Always enjoy the food here. Place doesn't look much from walking in but the food is always spot on and the price is very fair for what you get. Open kitchen too so you can see the cooking in action.

Fantastic tastes, friendly staff all freshly cooked. Stopped off after a long journey and was glad of the choice. 2 for 1 off taste card too!

After the night nearly being ruined by another restaurant after pre booking a table that never happened we , a party of 10 headed over the road to ‘Gatley Tilla Masala’ , we were welcomed by a lovely gentleman (think he was the owner) who was polite & couldn’t do enough for us all night. We ended up picking the £15 set menu , was popadoms , a starter , a main , a side & a desert. (Brilliant offer). Food was lovely & was presented nicely too , I honestly couldn’t rate this place highly enough , will definitely be returning. Also the restaurant doesn’t have an alcohol license but you can go to the ‘bargain booze’ round the corner & take own drinks in. A+ 👍🏻

I visited today with my sister and mother, We all ordered the offer 5 courses for 15 each.. The popperdons came out quickly.. Then 1 hour later came the starter.. 50 minutes after the starter the main course hadn't arrived yet after being told it will be a couple of minutes, Several times we said we are going to have to leave as it had been over 2 hours. There was only 3 tables in there when we arrived.. 1 of wich stated they had been there 2 hours.. By the time we finished out starter there was only 1 table of 2 left so it was not busy... There was no apology what so ever just a demand of £21 for the popperdons and 3 starters and a can of coke each, we said we wasbt really happy with the service so the man said he will reduce it to £10 we paid him and started to leave. Before being shouted at by the chef.. Screaming give me my money now, we explained we had to leave as it had been to long and had to get home to children and the man had told us to pay £10 he continued to shout abuse and demand more money or he was ringing the police.. We gave him the rest of the money but I am appalled at the service and disgusted with his behaviour I will never go back there again!!!!! Just to top it off I did ask earlier for a glass of ice for my drink.. And he brought a dirty glass with 1 small piece of ice..

I was looking forward to this after a few pints and was not disappointed... the food was excellent, freshly cooked and served by the friendly boss man. Only thing, which we didn't realise before making the booking was, no Alcohol licence, so only serve water and soft drinks... Still worth a visit though.

Recommended by a friend last year have been many times.Inside could do with a lick of paint but you will not a get a better tasting curry in Manchester 2 curries 2 starters 1 chips 1 pilau rice 1 chapati 4 poppadoms & chutney tray for less than £30 also you can take your own drinks in.Takeaway is excellent as well

Just had a delicious curry from Gatley Tikka Masala. Ordered online and then went to collect it. Dopiaza, Sambar and a veg bhaji all really tasty and just the right levels of spice. Great Naan and chapati too. Looking forward to trying some different dishes next time. Thank you

Came here as it was pretty local and it was on the meerkat app so thought we'd give it a go. Recieved a warm welcome from the older gentlemen who wad the waiter. The kitchen is an open style one which is often reassuring. The interior is in need of redorating and lacks cosiness. The tables are very crammed in so you hear everything going on at the table next to you. The food was good, I really enjoyed the tikka makhani . Husband had Rogan Josh which he enjoyed but found too spicy. Portions were a good size and there was plenty of meat in each curry. Drinks selection a bit poor as not licenced, so basic pop drinks only. On the whole, it's probably better for a take away as it's so dingey on the inside but a good local curry house for sure.

This is hands down the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to, I have visited this restaurant multiple times with family and friends. The staff are very welcoming and friendly they will go out of there way to make sure you are comfortable. The food is delicious and freshly made. They have amazing deals so the food is always amazing value for money. They allow you to bring in your own alcoholic drinks and they will give you glasses and Ice. They give you the option to take your food home if you don’t manage to finish it all as the portion sizes are brilliant. What more could you want.

Came in with my girlfriend whilst staying in Wilmslow for the weekend and safe to say the best decision we made! Greeted at the door with a handshake by the manager and they couldn’t do enough for us to make us welcome, all the food was freshly prepared, generous portions and tasted fantastic! 100% coming back, would highly recommend and cannot beat the value of the 5 courses special!

