We went for an early tea with a group of 8 adults and one baby. The staff were wonderful, and the food was delicious—I especially loved the Bombay chicken; it's my new favourite! Everyone who hadn’t been there before agreed it was the best Indian food they’d had in a long time.

Tasty authentic food from Goa, Mumbai and Delhi. Metal plates and copper cutlery are a nice touch. The railway lamb is tasty and not too spicy. Butter chicken was a bit sweet for me and quite spicy. The daal was creamy and delicious. Garlic naans very nice and the sweet paratha with almonds were lovely. Mango lasse was abit too thick and filling with the meal and had a hint of banana taste as well as mango £66 for three of us and we took the rest of the food home. Not huge eaters though. Service is efficient and friendly.

Third visit for me. My dad is a regular and reckons it is one of the best Indian restaurants in South Manchester. Super friendly staff. Excellent menu with plenty of vegan options.

As an expat I crave good English/Indian food. This place lands it well. I'll be back, probably this visit, certainly next.

It was an absolute delight to eat here. The food was exceptional, authentic and loved the Street Food. The service very friendly and not rushed which made it more enjoyable. A beautiful interior and atmosphere. Been spoilt by The Copper Lounge, see you soon.

Absolutely lovely place , greeted by polite staff. Great table settings and decor. Decided to choose 2 street foods and then 2 different naan breads with 1 main course (this is all you need) the starters are filling and we were not disappointed. The main dish between us was amazing chetinnad (or similar) and was plenty for the both of us. In closing - polite and attentive staff and fantastic food. Do not miss this one you would be foolish - very reasonable bill and we definitely be going again. A*****

Eaten here a few times now. Interesting choice of starters with street food options and a main curry list that isn’t full of the usual. Only criticism would be the portions feel slightly on the small size for the price, but don’t let it put you off a visit.

I love eating here, I always try something different and I'm never disappointed. Cosy restaurant, nicely presented and plenty of choice on the menu, this restaurant would suit everyone's tastes I'm sure. The staff are attentive and happy to help.

Didn’t actually order anything, but I think it’s time restaurants were given poor reviews based on pricing, £14 to order butter chicken on Deliveroo. No rice, just chicken in sauce. Sort it out!

We went for the first time last night. The layout of the tables is very elegant. The welcome and service are wonderful, and very personal. The menu is original, much different than a standard Indian restaurant - many "street food" small plates, which you can either have as starters, or, as we did, more of an Indian-style tapas meal ! The food and flavours were exquisite - so fresh, so well prepared and presented - yum, yum, yum !!! We will definitely be back, to try the main curries. If you want good flavours, and you love tandoori, India, spices, flavours, then you MUST try Copper Lounge!! A "hidden gem, in full view" on Jackson's Lane, Hazel Grove!!! Excellent meal - THANK YOU!!! ❤️

Lovely early doors meal in the copper lounge. Service excellent and the food lovely. Very quiet hence the three stars for atmosphere but early doors on a Sunday what do you expect. The restaurant is nicely laid out and decorated and is lovely and clean. A credit to the proprietor.

Been to the Copper Lounge three times; every time the service was excellent, the food was wonderful and good value for money. We can't recommend this lovely restaurant enough!

Been a regular customer at this restaurant for many years. The menu is completely different to a standard Indian Restaurant but the food is consistently good and very tasty. The waiting staff are really nice and friendly and provide an excellent standard of service. I can appreciate how difficult it must be in hospitality at the moment and I really hope that this lovely restaurant can survive.

Booked a meal for today ( Sunday) not been for awhile and wondered why not.. Fabulous meal for the 2 of us very fresh tasting. Hot and delicious.. The staff were brilliant and very friendly.. To top of an excellent meal it was 20% off and buy one drink get one free too.. Amazing we will return very soon

Really great experience here. I have a severe nut allergy and they were super helpful, I called up before hand to let them know and when I arrived they had a list ready for me with all the things can eat that didn’t contain nuts. Really great service and the food was really lovely. I highly recommend!!

