The best restaurants serving Indian food in North West

Don’t know what happened to my order. I’ve ordered with them before and it’s been lovely . But this time is wasn’t only cold. The chips were cold and some weren’t even cooked . Chicken tikka was so dry I couldn’t eat it over cooked .

I was really, really disappointed with the food from Mezban. The Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala where barely distinguishable and both equally as bad. They forgot the poppadoms. The onion bhajis were crap too! Gutted

What a disappointment. We went for a family Christmas Eve meal and was massively let down by poor service and awful food. We waited an hour and ten minutes for starters to arrive and they were terrible, just totally bland, even my 8 year old commented that they were tasteless. I understand that it’s a busy night and can accept waiting longer than usual but the standard of food was totally unacceptable. For the first time in my life I cancelled the main courses, paid for the starters and drinks and left.

Got delivery New Year's Eve chicken tikka masala the chicken looked like it had already been chewed and the sauce was watery and cold the popadoms were chewy too insted of crisp. Extremely disappointed especially when asked for no coriander and there was coriander in things I ordered

Formerly known as Nasib Tandoori on Kew Road in Birkdale, this Indian take-away has new owners and a new name - The Tandoori. (I believe it is now owned & run by the people behind Kasturi on Eastbank Street in Southport town-centre.) On entering, I particularly liked the view through to the kitchen - giving me confidence in their offer. Selecting from a smart and comprehensive menu, I ordered the following: King Prawn Danchak (£9) Mushroon Rice (£2.60) Aloo Gobi side dish (£2.75) They advised me waiting time was 30 minutes and the food was ready in about 25 mins. All dishes were enjoyable. Decent portion sizes and good prices. The King Prawn dish had 10 large prawns which were very tasty. I asked for my vegetable dish to be made hot and they got this right. All in all it was pretty good and I`ll be back. Main course chicken curry is a very reasonable £4.75 & boiled rice is £1.65, so you can eat from here without breaking the bank. Free parking directly outside the venue, on the road nearby, or across the road. PRO TIP: ring ahead to place your order on 01704 568637. If you collect and spend £15 or more, you are entitled to a portion of pakora & poppadoms for free!

The smell of this place is divine and is very promising of the food to come. The food is flavourful, the portions are generous and the staff are lovely and polite. Absolute favourite!

Food are absolutely amazing. Serving was massive. Staffs are friendly specially Saif and Ibrahim. Ambiance are so nice.
