Great service, great food, good range on the menu. Definitely worth a visit.

Me and my husband come here on special occasions and absolutely love it. The service here is outstanding and they really do make sure you're happy and got everything you need. Will be visiting here alot more in the future. The food is 5*. We don't go anywhere else for our curries. Recommend 100%

This was one of the best Indian takeaways we’ve had in a very long time! The food was absolutely delicious, plentiful and hot. We collected the food as the wait time for delivery was a while, but no wonder as it’s so good and when we arrived the place was packed! 😁 There was also some complementary popadoms and sauces in the bag when we arrived home which was a nice touch👍 It was value for money and definitely worth a visit; we won’t be leaving it as long next time! 😉

They would have got a 4 star review but for the fact they are way behind the current zero/low alcohol market trend. Get a few different beers in!! Preferably a lager and a IPA, plus Guinness? Also, while someone at the table is still eating their starter or main course, it is VERY rude to clear the rest of the table!

Just returned from Venus after having their Christmas Day Dinner. What an outstanding meal. Wife and daughter went for their usual Tikka Masala, I had the Honey Chilli Lamb. The food was fantastic. The Masala was spot on, the chicken very tender and the Honey Chilli was awesome. The honeyed sauced took the edge off the green chillies and complimented each other perfectly. The lamb was just melt in the mouth tender. The fish pakora starter was light and fluff, the batter perfectly done. It was busy, as expected, but the staff were very organised and their usual friendly selves. A great place to eat. Well done guys.

Came for an evening meal with my partner. Ordered wine, poppadoms, mixed starter for 2, chicken tikka bhuna, mixed korma, vegetable rice and naans. Food was fantastic, and the staff were lovely - very friendly and attentive. The environment was ideal - pleasant and relaxing. Will 100% come again soon!

Quite easily the best Indian I’ve ever had

Had a lovely meal here this evening celebrating my wifes birthday. Thanks to all the staff. Food was delicious.

The staff were well mannered and helpful, it took a bit to unwrap the menu, but the dishes that I had were very good, and not skimping on quantity, shall certainly go again, parking is a little difficult, best weigh up on map in advance.

Ordered takeout a few times rather than dining in, quality and portions are absolutely amazing. An item was missing from my last order, I rang up and they kindly dropped it over rather than me collecting it. Staff are polite too, highly recommend!

Excellent food service and menu. We had a great time and the service was prompt, polite and very helpful. Great menu and range of dishes and good prices too. Quality was excellent. We have been several times before and will certainly be be back again.

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant. I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal. This spot gives extraordinary service and yummy meals. One of my favourite restaurants around town. Highly recommended.

A family new year treat and a veritable treat it was. The ambiance was immediately friendly, warm and welcoming in a spacious setting. We were given a lovely little table at the back of the establishment with easy access to the facilities which were clean and well maintained. The staff literally could not have been more attentive towards us, our every need was met with a truly 5 star service. The food was spectacular honestly. I tried some of everyone's dishes because I'm that person haha. I had the chilli keema puri and it was a delight, followed by a lamb achari. My daughters sizzling lamb chops were amazing also. Every aspect of our evening was fulfilled with enthusiasm and we will certainly be back again. Thank - you.

Went to their New Year eve meal and the food, service and entertainment were very good. Great atmosphere with lots of families. Will definitely go again.

Had a staff do there the other night. Despite being absolutely packed they bent over backwards to fit everyone in. The service was great and were well looked after, even making sure that people's tastes were catered for. The food was delicious (of anything too much food!) - definitely want to go back and try some of the other dishes. The restaurant was easy to find with parking at both the back and over the road, less than 30 seconds from the entrance. Absolute credit to Heywood.

Absolutely amazing experience. Loved the food, cooked to perfection. Hospitality couldn’t be faulted - 10/10 - would 100% come back, staff were so friendly, kind and accommodated all of our requests, that too with a smile on their faces. Would defo recommend.

We got a takeaway on Saturday I had the Honey Chilli lamb & my taste buds were certainly tickled. The dept of flavour in this dish was just fantastic & plenty of Lamb too. They allways supply popadums & a free beer. Will definitely have this dish again.

Had dinner here on Thursday, 13/10/22. Great friendly welcome as we walked in. It was my daughter's birthday and she'd brought 2 friends. The waiters were great at letting them sit at their own table. The food at this place is gorgeous. Very tasty and very fresh. Recommend the chilli chicken stir fry starter which was delicious. I asked was the dish gluten free which it wasn't but the waiter said they would modify it so there was no gluten. Excellent service. Highly recommend Venus. Excellent food and brilliant service from the friendly staff. 10/10.

