10

I've been a regular here for a while, which tells you all you need to know about the quality of the food. It's got a good choice of menu and I've never been disappointed with the flavours of whatever dish I've ordered. My only complaint would be that I've always had to wait for my order, even though I've arrived to collect it at the agreed time. Having said that at least I know it's fresh! Overall if you're looking for a good quality curry at a reasonable price then here's your place.

I've become a regular here, fresh ingredients all made to a the highest of standards. I've tried many dishes and have never been disappointed, my particular favorite is the starters, but its all excellent. The staff are friendly and will go that extra mile, cannot recommend this place enough, the food speaks for itself.

Mhariam has to be my favourite takeaway and the food is consistently top notch. For many I guess it's a pity they don't do delivery but from a personal point of view, it's an entertainment calling in to watch the great chefs here cooking your meal before your eyes in the open kitchen.Have tried a wide variety of dishes on their menu and all dishes I've tried here have been delicious. I'm not on my own in thinking that this is a superb takeaway and I'm not surprised to read the same in previous reviews on TA. It's run very efficiently by the manager/co-ordinator, Mohsin and orders have always been ready on time. Highly recommended

If you're looking for fine Indian cuisine then I highly recommend that you try Mhariams. The staff are great, very nice and friendly people and the kebabs are heavenly. If you haven't been yet and you're thinking of going, I have no doubt you will love the place

5 star Restaurant quality food for takeaway prices is how I would describe this place! Brilliant service from a great set of lads. Food is always fresh and they Will make it how you like it. Deffo try the chicken chilli or one of the kebabs (mixed kebab is always my choice) but even the curries are never too greasy and it's a great portion size.Keep up the good work!!

Been using Mhariam for years and always find the food, both kebab and curries to be absolutely top drawer. Nice staff and comfortable waiting area. Shame they don't do delivery. But a place I often visit. Highly recommended
