Had the most lovely take away tonight for my birthday. The food was beautiful and fresh and plenty for 3 of us. Definitely be ordering again.

Shanti delivers to your door and it is the best Indian in Formby!! Recommend the Korma, Balti and Pilau rice. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

I recently dined at SHANTII and was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience. The food was exceptional, with each dish bursting with authentic flavors and expertly crafted spices. Midweek was quiet. Sooooo tasty food, starter and main for 3 all plates were amazing and very tasty, lovely friendly staff. Highly recommend.

I ordered a takeaway and whilst I think the price is fair and the delivery driver pleasant I food upon delivery was not hot the naan breads cold one over cooked the other under seemed like batch cooked and reheated and the curry it’s self lacked depth and flavour and the chicken tasted as tho it was not marinated and was boiled separately then Added to the sauce Typical batch cooked base sauce spices added at the end chilled then heated to order won’t be quick to order again very disappointed I never complain at all but I have a big interest in this food and experience I know the inns and outs but this was not disguised well at all

Long-established Indian restaurant on the northern side of Formby. Very friendly service. Comprehensive Bangladeshi-style menu, well cooked and presented. Decor modern and well-maintained. Prices moderate.

After a long day at the Formby beach with family, friends and kids we were in search of a good halal restaurant nearby. We are glad we rang up here and booked a table. A modest sized, clean restaurant where 12 of us sat comfortably. All the staff were polite and dealt with every request. The food was of very high quality and catered exactly to our liking. Everyone enjoyed their meals, especially the garlic king prawn starter and the chicken saag were outstanding. Prices were fair too. We will definitely return on our next visit.

Have visited several times, although would not describe ourselves as regulars. Have never been disappointed. Linen cloths and napkins and an overall impression of care and cleanliness set you up for well cooked and presented food served promptly. If my other half was fonder of spicy food we would be here more frequently.

A lovely meal, quality ingredients and freshly prepared. It was very quiet but midweek tends to be that way. The staff were attentive and couldn't do enough for us. The prices are reasonable and worth it for the standard of food.

12 of us went and the service and the food was exceptional.

Beautiful restaurant. Popped in last minute from a beach road trip from manchester. Staff super friendly and welcoming. Food was EXQUISITE, flavours had lots of depth and good sized portions. You can always rate a place based on their lamb chops and these did not let us down, fell off the bone. Mackerel starter like something my grandma used to make, very authentic. Chicken and mince curry delish and the naan was freshly made. Really yummy, definitely come back if we were in area again.

We had to wait because of Ramadam ,they could cook until after 8 .the food was beautiful, had veggie korma and Ali made sure it was really good ,sometimes korma can be over sweet not here it really was delicious.

Met up with a friend who lives locally whilst working in Liverpool this week. The food was superb - beautifully balanced flavours that were simply divine. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. I look forward to working over this way again and having an excuse to vists Shantii again.

We moved to Ainsdale in 2018 and have tried several home delivery restaurants and you have nailed it for us! Thank you for excellent cuisine.

Only my second visit to the Shanti but on both occasions the service was first class and most importantly the food was excellent. I will certainly be returning again.

Wanted to check out Formby beach and ended up having a meal in Shantii restaurant we were surprised the meal was great. I’ve had Lamb tikka Jalfreze with keema rice and my uncle had lamb tikka Rogon Josh the both curry was spot on. Lamb was nice an tender not like other places I’ve been to

Ordered a takeaway from there and it arrived spot on estimated time of arrival. The food was fresh and piping hot and was really tasty! Excellent quality and excellent value for money. Was impressed with the quality and service when I ate in the restaurant - wasn't expecting the same from the takeaway but it was delicious, will definitely order again and would recommend it thoroughly.

We visited SHANTII last Saturday( 5th of Dec) for the first time , and it certainly will not be our last. The Restaurant was almost full house and we didn't book, despite of this the staff arranged a table for us very quickly and was very friendly to us. The food was very good with great flavour. A hidden gem with great staff in Merseyside. Looking forward to our next meal here!