Food is always incredible, lovely mix of street food, cool dishes I'd not seen elsewhere and traditional meals. Lovely restaurant too and good service to go with it. Been going for 7 years now, best curries I've had! Enjoy.

I am not sure where to start poor is a generous way to describe my evening. There were only a few tables dining in but every few minutes takeaways we’re coming out of the kitchen clearly very busy for takeaway and not able to look after guests in the restaurant. It was so cold everyone was wearing coats to eat a meal. Service shocking missing starters and wrong starters took 1 hour mains cold and not as expected missing one main and 15 minutes later they sent out deep fried chicken and chips not what was ordered and had the cheek to add this to the bill. Final straw 2 hours and 20minutes later after requesting the bill several times the manager apparently had the audacity to tell us where we went wrong and that she had a sore throat so was not very present in the restaurant. Table next to us left before eating and others sending cold food back. Needless to say despite several very good takeaways from hear we will never return. Poor management of our feedback and nothing reflected in the bill except a portion of chicken wings we had to take away with us due to how late it was.

Stunning restaurant. The food was full of beautiful flavours. Table of 5 and we all really enjoyed our meals. The staff were friendly and helpful. Ellie our server was fantastic. Small parking area available.

Do not waste your time and health !!!! Really bad, my chicken tikka was extremely spicy, nevermind the chunks of sweet pepper and onions in it (very bizarre)I could not taste anything other than spice - CTM IS A MILD CURRY!!! disgrace !!! On top of that they gave me an exact same tasting BUTTER CHICKEN that appeared to be slightly less spicy and without CHUNKS OF onions and sweet green peppers in Do not recommend.

Just received an Uber eats from here! First time trying, you can tell a lot of love care and attention is put into the dishes. Also is very authentic and actually every element has depth of flavour unlike most Indians these days! Only thing is the masala sauce side was a dark rich extremely spicy sauce, not what we ordered or wanted but was still tasty! Just a shame we didn’t get a masala sauce. Will try again! Just maybe something milder 🥵

Really great food here. We went when it was quiet around 6pm. Had a few starters a couple of pints and a couple of vinios. With the main courses afterwards. Couldn't eat it all so took it home for a snack later on. Thought it was reasonably priced at 100 pounds. And would definitely visit again. Unfortunately forgot to take pictures but it all looked and tased great.

I have eaten here a few times and have always really enjoyed different dishes (recommend the Goan fish curry). Its the most authentic Indian restaurant in the area. All staff are very welcoming, attentive and more than happy to recommended choices if you are unsure.

This is normally our go to place for an Indian takeaway but the experience has gradually been getting worse and we both suffered mild stomach issues after our recent order. It is usually hit and miss what you get with your order as there is no consistency, sometimes we get salad and sometimes we don't, sometimes we get 1 poppadom for £1.95 between two of us and sometimes we get 2, hence we started going to Tesco to buy additional poppadoms to use with our meal. I only mention this as every Indian I have ever used has given at least 4 poppadoms with our meal. For the first time, I made an actual order direct rather than through Uber as it was cheaper and went to pick it up. I asked beforehand if we got 1 poppadom for both of us for £1.95 and was told "yes". I tried to order off the Sunday Special menu but was told that wasn't available for take away orders and again I also asked if I could have my curry a little more spicy and was told "no", all of which I thought was a bit unfair. I was told to arrive for the order at 7pm, so made sure I arrived right on time to pick up my order. I arrived and found nobody there so had to search round and found a pleasant lady who then went into the back and came out and told me the order was late. I waited for 15 minutes before I received my order and found I had been charged £1.95 twice (£3.90) for 2 poppadoms and dips. I queried it and the lady said I asked for 2 poppadoms (there was indeed 2 poppadoms in the bag). I asked what the price of poppadoms was and she said it was £1.95 for each poppadom, which is not clear on their pricing nor menu nor what I queried on the phone. I mentioned that I have previously received 2 for £1.95 in other orders and she said it depends who packs it. I then queried the dips and she said the dips were free which doesn't stand true as 4 plastic pots of dips are clearly more expensive than a single poppadom and if dips were free for every £1.95 order of poppadoms, then I should have received 2 lots of dips. I was slightly annoyed that I had just sat and waited 15 minutes for a late order and charged for two sets of poppadoms when I was told on the phone that poppadoms for both of us would be £1.95. Ultimately, I asked them to take 1 of the poppadoms back and take it off my bill as we had some at home. This was removed from my bill, however I was told they could not take the poppadom back so I could keep it, but I believe this should have been done straight away rather than me having to spend 10 minutes querying it especially as they could have added the poppadom as a good gesture for making me wait for delayed food. For someone who has previously eaten here with take-aways twice a month, I would recommend it but I personally will be trying some alternatives, the currys and the food in general is really good apart from last night but I don't feel they go the extra mile for those who have a take away as it lacks consistency in the food you receive especially as it is not the cheapest place to eat.