We had high hopes when trying Venus lounge because of all the amazing ratings. We ordered takeaway last night. The curry was awfully oily and was literally oil, sauce and meat, no type of veg, onions or anything in it. I always have the same curry at each place I go to, so could compare easily to others. It just wasn’t a patch on other places. We’re really gutted and have both had a bad stomach last night and today. We are regular curry eaters and don’t usually have this problem. We definitely won’t be returning. Such a shame.

Ordered take away this evening.. could not fault it at all. Definitely recommend and will be back.

drinks watery, poppadums and chutneys good, mixed starters ok in the main, lamb biryani outside of some of the meat was dry, other pieces were tender, madras sauce tasty. Prawns in the other biryani were overcooked and like chunks of rubber and the sauce was lacking in taste. The Head waiter did offer a reduction in the bill. Also offered to cook another to take home but refused, Doubtful we will be returning.

Fantastic food excellent service

The food is great but why have a singer performing at Sunday lunchtime? He was clearly very talented but it was so loud I couldn't talk to my family sat next to me. I hate to complain about live music, but this seemed totally inappropriate for the setting. I go to a restaurant to spend quality time with family. Would be 5* otherwise.

Was easy to order and collection time was too long to wait. Would be better to have a separate waiting area for collection orders as felt a bit strange waiting basically in the restaurant for my order to come out. Food was really nice but the rice felt a bit wet if that makes sense but still really tasty and got some free poppadoms. Would definitely try again.

I go once a month food Is just ok because it’s all the town had to offer customer service needs sorting you shouldn’t rush people and treat all tables the same!!!! If it’s 2 person or 10

My son had his 40th birthday here, and we had a great time, the food was the best I've had for a long time "outstanding" and the rest of party enjoyed it to. Staff were great, and very helpful. Fabulous time had by all.

Attended for a family party and Micheal Jackson night, waited 45 minutes for appetisers, meal came out 2.5 hours later and was stone cold. Poor service manager couldn’t even offer anything other than it to be remade, by this point wasn’t even interested had been waiting nearly 4 hours. Poor service, poor quality food. DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

I can honestly say we have been coming here for years and have never had a bad meal. The food and the service is always always top quality. The place is very clean. I wouldn’t bother going anywhere else.

We haven't been here for a few years so wasn't too sure what to expect. We came when it was very busy but luckily we didn't have to wait too long for our food to be served. They made us feel welcome. If you are still a bit nervous about covid I would not recommend as customers were quite casual about the rules here but that is not the restaurant's fault and it didn't affect our experience at all. I would have given it 5 stars as all of my meal was perfect. It was all very tasty and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a paneer bhuna for main. My husband on the other hand said the Rogan Josh was rather bland so perhaps it depends on what you order but I was impressed with all the sides too and the starter was the best Indian starter I've ever had (onion pakoras). The portions were also very generous. They have good children's options too for the little ones. I can't wait to come back if it's this good every time.

Placed an order four hours ago and I've rang three times to be told the same thing. I understand its NYE but 4 hours for food to be delivered when we are a ten minute drive apart is extremely bad.

Lovely food. The early bird menu is very good for a person. Recommend the samosas for starters. Curry is very nice and so are staff

Me and my family ordered food for delivery on Saturday evening. Food arrived within an hour. Chicken pakora's were soggy. Tikka masala wasnt good either. The chicken was hard and sauce tasted like it wasnt homemade. We had had better indian food from the local takeaway at half the price! Wouldnt order again. Waste of money.

We went on the second night of reopening for diners and were well at ease. there was hand gel at the entrance and all the staff welcoming, as ever,wore masks. The tables were set out for social distancing. The food was great, i tried the nawabi for a change and it was fantastic.It was nice to feel near normal again.

From the outside and the name, this looks like a run of the mill, nothing special kind of buffet. After a bit of googling I saw reviews saying it was great, and wanted to treat my husband (because he is amazing). We got there and straight away, hand sanitizer and wipes available, staff were SUPER friendly and felt immediately welcome. Ordered the food and had literally, the BEST lamb chops I've ever had. Gorgeous. Amazing main course and all the time, incredibly attentive service with some excellent personalities that we genuinely enjoyed chatting to. We were treated to a lovely drink at the end which was incredibly kind (and delicious) and I absolutely cannot wait to go again. What an easy place to underestimate - never again. Will be bringing our family and friends here for definite. Best date night in ages <3

Having eaten here many times last night was our last. The food is amazing and the staff great but come on really charging £21:00 for a bottle of wine from the supermarket which is on offer currently at £7:00 a bottle is out of order. We always have a bottle of white and a bottle of red which normally costs twice the price of the food. We never take the complimentary drink at the end so why rip us off like that? We always give a tip too. So disappointed and have to say we will not be back again.

Very good takeaway with the kids. Extra onion bahjis as we didnt want a drink on the house while we waited. Great service will return.

Went here on Saturday evening for a meal with my husband, food was fabulous and service excellent. Staff were very attentive and explained different dishes on the menu that would suit our tastes, we will definitely be coming back.