Staffing levels mean that they can not cope with providing take-aways and looking after sit down diners. Unfortunately the owner would rather prioritise the take out orders and consequently there can be delays of over an hour between ordering and the food coming to the table.Management tip - if you do not look after your existing regular customers - they will go else where.

We unexpectedly found ourselves here after our hotel had let us down for our evening meal. Very friendly welcome from all the staff and although we can't remember our meal choices now (it was 2 weeks ago) we remember they were very good, tasty with decent portions, we were well full. Not being locals we didn't know they didn't serve alcohol but it seems you can bring your own. Place was clean and from what we could see of the kithcen that looked clean too.We would certainly visit again.

Went with my husband and 9 year old, asked for a blackcurrant cordial. When it arrived there was ice and something floating that we initially thought were ice chips. Thought I had better check as my son reached for it, good job I did. There was green mould clouds floating in the glass!!!! How the server didn't notice is beyond me, good job I checked or he could have been seriously ill. NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN health board will be informed

Hemos ordenado comida para llevar de aquí algunas veces y cada vez ha sido deliciosa. La comida siempre se cocina a pedido, fresca y lista para ser recogida en 20 minutos. El personal es muy amable y siempre valora la devolución personalizada. Lo recomendaría a cualquiera y espero comer pronto en el restaurante.

Mi hija había comido comida india antes, pero por lo general su amigo la pedía y nunca la había tenido, así que le pedimos al servidor que nos ayudara. Tuvimos el 4 curso para 12. 50 cada uno en el cual el amable caballero nos ayudó a ordenar. ¡Fue excelente! Disfrutamos cada bocado. Obviamente no soy un experto en este tipo de comida, pero fue realmente delicioso. ¡Gracias por darnos la bienvenida tan cálidamente también!

Las críticas de este restaurante son realmente muy buenas, así que decidimos pedir una comida para llevar y entregarla. Hicimos un pedido en línea a las 4. 45 pm y nos informaron que sería entregado dentro de 30 a 45 minutos, lo que fue bien para nosotros. Pedimos pollo tikka masala y un cordero Rogan Josh 2 arroz pilaf y 2 panes naan, nada difícil que yo no hubiera pensado. A las 6 p. M. Llamamos al restaurante para averiguar dónde están los alimentos, solo para que le digan que está en camino; que estará con usted en un minuto, y nuevamente a las 6. 15:00 nos dijeron que acaba de dejar que está buscando en su libro su dirección que está en su camino. He estado yendo aquí por alrededor de 2 años, siempre es bueno que las chuletas tandoori sean increíbles. El personal es amable, los precios son realmente buenos para la cantidad y calidad de la comida, si no está en el menú, feliz de ayudar a que mi papá sea una salsa extra picante, nada es demasiado problema, definitivamente vale la pena intentarlo y aún mejor es traer tu bebida propia!

Sólo pedimos un pequeño llevar entrega estaba bien. Pedimos samosas de verduras. Eran insípidas. Cordero Bhuna estaba bien. La parrilla tandoori mezcla era muy pobre, no tiene sabor, la carne era muy dura y tenía que ser tirado. No volveré por más comida.

Este es, de lejos, nuestro favorito de la cocina india/Bangladesh en Manchester. Solían basarse en Hale Barns, antes de que se hicieron para aclarar antes de cabinas fue construido. Hemos empezado a hacer el viaje a Gatley cada vez que decide tener comida para llevar porque no hay nada cerca que viene cerca de la calidad. Me sorprendió ver que he bajado los precios de la comida, sospecho que he tenido que hacer esto debido a la competencia en esa zona. Sinceramente creo que no, que si no eres muy grande en la comida india puede estar preparado para hacer una excepción para este restaurante una vez que has probado algo fuera del menú.