Yesterday I went to Copper lounge restaurant for the first time to have dinner with my family the food was very delicious Served with hot and fresh the staff were all amazing and friendly with good service.

1st time ordering tonight and waited 1hr and 45mins for a takeaway we was extremely disappointed I would definitely not order from here again ❌ what a total waste of money jam and toast would of tasted better!! ‼️ shocking‼️

I have walked past this place a few times but didn't realise how good it was, we have been to a few authentic Indian places in Manchester but never thought there was anything like this in Stockport. We got a takeaway I had a lamb byriani and we shared samosas, the rice was the best rice I have ever had in my life and the lamb was unbelievably tender. Will definitely be ordering again!

Birthday meal for 9. Well catered for in a busy restaurant and the food was hot and fresh. Everybody left full and happy with their choices.

had our first take away from here after been told the food was nice. really dissappointed neither of us enjoyed or meal i hardly ate any of it. the chutney for the popadoms was awful . onion bhajis tasted awful the meat in the curry was very chewy.

The food here is absolutely amazing. I have just had a take out and I am really happy with everything I ordered. By far one of the best around. Must also say the food is worth every penny. Definitely will be getting food here again

Quite simply a beautiful evening. Perfect polite and attentive service. A selection of street food was stunning so many delicate flavours not in any way your usual “Indian” can’t recommend it enough thank you to everyone there .

Recommended by a friend so headed here after a few hours at the Lyme park national trust. Started off as a rocky start, they have a drinks (does not explicitly mention alcoholic only) deal on certain hours of the evening, only mentions that it doesn't apply to wine bottles but the waiter refuses to honour it on soft drinks or lassi. Mango lassi was better than the sweet lassi though. Gourmet society states the restaurant accepts them but we were told by our waiter said they don't do any deals at the moment - so fault lies with gourmet society. We ordered the Chinese sizzler - the chicken lollipop was underwhelming but the remaining was good. We went with Malvani chicken and chilli coriander naan for mains - both were good. Overall good food. They do advertise on the windowsill as taking American express but declined when tried to pay with amex.

Only had the takeaway via UberEats, but a very impressive few dishes. Authentic quality food, great spices and plenty of left overs. Will order again! Update: We went in person eventually. Just as amazing.