After about 10 years of getting my takeaways from the shanti 3 worrying issues have come to light.1/ the quality of the food has dropped significantly.2/ the order is often wrong or items missing.3/ regularly overcharged for the takeaways.I have been getting my takeaways about every 2 weeks and recently noticed that the charges seemed high, when I checked against the menu I noticed that I had been charged £2.20 too much.Yesterday (16 Oct 20) I decided to give them one last chance and pay via the online portal, however when I tried ordering the bill came to £16.50, however you could only order it and pay by cash! So I rang my order through, and whenI collected it, the charge was £18.70 (coincidentally again £2.20 too much). I decided to pay and Gigi e and double check the price.The card machine is always held at an angle so that the display can’t be seen, and no printed receipt is given, when I returned home I checked my order against the menu and found that my price calculation was correct.I feel violated and cheated as a very loyal customer, but will not use the shanti again, they can keep all of my extra £2.20s, from this point forth I will try the zyka as are a lot of my friends, I will also get my takeaways from the Redgate as I used to.Please all double check how much you are charged for your takeaways!For the benefit of the restaurant my order was :-1 x Chicken Tikka Nagano Zee @ £7-501 x saag aloo (side order). @ £3-501 x Kashmiri rice. @ £2-751 x Keema Naan @ £2-75Total. £ 16-50 (Not £ 18-70My debit card transaction went through the till at approx 1846 hours on 16 /10/20Sorry Ali but you have lost a very loyal customer and I will never use the restaurant again..

Me and my girlfriend came here for dinner as the eat out scheme was still on. Was all very nice and staff were very friendly.

Cannot fault food at all-hoqever as i was driving i opted for a soft drink as did other family members - not keen on cola and begrudge paying same as alchol so opted for my favourite soft drink, lime and soda-was astounded to be charged £20 for 4 soft large drinks especially a soda drink - i have travelled up and down the country and even in london have never paid more than £2.50 - check the price of soft drinks first - shame as food was good but wont dine in again

We come to Formby quite regularly and have been driving past this restaurant for the last 5 years and we finally decided to give it a try.It’s a relatively small family run restaurant but the food is gorgeous. We will definitely be back mr Ali.

I've travelled to many parts of the UK eating in Indian restaurants, including London. Being non meat eating, Indian restaurants have a great choice. This far outshines any indian restaurant I have visited. I order a vegetable jalfrazi, no potatoes and plenty of coriander and have had numerous curries over the last few years. I get lots of different fresh vegetables in it and not just what some do with Iceland frozen veg of square carrots and peas mix etc. Everyone I have taken there has loved it and found it to be the best they have visited. I'd like to put it up for an award!! Amazing place!!!

If you want the coronavirus then order a takeaway from here it's vile and the curry sauce is like slop, won't be ordering again unfortunately

We thoroughly enjoyed our buffet lunch. On our arrival we were welcomed by the owner who is very pleasant. We cannot fault the quality, variety or quantity of the food. However one of the waiter who was serving needs to maintain his professional boundaries instead of over staying his welcome when serving at our table/returning to take our baby's toys away from him without any logical explanation!

Another Sunday buffet and as ever the food is amazing. Best recommendation is the Shantii chefs special, absolutely phenomenal. Been coming for several years and the quality of the food and the atmosphere is brilliant as ever. And because it’s it’s buffet there’s something for the whole family.

This is a superb Indian restaurant that serves good quality food. The staff are helpful and very welcoming. The food has a sliding scale of spice, even the most hardened fan struggled with the level 6. Higher is a tasty challenge. A very good curry house.

First time takeaway, VERY impressed with both quality and presentation of a meal for Ten on what would of been a very busy xmas break evening. Also presented with a free bottle of wine which is was a nice touch. I live in the South so I also appreciated the cheaper menu! Highly recommended.

We arrived at around six-ish. Waiter was surprised when we said that we were there for the buffet. Anyway, the rice must have been there all day, dried up and hard. Starters the same. Mains were ok but with no rice to accompany them, well... Perhaps we should have gone earlier. Staff are fine as is the decor etc; but we won't be going back there.

Shanti is wonderful, the staff are so friendly and the food is incredible, either as a take away or eating in.