This was our first visit, ordered a curry I had not eaten before off the menu what an amazing curry, chilli Nepalese curry, you can adjust flavours if wanted to make hotter or milder. My fiancé had I think it was called Archian curry also amazing flavours, Bengali salad to compliment. You could see the food being prepared, bring your own drinks, shop next door very handy. 5 courses for £12.50 and 7 days a week, what more could you want. Established for 30 years originally from Hale Barns and relocated here a couple of years ago. We will definitely become new regulars :-) Who can grumble taking your own beer in and having a 5 course meal of this quality for £12.50 , have paid a lot more for a lot less quality in other restaurants and would definitely stay the best curry house by far in Gatley, others believe in quantity and not quality.

We called in here about 8.30pm Sunday evening, a little dubious as the restaurant was empty! Was made to feel very welcome and straight away was told about the £12.50 offer which was amazing value. The food was as nice as anywhere I have been in Gatley and wish them in luck in the future. most people stick to the well established Indians but I would say give these guys a try and you won't be disappointed!

we visited on Saturday night and were made to feel very welcome. we did not know until we get there that there was a special set price 5 course menu we could choose from. Poppadoms, any Starter, any curry, any side dessert and coffee. The price was £12.50.. which was amazing value. I had the paneer chilli for starter and main meal was chicken tikka chilli silsilla. Both were delicious. We were in a group of 9 and every enjoyed the food. You can also take your own alcohol too which saves a fortune. Looking forward to going back with the kids soon .

Nice open clean n family friendly resturant.We ordered staff chicken curry,very authentic taste. And ordered Chicken korma curry. They throughly enjoyed it,even though they are fussy eaters.We went very when it was quiet.....it was smelling lovely when the chef had started our order.

If you are local, you need to try this place, bring your own booze and super flavoursome food.The owners and staff are always pleased to see you and cant do enough to helpOnly complaint would be, it is sometimes cold in the restaurant area.

Best curry we've had in ages . Sunday banquet is excellent value. Bring your own alcohol as well which cuts your bill down. We love the place

Visited here one Saturday night and everything was fantastic!! The decor, atmosphere and food were all top quality, served by helpful waiter staff the food was brilliant. As a big fan of Indian food i was really impressed with the portion sizes and quality of the meal. The prices are competitive and offer great value for money, the evening was filled with great food and service. Will Definitely be visiting again.

placed an order online and paid for it via just eat, then the phone rings, can we collect,we said no, he said we have no driver and asks again can we collect and he will give us 15% off, again we said no, not forgetting we had already paid, he says he will have to send our order in a taxi, we said ok,shortly after the phone rings again asking for our postcode and saying we gave it wrong to just eat ( we have had many a delivery from just eat) so i said no we havent and gave the postcode again, he then said we live in Sale, i said no we dont, we live in Timperley again he said you live in Sale, i said NO, the meal arrives later than it should have,(delivered by them, not the taxi) well what can i say, the pilau rice looked really greasy, the chicken korma didnt look like korma, the meal was only just warm, the papadoms were stale, and bendy, not crispy like their meant to be,and this was only my meal, i wont go on, this is the first time i have eaten from here,and it is my last, the whole meal was awful, maybe it would have been nicer if we had eaten in,i wont be finding out either.

We order a takeaway from tikka masala at least one a month.The chicken jalfrazi is a particular favorite. The service is always excellent and very friendly. Whilst waiting for the order there are newspapers and offers of a drink. We have eaten in a couple of times. They also pop in small bag of Bombay mix with the order. There's a lot of completion in Gatley for eateries but after trying this place it's now our number one and has been for a while.

This is a lovely restaurant. Bangladeshi style cuisine. Very friendly service and spotless hygiene. It's a BYO, so you don't get hammered with a bar bill.

We decided to get out of the house for a bite to eat as we had been painting all day and couldn't face cooking and wandered to the Gatley Tikka Masala. Very helpful staff, the place is unlicensed but they will actually nip up the road for you and bring you in your beers at cost price!. Fabulous Biryani and Ginger Chicken.

Heard about this relatively new Indian restaurant through a friend so we decided to pay a visit, we were it disappointed! The owner was very welcoming, the food was fantastic and the prices very competitive! It blows the competition away including the arrogant Gatley Tandoori!