We made a booking online but decided to phone up to go earlier, which wasn’t a problem. We arrived and was greeted by 3 lovely members of staff. We was shown to our table and ordered drinks. If you go before 6pm they are 2 for 1 which was a bonus, we ordered poppadums whilst we looked through the menu, we ordered 4 and it worked out £7.80 which is considerably costly! We ordered a mixed vegetarian sharing starter, which was delicious and very filling ( my husband did miss him meat from his starter, but did make this sacrifice for me ) I found everything on the sharing platter very tasty and would happily order any of them again, Our mains arrived, but too be honest we hunger ordered and was too full to enjoy our mains so took the majority home, we ordered the garlic prawns (delicious) Chicken wings (not tried yet, brought these home ) Kolhapuri veg which was very tasty, not hot so don’t worry if your scared of spice. It actually reminded me of a Sri Lanka curry, The staff were all amazing and friendly, food was hot and fresh and served on lovely table wear,

I'm not a great fan of Indian quinine, that said, I'm looking forward to my next visit here. Food was excellent and well presented. My meal wasn't too spicy as I requested but the others in my group wanted food with more 'kick' which was catered for, so all pallets pleased. Not a large restaurant but definitely a good one with limited but easy parking.

We are regular customers when are daughter visits from Bristol, always on a Sunday for the Thali. Initially disappointed to discover that they now had a set meal menu. That disappointment quickly dissipated, the menu was excellent, well cooked, everyone enjoyed the meal. Great experience and will continue to return. Also the waiter excellent, professional.

Pleasantly surprised and impressed by the lovely ambience - bright colours and lots of paintings depicting Indian culture. Even the food was served in traditional copper vessels etc Food was very authentic, first time in UK paneer tikka masala tasted like what we had in India. Very good & friendly customer service by Venki who served us mainly and also Raghu

The food sold here is the kind of Indian food you get across Asia, not your typical British Indian type food, but dishes with a fresher flavour; not the place you come to for a Madras or Korma (they don't do them anyway) Choice is amazing, quality is outstanding, service is good. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for.

Visited the Copper Lounge on Saturday (August 2022). Had an excellent meal, the food was among the best Indian food I have ever had. The Railway Lamb was fantastic, the lamb had been properly marinated and very tender. Service was good. Just a slight warning some of the dishes classed as "mild" were a little hotter than expected. But for me the food was spot on.

Extraordinary restaurant without doubt... Great to visit with friends or family. The ambience is good as well. I used to visit every weekend and they never failed to impress... Appreciate their service... especially the manager, Sandeep and Venky. Thali at Sunday afternoon is a must try. I would strongly recommend you to try these dishes: Thali (at Sun afternoon only) Veg Kohlapuri Chicken Briyani

We tried Copper Lounge during lockdown and then finally got chance to attend in person! And have been back so many times since. Absolutely love the extent of vegetarian options. The food is simply delicious and you are spoilt for choice. Even the plates and drink vessels are authentic. The staff are so welcoming and friendly …. everyone should go. You won’t be disappointed.

Amazing food, so glad we found this restaurant as have been struggling for a good Indian restaurant for a while. We are working our way through the menu but have not had a bad dish yet. Our favourites curries so far are the Malvani chicken and Andhra lamb (railway lamb is good if you want less spice). The tandoori lamb chops are also a delicious starter and I think the peshwari naan may be the best I've ever had!

The best Indian we've had! Lovely food with fresh ingredients, good service and fairly priced. Even the beer was great (White Nancy).

First class 4 of us were there we all had a different dish, we all agreed that the food was very spicy, but not unpleasantly so. Sopplemented by some thirst class ale ( brewed in Reddish) as an alternative to cobra. Can't wait to go back.

Second time, after being very impressed at the food that came out of that kitchen. Trying to think of a fault...Nope Service, excellent, and the food, having eaten true Indian food this place is the best around. Don't usually take the trouble to comment. But the Copper Lounge really do deserve 10 /10. Don't shout too loud or we won't get a table when we want one.

Our taxi man even told us how gutted he is to have his day off on a Monday so he can longer come !!! Speaks volumes FIRST time for us and wow amazing food, great atmosphere and very welcoming

This restaurant serves the most wonderful curries you could ever wish for, there has never been anything that I would say was not of good quality and as for taste everything is different unlike other Indian style restaurants. I had the prawn dish on this...