We decided to eat Indian on this particular Sunday and found the Shanti ready to please. Nice clean tablecloths and napkins and great smells welcome you. Somewhat scant starters on offer and having to wait for main course plates were the only failings, but the food was great. Plenty of "Not too hot" available which was a big plus point and a vegetarian main available . Certainly will come back with friends.

I’ve lived in Formby all my life and have never been to Shantii before. I eat a lot of curry but, it’s on the other side of town so, usually I’d get takeaway. So, I decided to take my mum out for dinner this evening and it was absolutely delicious! (Definitely recommend the Duck Roti) I have a nut allergy and almond flour was easily replaced with coconut flour so, that was great! The whole meal was a delight and very well priced. The whole bill, for 2, with drinks, was just north of £50. Two starters, mains, naan, rice and beers. Lovely staff, gentle, unobtrusive music and a warm atmosphere. Will definitely go again very soon... or order a takeaway Vicki ✌

Moved up from West midlands a few years ago and have struggled to find a good Indian restaurant. Came across Shantii two months ago. The best by far. Always excellent food and great service. Wish I'd found it sooner Simon

We were glad the Shantii was open on Sunday night as 8 of us were very hungry after a days golfing at Formby Golf Course.

I'm a new customer and ordered a takeaway for a family gathering, I must say we all enjoyed our meals and would recommend Shantii. such friendly staff too, might eat in the restaurant next time..

Last night only a curry would do! This is a local restaurant to our friends house and in perfect walking distance. The staff were extremely friendly and very knowledgeable, answering all the questions my husband asked about the different dishes. There were some different dishes on the menu which I always like to see as well as all the normal ones for those who like a traditional curry. Overall the food was very nice. We wanted to take our leftovers home in a doggy bag which one of the waiters had trouble getting his head round...surely this is normal behaviour taking your leftovers home?! (Apologies for the part eaten lamb chop I had as a starter, I couldn’t wait!)

I thought this was the best ‘standard’ curry restaurant I’ve eaten in for many years. I tried a prawn puri, onion Bhaji, and my own mackerel starter. Mine (the fish) was fantastic and the other two absolutely great and very freshly cooked as well. The mains - a lamb kichira, 2xprawn and 2xchicken plus 3 different vegetable dishes were very tasty - I particularly recommend the green beans dish. Value for money is fantastic - I have eaten in’posh’ indian restaurants in Birmingham at twice the price that weren’t as good. Interesting beers as well! Try the IPA and the mango cider. Very friendly staff and/or owners.

I really love my curries and this was one of the best I've ever eaten. The Madras I opted for was full of flavour without being too hot and over spiced. Portion sizes were perfect and the Indian beer was ideal to compliment the curry. The restaurant itself was perfect, airy and contemporary. All the staff were very professional, polite and had a great sense of humour, they all made us feel more than welcome and were very attentive throughout. The menu was very substancial and will most definitely entice me back in the not too distant future.

The food here is amazing. It's full flavoured and delicious. The portions are generous. If you like food more or less spicy, the chefs will make your food to the perfect spice level. The friendly staff are great. They're attentive without feeling like they are hovering over you.

The food here is splendid I had the chicken tikka masala and it was one of the nicest curries I have had in a long time. Reasonably priced drinks and meals, and the service was great! Would definitely recommend

Well what a rude waiter (thin with a beard). I made a mistake looking at the menu and he rudely said That’s not a meal so your not ready to order then and moved off. From the moment we arrived there was something About him. The atmosphere changed as soon as manager arrived. Meal was nice but I won’t be going back as the attitude of the waiter was one the the worst I’ve encountered.

I asked for a medium curry and it turned out to be the mildest of mild so wasn't quite what I was expecting. The staff were friendly the service was good and they offered helpful recommendations. I'll give the restaurant another go.

Went here onMonday for our tea and was plesently surprised how good the food was. The manager who’s name I think is Ali was attentive and gave a great explanation of what we ordered and how hot we would like each dish.

Husbands birthday, so he had the choice of venues so as usual we chose the shantii..... Fabulous meal as always and I like madras hot, and my curry was cooked to perfection.... Never disappointed 😍😍😍👌👌👌