Have been to Gatley Tikka Masala more times than I can remember. Every time the food and service is always fantastic.The portions are massive and the quality and taste is always perfect. There are not too many tables in the dining area so you don't feel squashed in (like Gatley Tandoori) and the staff are always friendly. The kitchen is completely visible from the dining area so you can see its clean professional.They also do a great meal deal on Thursdays and Sundays, but even without the deal the price still very reasonable. Definitely wort a try if you haven't been before. It is the only local curry house I will go to!

we were spoilt for choice last Friday evening. So many Indian restaurants in GATLEY now. We chose this one because the parking was easy. The two of us were greeted straight away and made to feel very welcome by an older man .The owner I think. My husband placed our takeaway order and because we were first time customers we got free pompadoms. We ordered tandoori chicken and a mixed kebab to start. Our main meals were Kashmiri chicken,which contained almonds,pineapple and banana. My husband had mukhtar chicken which was chicken in a creamed sauce. Two portions of pilau rice and a peshwari nan bread. We were able to watch the food being prepared and cooked.The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully cooked. Very tender. There was so much we had to leave some and had it for lunch the following day.Next time we shall go and dine in.

I decided to try this restaurant as a menu had been delivered and sounded good with some new dishes to try. It was ok but nothing special. The service was good when I went to collect the food and the portions were big even though it was a little more expensive than I usually pay. The restaurant itself was bright and appeared clean but lacking in atmosphere as there was only one table occupied. It's not bad for a mid week curry.

Visited for first time 14/02/2015 Valentines evening for takeaway ,we had passed it many times but usually use one of the other curry houses in Gatley however on this occasion we decided to give Gatley Tikka Masala a try and we were not disappointed.The member of staff who served me was very polite and friendly and the restaurant itself was very modern,clean and very well presented.The food was delicious really tasty&fresh and you could tell the quality of the ingredients ,we could not fault any of the dishes and this will be our indian restaurant of choice in future. We cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and would encourage people to give it a try-We will be regulars from now on

As a well travelled curry lover I decided along with friends to visit Gatley Tikka Masala as I'd passed it many times whilst driving and I wasn't disappointed. The staff were welcoming, the place itself was spotlessly clean and the food was out of this world. Having visited the Indian restaurants of Gatley many times I would have to say that the new kid on the block is gonna give the more established restaurants a run for their money.

Although this is billed as a restaurant, it is more like a takeaway with tables. If you like the older style Rusholme basic curry house, then this is the perfect place. As a bonus, you can BYO and buy soft drinks if you want them. Most of the food is delicious and the house curries are amazing - try the Staff Curry as an example. The lentil pakora was a little dry and the paratha was not crisp enough but the copious amounts of fresh chicken made up for that. In Jan 2015, they have a buy one get one half price so give it a try. You can order online and pay when you get there - cash only but there is a cashpoint just across the road.

Been three times. Different nights always early doors. The fish main courses are delicious we have also shared a platter which is great to try different smaller dishes. It is spotlessly clean and the staff are attentive and friendly. Bonus taking own alcohol as keeps price low. Excellent can't fault it. Writing this thinking I might go after work !!

I used to eat out at the Hale Barns Tandoori regularly and it was always first class - same ownership - and have visited several times since this restaurant/takeaway opened in Gatley.Nothing has changed which is great news, still the same personal service, superbly prepared dishes and generous portions allied to competitive pricing.A confirmed fan and would strongly recommend the Gatley Tikka Massala to all fans of Bangladeshi and Indian cuisine

Went on a Tuesday evening and there were quite a few tables in which is nice to see with so much competition in the area. The service was great and we took our own beer as they don't have a license again a bit of a perk. The menu is really varied and the portions were big. We both loved our food and had a great evening and would highly recommend it.

We ate here tonight. Was a fabulous meal. They welcome you to bring your own alcoholic drinks as they don't have a alcohol license. Very relaxed atmosphere. Staff are friendly and didn't feel rushed between starter and main meal. Also very cheap to eat out. Check out the take away menu which is also very cheap. Big portions for reasonable price. Simply fabulous! Try them out
